"Care to explain how you both came back and who is she?"
The words died out when she glared at both Vergil and Dante, a question neither of them wished to answer whilst the female was currently out cold.
"Whoa, now, now, Trish. I'd thought you'd be happy to see me?"
Of course, Dante would try to avoid the conversation by evading it completely, though Vergil should've known better, but then again, he couldn't be blamed with his lack of brotherly knowledge between them.
"Shut it Dante, why did you bring him back? He'd be better off down there..."
It was apparent that their mother's lookalike glanced towards him that she realised he had deliberately placed himself in front of Sera, he felt protective of her – for an unbeknownst reason but he had questions and right now, if it meant to protect her from any of Dante's companions, he would do so without hesitation. The blonde span around, pointing towards his younger brother when the words came spewing out.
"Where is the logical thinking on bringing him back with you? He only tried to destroy the world not once, but twice if I recall. I really hope you know what you're doing."
"Hey! We had no choice, in order to escape he had to come with including her."
Vergil exhaled, a frown gracing his features as he tuned them out but continued to monitor the situation closely. The two began arguing, choosing to shut himself out of the conversation for now and instead found himself withdraw into his own mind. He had no recollection to anything that had happened after his separation from his humanity and demon side. Had he changed? He recalled small fragments of memories here and there, aptly with Trish and a few with Nero but there was no significance to them.
"Will you stop fighting, please?"
The voice snapped him immediately out of his reverie, as Vergil turned, his eyes immediately met with the gaze of the voice. Even fatigued, her voice held some authority to it which perplexed him further. It was only as he saw in the corner of his vision that he realised Trish had stepped forward, closer towards him and Sera. The look on both their faces was almost comical; it was almost as if they recognised each other.
"Why do you look so familiar?"
"You were escaping with Dante, if I remember correctly."
"What were you doing in the Underworld? Most of all, where Mundus' was?"
"That's not something I can answer right now."
Silence expanded in the small, enclosed space of Devil May Cry; tension lingered as everyone waited for Sera to answer. Though, Vergil was now even more curious. The revelation that Trish had met Sera once before and it was the same time that he had been incarcerated by Mundus. Did she know of this? What was her reason for going to the Underworld in the first place? Though, it seemed he would not be getting the answers he desired right now.
"Oh, so you get to pick and choose when you tell us?"
"Hey, will you all shut up. Right now, they're alive that's all that matters. If Sera doesn't want to share her life story with us, all good. She only just met all of us."
From the corner of his icy gaze, he noted that Sera had nodded her head towards his son as a sign of gratitude.
