Chapter 16 Celestica Flute

Ash and Serena are now back at Jubilife Village's Galaxy Hall, as they are talking with Akari and Laventon. Laventon says, "So according to the information you were able to learn from Irida and Lian of the Pearl Clan... was this the normal course of events, that frenzied Kleavor would be calmed by a nice serving of his two favorite foods...I do wonder,...Is it possible that the aromas or some other components of these foods might combine in a way that could not only calm Kleavor but draw him back from this frenzy? But by your own report, even Kleavor's warden - who looks after Kleavor and knows him well - cannot approach him in his current state. It would be a fool's gambit to get close enough to offer him food..."

He starts to think, "Hmmm...Give me a moment, if you would. I need some time to ponder on this...There ought to be something in my research notes that can help us..."

And then they are waiting for the Professor to come up with something, and time passes very fast. Serena and Ash are yawning while sitting down, before they can close their eyes, they hear the Professor yell, "Eureka!"

This causes all three of them to look at Professor Laventon with confusion. "We'll simply have to throw the food! You two've quite the arm for throwing things, haven't you, Ash, Serena?"

"We are?" Ash asks. "Why?"

"Might I suggest you take Kleavor's favorite foods and throw them at the Pokemon?" Laventon asks.

"I guess that makes sense?" Serena asks.

"Yes, it's all coming together! We can use our skill in Poke Ball crafting to shape Kleavor's beloved foods into balls, then throw them to achieve the same calming effect - but from afar! A brilliant idea, if I do say so myself. As for what to call these yummy projectiles..." Laventon says with excitement. "Well, how about Teatime Balls? Puts one in mind of a nice, relaxing afternoon tea, does it not?"

Ash and Serena are feeling weird at the naming as it reminds them of Clemont. Akari asks, "Why wouldn't you simply call them Laventon Balls, Professor?"

"Oh my. With that name, it'd sound like I'm the one being launched at our frenzied friend...In any case, we can rely on the Pearl Clan to gather the necessary foodstuffs, correct?" Laventon asks.

"I guess so." Ash says.

"Then you should get back to Grandtree Arena and let the Pearl Clan know our plan!" Akari says.

"If you're off to Grandtree Arena, best set out from the Heights Camp, eh?" Laventon suggests.

After arriving at the gate, they are stopped by the Diamond Clan Warden: Mai. She smiles and says, "My, my, that Galaxy Hall is one fine building, even from the outside...The Galaxy Team's certainly got themselves a grand headquarters - I'll give them that."

"Not to be rude, but Mai? What are you doing here?" Serena asks.

"Oh! yes, I came because I had some news that I thought you might be interested in. Better you actually see what's going on, though. Let's head to...What did you end up calling it? The Heights Camp?"

"Yeah, the Professor gave that name." Ash sighs.

After arriving at the camp, they are surprised to see Adaman and the Noble Wyrdeer waiting for them. Wyrdeer gives a growl and Adaman says, "I spoke to Wyrdeer about what's been going on. I told him how you've been trekking all over the fieldlands seeking a way to quell Kleavor's frenzy. All this, from someone who's not even part of our clan or the Pearl some wanderers who fell through a rift into this world. And hearing that...Well, you can see how he responded!"

"I trust you appreciate it." Mai says.

"We do." Ash says.

"Wyrdeer's found you worthy, you see. This means you'll need a flute like we have. Mind demonstrating for him, Mai?" Adaman asks, and Mai only nods back. "This is very important, so listen well!"

Mai takes out a flute and starts to blow a melody, and Wyrdeer begins to calm down and nod to the tune.

"That's a Celestica Flute that Mai just played." Adaman says. "It's a precious tool that can be used to call on Wyrdeer so you can ride upon him!"

"Wait, we can ride on Wyrdeer?" Ash asks with surprise.

"It's said the Celestica Flutes were gifts from almighty Sinnoh itself...and now, this one's yours!" Adaman says as he hands over the flute to Serena.

"Thanks..." Serena says as she holds the flute, somehow feeling familiar with it.

"It's not that grand a gesture, really. I can't play the flute for the life of me." Adaman sighs.

"See if you can play that melody." Mai suggests, and Serena decides to try it out.

As she plays the melody, she manages to get the notes fluent and Wyrdeer opens his heart and learned well the sound of her playing. Ash says, "Wow, Serena...You're really good at this."

Serena stops playing and smiles, "Thanks, Ash. I learned it from my grandmother, she said that to play the flute is passing down from generations."

Wyrdeer suddenly shakes its body and something falls off from it, and then it uses the mouth to hold it and gives to Ash. Ash says, "Hey, isn't this..."

He looks at the thing in his hand and says, "There's no doubt...this is the Mind Plate."

Serena asks, "Mind Plate? What is that?"

Ash says, "Let's say that it is a stone tablet imbued with the essence of psychic energy. When used on a certain Pokémon, it allows that Pokémon to gain the power of the Psychic-type. Not only that, but it can also boost Psychic-type moves if a Pokemon holds it."

He looks at the plate and notices some words from it. "The Original One breathed alone before the universe came."

"Ash, you can read it?" Serena asks.

"I can, I learned this from my grandmother as well." Ash says.

"Now, use that Celestica Flute wisely and gallop across the land with the great Wyrdeer!" Adaman says. "You've got a frenzied Pokemon to quell at Grandtree Arena, haven't you? With Wyrdeer, you can gallop across the fieldlands in no time!"

Ash and Serena nod as they watch both Adaman and Mai leave the place. Serena blows the flute and calls Wyrdeer, and they hop onto it and rides off.

"Wow, he is very fast..." Serena says in awe.

"Yeah, the breeze is also nice." Ash replies as they rush towards the Grandtree Arena.

Back in the modern world, Lillie arrives at the Kanto Region as she is going to visit Professor Oak, who is still in the lab working on researching Pokemon. Lillie says, "Excuse me, Professor."

Professor Oak sees that Lillie has arrived, and he says, "Well if it isn't Lillie? I heard from my cousin that you have been depressed these days because of that..."

"I know, that's why I'm here, since you are the closest person to Ash and Serena, I want to know some answers. Is it true that Ash has met every single one of the Pokemon in the world? Including Legendary and Mythical Pokemon?"

Professor Oak nods and says, "Why indeed. It is thanks to Ash that I have managed to make a lot of papers with those Pokemon. But there are sometimes when both Delia and I are worried since Ash almost risked his life for them. Why do you ask?"

Lillie says, "So that means even Arceus is one of them, right?"

"Arceus the Alpha Pokemon, I believe it is true, during one of the journeys in Sinnoh, Ash encountered Arceus, who tried to destroy humans for what he has suffered ten thousand years ago." Professor Oak says, "Ash said that he traveled back time to stop Arceus from angering, and that leaves an important part in Arceus' mind."

Lillie nods and she takes a deep breath, "Professor, what I am going to reveal should be kept a secret from anyone else. Arceus manages to revive both Ash and Serena."

This causes Professor Oak to drop his pen with shock, he asks, "Is that true? So you mean both Ash and Serena are still alive? Where are they?"

Lillie then decides to tell him about what Arceus told her, and Professor Oak says, "So let me get this straight. Ash and Serena are revived in the Sinnoh Region which is 2000 years from now, and they are going to help the Professor of that time make the very first Sinnoh Pokedex?"

"It is true, Arceus also gave us these Arc Phones so that we can communicate with each other even though we are in different time zones. But in exchange, the fact that Ash and Serena travel back in time and complete the first Sinnoh Pokedex is already history, we can't change that, or else who knows what might be happening in the future." Lillie says.

"Even though it may be sound hard to believe, I know how it feels to time travel." Professor Oak says. "So what does Ash and Serena need for my assistance?"

"Well, right now they can handle themselves, but for Delia and I, I want to know about those murders, are they being brought to justice yet?" Lillie asks.

"Sadly, they are yet to be caught, considering they might have changed their names and appearances." Professor Oak says. "Maybe you should try to contact Goh or Chloe. They might have an idea of where they are considering that the Cerise Labs are also helping the International Police to find those traitors."

"Sure, I'll try to call them." Lillie says as she leaves.

At the same time, Delia arrives at Vaniville Town as she finds Grace, who is feeding her Rhyhorn. Delia knocks on the door and Grace notices her.

"Delia, what a surprise." Grace hugs her best friend and Delia hugs her back.

"Hello Grace, you don't mind if I come in?" Delia asks.

After Grace prepares some tea, Delia asks, "So how are you? You know, after that happened..."

"It is very hard to move on..." Grace frowns. "I mean, there are a lot of times I'm regretting having Serena learn Rhyhorn racing. Now that she won't be here anymore..."

Delia frowns and says, "I know what you feel, Grace. But I'm here because there are some things I need to know."

Delia takes out a letter and gives it to Grace, who asks, "What is this?"

"Just read it and you'll know." Delia says.

Grace opens the letter and she gasps, she knows very well that it is Serena's writing, as she continues to read, she is shocked to learn that Serena wasn't dead, and the fact that she was in 2000 years away from now.

Grace begs, "Delia, please tell me this is real..."

"It is real. I have met them a few hours ago." Delia smiles. "They are both alive, and they are making our history right now."

Grace is very happy as she hugs Delia as a sister would do, and Delia decides to reveal anything.

"So if we go to the Aether Paradise, we might be able to see them again?" Grace asks.

"That's right." Delia says, "But there is also a question that Serena wants to ask you, it is about her ancestors."

Grace nods as she takes out a book, she says, "This book was passed down from generations, I hope this will help us out."

Then they decide to read the book to see if there are any clues about Hisui Region.

Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, I decided to add some modern times, like Professor Oak and Grace. Ash and Serena also get their first Arceus plate from one of the Noble Pokemon. I hope you like this chapter and we'll be having the Kleavor fight in the next chapter.
