The recent battle with berserker was an absolute disaster. While Rider seemed to be doing fairly well, she constantly had to keep her master out of harm's way, because of that nearly
Shinji almost died countless times before he finally ordered a retreat.

The constant near-death experience back-to-back first time so reflect on all of his life choices, it wasn't looking pretty good.

"Rider am I a bad person?" Shinji asked

"Yes" She replied.

"You could have at least waited a few seconds before responding, a little hesitation won't have hurt."

"My apologies master, I wasn't aware you wanted me to lie." He wanted to give her a piece of his mind but she was only answering a question but she could have done it without hurting his ego.

Once they arrived back home Sakura what's there to greet them. "Brother, I wasn't aware you were coming back so soon."

"Sakura, am I a bad person?" She don't expect an immediate reply the way Rider did but instead of answering the question she just stared at him as of her brain stopped working. "Sakura?"

"Um, of course not. Goodness what kind of cuz I asked you to ask such a thing." She seemed a little flustered as she was stuttering over her words. "Did something happen while you were out?"

" Sakura, can you answer the question one more time but this time look me in the eye." He thought found her say what he wanted to her would make him feel better, he didn't.

"Oh I see, you want the lie to sound believable." Rider grabbed a pen and paper to start writing down notes.

"Shut up rider." he growled.

Shirou who had just finished house cleaning and decided it be best get some fresh air and relax. As he opened the door he saw the last person he wanted to see. "Hello Emiya." Shinji greeted

"Oh Shinji." Shirou give a annoyed sign before roll up his sleeves. "Alright lets get this over with."

"Wait I'm now here to fight!" He jumped about a couple feet so he was no longer in swinging distance.

"Really?"

"Yes, look I'm unarmed and I can alone!" Shirou thought it over yeah, the two of theme fighting one on one wouldn't end well for Shinji. "I just came to say good bye, I dropped out of the grail war."

"Why?"

"I've been thinking a lot these by couple of hours, and I'm a terrible person." The look Shirou give shinji after hearing that said a thousand, but the silence stare was earasting him a little bit. "I all ready give my commend seals to sakura."

"Sakura agreed to being in the grail war?" Shirou finally spoke.

"I mean, no not really at first" but she evenly did what I asked."

"(sound like you just focused her into this if you ask me)" Shirou thought to himself. "So what are you up to now?"

"I'm going on journey to do himself discover, I solo trip around the world will do me some good to help with my self reflection. Than I'm gotta become a monk." Shrinji looked up at the sky with a proud look on his face.

"Well alright than" sure I was at a loss for words over the sudden change. " where'd all this come from if you don't mind me asking did something happen?"

" I guess it's just time for me to grow up and think about the future you know. Maybe I could put all this behind me settle down find someone nice and maybe start a family one day."

" oh so this is about a girl, well Rider. seems nice I'm pretty sure you two will be happy together."

"It's not Rider!" He snapped " what kind of creepy loser would fall in love with their own servant."

"Leave." Shirou ordered.

"Huh?"

"Now!" it clearly struck a nerve but he then no why exactly. Instead of asking what he did wrong he thought it was best to just leave while he still could. If the two of them traded blows it's pretty obvious who would win right now.

A few days later Shinji was able to buy a plane ticket and started packing his bags to leave. Sakura knew he was leaving but don't exactly know when because he refused to tell her, he felt a little bad at first but he could tell that she really didn't want him to go. Some time apart would probably be best for the both of them, that said he did leave a letter on his way out.

In some movies there's usually a group of people who gather when a man character or protagonist is leaving to get on the Airport before I going off on their own, but shinji didn't have any friends so he just waited there alone for hours until I was finally time for him to take off. He felt real pathetic at first but then what's some optimism she was able to look at the positives.

The old Shinji don't have any friends but the new improved Shinji will probably have tons of friends when he finally comes back home. When you put it that way Shinji couldn't help but smile as he reached his seat.

"Excuse me" a familiar voice called out "do you mind if I take the window seat?"

" go right ahead" he got up to let the woman get her spot.

"Thank you, I'm going to get some reading done." she said before putting on her glasses.

"Do you're thing rider." he said before covering self with his blanket to try to get some extra sleep since he woke up so early. Then it finally dawned on him what was happening. "Wait Rider, why the hell are you here?" His shouting got the attention of the other passengers. "Why aren't you with sakura?" Even though he whispered this time Rider still seems slightly annoyed that she had to talk to him, probably because she was in the middle of her book. She removed her glasses and turned towards her master.

"Sakura never agreed to become my master, she only agreed to think it over."

"Since you're here I guess I should take that as a no."

" Mhm, I'm disappointed too." She put her glasses back on and and got back to her reading. " And here I thought I was finally rid of you." Her SAS has been all over the place since he started self-reflecting on himself, that last comment however had a nerve.

" you know I could just use a command seal and force you to go back to Sakura." Shinji smirked, Since this relationship was going to have to last longer than expected he wanted to remind her who was uncontrolled.
Instead of an apology he got another sigh before she took off her glasses yet again.

" you can only control my actions with a command seal not sakura's, on top of that the plane is already in the air So as much as I want to I can't leave."

Bring her say it like that it wasn't really the best option at the moment, Since he is technically still in the grill war Could be attacked at any moment and would be defenseless before she could get to sakura. Still she could have phrased it a little better

"Rider, do you really hate me?" He didn't know what possessed him to ask that question comma He already had a general idea of what her answer would be.

"No, I despise you. You are the worst master I've ever met." Again no hesitation, but this time her tone was a lot more harsh than before. " honestly when your measurable life comes to an end I think Hell is too good for you."

"However it is admirable that you're at least trying to be a better person. even though the bar is very left."

" Okay look that last part was completely unnecessary I get it!" he snapped. "And yeah I know I suck I've been thinking about this for a while that's why I'm going on this trip and the first place. No one's going to change overnight but it is possible so just do it you've got a front row seat at Shinji 2.0."

" Master, is that really what you're calling up?"

" shut up, it sounded cooler in my head."

"Well in any case I hope for the best just know that no matter what happens I'm not gonna fall in love with you." She put her glasses back on to continue reading for a final time.

"Hold up! What is the I have to do with anything!"

"You don't have to hide that master, it's pretty obvious that you fallen for my charms. I can tell how badly you want me." Because of the smile that she had Shirou couldn't tell if she was teasing him or if there was a general misunderstanding.

" even if that was remotely true, I just want to be a better person love has nothing to do with this."

" So you deny Your love for me not how badly you want my body? I hope we get to these monks soon so they can do something about my pervert of a master." Rider could see from the corner of her eye that he was starting to get flustered probably because they were causing another scene

" wiped that stupid smile off of your face." He ordered but he wasn't using a command seal so she didn't really have to listen to him at the moment.

" when the time comes for me to reject you I'll do my best not to hurt your feelings."

" I'm a master in your servant it's literally impossible for me to be attracted to you!"

" Telling a woman that she is on attractive, you really are the worst."
