Sasuke knows the scent of Naruto's skin. It's an odd combination of salt and citrus. He also knows Naruto's favorite color, the sound of his footsteps, and that he smiles in his sleep. This connection terrifies him. It exhilarates him too.

Naruto knows the scent of Sasuke's skin. It's an enticing blend of incense and almond. He also knows Sasuke's favorite food, the sound of his laughter, and that he has nightmares. This closeness comforts him. It also frightens him.

For three years they've been stealing time in bits and pieces. It's hard, but there's always hope for the future.
