So, I recently read some amazing That 70's Show fanfiction and it got me in the mood to write some of my own. You know how it goes lol. I noticed there was heaps of angst in the fandom so I thought I would write a super sweet fluffy piece, with the barest sprinkle of drama. Also, there is no period typical homophobia in this. No homophobia at all, I just can't write that shit, so maybe just consider it an AU. Hyde is pretty possessive in this, but that's what I felt like writing. Also, no major smut, just some kissing. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

They walked into the disco and Hyde had to fight the urge to walk straight back out again. This was a bad idea. Mrs Forman had been nice enough to go through some basic dance moves with him, but would it be enough? Blue eyes darted over to Forman, he knew his best friend was keen on Donna and he felt like such a lech, but he wasn't going to let that stop him from trying for Donna as well. He already felt guilty about it though. Hyde would never admit this to anyone, but Eric was the best friend you could ask for. Loyal, kind, funny, and always had his back no matter what. He hesitated again, just why the hell was he going after his girl again?

They sat awkwardly at the table, before Fez got up the courage to ask Jackie to dance. And fuck! He was actually really good.

"What the hell!" Kelso grumbled. "Is she touching his arse!"

"Well, two can play at that" Kelso yelled before storming off across the dance floor to try and find some random chick to dance with.

It was now or never, Hyde thought.

"Hey Donna, wanna dance?"

"Sure" the red head said with a bright smile already getting to her feet. Hyde made to follow her but cast a quick glance at his best friend as he was left sitting all alone and looking awkward. Hyde felt his chest tighten at the sight, maybe he shouldn't have asked Donna to dance after all. But she was already waiting on the dance floor for him, so he made his way out and pulled her into his arms, starting to move across the dance floor.

"You can dance?" Donna asked with a smile.

"This is actually my first dance" Hyde replied with a small grin, though a part of him was grumbling that Donna shouldn't have been who he shared his first dance with. He pushed those thoughts aside and concentrated on enjoying the woman in his arms.

He glanced around the room only to spot some random guy walking over to talk to Forman.

A frown marred his lips and he scowled darkly.

"Who's this dillhole think he is?" Hyde said sharply, as the other guy took a seat next to Forman, who wasn't even telling him to get lost. What the hell!?

Donna looked around to see what Hyde was talking about, a knowing smirk gracing her lips.

"He's cute" she said.

"Why's he talking to Forman then?" Hyde grumbled and the red head had to fight the urge to roll her eyes.

"I wonder" she said sarcastically as the older teen took Eric's hand and led him out onto the dance floor.

"Oh good," she said happily "someone asked Eric to dance, I didn't like him sitting there all alone."

Hyde glanced sharply at Donna, trying to fight the anger coursing through his body. Who cares if some nobody asked Forman to dance, he was dancing with Donna; that's what mattered.

Eric shifted nervously as Adam wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled him close. He had been sitting by himself feeling a bit lost when he'd been approached and asked to dance by a tall guy with soft blonde hair and sky-blue eyes. Better then sitting alone all night looking like a fool, Eric had thought as he let himself be led out onto the dance floor, his heart pounding nervously.

The music was loud and there were people everywhere.

"I'm not very good at this" he admitted quietly but the other teen just smiled softly at him, leaning closer as he whispered in his ear.

"Don't worry, neither am I. How about we just stand here rocking awkwardly."

Eric let out a bark of laughter, "that I can do."

They stood close together and Eric moved slowly, wrapping his arms around Adam's neck, enjoying the feeling of being held, even if he had hoped it would be someone else's arms wrapped around him tonight. He felt himself relaxing and started moving his body to the beat of the song that was playing.

"You're not as bad at this as you think you are" Adam said as they swayed around the dance floor.

"Well, at least I'm not as bad as him" Eric replied with a laugh as he nodded his head toward Kelso who was now doing a weird hop thing through the throng of dancers.

Adam laughed, his warm breath brushing Eric's ear and causing a shiver to run through his body.

He tucked his head under Adam's chin, just as a large hand started to make its way down his back before resting firmly on his arse. A warm mouth brushed lightly against his neck, but before he could react there was a loud snarl, and he suddenly found his arms empty.

Eric stumbled slightly, completely bewildered as he looked around the room and spotted Hyde standing over Adam, his fist bloody from where he'd clearly socked Adam in the face. Hyde's face was twisted in anger, and he was breathing heavily as he looked down on the other teen.

"Hyde! What the hell man!?" Eric cried out, running forward and wrapping a hand around Hyde's arm to pull him away. He was thankful some of Adams friends had come over and were helping him stand.

"He was fucking all over you!" Hyde seethed as he took another threatening step toward Adam.

"So!?" Eric exclaimed completely dumbfounded.

Hyde let out another growl, "whatever!" he said throwing his arms up and storming out of the room. Eric cast an apologetic look at Adam before chasing after his best friend. He found him sitting on the bonnet of the Vista Cruiser. Eric approached cautiously, he knew there was a very good chance that Hyde would clam up and he'd get nothing out of him.

He took a seat next to him.

"You wanna tell me what that was all about?" Eric asked, trying for casual but failing miserably. He wasn't surprised when Hyde didn't respond, instead choosing to sit in stony silence.

"I guess I'll go back in and check if Adam's alright, then. Maybe see if he wants another dance" Eric said nonchalantly, standing up and straightening his clothes. He had made it all of three steps before a hand gripped his arm and he was yanked back forcefully into a strong chest.

"The hell you are!" Hyde grumbled into his ear.

Eric twisted around in the arms that were holding him, meeting Hyde's eyes for the first time that night. He raised an eyebrow, waiting for an explanation.

"He's not good enough for you. You only just met, and he already had his hands all over you!"

"We were dancing" Eric said exasperatedly "it's kinda hard not to have your hands all over the other person."

"Oh, he had more then just dancing on his mind!" Hyde exclaimed, and Eric blushed hotly.

"So, what if he did?"

"I thought you liked Donna?" Hyde said and he knew he was grasping at straws.

"What? Donna? No, just no" Eric said in complete surprise. "Donna isn't the one I like, she's just one of my best friends."

Now it was Hyde's turn to look surprised.

"Do you like her? I mean you asked her to dance tonight."

"Donna is a great chick, but no I don't really like her, not in that way" Hyde said softly, a hand reaching up to pull Forman closer, breathing deeply as his anger faded. Ignoring the way his heart was pounding in his chest.

They were interrupted before any more could be said by their noisy friends joining them.

"Nice punch!" Kelso crowed, thumping Hyde on the back. Eric went to take a step back, but Hyde's warm hand kept him close.

"Aw little Hyde didn't like someone else touching his Eric" Donna teased with a delighted laugh.

"Fuck off" Hyde scowled.

"So romantic" Jackie gushed, causing both boys to blush hotly.

Kelso took a step closer to the pair, "ooh you better watch out my friend, Hyde won't like you that close to Eric" Fez laughed uproariously at his own joke.

"You're right, I don't like him that close" Hyde growled, shoving Kelso away and causing the other teen to stumble into the car.

Jackie and Donna could barely hold in their laughter.

"Lets just go" Hyde grumbled, climbing into the front seat beside Eric, the others following suit.

The ride home consisted mostly of teasing Eric and Hyde, only shutting up when Hyde threatened to smoke their whole stash if they didn't stop.

Eric drove along, thankful for the distraction while his brain whirred and he tried to block out all the noise from his friends. Hyde was a constant warmth at his side and when a large hand landed softly on his thigh Eric finally started to believe that maybe Hyde did feel something for him.

Eric had been head over heels in love with his best friend for a while now but hadn't dared to believe that the feeling could be mutual. Hyde was so closed off; it could be hard to read how he was feeling. He chanced a glance out of the corner of his eye, but Hyde was staring resolutely out the front window, sunglasses back on so that you couldn't even see his eyes.

He looked back towards the front, letting out a small sigh. The hand on his thigh tightened infinitesimally, a comfort and a reassurance all in one movement.

They arrived pack to Point Place, and Fez suggested going down to the basement to watch a movie before heading home. An idea that was firmly squashed by Hyde.

"Go home" he barked, and no one was stupid enough to argue, not even Kelso.

Donna shot him a cheeky wink before disappearing into her own yard. So now it was just Eric and Hyde left.

"You, ah, you wanna stay the night?" Eric asked, shooting his friend a concerned look.

"Yeah" Hyde gulped. His chest going warm at how thoughtful his best friend was. It wasn't unusual for Hyde to spend the night; Forman knew how much he hated going 'home' to Edna.

They went down to the basement and Hyde rummaged in the freezer for a couple of popsicles for them, while Eric flicked the TV on. They settled back and Eric's eyes caught on Hyde's bruised and bloody hand.

"Oh shit, I forgot about that" Eric said with a gasp, jumping to his feet and hurrying over to the freezer. It took Hyde a moment to work out what he was talking about, until he came back with a bag of peas.

"I'm fine" Hyde grumbled, moving to put his hand under his leg and ignoring the pain that raced through him at the contact.

"Yeah, I don't think so" Eric said as he wrapped an old shirt around the peas before gently pulling the injured hand into his lap. He carefully examined the wounds, to find bruises already forming as well as a few scrapes caked in dried blood.

"You got all this just from punching Adam?" Eric asked in disbelief.

Hyde scowled darkly at the name. "Might've punched a wall once or twice on my way out to the car."

Eric raised an eyebrow but chose not to comment further as he gently placed the peas on to Hyde's hand. He kept it cradled in his lap to ensure that the peas weren't just thrown off as soon as Eric let go.

"Does it hurt? I can go get some painkillers from upstairs?"

"Nah, it's not too bad." Hyde hesitated for a moment before continuing. "Was worth it."

Eric's heart was pounding in his chest. "Yes, I'm sure Adam really deserved to be punched and knocked to the ground simply for dancing with me" scepticism clear in his tone. "Might I remind you that you were dancing with Donna at the time."

Hyde ran in fingers through his hair in aggravation.

"I know! I know! I don't know what I was thinking dancing with Donna. It's just when I saw you dancing with him, when I saw his hands running all over your body, I damn near lost my mind! I had to get him away from you."

"Why though?" Eric cried, glad that they were finally getting somewhere.

"Because" Hyde jumped to his feet, knocking the peas to the ground. "Because if anyone should be touching you like that, it should be me! Not some nobody who doesn't even understand how amazing you are."

Eric froze. Hyde froze. Hyde looked like a dear caught in the headlights as Eric pulled his glasses off to reveal wide eyes showing a level of vulnerability he'd never seen on the other before.

"You think I'm amazing?" Eric asked with a small grin.

"You're alright" Hyde huffed, that only caused Erics grin to widen.

"No, no going back now, you said that I'm amazing."

The edges of Hyde's mouth twitched up into a smile.

"You also said that it should be you who's touching me like that" Eric said gently as he took Hyde's uninjured hand and guided it around to sit on his lower back just at the swell of his arse.

"Do you mean you want to be the only one to touch me like that?" Eric asked and this time it was his turn to feel vulnerable. He didn't think he would be able to do the casual thing, not with Hyde.

Hyde let out a dark growl, his hand reaching down to grip the plump arse cheek and pull Eric close.

"Yes. I don't want anyone else to touch you ever. Only me. You're mine Forman."

"Just like you're mine, right?" Eric asked, still look unsure and Hyde's expression softened.

"Yeah, you're mine, just like I'm yours" he said in agreement.

"Can I kiss you?"

Hyde didn't even bother answering, just tugged Eric against his chest and brought their mouths together in a tender kiss, trying to show all the love he felt for the other teen.

Eric brought one hand up to tangle in Hyde's hair, the other gripped the back on his neck as the kiss turned more passionate. Hyde held Eric close, feeling almost desperate to have the other teen in his arms, scared that if he let go this might all turn out to be a dream.

"I love you, fuck I love you" Hyde groaned as he started kissing along Erics jaw, revelling in the way the younger tilted his head to give him more access. A sharp bite to his throat had Eric moaning loudly and Hyde felt his dick twitch at the sound, he hadn't even realised how hard he was. He continued possessively biting and sucking marks into Eric's neck. Determined to mark him up and show everyone just who Eric belonged to. He ground himself roughly against the other, enjoying the feeling of Eric pushing back against his hard dick before taking a deep breath and moving back a little. There was no rush, he wanted to take his time with Eric, show him that he was interested in more then just the physical. That when it came to him, Hyde wanted everything.

"I love you too" Eric whispered, resting his forehead on Hyde's shoulder as he caught his breath. "So much."

Hyde ran his hand down Eric's back, the pain and peas forgotten for the moment.

"Come on, let's go to bed."

They made their way upstairs to Eric's room, an old cot already set up from all the other times Hyde had stayed over.

Eric blushed as he undressed, feeling Hyde's eyes on him as he pulled down his pants and reached for his pyjamas, embarrassed to find that they were his favourite Star Wars ones. Hyde didn't seem to mind though, his eyes never leaving Eric as he pulled off his own boots and jeans but left his t-shirt on.

"You can sleep with me if you like" Eric said awkwardly as Hyde started to pull back the blanket on the cot.

"You sure?" Hyde asked, watching the others face carefully.

"Yeah, I'm not ready to do anything more" he explained, his cheeks blushing hotly. "But it would be nice to sleep next to you, to wake up next to you. I've thought about it a lot" Eric admitted embarrassedly as he shuffled over on the bed, making room for Hyde to join him.

Hyde couldn't help the smirk that formed on his face at those words.

"Been thinking about me in your bed a lot, have you?"

"Yes." Eric said simply as he glanced away, leaving Hyde flawed and achingly hard again.

Hyde climbed into the bed and pulled Eric into his arms, careful to keep his groin angled away so Eric didn't think he was trying to pressure him into anything. It was a tight fit, but they made it work.

A gentle kiss was placed on Hyde's temple, before a soft voice whispered "night."

"Good night, Eric."
