Chapter 4: A little break!
It is a nice sunny Sunday, and it is 9:00 AM.
-Hey dad, I'm going out!
-Make sure you drive safely Koichi!
-Alright, Alright…
-Oh! And don't forget to buy that girl flowers!
-How do you even know about Haruki!?
-Your friend Takashi told me about it.
(I swear to god when i go back to school on Monday I'll kill that little-)
A knock on the door interrupts Koichi's thoughts.
-Yes!? Who is it?
-Haruki!
Koichi whispers to his dad:
-Dad, get that flower over there. Let me give it to her.
Koichi's dad gives the flower to Koichi, and tells him to hurry and open the door.
-Hello Haruki!
Koichi hands over the flower to Haruki.
-I-Is that for me?
-Oh, of course!
-Let's get in the car then! Bye dad! I'll be back in around… 4 hours.
-Have fun you two!
They get in the car and drive along the mountain a couple times.
-Sooo… what do you do in your free time?
-I usually help my dad in his restaurant and race in my Miata.
(WHAT? I DIDN'T WANT TO SAY THAT! WHY AM I SO OPEN TO HER?)
-You race? Is it fun?
-I would say. Hey! Look at that view! It's so beautiful.
They get out of the car and start talking while watching the view.
-And what do you do in your free time?
-I uh… help my mom make toys for children.
-That's cool!
-So I wanted to tell you something, but i think it's a little too early for it, since we only know each other for about a month.
-Go ahead.
-I.. I think I'm in love with you!
-O-Oh really?
Haruki takes a deep breath and leans in for a kiss. Koichi paused for a second but then he let himself go.
-W-Wait! What time is it! Oh! I gotta go home!
-Ok.
Koichi drives Haruki home. After getting home he tells his dad about what happened.
