Author's Notes:
1. I do not own Xiaolin Showdown but I do love both of the series. I do own Gloria/Gizmo who is Jack's daughter in fanfiction; she'll be a character throughout the story and I hope you will all like her
2. This fanfiction is an updated version of a story that I had started writing in 2014 and stopped working on in 2016 due to a lack of time and inspiration. Unfortunately I lost the original files and thus have no other choice but to post an entirely new version of the story that was copied and pasted from the original and then edited. Hopefully this version will be grammatically correct and have less errors overall.
3. There will be yaoi somewhere in this fanfiction, therefore if you don't like yaoi you might not want to read this fanfiction.
Anyway enough with my yapping, let's move on to the story Shall we; I hope you enjoy.
Two hours after waking up from his nap with Gizmo, that's all it had taken for Jack to finish building a new helipack; and though he had loved his old one he had to admit that this one was much better. The new helipack was bigger than the first one and it was going to be able to carry a lot more weight, this was good because it meant that he'd have no trouble carrying Gizmo as well as other cargo if he had to.
Jack had also been busy fixing up some of his old Jackbots, he had no intention of using them for battle considering he'd learned from past mistakes and had built much better versions but he did plan on using them to help him and Gizmo move. Once all this had been done he had made his way back to his office where his precious Gizzy was waiting and watching cartoons, he had passed Stacey on his way up but she hadn't said a word about how he was rushing around; in fact before the elevator had taken him up he'd heard Stacey tell off a staff member who had asked why he was acting like a chicken with its head cut off.
It was this event, as he had started packing, that Jack was reminded that he really needed to give Stacey a raise before he left, Gizmo had happily agreed that this was a great idea when he had randomly said something about it out loud and had also started to help him pack instead of watching cartoons like she could have.
Jack was relieved that he had help because it had made this so much quicker, in no time the office was all packed up and they had both made their way to the elevator.
"Daddy, will we need to go to our old house and get a few things too?" Gizmo had asked wisely on the way down to the lobby.
"That's a good question sweetheart, now that you mention it yes we will have to go get some stuff from there too" Jack had said feeling very glad that his daughter had mentioned it.
Once the elevator door had opened to the lobby Jack made a beeline toward the first level assembly floor where he knew Stacey would be, the wonderful woman was always visiting this particular floor though as of late Jack knew well that there were more than work reasons. Despite this other reason Stacey was always professional at work and had immediately greeted him upon seeing him come in.
"Stacey, Gizmo and I aren't going to be living in the area any more; actually to be honest we won't be living anywhere near here. Don't worry though, if you ever need me to come back just give me a call and I'll be back before you know it; otherwise there will be other ways to contact me." Jack had told his vice president expecting a shocked reaction.
"I see sir, well we'll all miss having you close by but it's good to know that we'll be able to keep in contact with you" Stacey had said, shocking Jack with the fact that she seemed perfectly okay with what she had been told.
"I do have a question before you leave though." Stacey had said before Jack had been able to respond.
"Well go ahead then, ask away." Jack had said wondering what was on his vice president 's mind
"If you're going to be away for a majority of the time, who will run the company while you're not here?" Stacey had asked curiously.
"Ah good question Stacey, but I'd think the answer would be obvious... when I'm not here and nobody needs to contact me, you'll be in charge as my Vice President." Jack had said having done his best not to laugh as the expression on Stacey's face turned to shock.
Speaking of which I almost forgot, with your new role you'll be needing a better paycheck." Jack added having pulled out his checkbook and then quickly writing Stacey a check.
As her expression had changed again Jack had been unable to help but laugh, he had quickly stopped however when Stacey had suddenly and very unexpectedly hugged him.
"Oh Mr. Spicer, I don't know what to say" Stacey had said crying happily as she had hugged Jack.
"You're welcome Stacey, you deserve this, you really do." Jack had smiled and patted Stacey on the back.
Eventually Stacey had let go of Jack but was still crying happily as she did so. Jack was glad that he'd made his new vice president happy but a soft tug on his hand told him that his sweet little Gizmo was ready to leave.
After some final goodbyes Jack exited the building and after making sure Gizmo was harnessed in he took off, once he was high enough Jack whistled and his Jackbots began streaming out of his office window with the luggage he had packed.
It didn't take long to get to his old house and though the servants were very pleased to see him he wasted no time chatting with any of them for too long and got ready to leave again. Before leaving, however, Jack was sure to let his servants know to contact his Mother, his Mother In Law, and his Brother in Law that he and Gizmo were alright.
He had also let the servants know that they could all stay in the house and do their tasks as they had been, despite the fact that he and Gizmo were no longer going to be living there; which they had been surprised but pleased about.
Finally Jack had left his old home with Gizmo in toe, he made absolutely certain she was strapped safely into the harness he'd installed for her on the helipack before he took off.
"Daddy, when will we get there?" Gizmo had asked after a while of continuous flying.
"It's going to be a while sweetheart, why are you okay?l Jack had asked feeling worried about his little girl.
"I'm fine Daddy, just a little bored is all" Gizmo had said with the cutest little sigh.
"Here baby I'll land for a second and I'll get something out of the bag for you to do" Jack had said sweetly before doing just that.
It was mildly amusing to watch as all the Jackbots stopped for a moment as he landed, he knew they'd be useless in battle but his old creations were still amusing at least. Once he had given Gizmo something to keep her occupied he had taken back off again, he was glad to have made her somewhat more content but felt bad that she had to endure yet more flying.
"I forgot how far away the land of Nowhere is." Jack had thought to himself as he continued to fly.
Eventually as he continued the long journey he felt Gizmo falling asleep in her harness, it was getting late now and Jack knew that his daughter was tired and hungry and was proud that she didn't complain about it.
"Hey sweetie do you want to stop, I have a tent we can pitch if you want me to land." Jack had offered sweetly to his sleepy daughter.
"No I'm okay Daddy, if you keep flying we'll make it soon; I know it" Gizmo had said sweetly with a tired rub of her eyes.
"Daddy is so proud of you Gizzy, you're being such a good girl" Jack had praised.
"Thank you Daddy" Gizmo had said with a cute blush.
"You're welcome honey, here Daddy is going to crank up the speed on the helipack... hold on tight okay." Jack had said with a kind smile.
"Okay Daddy, I'm ready" Gizmo had said, having not looked the least bit worried.
Jack had turned up the helipack pretty high but not to the maximum because that would have been much too fast for Gizmo, finally after flying quite a lot more distance thanks to the speed Jack could just faintly see Chase 's lair in the background.
"Wow Daddy I can see it, it's still too far off though!" Gizmo said excitedly, yelling because they were moving too fast for Jack to hear her otherwise.
"Daddy I know I said that I wanted to get there fast but could you slow down, think we lost your funny old robots" Gizmo added with another yell.
Of course Jack had known that this wasn't the only reason Gizmo wanted to slow down, the four year old girl was a bit green, and Jack had been intending to slow down anyway but now had an excuse that wouldn't embarrass his daughter. Slowing down so that he was only hovering in midair Jack whistled loudly hoping his old robots would hear and catch up to them.
...
(Time skip: about an hour later)
"I'm going to kill those stupid Jackbots when they get here" Jack said feeling more frustrated then he had for a while.
"Yeah me too." Gizmo said looking very tired and pouting grumpily.
"I'm sorry baby, I didn't think they'd take this long to get here." Jack said apologetically, feeling badly.
"It's okay daddy, it's not your fault." Gizmo said in a much more understanding and sweet way.
"Thank you sweet, you're such a good little..." Jack started to say with a kind smile before a familiar sound reached his ears and he stopped.
"It's about damn time they got here" Jack tried to window himself as he saw his cluster of old fashioned Jackbots flying toward him.
"Daddy just because you whisper it doesn't mean you can swear." Gizmo said in a sweet but scolding way.
"Right, sorry baby... looks like you'll be getting another quarter for your swear jar." Jack chuckled as his Jack bots finally caught up.
"You guys are really late, Daddy and I are mad at you." Gizmo scolded the Jackbots sternly.
Of course the robots didn't respond like the newest models would have but Jack still could help but laugh, it was cute to see his daughter scold his old robots.
"Alright Gizzy, now that the Jackbots have gotten here are you ready to head the rest of the way?" Jack asked kindly, trying to hold in a chuckle.
"I'm ready but well... let's not go fast again okay." Gizmo said, trying to look innocent as she spoke.
"Okay sweetheart we don't have to go fast, after all we don't want the Jackbots to fall behind again." Jack said knowing why Gizmo really wanted to go more slowly but playing along with what she'd said earlier.
"Right Daddy, still I guess it will take longer to get there if we don't go a little fast." Gizmo said innocently as she saw that they were still a fair distance away from Chase 's lair.
"That's okay baby, you just take a quick nap and we'll be there in no time." Jack said in a reassuring way.
"Well okay, wake me when we get there" Gizmo said, turning around in her harness so that she was able to lay her tiny head on Jack's chest.
"Will do sweetie." Jack promised before starting to fly again.
It took a little while but finally touched down on the platform that led to the door that led into Chase 's lair, to his surprise Jack saw that the door was opened already and a complete my different cat was waiting for him by the door.
"Ah finally, we heard you coming but I was beginning to wonder if you'd ever actually arrive." The new cat said in a very snobby way as Jack approached him.
"Wow, well sorry for inconveniencing you." Jack said a bit sarcastically, not liking this cat's attitude at all.
"Yes well I suppose I can deal with it, anyway before I take you inside I do have something I'm curious about." The cat said not noticing or perhaps not caring that there was sarcasm in Jack's tone.
"Oh and what would that be?" Jack asked, trying to keep his temper because he didn't want to wake up and scare Gizmo.
"You do have the Golden Tiger Claws do you not?" the cat asked.
"Well yes but that's still..."Jack started to say as calmly as he could before to his annoyance the Crooked interrupted rudely.
"Forgive me for saying so but it was rather stupid of you to not use the Golden Tiger Claws then; as I'm sure it would have taken less time. I suppose you're here now though; so please for goodness sake let's go in so I can go back to doing more important things." The cat said, again in a very snobby way.
"You know what you snobby asshole, I'll just go in myself, I'll bet that Chase is the throne room and I don't need you to take me there." Jack said, keeping his voice quiet but still lacing it with frustration.
"Now you just wait one second, I did not sit here for this long waiting for you to..." The cat started to say in an annoyed way, approaching Jack indignantly as he tried passing by, only to go silent at the look Jack gave him.
"I said that I'll find my own way, if I were you I'd let me pass and leave me the hell alone." Jack said not noticing that his voice had deepened quite a bit as he glared at the rude jungle cat.
Without another word the cat backed up out of Jack's way and looked nervous as Jack passed him, Jack failed to notice that the cat was being submissive; there was only one thing he cared about now bland that was finding Chase and ruining the cat's day further by telling the dragon overlord about the rude welcome he'd just received.
