A/N: Added a Drifloon to Haunter's children.

Day 6

Swellow lopped in the air, prompting his offsprings to try to copy him. The Swallow Pokémon loved to bond with his hatchlings as Ash watched. The Hoenn regional bird soared right to the ground and pointed his wing to introduce his children to the trainer. Each of them carefully eyeing their parent's trainer before giving their own introductions and interactions.

[Wingull, the Seagull Pokémon. With its long, thin wings, it catches updrafts and flies like a glider high up into the sky.

Gender: Male

Ability: Keen Eye

Moves: Growl, Water Pulse, Quick Attack, Wing Attack]

Wingull circled the Alolan Champion before landing on his head, nipping playfully with the raven black hair. Ash laughed before carefully prying the Seagull Pokémon, one happy cry escaped the Hoenn Water/Flying-type's beak and did air tricks for joy. After a series of techniques, possibly from his dad, and calming himself, Wingull flew back to Swellow and earned a ruffle on his head.

[Swablu, the Cotton Bird Pokémon. Its cottony wings are full of air, making them light and fluffy to the touch. Swablu takes diligent care of its wings

Gender: Female

Ability: Cloud Nine

Moves: Fury Attack, Disarming Voice, Mist, Round, Dragon Breath, Safeguard]

Swablu hummed with a delightful tone, making Ash interested in what the light blue clouded-wing bird had to offer. The Cotton Bird Pokémon flew with a whimsical flight pattern with her wings, surprising Ash but then again he rarely saw happy flight patterns in a Flying-type since he hadn't been to contests for three journeys. Despite that, Ketchum appreciated Swablu's effort earning a nuzzle on the cheek.

[Skarmory, the Armor Bird Pokémon. Its body is draped in steel armor. It looks heavy, but it can fly at speeds of up to 185 miles an hour.

Gender: Male

Ability: Keen Eye

Moves: Peck, Fury Attack, Metal Claw, Agility, Wing Attack, Slash, Steel Wing, Autotomize]

Skarmory was alert and attentive. The Steel/Flying-type partially had a more serious but gentle behavior, accepting as his father's trainer. The Armor Bird Pokémon may have been the oldest as he tried to keep his siblings safe but also didn't mind them hovering around him. In Ash's mind, a fast but defensive Pokémon gave a new perspective like with Heracross' Shuckle.

Climbing down a tree with an offspring, Sceptile greeted his trainer with a nod. Another offspring flew down with the other on their back which scampered behind their father's leg in fear. Looking at the three with the Hoenn Grass starter, Ash was impressed and was glad to meet the children. Each had their own habits but could be potential great for his team.

[Axew, the Tusk Pokémon. These Pokémon nest in the ground and use their tusks to crush hard berries. Crushing berries is also how they test each other's strength.

Gender: Male

Ability: Mold Breaker

Moves: Leer, Crunch, Slash, False Swipe, Dragon Claw]

Axew brought Ash memories of Iris and Unova. The Tusk Pokémon was so ecstatic and clambered onto Ketchum's shoulder, which was unusual to the boy's shoulder. Pikachu, indifferently, welcomed the Unova semi-pseudo dragon onto his level which made the Unovan chitter with joy. Seeing the young green, tusked dragon made the Pallet Town native think of a Haxorus on his team.

[Helioptile, the Generator Pokémon. When spread, the frills on its head act like solar panels, generating the power behind this Pokémon's electric moves.

Gender: Male

Ability: Sand Veil

Moves: Mud-Slap, Quick Attack, Thunder Shock, Bulldoze, Volt Switch, Parabolic Charge]

Helioptile was the bashful Pokémon from the Forest Pokémon's trio of children. Which reminded the trainer about the first time he met Alexa's Generator Pokémon before she warmed up to Pikachu and himself. Luckily, Sceptile was able to encourage the Electric/Normal-type to introduce his trainer, which eventually made the frilled lizard run in-between and up Ash's leg to his shoulder . Unlike Axew though, Pikachu found it was getting rather crowded and hopped to his trainer's head as he acknowledged the Kalos Electric-type with a small mutual shock.

[Drampa, the Placid Pokémon. Drampa is a kind and friendly Pokémon—up until it's angered. When that happens, it stirs up a gale and flattens everything around.

Gender: Male

Ability: Berserk

Moves: Echoed Voice, Twister, Protect, Glare, Safeguard, Dragon Breath, Extrasensory]

Drampa immediately adored his father's trainer, flying happily all over the place. He even tackled the Alolan Champion to the ground, which unfazed Ash as he was used to the tackles. The Placid Pokémon ceased his manners and nuzzled the trainer, enticing a laugh and a rub on the head from the receiver. Thinking about the Normal/Dragon-type himself, Ash thought about how powerful, with the proper training, Drampa could be and eventually a strong battler for him to use.

Corphish scurried and tackled body-first into Ash, clamping his pincers with joy. Getting the Ruffian Pokémon off him, Ash gave the crawfish a pat on the head. The Hoenn crustacean soon ceased his affection and had his offsprings pop their heads out of the river and approach Ash.

[Corsola, the Coral Pokémon. Coral branches grow from its head. They break off quite easily, but they grow back in about three days.

Gender: Female

Ability: Natural Cure

Moves: Tackle, Harden, Endure, Water Gun, Aqua Ring, Ancient Power, Bubble Beam]

Corsola bounded up and down, and like many (and more to come), tackled Ash. This one was more forceful, possibly due to the Rock-typing aspect of the pink coral. Ash scratched between the branches of the Coral Pokémon, making her purr with delight. Thinking about Misty's Corsola, Ash saw the Water/Rock-type being a great teammate and the coral herself was fond of the idea of battling. Corphish, though, had to pry her off Ketchum before getting his next child.

[Tirtouga, the Prototurtle Pokémon. This Pokémon inhabited ancient seas. Although it can only crawl, it still comes up onto land in search of prey.

Gender: Male

Ability: Solid Rock

Moves: Withdraw, Protect, Aqua Jet, Smack Down, Ancient Power, Bite, Wide Guard, Brine]

Tirtouga dragged himself on the riverbank until he reached Ash, who met him halfway as he didn't wanted the reincarnated Cover fossil to strain himself. Ash rubbed along the black shell of the Prototurtle Pokémon which was met with a laidback attitude of the attention he was getting. The ancient turtle eventually crooned as the trainer got a certain spot on his shell, making the boy smile.

[Clauncher, the Water Gun Pokémon. By detonating gas that accumulates in its right claw, this Pokémon launches water like a bullet. This is how Clauncher defeats its enemies.

Gender: Male

Ability: Mega Launcher

Moves: Water Gun, Vise Grip, Flail, Aqua Jet, Smack Down, Hone Claws]

Clauncher snapped when the trainer came close the first time but Corphish explained to the blue lobster through PokeSpeech and the Kalos crustacean felt embarrassed for his actions. But a nice back rub made the Water Gun Pokémon relax, his body language showing of content as the boy gave him love. Knowing how versatile a Clawitzer can be from his matches with Sawyer, the lobster would be great for him.

[Crabrawler, the Boxing Pokémon. Its hard pincers are well suited to both offense and defense. Fights between two Crabrawler are like boxing matches.

Gender: Male

Ability: Hyper Cutter

Moves: Bubble Beam, Rock Smash, Leer, Pursuit, Power-Up Punch, Dizzy Punch]

Crabrawler shuffled, sizing up Ash before throwing a few air punches. Its body language indicated he wanted to fight and Ash would be more than happy to help with that. The Boxing Pokémon seemed to even respect the other Fighting-types on Ash's team, especially Primeape given how he would attend and practice with the Pig Monkey. Corphish allowed this but he seemed exhausted trying to keep his child from going overboard with his punches.

[Staryu, the Star Shape Pokémon. Large numbers of these Pokémon make their home at the seaside. At night, a strange red glow radiates from the center of their bodies.

Gender: Unknown

Ability: Natural Cure

Moves: Tackle, Harden, Water Gun, Minimize, Confuse Ray, Rapid Spin, Swift, Psybeam]

When Staryu's core flashed, Ash wasn't sure what it meant. After all, the brown starfish didn't really have a mouth or face. But when the Star Shape Pokémon hopped up and down, Ketchum seemed to relax, knowing it possibly meant that it appreciated being recognize. The starfish even leapt into the boy's arms, blinking with joy at being held. Ash went along with it and started to rock the starfish which led to the core blinking with joy.

Like Corphish, Torkoal also tackled his trainer, letting out smoke spew from his nostrils and shell. Getting off, the Fire-type tortoise let loose a stream of fire that gathered his offsprings together like Bulbasaur does. From the three that he owned, Ash could see them becoming stronger as he trained them.

[Numel, the Numb Pokémon. Its humped back stores intensely hot magma. In rain, the magma cools, slowing its movement.

Gender: Male

Ability: Oblivious

Moves: Growl, Ember, Tackle, Focus Energy, Bulldoze, Flame Wheel, Amnesia, Lava Plume]

Numel lumbered over and was very cheerful like his dad. The trainer scratched underneath the chin of the Hoenn camel which set of an accidental Lava Plume from the hump. Torkoal, though, was able to get the Numb Pokémon to cease the Fire-type attack, making the camel blush with embarrassment. Ash just sweat-dropped before taking a more gentle and slower tone with the Fire/Ground-type, still getting the same enjoying reaction.

[Stunky, the Skunk Pokémon. It sprays a foul fluid from its rear. Its stench spreads over a mile radius, driving Pokémon away.

Gender: Male

Ability: Stench

Moves: Poison Gas, Fury Swipes, Feint, Smokescreen, Acid Spray, Focus Energy, Bite, Screech, Venoshock]

Stunky purred, being the most welcoming of the Coal Pokémon's offspring. Getting scratched and belly rubs, the skunk was clearly loving the affectionate, evident in mewing the kit produced. It never occurred to Ash to catch the Sinnoh dark purple skunk but he hadn't come across another Poison-type he wanted on his team during Sinnoh. But the Skunk Pokémon would have been a great addition to his growing roster. Plus, he never was one to use status moves all the time but maybe Stunky would be give him an eye opener into that battle style.

[Kecleon, the Color Swap Pokémon. Kecleon is capable of changing its body colors at will to blend in with its surroundings. There is one exception—this Pokémon can't change the zigzag pattern on its belly.

Gender: Male

Ability: Color Change

Moves: Thief, Tail Whip, Astonish, Lick, Fury Swipes, Bind, Shadow Sneak, Feint, Disable, Psybeam, Ancient Power, Slash]

Kecleon vanished from Ash only until Torkoal let him know it is alright. The chameleon de-cloaked himself and chugged to the trainer's leg. Getting a nice rub down his scales, the Color Swap Pokémon purred with comfort and gave a nice lick on Ketchum's cheek. Knowing how meddlesome the Hoenn chameleon during battle, the boy figured he could incorporate these techniques into his battling style like how Harrison did with his.

Like Haunter, Glalie was a mischievous member of Ash's team. And like Totodile, that trait was passed down to his offsprings. Some weren't as misbehaved, favoring pranks and other hilarious situations to their pleasure. A few other Pokémon on Ash's team, acting as aunts and uncles, had to reprimand them for their antics whenever Glalie didn't contribute. The Face Pokémon seemed to be the carefree uncle most of the time, hardly ever interfering or stopping his children's options.

[Snorunt, the Snow Hat Pokémon. Snorunt live in regions with heavy snowfall. In seasons without snow, such as spring and summer, this Pokémon steals away to live quietly among stalactites and stalagmites deep in caverns.

Gender: Female

Ability: Inner Focus

Moves: Powder Snow, Leer, Astonish, Double Team, Ice Shard, Protect, Icy Wind]

Snorunt was nimble and energetic despite it not being a cold climate. She was also the most well-behaved of Glalie's children. She didn't attempt to do anything sneaky, being more polite. The Snow Hat Pokémon hopped into her trainer's arms and let out a happy cry as she received belly rubs. From the majority of the Face Pokémon's children, he deduced that she was the youngest among them. And after remembering what he learned with the Hoenn pure Ice-type's line, Ash thought about have a potential Froslass on the team.

[Yamask, the Spirit Pokémon. The spirit of a person from a bygone age became this Pokémon. It rambles through ruins, searching for someone who knows its face.

Gender: Male

Ability: Mummy

Moves: Astonish, Protect, Haze, Night Shade, Disable, Will-O-Wisp, Crafty Shield, Hex]

Never having heard this description of the Spirit Pokémon, Ash internally shuttered and began to think of the many Ghost-type entries that made him scared. But shaking that thought, he remembered they are still Pokémon. Yamask hovered with an ominous aura but he calmed himself around Ash. The Unova Spirit Pokémon floated with a cheerful expression and Ash smiled at another Ghost-type on his team.

[Bergmite, the Ice Chunk Pokémon. It blocks opponents' attacks with the ice that shields its body. It uses cold air to repair any cracks with new ice.

Gender: Male

Ability: Ice Body

Moves: Rapid Spin, Harden, Tackle, Powder Snow, Curse, Icy Wind, Protect, Bite, Ice Fang]

Bergmite shared his dad's mischief behavior but also didn't take it as far. The living icicle didn't cause much trouble as he also favored training. Once again thinking ahead, Ash knew how strong the Ice Chunk Pokémon's evolution would be as it would act like Torterra in a way. But even if Bergmite decided that he wanted to evolve, Ash would accept him without a doubt.

[Mawile, the Deceiver Pokémon. Mawile's huge jaws are actually steel horns that have been transformed. Its docile-looking face serves to lull its foe into letting down its guard. When the foe least expects it, Mawile chomps it with its gaping jaws.

Gender: Female

Ability: Hyper Cutter

Moves: Astonish, Growl, Fairy Wind, Baton Pass, Bite, Stockpile, Swallow, Spit Up, Sucker Punch, Iron Defense]

Mawile truly lived up to her species name. She was very deceitful, cunning, and she often did her antics with Charizard's Salandit, the two acting as best friends. Just as she was mischievous, she also favored getting attention. Ash and Pikachu had to convince her to stop with the antics but she was relentless, continuing to soak up the attention. Glalie, though, came around and had to give her a small warning from what Ash could only describe as a scold.

[Vanillite, the Fresh Snow Pokémon. Born of an icicle, this Pokémon uses its frosty breath to make ice crystals, causing snow to fall.

Gender: Male

Ability: Ice Body

Moves: Astonish, Harden, Taunt, Mist, Icy Wind, Hail, Icicle Spear]

Vanillite hovered joyfully and loved to use his Ice-type capabilities. Glaile, being the Fresh Snow Pokemon's dad, loved that fact about him. The biotic ice cream didn't share a troublemaking trait and was perhaps the most jolliest of the Hoenn Ice-type's children. The Unova Ice-type Pokémon was careful, training in private to master his many Ice-type moves, even Glalie helping him.

[Honedge, the Sword Pokémon. If anyone dares to grab its hilt, it wraps a blue cloth around that person's arm and drains that person's life energy completely.

Gender: Male

Ability: No Guard

Moves: Aerial Ace, Fury Cutter, Shadow Sneak, Autotomize, Metal Sound, Slash, Night Slash]

Honedge didn't enjoy mischief and he just hung back for the time being. Ash, remembering what the Pokédex had said, was again careful and the Sword Pokémon allowed it. With out doing any damage, he hovered with a look of satisfaction in his eye. The Kalos Steel/Ghost honed his skills in private but was also stern with his siblings. Mostly in stopping their childish antics but he often played with them when they were not being mischievous. Honedge seemed to be the most serious of them.

A/N: Next up is Sinnoh!

Harrison: Yes, that Pokémon had offsprings.
