Adrien was at home glaring at his father about last night. He was levitating himself to his father's height while crossing his arms. For the first time, he's never been angry at his father.
"Do I seriously have to dispose of vampire hunters, father? Who knows if my half side will get out of control and I lose my mind or worse, attack you. You told me that you want me to be more human" Adrien glared, almost having the urge to hypnotize his father but he held back.
"You know vampire hunters show no mercy to vampires. Sooner or later they'll get you" He said.
"How ironic. I've just started bonded with Marinette, she makes me feel more human" Adrien said.
"So be it, Adrien" His father replied.
"No more killing?" Adrien guessed.
"You decide but if they capture you, you're on your own. Like I said, they don't show mercy to your mother's kind" His father said, hoping that his son will learn.
Adrien levitated himself down, "You're just playing with me. If it makes you happy, fine. But if I really go out of control, I would become like those real monsters. Where's the victim?"
"I could become one of them if you lost control" His father.
"Father, the victim. Where is he? I'm starving right now" Adrien's fangs extend out that he's losing patience and not in the mood to listen to his father's nonsense.
"Adrien, relax!" His father demanded.
Adrien's eyes went briefly red until he calmed himself down, "See father? This is what I'm afraid of. Aggression. I don't wanna be a monster" Adrien said, clutching his growling stomach that is making him go crazy for blood that he needs.
"Alright come with me" His father brought him to the basement where a vampire hunter was tied up, his weaponry on the floor.
"Thanks" Adrien muttered and walked straight up to the victim and hypnotized him to make him obey, "Don't worry. This will all be over quickly. I command you to not move or scream" He said and his prey obeyed him.
The dhampir sank his fangs in the victim's neck, drinking the blood hungrily, waiting for the tranced victim to slowly die so that no evidence will be exposed to humanity about vampire existence. Adrien felt this victim trying to fight the hypnosis but he sunk his fangs deeper to break the veins to kill him to stop the heart. His father watched as Adrien drains his victim.
Adrien waited until finally, the victim had no pulse. He moved his mouth away from the victim's neck, "This victim was very strong. Anyways, father. This will be my last victim. Please, no more killing. This is what you want, not what I want. Revenge has no place in justice" Adrien said, hoping that his father understands because he doesn't wanna drain victims for the rest of his life.
"So be it" His father replied.
"I'm serious, father. I don't want to be a monster" Adrien levitated himself to float upstairs from the basement and into the lobby and finally upstairs to his bedroom.
"Kid, perhaps it will be the time you need breathing exercises to calm your lust. Lust is like an addiction you know" Plagg came out of his hiding.
"I know what you mean, Plagg. I was doing so well with controlling my vampire side but now my father had to ruin it" Adrien floated to his bed go lie down.
"Maybe a patrolling will clear your head?" Plagg suggested.
"I guess but Ladybug and I never patrolled. Claws out" He transformed into Cat Noir and opened the windows with his telekinesis. He ran up on the rooftops.
He didn't realize how fast he was going until he tripped and was about to fall off the edge when a yo-yo grabbed his ankle and yanked him up in midair, causing him to scream and land right on one of the apartment balcony's chairs.
"Right on time, Cat Noir. Still working on how to land on your feet again?" Ladybug was standing on the balcony rails.
"Good to see you, Ladybug" Cat Noir said with hands behind his head and his leg over his knee, "You saved my nine lives just in time"
"Always the jokester, Count Noir" Ladybug helped him up.
"Wanna become my vampire bride, milady?" He teased her and kissed the back palm of her hand.
"Not yet, I'd look too scary," Ladybug said.
"Awww….I would hate to watch you grow old while I'm cursed with immortality for all eternity" Cat Noir pretends to be sad.
"Aww….you'll live, kitty." Ladybug giggled and they went on patrolling together to keep an eye out for any monsters like last night.
"So, that monster we faced last night, do you know what that's all about?" Cat Noir asked.
"No, but it seems that maybe this person has the bat miraculous to evilize victims into monsters" Ladybug can't tell him what her master told her about.
"A bat holder? Huh, interesting" Cat Noir said.
"I'm sure you know that bats are creatures of the night" Ladybug guessed.
"Or children of the night." Cat Noir said.
"Yes, and for whatever reason. The bat holder is probably a terrorist. Wherever he is, we'll put a stop to him. Since you're half vampire, you would be perfect to beat monsters. I wouldn't stand a chance without you" Ladybug held her kitty's hand or paw.
"You can count on me, milady" Cat Noir assured her.
"Just don't let the public think you're possessed by a demon" Ladybug flicked his cat bell.
"Alright Ladybug" Cat Noir plays a little with her pigtails.
"Too funny for a dhampir. Just don't get too batty than catty" Ladybug giggled and swung her yo-yo while he follows.
"I'm always batty" Cat Noir chuckled.
"Very funny kitty" Ladybug shook her head chuckling.
They searched for any criminal activity but they found one and it's Volpina robbing the bank at this time at night. The heroes jump down from the building, catching her attention.
"Ladybug, I've been expecting you and your partner," Volpina said.
"Oh, you heard of me? Another nocturnal animal with paws. I'm Cat Noir" Cat Noir being sassy at the vixen.
"Of course. And I'm Volpina!" Volpina took out her flute staff.
"Ooh, you play music? I thought foxes like to pounce" Cat Noir taunting Volpina.
"Knock it off, kitty. That's Volpina and she creates illusions with her flute!" Ladybug explained about her enemy.
"See if you can handle this!" Volpina creates illusions of herself.
"Oh great. A magic trick? That's not gonna fool me, fox!" Cat Noir said and because he's half-vampire, he can smell her scent while the illusions don't have a scent. He ran at them and with his staff, he destroyed each illusion one by one.
"What?! You're fast?!" One of them said.
"The speed of the kitty!" Cat Noir chuckled.
"Not for long!" Volpina exclaims and plays on her flute.
But Cat Noir kicked the flute out of her hands, "Music is over, Volpina. Looks like the cat is on top of the food chain today!" He whacked her in the head with his baton.
"Argh!" She fell unconscious to the ground.
"Who could she be?" He was about to pull her mask off.
"Wait! We don't know if she could be one of the classmates at school" Ladybug said.
"Very well" Cat Noir stops from unmasking her.
"Let's just let her go. Besides, she's already defeated by you for the first time. We'll meet her again" Ladybug said as she carried the unconscious Volpina outside and put her near the sidewalk so she can walk by herself when she wakes up.
"Those illusions felt real than just a mirage" Cat Noir was surprised by what she did.
"Not to you of course," Ladybug said.
"That's because her illusions have no scent and I could tell by the real one" Cat Noir explained.
"That's interesting Cat Noir," Ladybug said and they went up to the rooftops to discuss more, "Just wondering if you can tell any difference on anyone's pulse?" Ladybug asked.
"Well, whenever I get a little hungry for blood, I can hear a heartbeat a mile away sometimes. Usually from my dad a lot but he gives me a glass cup of blood. It's funny you know, I always wanted to be human but I can't change to something that I'm not. But with this amazing girl I met at school, she makes me feel more human. I just don't know how to tell her that I'm a dhampir. I'm scared how she'll react" Cat Noir said and sits down next to Ladybug.
"Perhaps do it when she trusts you enough and bring her to a secret place?" Ladybug suggested.
Ladybug knew who he's talking about and that she already knows he's a dhampir. Maybe as a civilian, she'll be brave enough to not get spooked if he told her what he is.
"Thanks for the tip, Ladybug" Cat Noir said.
"Just give yourself some time when you feel ready to tell her the truth," Ladybug said.
"Okay. But I hope I won't go blood frenzy" I said.
"I better hope it won't happen," Ladybug said.
"Anyways, I'll see you tomorrow, milady" Cat Noir winked and pole-vaulted out of here.
