Haruka and I walk around the buffet filling our plates full of food. Of course her first plate is full of all the different salads, that's her favourite food, shes the only one in the family that didn't complain about having to eat their vegetables.
When Thorn and I finish our first round on the buffet and get back to the table where everyone is still working on their near empty plates I take a few bites while dialing the number I need on my cell I finally get a hold of the person I am looking for and excuse myself.
"What is Haruka up to I wonder?"
Rio shakes her head. "Who knows Thorn shes always busy with something or someone you know that don't worry about her relax and eat." Suddenly we all hear a loud gong go off there just a few feet from our table was a gentlemen all dressed in a bright tux with a wheel beside him
"ATTENTION here at the fabulous buffet palace we do this royal lottery three times a day to give you a chance at some amazing prizes! My assistant at this very moment is setting down the golden tickets at the tables who wish to participate, if your ticket has the number 626 then you get a chance at a wonderful prize!"
We take our ticket, "wow to bad Haruka is missing the fun I open it and oh my god our table is 626!" Rio jumps for joy before walking to the wheel where the gentlemen is waiting.
"Welcome please spin the wheel for your prize!"
I take a deep breath there's all sorts of neat options for prizes, I spin the wheel as hard as I can.
"You won a winter family fun pass to the Icy Santa Carnival it includes all rides events and all food for the day you choose to go here's the card with the rest of the details!"
I walk away with my prize as everyone applauds and sit down at the table. "This isn't a bad prize wait till we show Haruka" as I pass the card to Thorn to read it, "did Mei even notice anything?" As I watch her text on her phone.
"Its not a big deal Rio shes in love they been together now nearly a year and I met him I think that I will go get more food" after reading the prize card I see Haruka is coming back inside as I go with Hailey Jade and Rio up to get more food.
"I have not been texting my boyfriend that much you know" I notice Thorn is distracted in thought "sigh why do I talk" Haruka takes a seat lifting her fork to eatsmiles and says so "what about your boyfriend".I smirk at her and sit closer ive been dying to tell you as I pull out my cell to show her pictures and tell her all about him.
"You ok Thorn?"
"Yes just thinking about a few things Mei" my mind brings back a sudden river of memories to me at times like this when we are all together like PTSD the scene appearsIts hard to believe I was 16 walking on a busy street in New York on my way to the smoke pit to dull my problems I wasn't a perfect teen to say the least
I pass by a narrow half dark alley way only I hear loud noises that catch my attention they are not far from me I knew it wasnt a stray cat or any other animal why no one else stopped I still don't know I made my way down the narrow garbage covered path and saw an awful scene there was a guy with silver grey hair beating a kid that was half naked and out cold
I froze when he saw me he would of went for me too if it wasn't for the sudden police sirens he ran off I got an officers attention and they called 911 I sat by her still in shock that and something told me not to leave her side normally I barely talked to anyone yet there I was in the middle of a crime scene filthy.
That's how Haruka and I met she was eleven I found out from her father later at the hospital. She was walking home from school when she was grabbed she didn't remember much of it or how they got to that alley she was raped bad and her injuries went from a broken arm a concussion and many more I remember overhearing part of the long list while being checked myself only my injuries were not from helping her. I kept visiting her in the hospital something just drew me to her maybe it was because I knew her pain we grew closer and I have protected her since.
I finish my food and smile as Thorn gives me a kiss telling me she will get my plate with hers when I stop to think of Thorn shes been like a big sister to me people would tease her for looking after me so much but my dad as hard as he tried had to work to keep things going so she was there for me we talked about everything and anything
But at the time what I didn't know was that Thorns mom was forcing her to have sex with men and women and getting money from it she used to smoke heavy and cut to help with the pain we found out two years later my father took Thorn in as his own long story short the mother would never get Thorn back
Her and I attended the same counselling centre just different groups, it was not an easy journey for either of us but it was well worth it and there is still more to go but that's ok I refocus my thoughts and thank thorn for the food.
"I cant eat another bite" sipping my tea "this meal will keep me full all day phew"
"Well Rio you ate five plates full of food I am Not surprised, even Haruka Jade and I only had three, Ava Mei and Hailey had two, you ate more then any of us"
"Well I saved my hunger for this you never want to waste a good buffet like this place its the best but before we go anywhere Haruka I almost forgot to tell you I won this great prize here take a look while you were out they did the lottery" I watch her read through the information.
"Its a great prize Rio there's tons to do there I pull out my cell phone showing her the map on GPS its only about an hour from here we can take the scenic route there I know the area well it has some great views"
"Awesome I like a good scenic drive I will have Ava take all the pictures"
"Of course I will Rio since most pictures your take end up including a thumb or a big blur I don't know how you do it with that good camera on your phone but you do come on I call passenger Mei wont mind siting in the back she likes to stretch out anyway"
"You may want to change your plans and put Mei in the front Rio"
"Why Hailey"? She then whispers to me while they were in the bathroom she was pretty sure it was Mei who was sick because she was in the stall next to her. Then Hailey walks over to Haruka and they head out the front the door I see Mei come out with her jacket on she looks ok to me. "Hey you alright?"
"Ya Rio I am fine was just fixing my make up I didn't think I took that long."
"Are you ok with sitting in the backseat? I mean if not its fine."
"Sure I like putting my feet up I am fine lets hit the road, Haruka is probably waiting for all of us and I cant wait to see this place come on."
"Maybe Hailey was wrong Rio lets go Mei is right;" as we rush to catch up with everyone outside waiting for us.
"Ok Ava I hope Mei is really alright" once outside Thorn and Jade are already in their van behind Haruka's sports car waiting on Ava Mei and I we quickly hop in the car and I start it up and get behind Thorn and honk to let them know were ready to go as we all leave
Switching lanes and getting off the highway I wonder what took those guys so long I feel Hailey hand on mine rubbing it gently "well we are not far from that scenic route now hope Ava has her camera ready"
"I have photos from here myself so I will just sit and enjoy the sights with you." As I start rubbing her arm and kiss her neck with small nibbles Haruka moans and says she will get me later for this, I smile I look forward to it I cant help but look out the windowthe sunshine is making the frozen lake shine and glow there's Ice sparkling on the trees around the lake its a scene that looks right out of a movie we slowdown to enjoy it Haruka takes my hand in hers as we drive in to a small town where houses are all decorated with Holiday cheer you can see people carolling near an Ice skating rink and local shops line the down town area its beautiful.
I turn on to the next road I kiss Hailey hand this is my favourite route to drive its quiet most times but with holidays it makes sense there's more traffic soon we will be back on the highway towards the Icy Santa in no time it don't take long to get there.
I follow Haruka's sports car in to the huge parking lot that was a great drive never seen such a beautiful route. Did you get good pictures Ava? She nods and puts her camera away Mei has been so quiet.
I turn to look at the back seat "ya because shes fast asleep I don't know if she even saw anything Rio should I wake her?"
"I don't know give her a nudge and see how she is"
"Ok Rio I take off my seat belt and nudge her Hey Mei you ok?"
"Mmm? Were here great I stretch out what are you staring at Ava?"
"Nothing Mei I guess we better get going, the others are already waiting near the carnivals entrance I think I can see that huge roller coaster from here wow"
"There you three are you didn't have car trouble did you Rio?"
"No actually our drive was great" but before I can tell Haruka anything else she and Thorn are busy at the front talking with the lady about our pass how many of us there are etc I turn to look at Mei she really does look ok its just not like her to fall asleep on car rides its not her thing.
All of our hands are stamped with the the Santa clause and we are each given a beautiful carnival tree ornament and a mystery gift plus we each are given a carnival map its huge Haruka was not kidding I feel her hold my hand and give me a kiss while we all wait for Thorn she goes to her van to set the stuff inside
When we all get inside the gate we are also given scarves and pose in front of a carnival background for a family photo I hold Hailey close to me and stand by Thorn and Jade for once I am not the tallest one Ava Rio and Mei are all in front we all shout "HAPPY HOLIDAYS!" The lady says it will just take five minutes for the picture to print out.
Thornopens the big carnival map. "so guys where too?" It don't take Rio long to point to the new huge roller coaster the Naughty List with the longest line up in the park.
"Well if Thorn and Rio are in so am I what do you think Hailey?"
"I go where you go Haruka" I so enjoy leaning in to her arms with this cold breeze out today she keeps me warm. The rest agree and we begin our walk to the Naughty List...
"We been all over the Christmas Village sledding down the hills was funand I am getting chilly I wonder where Haruka is we haven't seen her or any of the others here Ami at all sigh"
"Well she is rather busy Usagi we were both there when her family arrived and I am sure they have plans and activities they plan on doing other then here at the Village near the Christmas market why don't we go to the Food court and warm up with a hot chocolate"
" Ya but she told me she was going here with her family today when I called to invite her maybe we are just early Ami hey look at that cool Santa statue holding the huge bag of toys its so cute! Here before we go warm up" I hand my phone to Ami "take my picture!"
"Sure thing Usagi ok back up a little" Ami adjusts the camera and takes the picture just in time for something terrible to happen

HURRY USAGI AND MOVE! Ami grabs the shocked blonde and pulls her back as they watch in shock the horrible creature grow.
The beard on the statue turns pure black and the eyes turn blood red and Santa suit rips turning grey with a spiked belt. claws come out of the gloves and he starts growing even bigger and the sack no longer has toys in it...
I put my arm around Hailey and the others are all in front of us on the roller coaster each one looks like a sled your sitting in painted in bright colours this ride is great were heading for the best part with all the loops and twists when suddenly the wind changes harshly and its not because of the loop were on.
"Haruka is everything ok?" Why are you squirming and moving so much?
No Hailey its not as I kneel down below and hold tight remember what I said about needing to go with the next twist I nearly fall out whooaa Hailey grabs hold of me I notice my coat ripped when I pulled out I quickly transform and jump out to head to where the next monster is.
I cant enjoy the coaster knowing that Haruka is somewhere fighting a horrible beast but the lump in my stomach grows as we get off and the others don't see Haruka coming off the ride.
"Hailey where is Haruka? Why isn't she with you?"
"Thorn trust me when I tell you shes ok just sort of busy at the moment" the others give me a confused look like I am crazy and I don't blame them.
"That don't make any sense she went on the ride with us she should be coming off the ride with us Hailey what happened tell me"
"You know Id tell you if I could really I could feel my anxiety going up and tears coming to my eyes" its bad enough that I am scared for Haruka and can do nothing.
"Hailey Haruka was sitting right next to you" so your not telling us everything I take out my cell phone I try to call her but theres no answer and tracking is not working.
"I gave her my life's word Thorn that id never tell anyone as my tears fall seeing the fear and anger on Thorn face please you need to trust me!"
"Hey Thorn take it easy you know Hailey really cares for Haruka too like all of us she wouldn't lie"
"I didn't mean to upset you Hailey Rio is right you wouldn't lie let me check my phone one more time we can find her that way why the hell is she at the Christmas Village?! Now that we know were out of here Hailey you can ride with Jade and I lets go!"
"But Thorn we should not follow her trust me we need to stay here as much as I agree with you"
"Its a Christmas village Hailey what will they do feed us to many Christmas cookies? and if there is something wrong we cant just leave her we are going now!"
"Come on Hailey everything will be fine its a good thing this pass lasts a week" as we rush out of the carnival
"Im not so sure Rio" I can still remember the monster that attacked it was horrible and I know that she left because there is another one as Jade is leading me to Thorns car I feel terrified.
"Don't shake Hailey we will find her in no time at all"
"Ya right Jade" I am now sitting beside Thorn up front with Jade in the back before I can try to think of another excuse Thorn already took off driving at high speed I look in the mirror seeing Rios car following the knot in my stomach feels horrible as memories pop in to my mind of that rotten tree...
This monster is fast it dodges most of our attacks and pulls many rotten tricks out of that bag that make huge dangerous explosions too high voltage zaps of electricity I grab Odango out of the way of an exploding chimney but I don't get to Mercury in time as a loud huge whip knocks her flying shit WORLD SHAKING!
DEEP SUBMERGE!
Sailor Neptune lands beside me. "hes very strong watch out he pulls out a lot of shit from that bag!"
We jump and dodge more attacks when suddenly the monster uses a new attack sending out a string of black lights which catches sailor Neptune and misses me by an inch.
"AHHHHH!"
I watch as black electricity is violently shocking her "NEPTUNE!"
I keep moving catching a view of Mercury who is trying to get up I barely am able to avoid more black lights and exploding chimneys shooting out of the bag I jump on one chimney using it as a boost WORLD SHAKING! causing the lights to loose their grip on Neptune I jump and catch her in my arms and quickly jump away before another Chimney bomb lands...
As we approach the Christmas Village I can see a view of something huge and Ugly with black smoke all around "wha... WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!"
"Thorn trust me when I tell you its a monster!" and you need to stay away!
"I WILL NOT IF HARUKA IS THERE IM GOING I PUT THE PEDAL TO THE MEDAL!"
"Whoaaa!" Things are a blur outside as we are speeding to the monster "oh god Jade its true please try to stop her its a horrible monster!"
"I believe you but that wont stop Thorn from getting to Haruka"
"I can barely breathe at the sight we are speeding towards too it looks awful and the black smoke is getting thicker and I can hear sirens too its as if its a race of who will get there first and in the mirror Rios car is right behind us I beg you to listen Thorn DON'T DO IT!"...
I roll on the ground where Neptune lays unconscious and not breathing meanwhile I can hear Mercury attack putting everything in a very thick fog wake up damn it Neptune no time to waste I start CPR and listen come on damn it breathe then suddenly shes breathing and looking right at me
"I thought you hated me"...
Before I can answer a black string of wires grabs us both!

I GET OUT OF MY CAR I KNOW THAT VOICE ANYWHERE AND LOOK UP AT A HORRIBLE MONSTER IT HAS TWO PEOPLE THEN I SEE THE FACE ITS HER I KNOW IT "HARUKA IM COMING" !
"THORN GET OUT OF HERE ! AHHHHHHHHH!"
NO! I run up and slice the wires with my griptilian knife the wires give me a slight shock but let go of Haruka and the other girl
OOF! THORN WATCH OUT! I GRAB HER AS NEPTUNE AND I JUMP BACK THORN YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE NOW!
My eyes go wide as I watch a power coming from Haruka and the ground shakes knocking me to my knees I can tell its about to attack back harshly I don't know who the others are but Its aiming at Haruka and no way is that happening.
"HEY! MONSTER DO YOU THINK YOU CAN AIM OVER HERE! YOU UGLY SACK OF SHIT!"
I watch as the monster turns in anger as it turns and aims for Thorn and begins to aim a more shocking attack. "WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE DOING?!" Then I see her move just in time and the lights hit the volt box sending a raging shock right to the monster "HOLY SHIT!" I grab Thorn fast enough just in time before the real big explosion happens. Are you nuts!
I grab Neptune and thorn moving away just in time

Suddenly the ground shook with the horrible cries of the monster and I could feel the heat as the explosion let out a second blast bigger then the first and a HUGE POWWWWWWWWWWWWWW knocking me a few feet away before I could react my body hit the ground hard knocking the air out of me

I watch as a woman tall with black hair that looks older then her along with more? Are all running to her how many girls does Haruka Have? But she saved me
"Haruka holding her in my arms close to me stay with us" I see her slowly open her eyes and wince at me then cough, "there is an ambulance coming don't worry"
Rubbing the dirt and ash off me "COUGH I am sailor Uranus Thorn its my duty to protect people I didn't mean to scare you" I see Hailey with tears running down her cheeks when she sees my bruises and some of the cuts I have "really I am fine."
"I am so glad your ok Haruka I swear with my life I didn't tell them Haruka I promise she found you with GPS on your phone"
"Hey I believe you don't cry Hailey I take her hand and kiss it but I know she really was scared this is her second experience with these monsters that's a lot on her nerves and yet she kept her word"

I see Michiru leave at least shes ok "Thorn I need your jacket" she hands it to me I de transform just in time a paramedic is jogging over luckily Thorns jacket is long I use it to cover me as best I can and Thorn holds me close to her.

"Thanks everyone" Thorn is still holding me stroking my head and kisses me again I know I truly scared her and I know Hailey could not of stopped Thorn even if she tried so it was my cell I left in my car that gave my location she left and everyone came too just to find and save me I feel her kiss me only this time I return it they all truly care for me so much I see Usagi and Ami coming with a big bag of stuff
"Here! Its the best stuff we could find"

"Not a word you guys" but its to late they are laughing hard and when I think how ridiculous I look I do too pulling Hailey in my arms shes amazing for what shes dealt with today I kiss her deeplyand whisper to her my deep thanks.
"Hey Ami and I are thinking while your all here why not have some fun! Its better then watching Haruka kiss Hailey shes nice and all but Haruka belongs to Michiru
"Well actually we have entrance into the Icy Santa carnival pigtails I mean Usagi why don't you two come join us our treat."
"That carnival is the coolest Ami do you want to go? I see her nod with a smile "I can call my mom and let her know"
"Ok Odango you two can ride with Hailey and I."
"Yay this will be sooooo much fun!"...
