She was hiding secrets, that Vergil was certain of this. Perhaps it was due to his lack of memories, the fact he barely remembered anything since his return, after reconnecting both parts of his severed soul into one, but still there was a rising suspicion that this half angel knew more than she let on – even to the fact she knew his name, without even introducing himself. Her apparent reaction to meeting him again, as if he had left her once before and now seeing him again, brought a strange sense of emotion to the surface, ones he did no recognise in both in himself nor her.

The elder Sparda twin was brought of his musings when he noticed the angel's hand outreached to him, there in the palm of her hand held a large, sparkling shell like object. It was the soul stone she had created with the demon spirits. "You'll need it in order to open the portal. I hope you both are ready for this." Her words were plain and simple, they had one chance at this – that's if she wanted to escape out Hell alive. A strange sensation flared within him, one Vergil could not comprehend, as if he was concerned whether she would be capable of surviving.

"You sure this is gonna work?" Dante questioned as both Vergil and Sera both met his gaze. There was a stiffness to the way the redhead shrugged in response to the younger twin's question, though Vergil couldn't tell if this was intentional or not. "It should. There is one thing I need..." Sera's word came out hesitant, her words lingering in the silence of the underworld. She briefly glanced up to meet Vergil's pale azure eyes, but quickly avoided the gaze when he met them – what was she hiding? "I'm not sure you'll like it, but it's the only way I know of."

"Spit it out Red." Dante had typically given Sera another nickname considering he had only known for her a few moments but it seemed he was trying to get a response out of her and get to the point of the apparent dilemma. Curiosity sparked inside him as she exhaled. "I'll need to create a bond with one of you, and that bond is permanent but it will be enough to create a portal." Vergil's gaze met Dante's as if having a silent conversation about the half angel, but in mere seconds it was over – before Sera could continue with her sentence, Dante had already answered, "I'll do it."

Both of their voices clashed over each others, but the elder twin immediately snapped towards the redheaded female as she spoke immediately after the brothers had. "Vergil."

"Wait."

"What?"

He and Dante spoke at the same time. His brother sounded shocked, whereas Vergil was just confused. It was intriguing, why she chose him over his brother – there was something hiding beneath the surface, there was more to this than she let on, and Vergil knew his earlier suspicions were now in full grasp. "Vergil is more powerful. The reason you were both down here is because of the Qliphoth, which if the souls speak correctly.." She paused, turning her gaze on him now, for once her golden gaze meeting his, there were no hesitation in her voice nor in her body. "You were Urizen, in which ate the fruit of the Underworld. You are the more powerful Demon, between the two of you."

"Make haste, Sera."

The Elder twin spoke aloud, his voice stern which was the most revealing thing of his stoic physique. He had been somewhat silent for most of the part, musing in his thoughts – trying to establish what this predicament would mean. Yet, he couldn't help but feel somewhat alarmed by his body's response, even if it wasn't physically showing, the word bond triggered a memory of emotions. Emotions he had once refused to acknowledge many years before and yet, even with hazy memories he knew somehow, to trust her. With a sudden surge of protectiveness flowing through him, the elder brother had no choice but to follow.

"Let's proceed at once."

She seemed confident in her answer, and with that he gave a firm nod. Taking the decision in his own hands and acknowledging whatever this bond meant, he would deal with the consequences if it meant she was the answer to his past. Dante crossed his arms, clearly not happy with the decision and not understanding the situation at hand. Time of was the essence, and without a decision – the three of them would remain here much longer than he had intended to. Sera moved closer, placing the warm, vibrating stone into his palm, forcing him to curl his fingers around the object before she placed her exceedingly warmer hands onto his. She closed her eyes and whispered the words.

"Ne allar congamphlgh."

The words, he knew them as if they were his own language. Years of knowledge, what did remain from his past, he knew those words were familiar. Heat engulfed him, flowing freely through his body down to his extremities. Whether it was intentional or not, as like before when they touched, memories flashed into his mind. Ones he did not recognise, nor understand. It was almost enough for the urge to trigger into his demon form, but he tightened the mental leash before the sensation left his body completely.

"Now, Vergil."

Her voice sounded strange, almost harmonic but wavered and without knowing the memories were no more. He had no moment to dwell on it. With a click of Yamato and a flick of his wrist, a portal before them opened, at last. The three of them spilled out as the portal behind them closed, fatigue seeped into Vergil's body, as if his soul had been exhausted from the bonding or from the portal, neither which he could explain. But what alarmed him most was the barely moving body beside him, Sera.
