Chapter 3
Troubles
"Momma, it's starting!" Ren excitedly called for his wife and Kyoko in a hurry came out from their bathroom with only her towel on, she sat beside Ren on their bed and watched the commercial starting.
The commercial started on plugging the sponsor energy drink where Aki opened the can and took a sip, Aki turned his head to hear someone yelling and then finished the whole can and in slow motion put on his off road helmet full of sports brand stickers that sponsors him, the camera focused on those brands and in slow motion the guy in skateboard jumped over him passing on something which looked like they high fived.
He took a look at it first and it was an invitation for the Street games, shoving the paper to his pocket, he started pedaling and the rock music started playing with the two policemen appeared in their motor bikes chasing after him this time. And whenever he made stunts like jumping off cars the clip turns into slow motion and the best stunt that did a short replay when he jumped from the overpass and made a smooth landing by the monument escaping the policemen, being left alone he did a little wheelie and jumped on a barricade down to the subway and out to the other entrance tunnel, seeing some girls who is supposed to be part of the commercial he drove his bike for a fakie, once he was out of the girls' sight he went to look around for another of his friend by the crowded area only to jump on his handle bar and stood there while balancing his bike, spotting his friend he then went back to his seat and pedaled passing the invitation to his roller blading friend.
The commercial ended with him snatching someone's drink and him drinking it. "He did all those stunts did he?" Kyoko looked at Ren.
"I was there and yes he did." Ren left out the fact his son got hurt doing some of the dangerous stunts.
"Was he hurt?" Kyoko worriedly asked.
"He just made those usual tumbles, but nothing bad." He had to keep it a secret.
"That is good." Kyoko sighed in relief. "The crew will shoot at the restaurant later in the afternoon right?" She asked.
"Yes, and sorry if director Ogata really wanted to involve you to the drama." He chuckled, "They insisted I wear my wedding ring and have my character reveal his married, not that I am protesting since I get to be with you again, but I hope this is not a bother?" He asked.
"No it is not, and beside I don't have to bother because there is no script." She winked and Ren tacked her for a kiss trying to take off her towel when they heard a loud crash, followed with Yashiro's agonizing scream and a loud sorry, "The day is not complete without that too." Kyoko sighed remembering her son is off to school.
"He better not jump the gate again or Haruki-chan and I will talk again about him jumping off a teacher in school." Kyoko sighed and Ren laughed.
"So where were we?" He playfully grinned and Kyoko rolled her eyes letting her husband have his way.
"Ren, Kyoko?" Yashiro was knocking and Ren groaned looking for his phone by the side table, finally locating it and seeing the tie, he winced noticing it was already late for him to get ready, but enough time to at least drive to the set. Making sure not to wake Kyoko he gave her one last kiss and hopped to the shower to clean up a bit and returned to give Kyoko one last kiss before leaving.
"Director Ogata called and he said the crew will be a bit late since there was some trouble and he will meet us at Kyoko's place." Ren was stunned and the same time happy since he wasn't actually late, "And what's with the hair?" Yashiro peeked at the room and found Kyoko still sleeping, he grinned, "I'll just call if you guys needs to go." Yashiro laughed and Ren sighed shaking his head remembering he still had the bed hair.
Ren went back and snuggled back to Kyoko.
An hour later, the couple are all cleaned up and dressed, Kyoko in her usual Chef uniform, her long raven hair is in a neat bun helping out in the kitchen preparing some special dishes, Ren however is helping around the manager setting some tables with Yashiro, they were just waiting for the crew to arrive. The place is closed for the occasion so that the filming staff can have free reign on utilizing the place.
When the crew arrived they awed at the beautiful traditional designed place and Ren welcomed them, "Momma, Aki's on his way here." Ren called out and Kyoko responded.
"Oh this is bad, he'll go through the fridge again." She jokingly said and Ren laughed. Yashiro mused at the couple whenever they speak how of a kitchen monster their child is.
Ogata for the past years is always amused and touched at the couple's genuine relationship especially how they act towards each other, and right after their child born, he thinks he has entered some kind of other world where they became different people. Ren being a gentleman and mister-no-record has become a little naughty in his jokingly responses especially when his wife is involved, and Kyoko who used to be miss innocent is now in tandem with her husband.
"Kyoko-chan!" Ogata went to the kitchen to look for his favorite actress and there she was in her uniform glory giving him a hug, "I hope you don't mind me putting you on a scene?" He asked.
"I don't mind." She smiled, "It is nice to be acting again." She smiled in excitement.
"Great! You will not have any script but I want you to improvise." Ogata with his demands again, Kyoko already anticipated it and knows what to do, especially it is a scene with her husband.
Stepping out the dining area, she can see her son already outside and playing on the street side doing tricks from his bike, "He's bored isn't he?" Kyoko turned to Ren.
"You know him." Ren said in a playful dismissive manner, "Nice! Smooth three-sixty!" Ren clapped and Kyoko rolled her eyes.
One of the crew gasped as he was writing something after watching the teen do his trick, whispering some things to Ogata who smiled ear to ear, "Tsuruga-san, looks like we found the best person who would play a younger you!" And Ren already had the idea who it was, instantly he turned to Kyoko asking permission.
"You are the father, you know what to do." Kyoko pinched his cheek and kissed him which caused anther squeal feast from the others.
Ren turned to Ogata who is anticipating the rejection, "As long as this would only be one episode it would be okay. But we have to ask him first since he is not used to acting." Of course his son is used to cameras as it is his thing recording himself with his bike, but never with acting.
When the crew was done setting up the place for the scenes, Ren's other co-stars arrived and they started the scenes after they were done with make-up and wardrobe, "Wait, she's your wife!" Sergeant Masato pointed at the blonde officer who gave a low chuckle.
"What were you expecting?"
"That your wife is also a foreigner!" Masato pressed.
"Just because my teddy bear is blonde it doesn't mean his is full on gaijin." Hana, Kyoko's character interjected, she didn't have any script but she took it as a bit of an offense since most people would assume her Kuon is a full blast gaijin whenever he is not dying his hair.
Masato was at lost for words, his partner had a fierce wife, "Gomen." He sighed.
"If you want to ask, we also have a child." Marcus, Ren's character flatly added. Throughout the scenes Kyoko enjoyed it, and Ogata is impressed that the woman never lost her touch.
"That was some great scenes guys, are you sure you are not coming back, Kyoko-chan?" Ogata continued to pester her like he would always.
"Mama, you love acting right? There is no stopping you." Her son coaxed and when Kyoko turned to her husband who smiled lovingly at her letting her know it is okay to finally do what she loves.
"But I have a business to run." Kyoko wanted to decline again.
"There are other actors that has businesses mama." Why is her son always a smartass and why is Ren looking at her like it is her fault, with a sigh.
"I will think about it, but for now, hurry the food will get cold." She urged everyone to eat, Ren on the other hand talked to their son about a scene where he is needed and the boy being laidback shrugged and agreed.
Julie designed a personal chef uniform for her son since he is part of the kitchen crew and loves to cook, Ren's younger co-stars kept stealing pictures of his son, They have been imagining a blonde Ren who smile widely more often with camouflage designed chef uniform.
"You okay, baby?" Ren kissed Kyoko after he followed her by the counter.
"I'm okay, I'm just thinking of the possibilities if I start acting again."
"Are you worried about the restaurant?" Ren inquired.
"Actually no. It is more like what would people think."
"Then, we'll take it slow. Like I said I am here with you and I will help you."
"Thank you babe." She smiled and kissed him in return.

~Good Morning Japan~
It was early Friday morning, Kyoko being joined by a celebrity host in her every gorgeous home kitchen for an interview.
"Thank you so much for inviting us to your beautiful home, Kyoko-chan." The woman greeted and Kyoko welcomed her again.
"You are very welcome and come try these!" Kyoko prepared some food for them, it was part of the show where the owner or host of the house will make their breakfast menu.
Settled at the beautifully furnished breakfast table laid with various traditional and modern fusion Japanese breakfast made by Kyoko, the host was impressed at the dishes presented and shared to her.
"whose huge plate is that?" The host mused seeing the plate with a mountain of omelet with lots of tomatoes, onion, sausage, bacon and cheese on it. And there was big bowl of white piping hot rice at the side.
"Oh that is for Aki, he is off to school and likes his breakfast big, he eats a lot." She giggles.
"Well, your baby by is a growing kid, of course he needs it." The host can relate since she has children as well, however not as a big eater like Kyoko's, but close enough.
On cue, "Good morning mama." The boy in his three piece suit uniform greeted Kyoko with a tight hug and kiss on the head.
"Good morning baby, here eat so that you wont be late." And Aki didn't mind the camera focusing on him and just inhaled the food given to him.
"Morning momma." Ren followed all dressed for the day and gave Kyoko a smooch, "I'll drop off junior before heading to LME.
"Sure thing, papa." Kyoko kissed him back, and here's your share." Handing him his breakfast, Kyoko continued with the question and answer with the host. "Here, and careful when driving." Again with their sweet smooches.
"I will, I'll be home soon." Ren smiled and took the bento from Kyoko, they heard the director complain behind the camera on how candid and sweet they are to each other and his wife not giving him some lunch box.
After the father and son left, Kyoko explained how she and Ren raised their child multi-cultural learning two languages that his is currently fluent. Kyoko showcased that she wasn't just the best actress they used to know, but a loving mother and wife to her family, that little snippet shown to Camera was their usual morning weekday routine and like any other normal family, Kyoko as a wife and mother perfectly performed her role.
But other than that, Yashiro finally had some fellow companions after they expressed their reactions through social media at the sweet hudband and wife endearments and affection, Yashiro has become their captain as they made a shipping crew as they call it.
