Everyone is waiting for Sabre and Doctor Whooves to return. While everyone waits, Twilight transfers everyone's energy back over to them, including the magic Derpy had retained after being uncorrupted. It's been a few minutes since they went back in time, then... Vworp!
"They're coming back," Derpy pointed out. She knows that sound too well. Vworp! Vworp! Vworp! Vworp! The TARDIS appears where Sabre and Doctor Whooves went back in time through that portal. Derpy runs over and opens the doors of the TARDIS. When she opens the doors, and sees Sabre as well as the Doctor are both okay. They step outside of the blue phone box.
"Is evwething okay?" Derpy asked.
"Yes Derpy, everything is good now. Yeah," Sabre replied. Derpy nodded. then looks to her Doctor Whooves, who she holds so dear to her. She hasn't seen him since encountering Madness Steve. Both are looking at each other, relieved both are okay after what they've witnessed. Derpy launches her body over towards Doctor Whooves and hugs him firmly, both grey forehooves around him. Doctor Whooves has this smug smile appearing on his face. Both are elated, they are able to enjoy each other's presence without anything bothering them, tears running down both of their cheeks.
"After evwething that went down... it's so good to hug you Doctor!"
"It's good to see y... you t... too Derpy... b- But I c- Can't... breathe..." Derpy then slowly lets go and steps back, giving Doctor Whooves a bit of space. Out of the hugs Derpy gave him, that was one of the tightest hugs.
"I... I didn't h... h- Didn't hurt you, did I!?" Derpy gasped.
"Oh ah ha, don't be silly, I'm okay," Doctor Whooves lightly chuckled, Derpy chuckling with him.
"So Origin, now this issue has been resolved, what will you be doing- And you two, First Curse?" Sabre asked.
"You kept to your end of the deal, so I shall keep to my end of the deal as well," The First Curse replied.
"Hmph hmm... for now..." The First Curse thought to himself.
"Us two will be going our separate ways as for now, call me if you need," Origin Steve said as he summons lightning and teleports away, the First Curse doing the same as well shortly afterwards.
"Right, uh... Dark, everyone, come with me. There's something we still need to do," Said Sabre.
"It's been a long time coming, and it was kinda interrupted by everything that went down. Everyone, gather around me." Everyone gathers around Sabre as he uses the Shadow Sword to teleport everyone.
Sabre, Dark Steve, Time Steve, Light Steve, Elemental Steve, Therapist Green Steve, the mane 6, the CMC, Discord, Starlight, Spike, Derpy and Dinky are by a massive lake of clear water, only a few blocks deep. Ahead on the other side of the like are 2 stony mountains, the one on the right being noticeably taller and larger. The entire area everywhere else are some oak and birch trees. The piece of land everyone is standing on is a nice flat space of grass.
"Oh, this place," Said Dark Steve, recognizing the place.
"Yeah, hang on, I've got something to do first," Sabre responded.
"Why have we come here Sabre?" Spike asked before Sabre carried on.
"You know Shadow- Oh... I almost forgot you weren't here most of the time- Basically, this is where he betrayed us, and this is where I want to do something. I'm gonna destroy the Shadow Sword. I feel like this place is where the sword deserves to be destroyed," Sabre replied. He then looks over at everypony.
"This sword originates from the darkness. This sword has the abilities of the darkness, which is why it has to be destroyed. I hope you all aren't mad at me for using the darkness, which I've hidden from you all this entire time."
"You prob would av hurt us by now if ye wanted ta. We trust ya Sabre, yer a friend," Applejack responded.
"Have you heard of Stygian?" Rarity asked.
"A little bit Rarity, I think... but I can't quite put my tongue on it though," Sabre replied.
"The difference between you and him was that you used the darkness for the betterment of everypony, and every steve," Rarity explained.
"My friends are very understanding. Like I said before, I'm not mad you used the darkness Sabre, neither are my friends. If you hadn't used the Shadow Sword, we'd all probably not be here right now," Said Twilight.
"Yeah, you're right Twilight, I'm so used to having to hide the fact that I'm using the sword. When Shadow had control, he destroyed so many with it, but I saved so many with the sword-"
"Don't compare yourself to your shadow, you're not him Sabre," Fluttershy firmly interrupted.
"Thanks Fluttershy," Sabre responded. He then uses the Shadow Sword and makes Shadow Sabre visible to everyone else, but not physically present.
"Don't worry, he's not here, he's just a projection," Sabre pointed out.
"May I remind you that if you destroy the sword, I'll be destroyed with it, and I'll get what I always wanted... being one with nothing..."
"At this point Shadow, I don't really care man. Yeah, once I destroy the sword, you'll go with it, but I don't care Shadow, I don't care now," Sabre sighed, looking away from Shadow Sabre as he signed, then looks back as he began speaking again.
"I know you don't Sabre. But, destroying the sword, Dark will go with it as well. I know you'll care about that." Sabre steps back, away from his shadow. He looks at Dark Steve, then looks at the Shadow Sword.
"If we destroy the sword, Dark will go too? No..."
"Sabre, think of it this way. When the darkness rebalances, I'll be able to watch over you, all of you. I understand, the sword has to be destroyed," Dark Steve lightly said, putting his right hand on Sabre's left shoulder.
"Are you sure you're okay to go through with this, Dark, even if it means you may be destroyed?" Sabre double checked, ready to put the Shadow Sword down on the ground to destroy it, but also ready to pick it back up. Dark Steve knew what this meant, but nodded regardless.
"If you're sure Dark... then uh- Oh, okay..." Sabre stutters as he places the Shadow Sword down. Instantly, it vanishes, white particles and sparks coming out as it gets destroyed. Sabre was expecting lightning to be summoning, and so was everyone. But then again, it had not only extra darkness, it also had the essence being fused with it and taken out again. That could be it, but no one was sure. Sabre looks where Shadow Sabre was standing, and he is no longer there. Sabre then looks in his inventory, and the Dark Crystal is no longer there as well. However, Dark Steve is still here.
"Looks like you weren't destroyed. I'm happy you're okay, Dark," Said Sabre, looking at Dark Steve.
"Yeah, even if I was Sabre, I'm still grateful I got to experience this world once again," Dark Steve responded.
"I couldn't let Dark Steve just disappear. I had to do something about it. Had I not destroyed the sword myself and Dark Steve disappeared... it would be a bit like the girls me turning back to stone after I reformed," Discord responded, looking down as he briefly thought about his past, but quickly looks back up.
"That's good Discord, thank you for saving Dark," Said Sabre.
"Also, that Shadow version of you no longer exists... not directly, at least, if you get what I mean Sabre," Discord stated.
"Wow, I thought he'd always exist in me. I guess he always will, in a way... in my memories, if that's what Discord meant. But he himself, is gone, I can't believe it," Sabre thought to himself. From when Sabre first met his shadow which now seem a long time ago, to the present, Shadow Sabre was always watching over him, waiting to capitalize on what Sabre does. Now, he no longer directly exists.
"So, that means the last thing we've got to do... Derpy, do you still want to get rid of those abilities you still have from being corrupted?" Sabre asked, looking at the grey pegasus.
"Yeah... it feels wrong to keep this magic," Derpy replied.
"Is it okay, if it's just me, you, and Time Steve that come? I... want to get wid of the magic where I feel it be appwopwiate," Derpy requested.
"Yeah, sure thing Derpy. *Looks at Time Steve* Alright, Time, let's gather around Derpy," Said Sabre. Derpy lightly taps her left forehoof down on the ground, teleporting herself, Sabre and Time Steve.
The 3 are in the centre of the Rainbow Hub. The portals, which was connected to different realities due to the essence, are now connected to all the old steve kingdoms again, with all the essence now gone.
"The Rainbow Hub? Why have you chosen this place Derpy?" Sabre asked.
"It's where you two saved me... it was where I was uncorwupted. I still can't make it up to you two... even with all the muffins in the world. I owe you two a lot," Derpy lightly replied.
"It's alright, plus, you don't owe us anything. We're friends, Derpy, we help each other, no matter what," Sabre responded.
"Thanks, Sabre," Derpy lightly smiled, a single tear of emotions running down. But the pegasus blinks and stops more tears forming.
"Whenever you're ready Derpy, go ahead," Said Time Steve. Derpy closes her eyes briefly, breathing in and out deeply. She then slightly hovers up, flapping her wings. She extends her hooves outward as far as she could. Lightning began striking on either side of Derpy, then it stops and she slowly lands back down on the ground. She then stretches her hooves one at a time.
"So uh... how do you feel?" Sabre asked Derpy.
"I feel... lighter, without that magic. I hurt more with it than those I helped. Getting wid of that magic was the mowal thing to do," Derpy replied.
"I agree, and not many would've let go of that amount of power so willingly. You should be proud of that Derpy," Sabre responded.
"The question now is... what's next?" Derpy wondered while shuddering. Madness Steve was quite something. Would the next problem be even worse than that?
"I don't know, but for know, I'd say let's just enjoy life. Finally," Sabre replied, sighing afterwards.
"Time, do you mind teleporting us back as well... Derpy and I don't have any powers now," Sabre requested. Time Steve walks near to Sabre and Derpy, and summons lightning, teleporting.
Time Steve teleports himself, Sabre and Derpy back to where Dark Steve, Elemental Steve, Light Steve, Therapist Green Steve, the mane 6, the CMC, Starlight, Spike and Discord are.
"Hey you three, all good?" Therapist Green Steve asked.
"Yeah Green, we're good," Sabre replied.
"It feels weird without that magic... but, I feel lighter, and better," Said Derpy.
"You sound it too, and I'm happy you're okay now Derpy," Twilight smiled, and extended her left forehoof out to Derpy, pulling her in for a hug. The grey pegasus didn't resist, and let's herself get pulled in by that purple hoof.
"It means so much... but I don't think I did that much to be honest," Derpy sighed, trying to get out of the hug, which Twilight notices and let's go.
"What do you mean you didn't do much, darling!? You helped so much!" Rarity exclaimed.
"You've helped a lot more than you think Derpy," Said Light Steve.
"You've saved us down at the core, you saved me, helped reform Madness and helped me as well as everyone with connecting the times of the loop together, which we probably wouldn't of been able to do without you- Don't doubt yourself Derpy, you did good out there," Said Sabre.
"Maybe... I don't know..."
"You sounded alright, but now... what's happening now?" Sabre asked Derpy.
"I... I'm fine..."
"A lot just happened, you went through a lot, it's probably stress," Time Steve responded to Derpy.
"Yeah... I... I'm pwobably stwessed," Derpy quietly spoke.
"I'm here for you mummy!" Dinky quickly trots over to her mother and hugs.
"I'm also here for you Derpy," Doctor Whooves reassured.
"You've also got Sabre and us steves if you need to speak about anything," Said Therapist Green Steve.
"Thank you... all of you, thank you," Derpy kept repeating. Doctor Whooves stays near the gray pegasus, helping her be more at ease.
"So... what now?" Apple Bloom wondered.
"Yeah, it's been a heck of an adventure," Scootaloo responded.
"We're proud at yeh three, as well as yeh too Dinky, that's all I can say. You four are tough cookies," Applejack responded. Everyone else nodded in agreement.
"So that's it huh, everything's good again, nothing to worry about. Finally, true peace at last," Sabre said with a relax tone before he sighed. Everyone cheers, Discord snapping his eagle claws and a few fireworks went off, along with some raining chocolate and hailing popcorn, along with some cups to collect the chocolate rain.
"Now is it time to celebrate?" Pinkie Pie asked out loud.
"I guess so," Light Steve replied.
Summary:
After the mini celebration, everypony went back to Equestria, to their respective homes. Sabre and Dark Steve went back to the Steve Village. Therapist Green Steve went back to his home out in the forest that's close by the Steve Village. Meanwhile, Light Steve and Time Steve went to the Yellow Kingdom, to let the Yellow Leader know of the good news. With Yellow Steves being about efficiency and energy, they manage to spread the news across all of the kingdoms, except the Red Kingdom.
Time Steve went to the Red Kingdom to the Red Kingdom to find M. He asked M if he was ready to show the Red Steves to the world. M gave the go ahead, and also said the towers are no longer being used to hide the kingdom and keeping everyone out. With that, Time Steve went back to the Yellow Kingdom and let the Yellow Leader know that the Red Steves are ready to come back into society after generations of isolationism.
The next day, Twilight heard the news about the Red Steves revealing themselves. Before Celestia and Luna left to go back to the retirement they were called away from, they talked to Twilight. They were still worried that they put the responsibility of a ruler on her too early, and couldn't help but to double check. Twilight said she was fine, and asked if they could share with M some of their experience when they were rulers, just to help guide the new Red Leader. M was soon invited to Canterlot Castle for a meal by Celestia and Luna. M accepted, and turned up to Canterlot, with the help of Time Steve of course. Whilst M, Time Steve, Twilight, Celestia and Luna ate a meal together, they gave advice to M, who really appreciated their sentiment and thought about him. After the meal and when M as well as Time Steve left, Celestia and Luna spent as much time as they could with Twilight, saying how proud they were of how far she had come over the years. After sunset, the 2 former Equestrian rulers and Twilight hugged. Twilight reluctantly let them go from the hug once they had to leave, tears of sadness that they had to go, but they were also tears of happiness that she got to speak to her mentors again. Meanwhile, M, taking the advice from the alicorns as well as the former Red Leader, began implementing their suggestions.
The Steve Village, the one Sabre lived in are also back and caught news of the Red Steves as well. They also learnt about Sabre being able to release the Unnamed, and the Yellow and Violet Village Leader had so many questions, as some steves tried before, but were destroyed as they weren't 'worthy'. Sabre explained, from start to finish, everything to the whole village of what went down. Sabre reassured all the steves of the village that the Unnamed was okay, and was now free. Soon, Elemental Steve arrived, lightning striking where he teleported. He came with lots of bread, apples, fish, and most definitely, pumpkin pies. He had them in shulker boxes, which he placed down on the ground. He asked the village leaders to take this as an apology for what he did. Elemental Steve said he knew he couldn't undo what he done to the Green Village Leader, but also said he had changed and was trying to become a better person. He explained that he asked Twilight for a place in the School of Friendship which he was recently accepted into. Time Steve suggested the School of Friendship to Elemental Steve to help him. The Violet Village Leader said it was good on him that he had moved on, and that he as well as the Yellow Village Leader accepted his apology, and that while they won't ever forget, they were willing to give Elemental Steve a second chance.
Note:
This is the end of the actual story. But, 2 more chapters will be worked on, explaining how everyone's lives changed for the steves and ponies. Do I have an idea for a sequel? Yes, but I'd want to work on another story before I come back to the timeline for this story.
