(normal)
I hate being normal. Someone has to be, even here, but I hate it anyway. I'm not pure enough to be with the Slytherins, not sullied enough to be with the Gryffindors, not high enough to be with the Ravenclaws. I hate being the standard that people rise above. Why can't I have a shot at glory? Because I'm the wand. To climb, to fly, people need a ground, a base to rise from. The base, the ground, sinks in the distance as Heroes go off to their glory. The base, the ground, is left nothing but bones and blood and forgotten and left behind.
I am normal so other's don't have to be.
I am the ruler with which they measure the yardstick.
