Pain and Him

This is a really short poem about how Starfire feels after Slade rapes her.

I feel the pain

The excruciating pain

I look in the mirror

There is blood on my hands and face

I have cuts and bruises

All over my arms and legs

I cry freely to ease the pain

The pain is too painful to remember

I remember it vividly,

But I don't want to

It's all because of one man

A man with a mask on his face

So I cannot see

And yet I know his name

The name

I spit at it

I will escape him

His name…

Is Slade
