Maybe He Wasn't So Wrong After All
Disclaimer: Don't own House, or any of the relating characters. Pretty sure the plot's mine, though. Plot? Hehehe. Or lack thereof.
Spoilers: Last bit of "Sleeping Dogs Lie". Pssst! Am I the only one who got the homonym of "lie" (down) and "lie" (verb)? Yes? No? Maybe? So? XD
Eek: Maybe a tiny bit of Cameron/Foreman undertones at the end. I don't ship them, really, but I'm just exploring my options… This show isn't blatantly obvious about any of the shippings, really, so it's fun to explore.
"We're not friends. We're colleagues."
That had been an unexpected blow. Honestly, she didn't think they were great friends, but… she thought of them as at least more than colleagues. Hell, she'd been trying to apologize, and he rubbed it in her face. God, it had taken a lot not to cry, but it wasn't like what House had said to her. She was over him. But that was another story, for another time.
She didn't cry. At least, not until she was on her way home. In her car. With the music blaring.
It wasn't fair. House was right. Not that that was any surprise; House was almost always right. But about this? Foreman was, really, more like House than he'd ever like to admit, but… Cameron sighed. He should've at least had the dignity to apologize. That was it. Dignity. It was all about dignity with him, dignity and reputation. Maybe he was as shallow as he seemed to show. But then, maybe not. Maybe… he was hiding something.
Maybe House wasn't so wrong after all.
