It was going the same as every other day, to the silver-haired boy.
The sun was shining brightly in the sky, causing him to squint as he attempted to watch the rising ocean water that kissed his toes.
Every day went the same, the boring routine of waking up, existing, eating, existing, hanging out with Sora or Kairi, and then more existing.
He was getting tired of just sitting around on his lame-excuse-for-an-island, but there was nothing he could do unless he wanted to swim miles and then more than likely, drown.
His wandering mind hasn't take a rest since the day he'd come up with the conclusion of other worlds besides his own.
Having told his theory to his friends, he had nothing left to be but wait.
Tearing the boy from his thoughts, a younger boy with light brown hair and piercing blue eyes took a seat next to him, wiggling his toes in the water.
"What're you doing, Riku?" he questioned, looking out into the horizon.
Riku sighed, pushing a few stray pieces of his glistening sliver hair out of his face.
"I'm thinking, Sora…about a way to get out of this place…"
The young brunette exhaled deeply, resting his head on Riku's shoulder.
"What's so fascinating about getting off of the island?" Sora asked.
Riku simply shook his head, moving his gaze from the ocean, to the spikey head that had taken temporary shelter on his shoulder.
"Don't you ever think about what's beyond these waters…what adventures we could go on…what a different life and home we can have?"
By now Riku was on his feet, his hands flying to emphasize his words.
"There are so many different things out there, waiting for us to discover."
Sora laughed, also rising to his feet.
"You amaze me."
Riku looked skeptical. "How so?"
The brunette pulled Riku into a hug, whispering gently in his ear,
"You just do"
(Yay! My first tiny Soriku one-shot. I'm actually surprised I wrote this pairing, it's not one of my favorites alt all, lol. What did you guys think?)
