Hi. So I know it's been a while, but this year's been wild and I found my old notes so I'm going to try and finish this story. Hope you enjoy.

"Swan," Killian said as he walked up to Emma after rehearsal. "What's your stance on On the Town?"

"That's one of those old movies with the Singin' in the Rain guy, right?" Emma shrugged. "It's alright I guess, why?"

"My brother's in a production at school and I've got an extra ticket. Would you like to go?"

"Who else is going?"

"Belle, and I'd imagine she's bringing Will"

Emma frowned. "Wouldn't that be like a double date?"

"More like you preventing me from being the third wheel."

"Do you not have any friends besides Belle? Serious question." Behind Killian, Belle nodded. Emma chuckled.

Killian sighed. "Yes or no, Swan,"

"Sure, but only because the ticket's free. How are we getting there?"

"Meeting up at my place, then Will's going to drive us."

"And you expect to make it there alive?"

"What can I say, Swan? I'm an optimist." Killian started to walk away. "And the Singin in the Rain guy is named Gene Kelly!"

Emma chuckled. Who would've thought she'd be excited to spend time with Killian Jones?

On Saturday night, Emma rang Killian's doorbell. A woman in scrubs with dark hair opened the door. "Hello,"

"Um, hi," Emma said with a wave, "Is Killian home?"

"There must be some mistake. There's no way a girl as pretty as you would be here to see-"

"Swan! Hi!" Killian sprinted down the hall. The woman laughed. "Come in. Will is on his way."

Emma walked through the doorway. The woman smiled at her. "I'm Moira, by the way"

"Emma, nice to meet you." They walked into the living room. "Hey Belle," Emma said to the girl reading on the couch. Belle waved without looking up.

"Don't mind her Swan, she's trying to finish a chapter before her boyfriend gets here" Killian teased. Belle threw a pillow with surprising accuracy for someone who was reading. Emma and Moira laughed. "I'm being ganged up on in my own home; this isn't fair"

"It's my home too love, and Belle was in the right" Moira smirked.

"Always knew she was the favorite."

Emma watched the scene in fascination. Before living with the Nolans, she hadn't lived anywhere long enough to have real friends. Having close friends for years and years was a foreign concept to her. She glanced at the wall and saw a picture of young Belle and Killian at Christmas. She wondered if Mary Margaret and David's new baby would have lifelong friends like that.

Belle's phone pulled Emma out of her thoughts. "Will's outside." She put her book in her bag and headed to the door. "Have a good night Moira!"

"Have fun kids! It was nice meeting you Emma," Moira said with a smile. Emma waved shyly before following the others out the door.

The show was great. Belle and Killian laughed every time Liam did something over the top on stage. Emma and Will had fun exchanging sarcastic comments about the story line. Hanging out with them outside of school didn't feel nearly as awkward as Emma had thought it would feel. She was actually having fun.

The group waited in the lobby after the show. A young man in a sailor's uniform walked up to them. Killian grinned as the man threw an arm around his shoulder. "Excellent job Liam, I really believed you were in the Navy." The man laughed.

"Thank you little brother"

"Younger" Killian corrected.

Liam laughed. Belle came over to hug him next. "You were great," she smiled.

"Thanks Belle. Now, are you two going to introduce me to your friends?"

Belle took Will's arm. "Liam, this is Will. Will, this is Liam."

"Pleasure to meet you sir." Will shook Liam's hand. Emma looked over at Killian with a raised eyebrow. Sir? Killian looked surprised; Will must really like Belle to try hard at impressing Liam.

"Nice to meet you Will. And who's this?" Liam turned to Emma.

"This," Killian replied, "is Emma Swan."

Liam's eyebrows shot up. "So this is the famous Emma Swan. I've heard a lot about you,"

Emma winced. "Probably nothing too flattering."

"Don't worry lass, Killian always was a poor judge of character. Present company excluded," Liam said with a nod to Belle. One of the other members of the cast called Liam's name. "That's my cue. We're all going out tonight to celebrate. Tell mom I'll be home late."

"Tell her yourself," Killian responded.

Liam grinned. "I'll see you later. Emma, Will, it was nice to meet you. Have a good night kids." He started walking over to his friends. Belle waved goodbye.

Killian turned to the group. "So, anyone want to go to Granny's?"

Emma nodded. "Sure, why not?"
