Chapter 3 Revelations
"What do you mean you're from the future?" Akari asks.
"We came from a lot of years later from now, a world where people and Pokemon live together with harmony." Ash says.
"I guess it would make sense considering that space-time rift has to do with time and space..." Laventon says. "So I guess I should believe you for now."
"Professor?" Akari asks.
"But not many people here will believe your words as well, so we have to keep it a secret. You can't just reveal anyone else that you're from the future." Laventon says.
"You're right about that. We'll keep this a secret." Serena says and Ash nods. Akari sighs and says, "I guess I should help out as well... but that doesn't mean I can really trust you two."
"I guess you have the right to get suspicious towards us." Ash sighs.
After the meal is over, Professor Laventon says, "At any rate, I think it's time we turned in for the night, eh? It's a good thing one can't fall out of the futons we sleep in here - I imagine our new friends have had enough falling for one day! And with that, I bid you good night."
After the Professor leaves, Akari turns to them and says, "Yes, good night."
After Ash and Serena walk into their place, Akari looks at the rift and says, "A rift in the sky...People falling from it...The world is full of mysteries."
And when Ash and Serena are inside the room, they find that there are two beds and a stove, along with some plain furniture like small desks and drawers. Ash says, "I guess it is not that bad."
"Yeah. But now we are in the past, Phones like Arc Phone don't appear from the past...so what are we going to do then?" Serena asks.
"Let's have some rest, and we will know what we are going to do tomorrow..." Ash says as both he and Serena sleep with their clothes still on, considering they don't have other clothes.
But unknown to them, the space-time rift becomes bigger and lightning just shot from it to a big tree, and a roar of a Pokemon rings throughout the forest.
The next day, Ash and Serena wake up from the rest as they hear Akari calling to them behind the door. "Good morning, Ash, Serena. Are you up? Quite some lightning last night, wasn't it?"
"I guess so..." Ash mutters as they did hear the lightning from outside, but they didn't want to check out what's going to happen.
"Today's the day of your trials. So, er...let's give it our all!" Akari adds.
After getting outside, Akari greets them and she says, "What lovely weather we've got! I hope you two had a nice sleep, even if this land is strange and new to you."
"Yeah..." Serena says. "It was some good sleep."
"Let's go to the headquarters, Captain Cyllene is waiting." Akari says as she brings them to the Galaxy Hall.
After entering the hall, they find how big it is, and Akari says, "The Survey Corps' offices are here on the first fl-"
"Don't give up! Keep those eyes open!" Akari is cut off as they hear a noise from one of the rooms.
"The wild Pokemon, they...they were everywhere. Attacking from all sides..I sent out my partner Pokemon, but...against a whole pack...Outnumbered..."
"This is what happens when you go so far afield! But the Medical Corps will put you to rights."
Akari turns to Ash and Serena and explains, "That man's with the Security Corps...and even with his own partner, he took a beating from wild Pokemon. Without a partner Pokemon of your own, you might find this trial...particularly trying."
Ash says, "I guess this sure is some real business here..."
Serena says, "Yeah...it really is dangerous..."
"Captain Cyllene? Ash and Serena are here."
Cyllene was looking at some documents, and she simply says, "You may enter."
After entering her office, she walks towards them and says, "Let's get straight to it. If you wish to join the Galaxy Expedition Team, prove yourself capable by going out into the Obsidian Fieldlands and catching three different species of Pokemon: Bidoof, Starly, and Shinx."
"Catching three Pokemon from the start? Even though they have two people, but no one in the Galaxy Team has ever managed that..."
"Did these strangers not catch three different Pokemon only yesterday?" Cyllene asks. "My trial should be simple enough for them - if the professor wasn't exaggerating things, that is."
She turns to Ash and Serena, "The Galaxy Team does not have the means to provide for those who only take without giving. If you wish to stay, you must prove beyond any doubt that you'll be an asset to our cause."
"Okay. We'll do it." Ash and Serena say in unison.
"I will lend you two of our Survey Corps satchels to carry whatever you may need in the field." Cyllene says as two guards bring them the satchels as Ash and Serena tie them on their outfits.
"The satchels don't exactly match your, er, mode of dress..." Akari frowns.
"Akari. I'll expect you to step in if anything goes awry." Cyllene appoints.
"Pardon, Ash and Serena! Come with me a moment!" Laventon says as the two follow him to the hallway. "Now then, a jolly good morning to everyone!"
"Is something the matter, Professor Laventon?" Ash asks.
"In order to complete our Pokedex and, well, simply survive in this unforgiving land...Ash and Serena absolutely must pass this trial! And as a professor of Pokemon, I've got just the ticket to help accomplish that!"
Laventon tosses three Pokeballs and Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott appear from them. Laventon says, "Go on, Ash, Serena! Pick the Pokemon that strikes your fancy! With a partner of your own, you'll be able to fight off wild Pokemon outside the village!"
Serena asks, "Are you sure we can just take one? Aren't they your Pokemon?"
"These little darlings are very dear to me...but it's plain to see they're rather curious about you!" Laventon says. "Well? Which Pokemon would you like to keep as your very own?"
Ash says, "I guess it is just like picking a Starter Pokemon...I think I'll go with Rowlet, since it is my recent experience using this Pokemon. What about you, Serena?"
"I want to try out Oshawott." Serena says, "I mean, Cyndaquil is also cute, but I want to try out something different."
"And with that, one of the Pokemon you two caught at Prelude Beach for me will now be yours to keep!" Laventon recalls all three Pokemon and gives them two Pokeballs.
"A word of advice, pay close attention to which Poke Balls are empty and which ones contain a Pokemon when you're out in the field!" Laventon says as Cyndaquil is cheering for both his friends.
Akari says, "They look as if they're cheering on their friends Rowlet and Oshawott. Or perhaps they're jealous that it gets to help you with your trial!"
"That could well be...They did go dashing from the village when Ash and Serena fell out of the sky, after all. Well, not to worry, Cyndaquil! I'll have you assist me with my research for now! By the by, what species have Captain Cyllene charged you with catching?"
"A Bidoof, a Starly, and a Shinx." Serena says.
"Well, that's smashing! All three of those species can be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands! Let me give you some Poke Balls to use during your trial, then." Professor Laventon gives them 20 Poke Balls, and they put them in the satchels. "These Poke Balls may be handcrafted, but they work a treat, as you've already seen! You'll have this trial cleared in no time!"
"I guess you're finally ready. You'll have to leave the village for your trial. Turn left after you exit headquarters, then head for the gate." Akari says as both Ash and Serena nod.
Now in 2000 years later, Lillie is standing at the balcony of the Aether Paradise's mansion as she sees the Pokemon roaming around. But she is not happy considering that two of her best friends die because of those greedy people.
"Still thinking of them?" Lillie turns around to see Delia walking towards her. "Ms. Ketchum..." Lillie mutters.
"I know you can't forget what happened. I am the same, I miss my son so much." Delia frowns.
"But they didn't do anything wrong, why did they have to die? This is not fair!" Lillie says.
"Life isn't always fair, but the police are already finding those murderers and they will be bringing them to justice. Right now their achievements and trainer licenses are banned. Nobody will want them to go into the stores, or Pokemon Centers. They won't have anywhere to run." Delia says.
"But still, that won't change the fact that Ash and Serena won't be back..." Lillie mutters.
"Lillie, Ms. Ketchum. There you are." Just then, Gladion and Lusamine rush towards them, much to their confusion. Lillie asks, "Brother? Mother? What's the matter?"
"Haven't you guys noticed? Look out the window!" Gladion says as the two females rush to the window, only to see Pikachu and the others panicking about the weird purple sky.
"What the...what's going on here?" Lillie asks with horror.
"The whole Aether Paradise is now floating in some sort of wormhole..." Lusamine says. "But who will be doing such a thing?"
"I am." Just then, they see a giant silhouette outside of the paradise, and they rush towards the balcony to see what it is.
"No way...Arceus...the Alpha Pokemon?" Lillie gasps.
"But why is it here, and what does he wants with us?" Lusamine asks.
Arceus says, "Do not fear. I have teleported the whole Aether Foundation to the Hall of Origin, this is where we are right now."
"Hall of Origin? Why are you doing this? What do you want with us?" Gladion demands.
"Ash and Serena are not dead." Arceus says, causing the four of them to flinch.
"I'm sorry, what?" Delia asks.
"Ash and Serena were dead, but I have revived them because history needs them." Arceus says.
The four of them gasp as they can't believe what they have heard, Ash and Serena are alive, and they are really happy to learn the truth. Lillie asks, "But what do you mean history needs them?"
Arceus says, "A few centuries ago, two people go back to the past and help record the first Sinnoh Pokedex. And the two chosen are actually Ash and Serena."
"So you mean...Ash and Serena are revived, but they are now in the past?" Delia frowns, she was happy that Ash and Serena are still alive, but she is sad that she can't meet them since they are now in the past.
"That's why I teleport this whole Aether Foundation here in the Space-Time Rift. Let's say that it has become a link between the world you're living in and the world they are currently in." Arceus says.
"So we can find Ash and Serena?" Lillie asks, now delighted.
"You can find them, but you can't interfere with what they are doing. Or else the world you are now living in will be destroyed as you rewrite the history." Arceus says.
"I see...but why are you doing this to us?" Delia asks.
"When Ash and Serena are now in the past, they don't have anything with them. They don't have any items or Pokemon with them. I am sure they can make some items, but for the Pokemon, I will want to send some for assistance." Arceus says, and true to be told, all of the Pokemon are excited, with Pikachu being the most excited one.
"But only a few of them, considering that their mission requires a lot of Sinnoh Pokemon. But there are a minority of them that can come."
Arceus picks Pikachu, Snorlax, Heracross, Quilava, Glalie, Staraptor, Torterra, Infernape, Buizel, Gliscor, Gible, Sylveon, and Lucario to come, as for the others, they can just stay at the Aether Foundation to cheer for them.
"And for how you'll know what they are doing. You can just turn on the television." Arceus adds.
Lillie and the others are confused as they open the television, and they are surprised to see Ash and Serena following a girl who looks like one of the murderers, Dawn, as they are seemingly leaving a village.
"What did you do to the television?" Lusamine asks.
"This is God's perspective, everything that I saw will be reflected into the screen, so that way, you can see what they are doing and how they are going to write our history."
"Okay...I just hope they are fine..." Lillie says while holding her hands.
"As for the Pokemon that I've chosen, I will find a chance to send you to the wild, they will find you no matter what." Arceus says as he glows, and then the Pokemon he has chosen all disappear.
"Now they will be sent to their respective locations to wait for Ash and Serena." Arceus says as he leaves, then the four of them decide to process everything about what has happened.
And here is a new chapter, I have decided to let Lillie and the others give Ash and Serena some interference, as long as they don't change the history. I hope you like this chapter and we will be starting the capturing in the next chapter.
