It was finally our summer vacation, and I was hoping to get all the stress out my system. Yokai is a good place to hang, but nothing can ever beat being with your friends. Well, except Tsukune. Dying can beat being his friend. We were waiting at the bus stop for it to arrive, so we could leave. Sai was doing one handed push ups, I was practicing, and Tsukune was just being Tsukune.
"I wonder when the bus is gonna be here." I said, practicing my Tae Kwon Do.
"It'll most likely be here soon, just be patient." Sai told me, continuing to do his push ups.
After throwing one more roundhouse kick, I caught a glimpse of Moka, heading in our direction.
"Moka's coming." I said, going into my Muay Thai stance.
"So it seems." Sai said looking up to see her coming.
"Do you two ever stop with the whole training thing? I mean come on, it's not like you need to be full of yourselves." Tsukune said.
"Tsukune, you can never learn the value of training, so shut the hell up before Moka loses her only purpose for staying near you." I said, doing a three kick combo.
"Exactly. Unless you train, which you don't, it's the best thing to do, when you are waiting, or you just wanna pass time. This is a concept of which you'd never understand because you know no type of fighting art." Sai said, continuing his push ups, currently at 10,000.
As Moka reached us, she was dressed rather girly, as opposed to the fact that she didn't look girly on the regular basis, she looked girlish than usual. Not that it's a bad thing.
"Hey you three." She said cheerfully.
"Hey there, Moka." I said doing a jumping knee.
"Hi, Moka." Sai said continuing to do more push ups. Currently at 15,000.
"Hey, Moka." Tsukune said in a girl like fashion.
"You guys are early, the bus doesn't come for another half hour." Moka said.
"Sai and I got bored, so I came here to be bide my time. And Tsukune, you're gonna wanna move." I said doing three spin heel kicks.
"Why should I move?" He asked.
I quickly ran to where the scarecrow was and roundhouse kicked it, sending Tsukune with it to the left side of the cliff.
"I told you to move jackass!" I called.
Moka ran over to him and helped him up. Sai was laughing while doing his push ups, which the laughing caused him to stop at 20,000. when Sai finally stopped laughing, the bus had come to pick us up.
"It's about time." I said
As the bus was pulling up, we saw Ms. Nekonome hanging halfway out of the door, waving at us. Beforehand Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore had joined us in our wait.
"Hi, guys!" Ms. Nekonome called cheerfully.
"So, she's gonna be our instructor for this trip?" I asked.
"Seems like it. By the way, are you gonna do the flashback scene?" Sai asked.
"Nope." I responded dryly.
As the bus came toward the bus stop, Ms. Nekonome was hanging halfway out of the bus. After finally getting some leave from Yokai, I honestly though nothing could go wrong on this trip to the human world. I just hope that nothing goes wrong. As we got on the bus, Yukari and Kurumu began arguing again. They honestly never stop. At some points it makes me wanna kill them in the most horrible way possible, but I need them to protect Tsukunes's pussy ass from danger, because quite honestly, Me nor Sai are not going to do it.
"So Damion, what are you gonna do when you get into the human world again?" Kurumu asked.
"I honestly don't know. I'll probably just hang out with the only part of my family that I have left." I answer dimly.
"Do you seriously have to make everything you say sound depressing?" Yukari asked.
"Do you wanna be able to breathe correctly for the next six months?" I asked.
That immediately shut Yukari up and the rest of the way to the human world she was quiet. Just the way I like it. When we arrived in the human world, me, Sai, and Tsukune, we so happy to be back in the human world again. To be back home.
"I can't believe it..." I said almost tearing up.
"Dude, I am so happy..."Sai said.
"I'm back home!" Tsukune shouted jumping to the window.
"Dude, we're as happy as you are, but you gotta calm down." Sai said pulling him back in his seat.
"What was that all about, you sound like a human." Kurumu said.
"Yeah, you sure seem excited." Mizore said tonelessly.
"(Oh shit!)" I thought.
"(This isn't good.)" Sai thought.
"You know why? He's just lived here so long, this place feels like home to him, right Tsukune?" Moka lied.
"Uh, yeah sure.." Tsukune said looking back at them and scratching his cheek with his index finger.
"(Good save.)" I thought.
"(Good cover, Moka.)" Sai thought.
The bus arrived at the beach, Sai pried the doors open and immediately ran to Lady to give her a hug. The poor girl was almost knocked over by all his enthusiasm.
"Lady, you're here!" Sai shouted happily.
"Wow, so it seems you really smarten up around your girlfriend, huh Sai?" I said getting off the bus.
"Hey, no I don't." He retorted.
"Who are you trying to fool here Sai? Everyday at school, you always start talking shit, then when it comes to talking about girlfriends, you start becoming nervous and shy." I said taking off my jacket, revealing my weights.
"Yeah, we've all seen you do that. So this time it really is no different from the other times you've been like this." Mizore added.
Sai thought about getting defensive, but we had him at too much of an impasse for him to say anything, so he just left it alone. The rest of his friends from the infamous DMC shop came by and I already knew who they were. But the only one I really had my eyes on was Dante.(Not in that way, you sick fucks.) Our friends from the DWMA also came by to see us.
"Well whadaya know. If it isn't Dante, Nero, Trish, and Lady." I said, taking off my weights, which weigh roughly two tons.
They all looked surprised when I said all of their names, and got ready to attack. Maka, Black Star, Kid, Liz, Patty, Soul, and Tsubaki thought I was just causing trouble again.
"You don't wanna do that. Trust me when I tell you, I've fought the devil, and won." I said with an intimidating glare. "But if you all wanna dance, I'll happily send you all six feet under." I say, stretching.
"Calm down guys, he isn't an enemy. He's very powerful, and really doesn't take kindly to getting shot at." Sai said, getting a bit nervous.
"Well, we don't take too kindly to strangers who happen to know us." Dante retorted.
"Oh, come on, he's a demon just like you, Nero, and Trish. He's also a vampire, and my friend." Sai said, making them stand down.
"Well, why the hell didn't you say that before?" Nero said, walking to me and holding out his hand.
I shake his hand while admiring his arm.
"I can only imagine how many other demons wanted to get their hands on this kind of power. You should really consider yourself lucky that I'm not one of those demons who only want more power. But don't worry about the whole situation of pointing your gun at me." I said looking at him.
Then seemingly out of nowhere, his girlfriend, Kyrie, came and hugged him. I let go of his hand, and went on about my business. I walked to Mizore and kissed her. Then after I felt like I was forgetting something. A few minutes of thinking, it finally hit me. Figuratively and literally. When I was able to come to my senses, I saw my sister, Selene on top of me.(Not in that way, you sick fucks.)
"Hey there, brother." She said.
"Damn, Selene. You could at least give me some kind of WARNING before you do that." I said clutching my ribs.
"Sorry." She said, chuckling.
I get her off me and I got up and wiped the sand off my person and my hair.
"Damn. This is gonna take awhile to get out of my hair. Thanks a lot, Selene." I said still trying to get the sand out of my hair.
"So, Damion, who's this?" Mizore asked.
"Oh her? She's my younger sister, Selene." I answered.
The rest of the Yokai group walked over and I introduced them to Selene. And Tsukune was just staring at her, but I decided to ignore it for the time being. That is until...
"Hey, Damion, Tsukune's fawning over your sister in his mind. His exact mental words were: 'Wow! I can't believe she's Damion's sister! She's adorable! Not to mention gorgeous!' And he's got an annoying anime background behind her again." Sai said.
"Wow Tsukune, you must really wanna die today." I say cracking my knuckles and my neck.
Sai instinctively backed away and stand behind Mizore and Moka.
"Huh? What are you talking about, Damion?" He ask, backing away.
"I guess he forgot I can read minds, too." Sai said quietly.
"Sai told me what you said in your head. Now let's see how far you skid across the water." I said grabbing him up.
"Sai, if you don't get away from me, I'm going to turn you into an ice sculpture." Mizore threatened.
"Wait, what are you talking about?! What do you mean what I said in my head? That doesn't make sense!" Tsukune said struggling.
"Okay, Damion's over there and he's got his aggression on Tsukune, so I'm good." Sai said, moving back to where he was standing before.
"I hope for your sake that you haven't done anything that you'll regret, because this is the last time I'm putting up with your shit. Now, get the hell outta my damn sight!"
After those words, I took it upon myself to grab Tsukune and throw him far off into the ocean.
"That should give him some frequent flyer miles." I said, looking to see where he lands.
Sai then held up a 10 on one of those cards you would see judges use to score someone in the Olympics.
"Now since that is taken care of, I hope he gets eaten by a shark. But since the plot won't let him die, I know I won't get my wish." I said putting my hands on my hips.
"I see one swimming in, but it's not gonna get him before he reaches the shore. It's too far out and he's too far in. That's not one of the fast ones!" Sai yelled to me.
"Damn it. Now I wish I threw him farther." I said stretching.
"Hey Damion, come over here!" Sai called.
I walked over to him to see three people on his left and right.
"I wanna introduce you to my brother Lance, my older sister, Katana, and my younger sister, Serena." He said cheerfully.
I shake all of their hands and introduce myself.
"Hey, I'm Damion Castro." I said shaking each of there hands.
Then I suddenly felt an enormous amount of power emanating from Sai's brother. I don't know if he was trying to intimidate me or if he was trying to establish that he was the dominate one, but either way, I never back down from anyone. I ignored it and continued to greet the other members of Sai's family. After the introductions everyone had the chance to relax on the beach. Mizore, Kurumu, and Yukari went into the water, playfully splashing around. Unfortunately for me and Moka, we had to stay on the beach, away from the water, because we're both vampires. Fortunately enough, Tsukune went with them. I only sighed and thought about my past life as an assassin.
"Damion? Is everything okay?" Moka asked in deep concern.
"Yeah...I was just thinking about my past. My old life as an assassin." I answered.
"If you don't mind me asking, what was it like?" She said.
"It was hell. Every single day of that life, I deeply regret. I've killed thousands of people, and after finding the wherewithal to wake up and see what I was doing wrong, I wanted to live a normal life. I had to fight for it. Constantly fighting just to live the life of a normal, everyday human being. But, I can never be human, and I never will be. That's my fate." I said, fighting off depression.
A sudden breeze rushed by and a peddle of some flower landed on my shoulder. I looked to the direction it had come from, and my eyes were locked onto the beauty above us.
"Moka, look up there." I said, pointing upward.
She looked and was astonished by the sight. After gathering everyone, we decided to invest our time into going up there. Once there we saw that it was an entire field of sunflowers.
"Oh my god..."I said in a blatant loss for words.
"This place is beautiful." Moka said, looking around.
"Fuckin' A right." Lance said.
"Meh. Nature. I hate nature, it's so UNNATURAL. I'm probably gonna start getting my allergies soon and- achoo!" Sai tried to say before he sneezed in Tsukune's face.
"Dude, that's just gross." I say.
"Like you wouldn't do the same thing. Seriously, Tsukune is only in this series to be our punching bag, Moka's walking vending machine and to prove how stupid he is." Sai said, closing the fourth wall behind him.
"I know that, but dude, sneezing on him is a little much." I said.
"Thank you Dami-" Tsukune tried to say.
"Don't say it or I'll gut you like a fish." I threatened.
"Okay, fine. I'll pretend he's worth more than garbage." Sai said.
"Guys, is it really necessary to treat him like this?" Selene asked, taking a wash cloth from her bag and wiping Tsukune's face with it. "Trust me, this isn't my first rodeo. I notice you keep staring at, but I'm sorry to say that you aren't my type, not to mention I've been on the lesbian side of things." Selene informs him.
"Yes, it is. If you've been with us throughout the school year, you'd treat him the same." Sai replied.
"Alright, enough. Let's just keep moving." I said, moving along.
As we walked around, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was another presence in the sunflower field besides us. Either I was going crazier than I already am, or my superstitions could right.
"Brother, are you okay?" Selene asked me.
"Hmm? Oh yeah, I'm fine." I responded.
We continued to walk along, then I heard the chatter of a couple who weren't far from us.
"Oh no, how did we get over here?" The woman said worriedly.
"What are you talking about?" The man asked, oblivious to her own questioning.
"I've heard so many rumors about this hill." She said.
"Rumors?" He questioned.
"They say that people keep disappearing from this hillside, because of a witch. That's why people have call this Witch Hill." She explained.
"Seriously?" He asked.
"Yes! That's why I'm so freaked out right now. Come on, we have to leave." She said, tugging on his shirt.
"Just wait a minute." He said trying to make sense of what was going on.
"Let's go!" She said grabbing his arm and pulling him with her.
Back to us.
"You hear that? It seems like your relatives are going around kidnapping people." Kurumu said teasingly to Yukari.
"And you seem to believe everything you hear. You're just about as dimwitted as I thought you were." Yukari retorted.
"I know this, little witches get on my nerves." Kurumu snapped.
"And I don't like succubi whose only redeeming feature is being a sex pot!" Yukari snapped back.
"What would you know anyway, you're just a kid." Kurumu said folding her arms across her chest.
Then in spite of her anger, Yukari secretly took out her want and made a golden wash tub appear above Kurumu's head and let it drop on her.
"What the hell was that for?!" She asked enraged
"What, I just dropped a wash tub." Yukari answered.
"You know that's not what I meant." Kurumu said.
Right after that, Yukari did it again.
"You brat!" Kurumu yelled.
"Come on, that's enough!" I shouted, scaring them. "Let's go." I demanded.
As we were leaving the hillside, I still felt the presence, but decided to ignore it. For now. Back at our spot, we were setting up camp. I was helping Mizore set up inside the tent, Moka and Selene were helping each other cook, Tsukune and Kurumu were carrying the cooler, Sai and Lance were doing god knows what with their time, and Yukari and Serena were just standing there doing nothing at all.
"I wish there were something I could do to help." Serena complained.
"You're telling me." Yukari said, standing right next to her.
After a while, everyone had settled in. Serena was in a separate tent with Selene, same went for me and Mizore, Sai and Lady, Kyrie and Nero, and Death the Kid, Liz, and Patty. Yukari however, stayed outside and thought that she couldn't do anything remotely helpful. She then ventured back to the sunflower hillside by herself. and stood near it, admiring the view.(Classic anime cliche.) Then Yukari noticed someone was watching her, so she turned to the piercing eyes of the person.
"Hey there." The stranger said.
"W-who are you?" Yukari asked.
"My name is Ruby, and I've was watching you when you came up here this afternoon." She explained.(Is it just me or does that not come off as just a bit stalker-y? Or should I say Mizore like?)
"You're a witch?" Yukari asked.
"Yes, and I live up here on this hill." She said. coming out of the shadows.
Yukari was nervous, because she hasn't seen another witch ever since going to Yokai Academy.
"Yukari." She said faintly.
"You know my name?" Yukari asked, getting even more nervous.
"Is it okay if we're friends?" Ruby asked.
"Uh..." Yukari got out, trying to form an answer.
"So that means we can, right?!" Ruby said with much excitement. Running to Yukari and hugging her, pressing her face into her bosom.
"Ruby, I uhh..." Yukari got out trying to form an answer.
"We're both witches. That means we should be best friends." Ruby said, with a smile.
After a few minutes Tsukune came to the hillside and seeing both Yukari and Ruby.
"Yukari, we were looking all over for you. You had us worried." Tsukune said.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Yukari said, about to walk to Tsukune.
"So, you come back to defile our hill, human scum!" Ruby yelled.
"Huh?" Yukari said, with much confusion.
Suddenly Ruby's wand began to glow brighter and plant monsters came from under the ground. Yukari continuously tried to reason with Ruby that Tsukune had no intention of defiling Witch Hill.
Back to us. Even though away from the hill, I still couldn't shake that feeling I had.
"Sai, I've got a question." I said.
"Yeah, what's up?" He said.
"On the hill, I could swear I felt something...Like someone or something was watching us. Did you feel it too?" I asked.
"Yeah. It felt a lot like Yukari in terms of monster energy and... stuff. I'm pretty sure it's a witch. I heard some couple talking about a witch on the hill, too. Well, we all heard it, since we know how much Kurumu took it to the next level." Then a thought bubble pops out of his head with Yukari hitting Kurumu in the head with the gold washtubs. Then he laughs.
"Sai, I'm serious. I felt stronger than Yukari. Much stronger. And evidently a lot more dangerous. I've got the feeling someone doesn't want us on that hill." I say, with a hint of uneasiness.
"Well, if it's a threat to the people, I think I need some more SOUL food." Sai says, trying to be funny.
"Very funny." I say sarcastically.
I got up and run off to the hill, with my sword in hand. Sai is closely behind me. As we got there, we saw that something was destroyed and it had seemed that Yukari was the one doing the destroying. Soon she fell to her knees.
"Hey, Yukari!" I yell, running to her.
"Damion..." She said faintly.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yes, I'm fine." She replied.
Soon the rest of the group came along and many of them were confused as to what went on. I filled them in and Moka tended to Tsukune, who was still on the ground. As we were beginning to leave them there, I felt something that wasn't right. I turned to see that Ruby was about to kill Tsukune. With a sudden impulse, I ran to him and pushed out the way and took the blow myself. Everyone couldn't believe it.
"No, Ruby, what have you done?!" Yukari asked.
"Damion..." Moka said quietly. "No!" She screamed. Then an explosion of power shook the ground as Moka was in her other form with the removal of the rosary. Kurumu, Mizore, Sai, and Selene were angered with her actions against me.
"How dare you!" Kurumu screamed, rushing in.
Another explosion of power erupted and that was all...
