Morning

The bright sun rays crept through the cracks of the curtains, covering Buffy and Angelus lying peacefully in bed in each other's arms.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

The alarm went off promptly at 7:30 A.M.

Angelus stirred in dismay of the ratched and exasperating sound piercing through his dreamless sleep. This was the best he's slept in weeks.

He hovered his hand over the buttons of the alarm and slapped them off. He resumed sleeping, tightening the arm wrapped around Buffy's naked body. He buried his nose into her hair and smiled softly in his sleep.

The memories of the night before flooded behind his eyelids. He could still feel the heat of her mouth kissing his skin, sending shivers all over his body. His senses were on overload as he listened to her moans, tasted her tongue, kissed her skin, and filled her with his cock.

He had missed making-love to her. She felt so good under him. The sex was possibly better than it ever had been in his memories.

Feeling his rapid thoughts, Buffy slowly woke, tilting her face up that laid on his shoulder and opened her eyes. "Hey." She whispered, her voice still filled with sleep.

"Hi." He lowered his head, kissing her mouth slowly.

The alarm went off again, taunting Angelus. He broke the kiss and slammed his hand down over the buttons, hopefully turning off the irritating alarm for good.

"Your robot bird sounds hungry." She said, a smile sliding across her face.

"You're the one that insists that we wake up at this godforsaken hour." He replied.

"Mmm… Maybe five more minutes." Buffy moaned, moving over top of him, locking his mouth in a kiss. She straddled his waist and allowed the thin bed sheet to fall around their waists.

Angelus cupped her cheek in his hand and entangled his fingers through her long golden tress. The kiss deepened, their tongues once again playfully battled for dominance.

Buffy slid down on his length with no preamble. She carried the pace, bouncing up and down with her hands on his thighs, she leaned back, her eyes closed and her back arched as Angelus thrust up inside of her.

Angelus watched her in a trance. He had the most beautiful woman he's ever seen riding him. His dark gaze rolled over her slender body, shocked that such a tiny woman carried two children inside of her.

With the pad of his thumb he manipulated her clit until she exhaled a moaning breath, reaching her climax. Angelus was coming as well, spilling himself inside of her.

Buffy collapsed on top of him and kissed his shoulder, as she relaxed.

Sated, they shared a few soft kisses on the mouth until the sound of Liam's wailing cries violently reminded them of their reality. Buffy groaned and buried her face into the crook of Angelus' neck, which made him laugh.

Afternoon

Harris Residence: Den

Replenishing whiskey in Angelus' glass, Xander noticed the cheesy dancing smile on his friend's face. It was a look that he knew very well because it was the exact look he wore after a wild night under the sheets with his wife Anya.

"Feeling good and relaxed today?" Xander teased. "Would it have something to do with a certain blonde?"

Angelus sat back on the stool, smirking as he cheersed the crystal glass and swallowed the golden liquid in one gulp. "Buffy..." he sighed dreamily, thinking about the passionate night they shared before and their passionate morning. "... She's amazing. I'd forgotten."

The sex felt different then in Angelus' memory. Perhaps with age comes experience or perhaps it was because they have been married for so long, she knew exactly what to do to send him over the edge.

"Rub it in, why don't you." Xander chuckled, taking a sip of the drink in hand. He had long since gotten over his massive high school crush on the petite blonde, but it didn't stop him from sometimes envying the couple. After all this time, they were still so much in love. "What do you mean 'forgotten'?"

"Cordelia wants me." Angelus announced, wagging his brows, letting the liquor hit him. His body felt tingly from the alcohol as it took effect on his senses.

Xander's dark brows rose high up his forehead. "What?"

"Last night. At the party, she says to me, 'if you're finally ready for the big leagues, call me'."

Shaking his head, Xander had always found Cordelia the most irritating in their friend group. He failed to understand what Doyle saw in her, besides being a beautiful woman. "Cordy is relentless."

"She wants to have an affair." Angelus poured himself another whiskey.

"She's been making moon eyes at you since… well… college." Xander eyed his close friend up and down, reminded of all of the college girls swooning over him. "What is it about you?" He asked, half-jokingly.

Angelus shrugged, pensively swirling the liquid in the glass. "I dunno. You have her number?"

"Whoa… whoa…" Shock was evident on Xander's features, he held up his hands, trying to wrap his mind around what Angelus had just asked him. "Are you actually gonna cheat on Buffy?"

Perhaps it was the alcohol talking or Angelus was acting out in defiance for beginning to accept this alternate life, he wasn't sure, but he wanted that number. This wasn't reality, who cared, right?

"It's not really cheating." Angelus said, failing to convince Xander otherwise.

"I beg to differ." Xander said, with a mixture of shock and anger in his voice. "We're buddies but Buffy is my oldest friend… A little flirtation here or there is harmless but what you're talking about is actually crossing a line…"

Realising how all of this sounded, Angelus rubbed the back of his neck, debating on trying to explain the 'situation' to Xander. "It's complicated. It's not really cheating."

Xander rubbed a hand over his face. "Okay, let's put aside Buffy being one of my best friends and look at the big picture. Cordy; she's beautiful. A knock out. A perfect ten. But Buffy, she's the entire package. She's an eleven. There isn't a man that wouldn't give his left nut to be married to your wife."

Angelus paused, knowing that Xander was right. He didn't actually want to cheat on Buffy, but this wasn't reality, was it?

He was accepting this world as reality and terrified him to do so. Everything he knew before was quickly becoming a distant memory.

What was he thinking? He was in love with Buffy. Never in his life did he ever want a woman as much as her. He was also in love with their children. Xander was right. He really did have it all, but could they have more?

"You're right." Angelus said, covering his face with his hands. "God, what the hell am I thinking?"

Exhaling a heavy breath, Xander shook his head. "Exactly. C'mon, man, we're gonna be late for the game." He headed out the door.

Angelus' face sunk in confusion. "Game? What game?" He asked, turning in the stool, watching Xander exit the den.

Sunnydale Ice Rink

Checked hard into the glass, Angelus gritted his teeth in pain as the player's stick crossed his back.

In the audience he heard their collective sounds of 'oofs' at the painful body check.

"You're okay, honey!" Buffy shouted from her seat on the bleachers.

Angelus opened his eyes to see her watching him with a nervous and wry expression on her face. Katie buried face into Buffy's shoulder, hiding from the hard hit against her father.

"Daddy!" Liam squeaked, clapping his hands obviously to the hard hit.

The player pulled his stick and body away from Angelus leaving him to collapse on the ice. He had a hard enough time staying up straight on the skates, he hardly moved more than a few feet at a time. The time he reached the team, they were quickly changing zones, leaving Angelus in the dust.

"Angel!" Doyle passed the puck across the ice towards Angelus.

Angelus put the stick down to accept the pass only to lose his footing under the slippery ice, Angelus fell hard with a thud. Laying flat on his back, Angelus stared up at the lights overhead. "Jesus Christ, what the hell am I doing here?" He hated every moment of this.

Holding the edge of the side boards, he pulled himself back onto his feet just as Doyle and Xander stopped short, spraying ice in Angelus' face.

"Angel, what are ye doin'? T'at was a perfect pass!"

"I'm doing the best I can!" Angelus shouted in angered frustration.

"Guys," Xander stepped between the fired up pair, "tone it down. This is supposed to be fun! Just focus. Angel, get open for a pass. We'll step up the shot."

Angelus awkwardly skated towards the opposing team's goalie and waited for the pass from either Xander or Doyle.

Soon, the pass came like a bullet across the ice. Angelus shocked himself by stopping the puck in place. He turned to the goalie, finding a small opening to the right of the goalie.

"You are Angelus O'Connor. You're better than this godforsaken sport. You're a partner at the most prestigious law firm in the country. You date supermodels. Met the Dalai Lama. You are worth 50.6 million dollars. You can do this…" He mumbled to himself, winding back the stick to slap the puck in when he was suddenly bulldozered to the ground.

Buffy jumped to her feet, worried for her husband. The hit looked painful.

For a few minutes, Angelus laid motionless on the ice. His entire body was pounding in pain. The pounding in his head rang in his ears. He felt a bit of wetness trickling down the right side of his face from a cut just above his brow.

"Stay with Aunt Willow." Buffy said, rushing down the bleachers, heading to the ice.

"Can you move?" A warped voice of the medical trainer echoed in Angelus' ringing ears.

Laying flat on his back, he opened his eyes to a group of blurry faces standing over him, talking at him, but none of what they were saying registered in Angelus' mind.

Then, as if the clouds parted and the gates of Heaven opened, Buffy's face broke through the disoration.

He exhaled a slow sigh, in love with her beauty.

Buffy kneeled beside him on the ice. She removed the glove on his hand, holding it in one hand and with the other she helped Xander take off her husband's helmet.

"Honey, are you okay?" She asked, propping him up in her arms.

"Ow." Angelus groaned, resting his head against her chest.

Touching his face, Buffy looked up at the trainer. "Maybe we should get him to a hospital."

"No. No." Angelus grunted, snuggling deeper between Buffy's breasts. "No, no, no…"

"You could have a concussion. You're bleeding." She took the rag from the trainer and gently pressed it against the bleeding cut above Angelus' brow.

Angelus mumbled something inaudible under his breath, snuggling into his wife's chest. "Just hold still. I'm starting to feel much better." He began to smile.

Realising that he was now faking his injured state, Buffy rolled her eyes with a laugh. "Angel… Oh, my God! You're fine. Oh, you're totally fine." She began to push Angelus off of her and got back to her feet, taking Angelus' hand. "Okay, come on, Wayne Gretzky, up we go."

"No, no… Ouch." Angelus smiled, getting back up to his feet with her help.

"Get up." Buffy tugged upwards.

Finally on his feet, Angelus circled his arm around the back of her neck. Her arm was wrapped around his back, guiding him off of the ice. Angelus lowered his head, laying a kiss on her mouth. The pain of the fall and the insane idea of having an affair was long forgotten once Buffy started kissing him back.
