Title: Breaking the chains of the past
Pairing: Fred x O.C. x George, implied others
Fandom: Harry Potter
Summary: Fred and George left Hogwarts after they failed to cross the age line. They quit school rather than being expelled, they believed that too much formal education rotted the creative mind. Approached by Harry's 'sister' Artemis, they are not only given a place to live besides The Burrow, but also a sizable investment due to Harry's unwanted Triwizard Cup winnings. As they prepare to open their shop, the Weasley twins meet an unusual wizard with a past. They become rivals for this wizard's affection.
Epilogue
It took a lot of meetings with Mind Healer Ted Tonks, which was odd given Fred's one-night stand with Healer Ted's only child before the three of them worked out a mutually comfortable relationship.
Bree began some potions for his anxiety after making sure that he wasn't allergic to any ingredients.
Only George truly had the patience to help Bree with his remedial magic, but Fred took Bree on private dates the same as George did. However, it took quite a while before Bree was willing to try anything sexually submissive with him.
It took even longer before the three of them were able to make love without being uncomfortable.
Not long after finally meeting him, Bree mentioned their business partner Harry Potter-Malfoy's kids and asked if they were really his biologically. It was about nine months after they started negotiating and navigating their way as a triad.
Fred was surprised, half the time he forgot that Bree was raised Muggle…
George blushingly explained that there were a few options for bent couples or relationships to have kids. The pregnancy potion intrigued him, George brewed it and they agreed that he would carry their child.
Angelina had retired as a Chaser and had been apprenticing to Andromeda as a birth healer.
George had insisted that all three of them were at the appointment.
Andromeda watched silently as Angelina cast the spell that conjured a ball of water and then used gentle sound to create a picture of George's womb.
George nearly cried when Angelina announced that they were having twin boys.
Bloodwise, they would test as both his and Fred's, but magically, the twins would be listed as having George as a bearer.
Bree was a bit anxious and stepped up his mind healer appointments.
Despite 'knowing' he had family outside of his abusive sire, Bree hadn't tried to meet any of them. He preferred Fred and George's brothers Bill, Charlie, and Percy.
Fred and George hadn't had anything to do with their mother or younger siblings in ages.
Fred muttered, "We should register as an official triad with Gringotts, I would like our boys to be legitimate heirs to our business."
"That's not romantic at all." Angelina chided.
Fred flinched but fell silent.
George insisted on pictures of their sons that he would no doubt beg Fred to copy and send to their brothers and friends.
They were all a bit dazed by the news of expecting twins.
XoooooooX
George had ended up on bed rest after a potions mishap, which Bree strictly enforced.
Fred tried to pick up the slack, but he couldn't, potions just wasn't his gift. He had taken one of Professor Prince's apprentices, Theo Nott on as a pro-tem potions master. He would have asked Draco, but he was an assistant Potions Master at Hogwarts.
Their house elf had been loaned by their residence and approved by Harry demanded that Fred come to St. Mungo's.
Bree spent what little free time he had with George and rarely left without sulking.
Fred arrived to find Bree in a panic, he pulled his lover into his arms, cuddling him for a moment before giving him a calming draught to learn what had happened.
They waited anxiously for Angelina to appear and usher them back.
George being unconscious made Fred instantly uneasy, "Is George alright?"
"He had a bit of a fall, your house elves were very attentive and brought him in immediately. His uterus tore and was leaking amniotic fluid inside his abdomen. We immediately sedated him and began an emergency cesarean. Both George and your sons are fine, we were able to deliver them before either suffered from prolonged distress." Angelina assured him.
Bree attempted to hang back as Fred pulled him towards the levitating bassinets.
"What would you like to name them?" Angelina said softly.
"Gavin Nathan and Jesse Tristan," Fred murmured.
They had a comfortable room with a convertible settee to bed for Fred and Bree.
Their boys were currently resting, a likely short respite, but Fred and Bree accepted light sleeping draughts to ensure that they napped.
XoooooooX
George was furious to have 'slept' through his sons' birth, but Angelina's frank description of his injury and the possible consequences had frightened him. He made no attempt to disobey his bedrest order.
Fred left their shop in the capable hands of their assistant manager Verity Eastchurch and Potions Master Theo Nott, while the three of them bonded with their boys.
He approved of their names, of course, they had decided that the four names Jesse, Nathan, Gavin, and Tristan were their favourites. Fred had merely selected the best combination…
They were legally bonded, but they hadn't had a proper bonding or reception. It just wasn't their sort of thing.
It took weeks before Bree was comfortable holding either of their boys.
George's six-week post-cesarean exam concluded that he shouldn't have any more pregnancies. For now, that was fine…
Gavin and Jesse had very different sleep schedules; Gavin was the light sleeper while Jesse managed to sleep through his brother's crying. Gavin would only settle if Bree cuddled him surprisingly.
It would take time to adjust to being parents, but proving that they were growing away from the parenting and adult examples of their parents were the last chains of their upbringing would be worth it.
What do you think? Outstanding? Exceeds Expectations? Acceptable? Poor? Dreadful? Troll?
A/N: Sorry this is so late. I really thought I posted this already.
