Summary: Harry grows up as Remus and Severus' son, spending school hours at Hecate's school for young witches and wizards. Despite the slight difference in their ages, his guardians arranged play dates with both the Malfoy heir, Draco who is Severus' other godson and the Longbottom heir, Neville.
A/N: It's been a long time but I finished an update... it feels weird.
Chapter 24- Beginning of silence
The new school year began with more responsibility and expectations.
Draco returned to his duties as a prefect and was pleased to serve Head Boy Adrian who was a distant cousin.
It was his first N.E.W.T. year and Harry's O.W.L. year, yet they continued to share Draco's prefect apartment despite Harry technically having his own due to his being Slytherin's Quidditch captain.
It was strange having to get used to having new teachers; the younger years had former Head Girl Penelope Clearwater and one of the Beauxbatons girls who were both apprenticing in Charms. There was a new professor who shared Transfiguration duties with McGonagall that was supposedly Susan Bones' sire.
Then there was Hagrid's replacement; the man had taken off after Dumbledore was accused of kidnapping and assaulting Harry. Due to the very strange relationship between their former Magical Creatures professor and the Beauxbatons' Headmistress, he had apparently moved to France. It was Blaise's mate Charlie of course…
Hagrid had unnerved Harry sometimes and Draco doubted many would miss him…
Draco had stepped aside as their House's primary Seeker, allowing Harry who was now their House Captain to take his once coveted position. While he liked Quidditch, having to face Harry had lessened his enjoyment for the sport much less the position. He had been working privately on his potions mastery despite being only a student. After all, he was assisting in his potions class rather than actually having to participate as well as occasionally marking essays for the first years. The joys of being an apprentice, he couldn't allow Neville Longbottom and Adrian to learn him too far behind…
Neville was in his year and was a difficult rival, but he had a tutor for potions. It was the only subject he had issues with.

There were few who dared complain within Slytherin, a number of Gryffindors still believed that Harry was the one who entered himself in the Triwizard. They claimed that his Harry clearly belong in Slytherin because he was a conniving untrustworthy person…
Nothing could be farther from the truth; after all, Harry was a sweet person who put others before himself.
There was something about him that made him hard to not care about, unless you were the likes of Ron Weasley or Zacharias Smith.
Their childhood friends Greg Goyle, Vince Crabbe, Blaise Zabini and Theo Nott had continued to be friends with Harry despite Ron's attempts to dissolve Harry's friendship with all of them.
After little of a year after Ron and Hermione's abandonment, Harry seemed a lot stronger. He still attended classes with Slytherin and now had his own uniform in those colors rather than wearing Draco's old uniform.
Draco was proud of him but worried how he would last a year at Hogwarts without him…
Harry was easy to misunderstand if you weren't really his friend. But, Draco had known the other boy since they were very young and despite being a year older, he knew Harry in many ways. Now as lovers, he knew a side of Harry that no one else did. He decided that he would cherish that, he would get his potions mastery and he would devote himself to making Harry happy.

Despite how Uncle Lucius was behaving, Harry still cared about it. He knew that Draco loved his father and was confused by his behaviour.
The hollers had stopped, but the silence was almost as hard for his boyfriend to bear. Harry hurt for Draco, he wondered how he would feel if it were his dads who disapproved of his relationship.
Despite being Slytherin's Quidditch captain and having his own apartment, Harry preferred to share Draco's prefect apartment.
It was homier and he was used to sleeping in his boyfriend's arms. Despite the school rallying around him after he beat the most dangerous dragon, Harry distrusted those outside of Slytherin with the noted exception of Luna, Nemia and the Creevey brothers.
With Viktor's relationship with Brecc Montague and Draco being a cousin of Fleur's, Harry had become close to them. Viktor had some pointers about his flying as well as praise and said he hoped Harry went pro because he would love to fly against him at World Cup.
While it was unlikely that he would be allowed to fly the Summer following graduation, Harry was hopeful. It helped that despite most of Gryffindor's Quidditch team turning against him, this of course meant the Chasers, Oliver still wrote to him and promised to send scouts. He had been talking him up since being signed by Puddlemere United.
Harry buried himself in his studies and his budding relationship, it helped that Blaise also had a relationship that was just as new and tenous. The two of them were quite close as a result.
Luna was the only one in his year outside of Slytherin who he really felt safe with. They had welcomed her into their group at Hecate's and had helped her with her grief after losing her mother in a Charms accident.
Harry wanted Hogwarts to be over but he wasn't looking forward to a year without Draco…
