Chapter 11

Today was the day of our second term of being at Yokai. Tsukune was nervous, I convinced Sai to go back home to be with his family, and I was still very tired of having to save his ass constantly. I stretched as I walked with Kurumu and Yukari latched themselves to my arms, but thankfully, Mizore froze them both and proceeded to latch herself to my right arm. She smiled and blushed when I chuckled slightly.

"Tsukune, at this point I would tell you to calm down, but I can't really say that on the account that you will probably die this time around." I said, with my right hand in my pants pocket and my bag slung over my shoulder while I was holding the straps to it with my left hand.

"I don't know what I should be right now. I'm having mixed feelings about this. I get to spend another year with my friends, but I can't help feel nervous because I'm still going to a school for monsters." He said, with a slight glum look on his face.

"Hey, between you and me the rest of these guys are better off not knowing a damn thing about who you are or what you are, because they don't deserve to know. And we are the furthest thing from friends. If you call me your friend again, I'm going to shove my foot so far up your ass, that every time you open your mouth you're going to taste my laces." I said aggressively, which scared him.

"Tell me something," Moka started. "When we traveled to the human world, you didn't go visit your parents. Was that okay?" She asked.

"Moka, what I'm about to tell you is something I don't want you sharing with anyone." I said in a very monotone voice. "My parents are dead. They've been dead for the past 6 years now. With respect and conscious, I only ask that you do not bring up the subject of parents again."

"Oh, my gosh. I'm so sorry. I didn't know." She said, reaching for my arm.

"Don't worry about it. Like you said, you didn't know." I said, walking by her with Mizore.

As for Tsukune he remembered when he was in the human world he tried to call his mother, but he couldn't get a signal.

(No Flashback. Fuck that.)

While Tsukune was spacing out, Moka took it upon herself to lag behind me and look at him with concern. She was right next to him. Once Tsukune looked at Moka, he jumped.

"Really? You're that easy to scare. Well, come to think of it since you were so scared of a bat in the first episode, I'm not surprised anymore." I said, getting to the gate and being greeted by Ruby.

"Good morning, Damion, Mizore." She said cheerfully.

"What up, Ruby." I said, passing by her and getting inside the school.

*To Moka and Tsukune who were just getting by the gate*

"What are you spacing out about, Tsukune?" Moka asked, concerned about her friend/potential boyfriend in the show/Manga boyfriend.

"Oh, it's nothing." He said, reassuring her.

"Okay." She replied yawning tiredly, but then looked at Tsukune hungrily. "I'm sorry, but I just can't help myself!" Moka exclaimed, tackling him and drinking his blood.

"Not again!" Tsukune screamed.

*Later in the printing room*

We were printing out papers like mad cats.

"Our first issue since Summer break ended is coming out nicely, huh?" Tsukune said.

"It sure is!" Yukari exclaimed, nodding considerably.

I simply sat in my seat, not saying anything. I was too tired, but writing my articles for the newspaper club was something to keep my mind at bay. Something to delude my mind from other things. Writing has always had an easing effect on my mind. It's as a means to clear my head of thoughts and other unwanted things. Moka then gave me the newspaper to look over. As I read it, I caught a glimpse of the what they considered to be the highlight of the newspaper. I was a bit disgusted as I brought the paper down from in front of my face to look at Moka and Kurumu.

"I think the real highlight is about the feature on the latest fashions in the human world. The girls on campus are gonna love it." Moka said excitedly.

"Uh-huh! Of course they will, because I wrote it." Kurumu said.

I then let Tsukune take a look at the paper and he was dumbfounded. They had suggested dark tans and loose socks to be a part of the human world's latest fashion craze.

"Dude, that went out of style before we were friggin born. What makes them think it's gonna come back into style now." I said, turning my music up.

I then got up and stretched. I was about to take a walk around campus to get away from my unwanted harem and the humanoid sexist freak, so I took my ear buds out of my ears and turned my phone off.

"Wow guys. We have a lot of content here. I'm really impressed." Tsukune said, with one of his dime store smiles.

"You know, I'm starting to see why I hate you in the first place. Just your whole radiance is enough to make me want to punch you in the face. " I said as I was about to leave, but Mizore popped up out of nowhere.

I was startled a bit, but I regained my composer.

"Yeah, so am I." Mizore said.

"H-Hey Mizore. You've really got to stop doing that, because one of these days I'm just gonna not look before attacking." I said, scratching my cheek.

"Hey, now since we know each other well enough, from now on why don't you call me, 'Your Little Snow Bunny'." She said, wrapping her arms around me.

"My Little Snow Bunny?" I questioned as I put my hands on her hips.

"Hey, if you two are done, we still have a lot more issues to print, so let's go." Kurumu said in a taking charge of the situation tone.

"Wow, you're really worked up about this, aren't you?" Mizore asked.

"Of course!" She shouted gleefully, latching herself onto my arm. "It was me and Damion who put it together." Kurumu said, nuzzling herself against my arm, to which I sighed.

"That's not completely true, Kurumu. It was a group effort." Moka chimed in, laughing nervously.

"No kidding." Yukari said in an annoyed tone.

"You know, at first I thought you guys were just a clique, and a weird one at that, but now I see that the Newspaper Club isn't half bad." Mizore said, letting go of me.

"Well, I still think this club sucks, but someone has to think it isn't that bad." I said in a very uncaring tone of voice.

*Out at the front gate*

I was sitting in a chair behind the stand for the Yokai Gazette, listening to my music while having my feet up on the stand. I was listening to Panic Attack by Dream Theater (Look it up. It's a great song) and I was 5 minutes into the song, so I zoned out.

"Square! Get your paper here!" Some girls called.

"It's the debut issue of the the Yokai Square, folks!" Another girl called.

"It's super exciting and filled with lots of informative articles!" One girl said happily

"And our first article has a special feature on the human world!" The last girl called.

"Awesome, it's printed in color!" One guy said, reading it. (Really? You're happy as hell because their paper is printed in color?)

"Yeah, and it's got swimsuit photos, too." Another guy said, blushing.

"Whoa! The latest fashion from the human world!" One girl said excitedly, walking by.

"So tulip patterns and Belt Bottoms are all the rage, huh?" Her friend asked, walking with her.

"Just what the hell are they reading?" Kurumu asked, walking up to the girls passing them out

Yukari looked over to see what the name of the club was.

"It looks like that's the Yokai Square." Yukari said, answering Kurumu's question as she was walking off.

Tsukune came up to me and tried to grab my shoulder, but I grabbed his arm, took my feet off the stand and judo threw him from a seated position. I then took my ear buds out.

"What do you want you piece of wasted life?" I asked, looking down at him.

He then pointed to where Kurumu was walking to. I looked in the direction he was pointing, only to see a rival newspaper club.

"Oh, you've gotta be shitting me..." I said, gripping the bridge of my nose.

I got up and walked over to the other side. I stood there as Kurumu was scolding them. I grabbed Kurumu's arms and lightly pulled her away from the girls. I made sure to keep myself between Kurumu and the girls so things didn't get so hectic.

"Who the hell are you?" I asked.

"Me? I'm Kato. The Super Newspaper Club President." She says, with a smile.

"Okay. What the hell are you doing here?" I asked.

"We've gotten permission from the school, and we're an officially recognized club." Kato said, holding up a pass from the council.

I took it from her, so I could read it thoroughly. After reading it, I gave it back.

"I see. It seems we can't stop you from selling your newspaper here. However, that doesn't mean we aren't gonna let this go by any means." I said in a threatening manner.

"Fine by us. We like a challenge." Kato said, with a cocky smile crossing her lips.

Later Moka, Kurumu, Tsukune, Mizore, and I went to talk to Ms. Nekonome about the Super Newspaper Club incident. She practically told us that it'd be down to whichever newspaper club the students liked more would be able to stay. Kurumu saw this as a person challenge. I only saw this as an idiotic way to waste the time of others. As well as my own.

"If they want a challenge, then bring it on!" Kurumu shouted angrily, slamming her fist on the table.

"Hold on! We should ask Gin how he feels about this." Tsukune said urgently.

"Who cares about what perv thinks! I bet any amount of money he's off somewhere with his camera peeping on girls!" She said.

"This is only gonna create something so much more subservient and decadent. I'm not gonna be around for you guys to screw up so badly.

*Meanwhile on a dorm roof*

Gin had a camera with a barrel scope, looking down upon Yokai academy. He was peeping on girls until he saw the other newspaper club and the Disciplinary Committee.

"Oh no. If those guys are here, then there's bound to be trouble." He said as the scene shifted back to us.

"Damion, what do you mean you aren't gonna help us?" Yukari asked.

"As in, I'm not going to help you belittle yourselves for this club. This is below you and is damn sure below me. If you ever start thinking about the ups and downs of doing this, then I'll be on the roof asleep." I say leaving the printing room.

"Fine. We don't need him either. We can do this ourselves. Come on, Yukari." Kurumu said aggressively.

They then started wearing skimpy outfits to sell newspapers, but the other newspaper club was prepared. They dressed in bikinis and got the attention of more of the perverted boys of the school. Except for that of one pedophile like boy who wanted to take Yukari, instead of a newspaper. Kurumu tried to stop Yukari from running away, but to no avail. She then kicked the pedophile in the face and went after Yukari. When she got back to the club room, she found Yukari in the corner , crying her eyes out, and Tsukune, Moka and I standing next to Gin.

"What's going on?" She asked, looking at us.

"Look, this situation has gotten way out of hand. We went to Gin and got his opinion on this matter, and we agree: we'll just have to lose this fight for right now." I explain to her.

"But-" Kurumu tried to argue.

"This isn't up for discussion. In fact: it's nonnegotiable. You and Damion take all of the copies that we have left and throw them into the incinerator. That's my official club decision." Gin said, walking away.

Kurumu was heartbroken by the fact Gin would have us do such a thing. Kurumu and I went to the incinerator to toss the newspapers that we printed into it. I looked at Kurumu who was very hesitant about throwing out newspapers into the incinerator. I felt somewhat bad about this.

"Kurumu, listen, I know that you don't want to do this, and neither do I, but it's what Gin told us to do, so we'll just have to suck it up, throw these away and move on." I said, tossing one of my newspapers into the incinerator.

"Damion it's not that...I don't want to throw these newspapers away, because they mean a lot to me...It's something that you and I worked onto together...It's a part of me..." She said, crying.

I looked at her and sighed. I gave her a hug and let her cry into my shoulder. "Damn it, Gin. Look what you've done...You've gone and made a girl cry..." I say, hugging her tightly.

Soon the Super Newspaper Club came by us. "So, this is where you two have been hiding." The one on the left said.

Kurumu and I let each other go and looked toward them in anger. "You three certainly have a lot of nerve. What the hell do you three want anyway?" I ask, clenching my fists tightly.

After a bunch of ignorant boasting and throwing one of our papers into the incinerator. This triggered a small amount of anger in me.

"You know that's going to cost you everything." I say, releasing some of my power.

The Super Newspaper Club transform and they were flies and a spider. They disgusted me. "Kurumu, take the flies. I got the spider bitch." I say, instantly getting trapped in webs.

Kurumu was on her own to fight against three insect monsters. As she kept striking at them and missing, she was then caught in the web of the spider.

"Damn it...I won't allow myself to be beaten, by you frugal INSECTS!" I shout, releasing more power, breaking free from my web containment.

This freightened them. I rushed the one on the left and punched her straight in her gut, sending her off campus and to the bus stop. I kicked the one on the right through the school building. Looked at Kurumu and the webs around her were shredded to pieces. The spider was the only one left. She caught my arm with her web and tried to pull me in, but I didn't budge. She was taken aback. I took it upon myself to grab the thread and start winding it around my wrist. She desperately tried to stop herself, but it was all for naught. She tried negotiating with me, but I wasn't having any of it.

"This will be your only warning. The next time I see you, I'm going to rip off all of your legs, turn you inside out, and burn you to ashes." I said, looking into her eyes, piercing down to her very soul. She nodded.

I uppercut her into the air and pulled her back down into another punch. (If anyone has seen Super Mario Bros Z, you'll know what I'm doing.) I did this about 20 times and then I started to spin her around and around. the rotations got faster and faster, until she was only blur to Kurumu's eyes. The web finally snapped and then she flew into the dead forest and went through five trees before one finally stopped her. I quelled my power and looked to Kurumu, who was sitting on the ground. I helped her up.

"You okay, Kurumu?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm fine." She replied, still broken up about Gin's order to burn our newspapers.

"Kurumu, listen. I know this is something you don't want to do, and quite frankly, neither do I. So that's why I'm going to tell you that we should handout our newspapers anyway. At this point, it doesn't matter what the hell Gin says. Handing out papers is what the Newspaper Club is about and it's what we do. It's what we do together." I say sincerely.

Kurumu hugs me tightly and she grabs her bundle of newspapers. I grabbed mine and we started handing papers out to the students on campus and in school.

*In a dark room*

"Kato and company were defeated. It may not have been quick, but I guess the monster that defeated her and her cohorts wanted it to be that way." One person said, from the shadows of the room. This person put my file down on the table and started to chuckle, which turned to full blown laughter
