Love & Blood

Hello audience, KaiAN-Chan here. This is my first Soul Calibur fanfic (3rd fanfic.), so NO FLAMES if you think it's bad, but I do want reviews from you (PLEASE REVIEW). This is a Taki/Mitsurugi fanfic. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Soul Calibur, NAMCO does. I wish I did, so Taki and Mitsurugi can finally be a couple.

When Taki comes back to Japan from her journey…

"He's close…" says Taki while Mekki-Maru, one of her kunai, start to glow. 'I shall take Soul Edge from him.'

A man spots her.

"A...are...you their ally as well?"

Taki guards the man's attack with her kunai, and knocks the man on the ground unconscious. Then she spots Mitsurugi at a bridge.

"A warrior of you caliber, should have no need for evil power."

"Humph, you again." says Mitsurugi, 'Damn her for interfering.'

"It's time to hand over that evil shard you possess." ordered Taki.

Mitsurugi tries to strike her, but Taki guards his attack.

"If you want it that badly, come and take it by force."

They guard each other's attack again.

"You just don't…give up…do you! Soul Edge…your scars run deep, even in death."

Taki starts to jump up and tries to attack Mitsurugi, but Mitsurugi guards her attack.

"I see that you haven't changed a bit, still hunting me down every time I draw close to Soul Edge." says Mitsurugi.

"It's for your own good, besides I'm going to destroy it as soon as you hand it over."

"Hand it over? Hah! I'll use it to destroy every opponent stronger than me."

"Don't underestimate Soul Edge; if you overuse its power…you might die."

"Die? What do you care anyway?"

Taki pauses. Mitsurugi attacks Taki and stabs her in her stomach, since she wasn't paying attention.

"I'll kill you anyway, so I can finally have Soul Edge to myself without you interfering."

Taki coughs up blood.

'Damn! I can't die here; I have to destroy Soul Edge' she coughs up blood again.

Taki tries to stab Mitsurugi, but he guards her attack.

"Are you really trying to get yourself killed by me?" asked Mitsurugi.

"Why the hell would I?" replied Taki.

Taki takes off her mask, gives him the kiss of death, and then use her smoke bomb to escape.

"Damn you" says Mitsurugi 'why the hell did she do that, it felt kind of good though.'

One day later, Mitsurugi tries to search for Taki, but it seems that an injured Taki was already in front of him.

"What are you doing here, and why did you kiss me?" asks Mitsurugi.

"I'm here to take Soul Edge and to get my revenge, for you stabbed me in the stomach. Also I kissed you because..."

Unable to finish her sentence, Mitsurugi grabbed Taki and kissed her. Taki was shocked and pull back.

"I…gave you the kiss of death" says Taki, "what did you do that for?"

Mitsurugi ignores her question, but responds with "Now DIE!"

Mitsurugi tries to strike Taki, but she guards. Taki cuts him on the cheek (by moving Rekki-Maru upward, but not on purpose), then she grabs Mitsurugi and locks lips with him once again, but this kiss was longer.

'Wow that felt pretty good.' thought Mitsurugi, "Why are you doing this?"

"Because I…I'm...falling in love with…y..."

Taki starts to fall on the snowy ground from her injury but, Mitsurugi catches her in his arms.

"I love you too."

Mitsurugi carries Taki to his shrine and tries to tend her wounds.

"Please…be okay." says a worried Mitsurugi.

"I'm okay. You worried?"

Mitsurugi and Taki share another long kiss, not thinking about any of their troubles or Soul Edge. Taki soon destroys Soul Edge, and they finally live together.

A/N: So what'd you think of that? Oh, sorry if the characters weren't themselves; it's kind of hard to make a Taki/Mitsurugi fanfic. Please review, so I'll know how to write this pairing better in the future.
