Chapter 32: That Special Day

Part 1: Man of Two

The day of the culture festival.

Normally a time for the publicity of all the school clubs and societies, the Culture Festival is one of the most eventful times of student life in any school.

Every club present would set out a presentation or an event to publicise themselves while several other student groups were free to sign up for participation otherwise and put up a stand to exhibit their works. All in all, the week before the culture festival is abnormally more hectic than it should ever be.

However, Wallace was especially proud of his work for this event.

Being the student body president, he was the sole entity to organise the entire event. He was the one to set out budgets, set up individual events, see to it that everyone was done on time and so many more tasks. Add this on top of his preparations for the day when MC would return, and you get a form of Wallace who is ready to drop from exhaustion.

Wallace slightly rubbed his eyes, trying to shake himself awake. He managed to sleep the previous night, but he was still very tired. He ended up mentally berating himself for being so weak. How could he lead an army of Stand Users if he was exhausted from a simple festival?

Taking a sip of water to keep himself up, he looked around the open courtyard he was in, relishing in the work that was clearly put in by his underlings. He did not mind their lower numbers; the missing ones had already proved their worthlessness. All of those students and several of their parents alongside some other random guests were present. He couldn't help but smirk as he noticed the stage that he was walking towards, cleaned neatly even though it was placed atop a lawn, with a red carpet leading up to it from the next closest paved path so that Wallace couldn't soil his shoes. There was also a podium standing tall in the centre of the stage, already set up with the mic that he required.

'I truly have become a king, haven't I?' he couldn't help but ponder with a smirk as he tossed the water bottle behind him as he walked along the carpet, staining the carpet behind him. 'All of these minions in the palm of my hand. My own army. All because of the power of Radiohead.'

Chuckling to himself, Wallace sauntered along, ready to step onto the podium and declare the culture festival open.

However, he was interrupted by Reiko Haku, running up to him and unknowingly soiling the cleanliness of the red carpet he was walking on.

"Wallace…" Haku heaved as he spoke, trying to catch his breath. "Code… Code Green."

Wallace widened his eyes in surprise and shock.

'Huh? Now? That's not like him at all. Why is he showing up now?'

"Where is he now?" Wallace demanded, his expression turning graver.

Haku closed his eyes as Wallace made out Want It That Way whispering in his ear. "He's already in position, it seems," he finally spoke up. "At this moment, he's hiding past the building wall."

"Very well. It's time for our fight, I see."

"Wallace, what do we do about the guests? Other than the students, of course."

"I don't care about them. What matters is that we resolve this issue as soon as possible."

Wallace grumbled under his breath as he brushed past Haku and walked onto his podium. Gently checking the mic, he angled it up to his mouth.

"Everyone, I have an announcement. Quiet down."

And he was met with sudden silence, no one willing to speak up while Wallace spoke. Those who didn't know about him, however, merely looked around in confusion. Some even asked their children about why they were standing so stiffly, but they simply made them shut up as well.

"As most of you know by now, I am plagued by an illness. A leech on my life that keeps coming back, no matter what I try to do. I have done everything I could to stop this thing from attacking me, despite not being able to attack him back, but it seems that he ignored my previous comment and chose to show his face to me once again."

While Wallace was speaking, Haku gestured to one of the people among the audience about a location past their school's wall end. The student nodded and walked up onto the stage alongside Wallace, standing by the edge in respect.

"I would like all of you to meet… Mark Caulfield."

All of a sudden, the student disappeared, and Mark Caulfield appeared in his place.

MC blinked in surprise as he suddenly found himself standing below Wallace. 'What… I was just waiting beyond the wall! Is this another Stand ability?'

"Hello Markie," Wallace breathed into his mic while looking straight at him with a soft smile. "I see you've returned. I'm honestly surprised you showed up today. I thought that you'd come on Wednesday instead since you need Tuesday for your Stand to recharge."

'Well, I would have, if it weren't for Elyssa telling me that that was far too predictable. It seems that she was correct.'

As MC turned up to look at Wallace, however, his surprise at his sudden apparition was washed away by an old wave of rage.

"Wallace…" MC said under his breath as he clenched his fists, feeling his nails dig into the skin of his palms. "It doesn't really matter when I show up. All that matters is that I defeat you. I will avenge my friends."

Wallace snickered in amusement. "You know, that's exactly why I found you so obnoxious. Everything you do is always for your 'friends', and no one else. Hell, you sometimes even forget about yourself just for the sake of these friends of yours. Look at me!" He gestured to the entire crowd before him. "I only think about myself, and I've got far too many friends to count, don't I?"

MC scowled even further. "They're not your friends. They're your servants. I'm assuming that you gave some of them Stands?"

Wallace grinned at MC's question, then simply gestured to the crowd once more.

And so, MC turned to look.

And every single student had a Stand behind them.

MC stood agape at the sudden flood of colour that assaulted his eyes from the various Stands before him. Of course, some didn't possess Stands like several parents, siblings and some teachers. But everyone who donned the school uniform had a Stand attached to them. And they were all different. Completely different colours. Completely different appearances. Completely different abilities.

"You…" MC couldn't help but lowly growl as his heart started to beat faster. However, despite what he initially assumed, he wasn't feeling warmer due to fear. He had no intention of merely running away from the terrible army he was bearing witness to.

What he actually felt was rage. More rage than he had ever felt before in his life. The type of rage that floods your mind and turns you into an animal.

"Day One!" MC called out, manifesting his Stand as he turned to Wallace and dove in for a punch.

Wallace simply smirked at the incoming hit and decided to simply jump away from the podium to dodge the attack.

"It doesn't matter if you kill me, MC," Wallace declared. "You cannot delete me. That means that once you reverse time, I will come back. Did you forget?"

MC paused upon hearing Wallace's words but then smirked as he stood tall once again.

"I've already seen through your lies, and I know the whole truth. So… Radiohead is the same type of Stand as Day One, isn't it?"

Right as he heard those words, Wallace felt the blood drain from his face.

"We share the same abilities because we share the same soul," MC soldiered on. "We are the Perfect Human. And I chose to break away from our union because I was grieving for Elyssa.

"But none of that truly matters to you, doesn't it? I know it doesn't. Just like how I know that I am the only one in this world who can ever truly kill you. I am the only one who can delete you."

Wallace gnashed his teeth in frustration, face blanched with worry. "H-How did you f-f-find out?!" Wallace half-stammered, half-screamed his response.

"Simple," MC smirked as he pulled out his phone from his pocket and rang someone up. "I had help. From a God.

"Elyssa! Now!"

And then, Wallace felt true agony.

As all of his leashes were snapped in an instant.

"W-What did you do?!" Wallace yelled out, looking up at MC in fear. "I… I can't control them anymore!"

"You heard that?!" MC called out as he turned to the mic that was still on the podium. "Wallace has lost his control over you all! You are all free! I know that you still feel indebted to him because of the power he gave you, but you need to know that Stands are a curse! Nothing good ever comes out of having a Stand!

"And to those who don't understand what's going on. Run away from here as fast as you can! A large scale attack is happening in this school, and you all need to leave before it can truly begin!"

"D-Damn you, Markie!" Wallace grit his teeth as he looked up at his adversary, turmoil unsheathed by his eyes, yet staying still in fear of MC's potential ability to delete him. "H-How did you sever all of my leashes! You haven't even entered the Breach!"

Smirking at him, MC quickly craned his head to the roof of the building behind him. Wallace followed his eyes up to the roof. But upon seeing the person there, once again, the colour drained from his face.

She may have looked like a simple blind girl with white hair tied to a ponytail behind her, standing rather tall for someone of her age and stature with a white cane in her hands and at the moment, wearing her dark-tinted glasses and girl's school uniform. No other person would have ever considered this person a threat, other than the fact that she was standing across a disintegrated part of the fence over the roof.

However, to Wallace, he could never forget the first person he had ever deleted alongside the Perfect Human. He would never forget the strongest Stand User he had ever seen other than the Perfect Human. He would never forget the face of Elyssa Libitina, who had somehow re-emerged from her deletion and was standing before him.

"I-Impossible. W-We deleted you! How are you here!"

"You know she can't hear you, right?" MC shot back with an amused sneer. "She's all the way up there. Honestly, I'm glad that she was exposed to the Breach like she was. Because of that, she could peer into the Breach at will and destroy whatever connections you've made there. And I don't even need to suffer my cooldown, either."

"S-Shit… what the hell?!" Wallace grumbled as he looked back at MC with pure spite in his eyes. "Damn you! Damn you both!

"My Stand Army! I command you to kill Mark Caulfield! I may not have my leashes on you yet, but if you don't comply…"

Wallace turned to the crowd, finally letting his budding anger show to every single one of them.

"I am going to kill every last one of you."

Shuddering at Wallace's sudden proclamation, the students brought their Stands out yet again, now ready to attack him. While that was happening, Wallace turned tail and started running away from them into the school. MC was about to leap over the podium to catch up with him but was then suddenly teleported to a grassy field. He widened his eyes in surprise as he found that the grass under his body was growing and snaking around his limbs, restraining him.

"Dammit, Day One!"

Manifesting his Stand, he managed to Rollback time by one second, just so that he can go free of the grass beneath him. Upon re-emerging, he quickly used his Stand as a platform to jump up higher and chase away from the blades of grass that were still keeping up with him.

And suddenly, he was on the paved floor once again while a wave of fire, a beam of light and blades of air began to approach him.

Regaining his senses as quickly as possible after the teleportation, he jumped up high to evade once again. However, he was quickly sent higher up from the resounding boom of the colliding attacks from beneath him.

Shaking his head through the impact, he looked around once again while in midair. He paled once he saw bullets homing in his direction. Yelling out loud, MC brought Day One forward once again and punched all the bullets away, ignoring the way his hands bled upon attacking speeding bullets.

Still jumping off of his Stand while midair, MC brought out his phone once more and yelled into it.

"Elyssa!"

The girl in question took off her glasses and looked at the pavement right below her from the roof.

And suddenly, the ground roared beneath everyone's feet.

By now, the courtyard was in a wild state of chaos. Everyone who wasn't directly involved in the fight, along with those who chose to ditch the fight despite what Wallace told them, were running away as fast as they could to save themselves. However, the rumbling of the ground only further enhanced the chaos as they were forced to fall down, turning the outgoing rush into a wild stampede.

"MC, this is all that I can do!" Elyssa spoke through the phone. "I will take care of those who are outdoors, but you must head into the building right now! Chase after Wallace! That is our priority at the moment!"

Gritting his teeth, MC fought gravity as he craned his body to leap off of Day One once again, ignoring the multiple projectiles closing in on him from behind. He could feel it all. The reverberations of the chaos in the air. The approaching clash of hot and cold searing his skin.

MC gripped the star-shaped birthmark on his left shoulder.

None of that pain mattered at that moment. He had a goal to accomplish, after all. Anything could be done about his injuries after his task was accomplished.

And despite that, MC couldn't help but wince as the projectiles slowed down from behind him, possibly from their users getting caught up in the earthquake beneath them.

Finally, MC managed to make it to the wall of the school building. Using Day One, he quickly busted a hole through the wall and stumbled into the hallway. He quickly turned back and saw that there were still a few attacks coming his way despite everything that was done to stop their users.

"Rollback!"

Turning back time, MC saw the rubble on the floor climb back up to the wall and reform as the projectiles started to move back. Once the wall was completely restored, and not a moment more, MC decided to shut off his Rollback while keeping his current location. He had to conserve the ability if he wished to use it continuously, after all.

Jittering through the hallway while ignoring the booming of the attacks on the wall beyond him, MC started to walk ahead.

Until the wall before him broke as well, revealing an incredibly familiar girl. A girl with an eyepatch stuffed into her pocket with a grimoire-like book open in her hand.

"Sachiko!" MC yelled out, making the user of Imagine Dragons blink in surprise.

Ignoring the way that Sachiko flew to him, MC quickly dove past her to the rubble that she had formed. Looking through the gaping hole, he saw another volley of projectiles making their way in.

"Rollback!"

This time, MC chose to extend the fingers of his Stand into what seemed like the leashes that he used in the Breach and have them touch every single piece of rubble on the floor. Focusing on the effects of the Rollback, he willed it so that only the rubble went back into place and nothing else. Time did not go back for anything other than the rubble before him.

'Wallace may be an asshole, but he has had much more experience with this ability. It should be alright if I steal a page from his book.'

Wincing as he heard the projectiles hitting the now reformed wall, MC turned to Sachiko.

"Listen, you don't remember, but we've met in another timeline," he explained. "You're free from Wallace. You don't need to fight me."

Sachiko, now turning back to see him once again, briefly frowned. "How can you prove that?"

"I wouldn't lie about something like this, not after how he deleted all my friends."

"W-Wait, you can remember?" Sachiko barely managed to ask. "The people he deletes are forgotten by everyone. How do you remember your friends?"

MC deadpanned at her. "Didn't Wallace say anything about me? I'm his alternate persona. I have the same Stand ability as him as well. That renders me immune to his effects."

"Oh…" Sachiko gulped as she regarded the boy in front of her, still keeping a hand on her book. "Did… Did he delete any of my friends?"

MC gulped for a moment but then nodded. "He did. Natsuki. She was one of my friends, too. Natsuki was the one who saved you from him, actually."

Sachiko lightly gasped at MC's remark. Casting her glance down, she gulped as she closed the book in her hands.

"I… I don't remember anything," she said. "So, I don't know if you're saying the truth. But I know that Wallace is a bad guy, while you are trying to do something about him. And I know that the good guys always win!"

Bringing up her Stand Book and showing MC the cover, she then yelled out her next words.

"That's why I'm going to help you! I'm gonna leave the Dark Side! I pledge my grimoire to your service!"

MC blinked in surprise. "Yep, Natsuki was right about you being an Otaku. Still don't get the Chuunibyou bit, though."

Surprisingly, Sachiko flashed him a toothy grin. "That means you're actually saying the truth! I knew that I could trust you!"

MC chuckled in turn as well, feeling the weight in his heart lighten as Sachiko skipped up to his side. "It's good to have you on our side again, Sachiko."

"Don't mention it, buddy!"

"My name's MC, by the way. And… thanks for helping me out."

"Got it!"

Reiko Haku frowned as he turned to his master beside him. "Sir, it seems that Kamiya betrayed us. Mark Caulfield has also made it into the premises."

Wallace's scowl deepened for a moment but then sighed. "I already expected her to do so. It was clear that she didn't value me, despite her incredible ability. I highly appreciate your input, Haku."

Looking around, Wallace noted the last two members of the Trifecta on his side and all of the other Stand Users that were travelling with them. Haku turned around to look at them as well, wondering what Wallace was going to say.

"I'm going to leave the school. Adachi, you're with me. Haku, you will lead the fight against Markie and kill him for good. If you can, kill Kamiya in front of him. Understood?"

"Yes sir."

As Wallace and Adachi-sensei made their way outside the school, Haku couldn't help but frown a little, wondering if he could have been anywhere else at this moment.

'No more negative thoughts,' Haku chided himself as he walked ahead, making sure that everyone else was following him. 'Wallace is the boss, so I must follow his orders, no matter what. That is the only way for me to get in his good graces.'

"How much do ya know about us?" Sachiko asked while she was flipping through the pages of Imagine Dragons. MC recalled that she was looking for a specific person in her book: Invisible Woman.

"Well, I know about the Trifecta," MC explained. "The one who the Want it That Way guy replaced was one of my friends who got deleted. Monika."

Sachiko jittered for a moment upon hearing that name. "That… that name is familiar."

"That's good to hear. Hopefully, you'll keep on seeing that I'm honest about this."

"I… I hope so. I just… I didn't expect having actual superpowers to be like this, ya know? To be this… terrible."

"Tell me about it."

However, before Sachiko could say anything else, MC unknowingly stepped on a sticker on the floor. Suddenly, an enormous grey hand cracked through the floor and wrapped around MC body, quickly tightening around him. Sachiko blinked in surprise and shot out a blue force field at the base of the hand, managing to cut through it. Managing to give MC some more breathing room, he reached out for Sachiko's shoulder and summoned his Stand once more.

"Rollback!"

Turning back time while dragging Sachiko back with him, he found that he was rendered safe from the grasp of a new Stand once more. Looking back at the hallway, he found that there was a corner up ahead. Looking to the side, he saw Sachiko nodding to him.

"We know you're there!" MC called out.

"I'm not surprised," Haku said, stepping out with about 5 other Stand Users with Want it That Way by his ear and a couple steel balls in his pocket, with one at the ready in his hand. "You were able to fight me and win in another world, after all."

MC sneered at him. "Leave it to the know-it-all to know events beyond time." Sachiko sniggered at MC's offhanded remark, while Haku scowled in response.

"Well, I'll have you know that knowledge is strength." With a gleam in his eyes, he used Chaos Drive on the steel ball in his hand again, forcing MC to remember his trauma at that familiar electric spinning technique. "Especially once it comes to me."

Before MC could blink, the ball in Haku's hand shot out to both of them, making them both yelp as they jumped to either side. However, as the ball went beyond their path it was surrounded by a green aura that shifted its trajectory midair.

MC cursed as the ball started homing in on him. Summoning Day One once more, he braced himself for impact, knowing that he couldn't dodge from the ball.

But he was saved from a blue shield formed before him, blocking the rotation of the steel ball. MC quickly broke through the shield with Day One and shattered the ball before it could hurt him.

"Sachiko…" MC muttered as he looked around for her to quickly thank her. However, she couldn't be seen anywhere.

'She had her book open on Invisible Woman, right? That makes sense, then.'

Before MC could think anymore about Sachiko's invisibility, he could hear the whiz of projectiles from behind him. Jumping away around, he noticed a flood of paper coming his way. However, the paper didn't bend in the wind. They held on to their rigidity as they travelled to him.

As MC guarded himself with Day One once more, another blue shield emerged in front of him. Deciding to trust Sachiko, MC quickly took cover behind the shield. However, he was quick to find out that the projectiles started to turn around midair due to the telekinetic glow around them. Not seeing a shield form before him in time, MC fought off some that came through while the shield wrapped around him soon after that.

However, before MC could sigh in relief, a person began to emerge from one of the collapsed pieces of highly rigid paper on the ground, grabbing onto MC's leg. Yelping in surprise as his leg was pulled into the paper-based portal, MC brought out his Stand's right hand once more.

"Rollback!"

Rolling back to the point before the paper could affect him, MC took a new path and jumped over the incoming paper before the new shield. However, the same telekinetic from earlier redirected the wave of paper upwards as some of the stickers included suddenly emerged giant-sized grey hands like MC had encountered earlier, all reaching for him.

"Sachiko, help!"

Just as he called for it, a blue force field emerged around his body, keeping him safe from the incoming projectiles while keeping him suspended midair. However, despite all the paper falling down freely soon after impact, another steel ball made its way onto the surface of the shield, digging into it as much as it could without relenting or dropping to the ground. MC was grateful that the shield didn't break.

"You two can be rather annoying together," Haku spoke up as he twirled his shoulders. "I honestly expected more from the girl with infinite potential, however."

As Haku nodded to his side, another man stepped up before him. Huffing for a moment and covering himself with a red Stand aura, he started to charge forward while bulking up, breaking through the walls intentionally as he built up speed.

'A juggernaut Stand?'

However, MC thoughts were broken once he noticed a spitball of all things hit the surface of the shield protecting him. And the moment it did so, the shield got cut in half, letting the steel ball and the wave of paper come through and attack him again.

Having no choice otherwise, MC used his Stand to attack the projectiles, ensuring that none of them got close to him as he fell. However, as he turned down, he found that another wave of paper was coming up from below him as well, bringing him into a pincer.

And suddenly, another shriek filled the air.

MC briefly took his eyes away from his situation to see Sachiko with her entire arm ripped off due to the Juggernaut's rampage.

"Shit!" MC cursed as he used his Stand to leap horizontally away from the pincer attack, aiming to reach Sachiko as soon as possible. However, while the paper and ball bent midair to trail him once more, the Juggernaut took note of his presence and stood guard over the girl as well.

Gritting his teeth, MC willed his Stand to throw himself to the floor, letting him shatter through the tiles and cement.

He had to bite down on his lip to hold back from screaming. It hurt. The sheer impact of his body on the floor was enough to almost render him unconscious, making his head spin from a newly gained concussion and with most of his limbs rendered unable to be moved.

However, his sudden shift in direction and his closeness to the Juggernaut Stand User rendered the incoming projectiles unable to shift paths. Instead, they hit the first thing in their path, which was the Juggernaut himself. Of course, the paper hadn't done much to faze him, but the steel ball managed to render him incapable of movement.

MC, despite his intense agony, wasted no time and willed his Stand to throw him forward, under the legs of the paralysed Juggernaut before him. He ignored the tears filling his eyes as he reached out to Sachiko, who was also holding up her lone hand to him as well.

Contact.

"Rollback!"

Not wanting to take any chances, MC sped up the Rollback to move all the way back. He went past how he had abruptly tossed himself to the floor, past the time when that one spitball shattered the shield protecting him, all the way back to when the first shot was fired, and the steel ball was coming their way.

And his Rollback timer ended, bringing him back to the real world once more.

Witnessing the incoming ball once again, MC immediately moved out of the way once more. However, Sachiko took a different approach this time, knowing that her old tactics hadn't worked.

She quickly flipped to her very first page and dove in the way of the ball. As it came in front of her, Sachiko easily knocked it to the side with her fist, gaining no repercussions.

"W-What?!" Haku yelped upon seeing Sachiko's nonchalance to his Chaos Drive. "How?!"

Sachiko merely smirked at them. "You made me use my trump card," she announced, holding up Imagine Dragons to reveal the iconic diamond-bordered S that she was currently mimicking. Their enemies couldn't help but shudder upon seeing the Superman logo.

"Good call, Sachiko," MC said, now walking to her side. "I still need to recharge my Rollback, so can you please take over for now?"

Sachiko grinned as she turned to face him. "Sure, I can!"

"Watch out for the spitballs. They can cut you in half. I don't know if anything can stop them."

"I'll burn them up before they can touch me, then!"

As Sachiko stepped up while MC moved back, the first one to rush after her was the one with the Juggernaut Stand. Immediately bulking up into a hulk, the man started to charge at the girl.

Sachiko, however, simply smirked as she regarded the incoming monster who trampled through walls like paper. Lifting one arm up and holding onto Imagine Dragons with the other, she guarded against the bulldozer of a man physically and stood her ground, even though the ground beneath her began to crack. Gritting her teeth, Sachiko managed to throw the monster away from her path by tossing him through the wall beside her.

Only to see a spitball coming in from behind the beast.

Blinking in surprise, Sachiko chose to use her enhanced speed to veer away from the spitball. However, seeing MC standing behind her at that moment, Sachiko decided to use her heat vision and burn up the ball before it hit anything.

Now turning back to the group before her with a scowl, she found that the short boy with a short man-bun and a straw in his mouth widened his eyes in surprise at the actions of the girl. Immediately he reached into another girl's pocket and pulled out a piece of paper from there. Speaking of, that same girl started to pull out the hordes of folded paper from her pockets and hand it off to another man by his side who turned them all solid through a single touch, doing the same with a boy who was handing him grey stickers. Finally, another girl glowed green as she telekinetically lifted the tiny projectiles and shot them all at Sachiko.

Sachiko would have simply taken the attack straight, but she remembered everything that happened before MC's Rollback. That meant that she had a brief idea about what everyone's abilities were.

That is why instead of taking them straight, Sachiko took in a deep breath and froze all of the incoming projectiles solid at once.

However, the block of ice didn't last for long as a Chaos Driven steel ball rammed through it, rapidly approaching the girl while sped up by the green glow around it.

Sachiko yelled as she attempted to punch the ball. However, before she could make contact, the ball deviated its path and started to spin around Sachiko's body.

"What's your game here?" Sachiko pondered out loud as she watched the speeding ball moving in circles around her. "You can't hurt me with this Spin, I thought I proved that."

However, as MC saw what was going on, he understood what was happening.

'Wait, she doesn't know about that effect that Chaos Drive has! Ataxia!'

"Sachiko, get out of there!" he yelled desperately as he ran up to the ball, attempting to stop it.

However, the sound of a stumble proved that he was too late.

Sachiko was kneeling on the floor, desperately trying to flip the page of Imagine Dragons over but to no fruit. Her muscles were all seized up due to the adverse effects of Chaos Drive, and her Kryptonian physiology hadn't done anything to stop it.

Gritting his teeth, MC yelled as he used his Stand to grab the steel ball, grunting as he felt the skin and muscle of his left arm twist and contort due to the Spin.

However, even though he was fighting through the effects of the Spin, he paled as he saw another object coming for Sachiko.

A spitball.

Yelling out loud, MC leapt over Sachiko's body while holding onto the ball, quickly shoving his right hand in the path of the spitball.

The spitball struck.

And a vertical line cut down through his whole right arm.

MC couldn't help but cry out as he felt his entire arm rip into two vertical halves. However, now that he deflected the spitball, he knew that everything was fine. Sachiko could still fight after all.

Because now that he was in front of her, he could drop the ball in his hand and flip her page over for her, letting Sachiko reach the Deadpool page.

Immediately regenerating from her injuries, Sachiko smiled at MC as she stood back up. "Don't worry, I'll heal you once I'm done here."

Grinning with a suppressed wince as he held on to his gushing arm, MC nodded.

Flipping back to her Superman page now that she was healed, Sachiko started to hover over the ground. In an instant, she zipped through the remaining ice by shattering through it. She rapidly began to knock out everyone there before they could attack her with their Stands once more. Aside from that, she ensured that most of their Stand sources were destroyed. The straw of the spitball boy was crumpled while all the paper was stolen from the girl who could phase through them and was burned up with a quick bout of heat vision.

The only one left before them was Reiko Haku himself, who was hysterically sniggering at the two.

"You… You actually won, haha! I can't believe it! I guess you live up to your expectations, huh?"

Sachiko scowled at his remarks, quickly balling her fists. "Damn you-"

"Why do you keep fighting for him?"

Sachiko stopped walking as she heard MC speak from across the hallway, barely able to keep his head up to face his enemy.

"You're free from Wallace. Elyssa made sure of that. Why… do you still serve him?"

"Because Wallace always wants what's best for us, of course!" Haku responded. "He's the strongest among us! He's going to protect us, no matter what!"

MC paused for a moment, then suddenly began choking.

Sachiko stumbled to him in worry. "MC, are you-"

"HAHAHAHA!"

Sachiko froze as MC slowly flipped around to face the ceiling as he heartily laughed his heart out.

"You… You can't be serious!" MC wheezed out, still being unable to move. "Your Stand can tell you everything! You can find out every truth! And you still believe that Wallace considers you guys first?"

Haku stood still at MC's remarks.

'Have I… ever heard the truth behind Wallace before?'

"Just use Want it That Way," MC said. "Ask it what Wallace truly cares about. Also, ask him if you are still leashed to him if you need confirmation about what Elyssa did. See if you really want to stick with him after you hear those answers. Oh, ask it about Gravity as well. Specifically, Gravity related to Stand Users."

Haku, not knowing how to take MC's questions, decided to sate his budding curiosity by asking his Stand those questions.

And once Want it That Way was done explaining to him, Reiko Haku had absolutely no idea what to say.

"I… finally see where you're coming from," Haku said. "Stand Users attract other Stand Users. That means that we Stand Users will never get a moment of peace, won't we?"

"Exactly," MC sighed out, easing further into his tile bed while making sure he didn't fall unconscious from blood loss by still gripping his cleaved right arm. "That's why I want to stop him. Stands are curses. And he's afflicted the entire school."

Sensing no more willingness to fight in either of the two boys before her, Sachiko decided that this would be a good time to head over to MC and start healing him.

"MC…" Haku muttered. "What makes you think that you'll be able to defeat him?"

"Ask your Stand."

And so, he did. Haku repeated his question to his Stand and ended up waiting until MC was completely healed before he could turn back to him once more.

"That… is a lot to take in."

"I know, right?" MC said as he finally stood up and rolled his shoulders, nodding to Sachiko in gratitude for her healing. "Wallace was born from me, so he won't be able to delete me."

"Wait, what's this bit about being born from you?" Sachiko interrupted them

"I mean, he can still kill you," Haku kept asking while ignoring Sachiko.

"I don't think he'd want to restrict his time travel like that. He wants to make sure that I never meddle in his life anymore. That means that the only way to do so would be to keep me off his back and away from him."

"Oh…" Haku gulped as he looked out the window as MC walked up to him. "Wallace… he's leaving the school."

"Huh?"

"He wants to run from you, MC. That's why he's trying to leave the school right now and ensure that you cannot catch up with him."

"I'm guessing that Adachi is with him?"

"You'd be guessing correctly. I still have no idea how you're going to get through that guy, honestly. His Stand is insane. Well, so is yours, I guess."

"We'll handle it however we can. Thank you for telling us this."

"Good to hear it. Are you two good to go?"

Looking back at Sachiko, he saw her nod at him, letting him know that she was ready.

"Yeah, we're ready."

"Great. He's at the gate right now. Your fastest way out is through here," he replied, pointing to the window in front of him. "I'll leave the honours to you."

Nodding, MC stepped up to the window.

"Day One."

Smashing through the whole window, MC immediately jumped out of the window and cleanly landed on the floor with his Stand supporting him. Sachiko flew down by his side while carrying Haku in her arms bridal style.

"Okay, everyone. Let's stop Wallace for good this time."

To be continued...

Brief List of Stands and their abilities. References not included due to laziness, however, they are all song titles. They can be looked up:

Grip: Stickers that bring out large hands that can act any way the user wishes to.

Sweet but Psycho: Telekinesis

Half a Song: Spitballs that can cut anything they touch in half. However, it only affects the first thing it touches. It can't cut molecules or atoms, though.

Papercut: Solidifies any object it touches and sharpens it.

Porcelain Face: Allows the user to use sheets of paper as portals.

Monster: Bulks up the user the faster they travel. Turns them into a Juggernaut.

Youngblood: Switches the user's position with another subject as long as their general position is known. Inspired by Todo from Jujutsu Kaisen.

21 Guns: Homing bullets. I know this is basically Emperor, don't sue me.

Green River: Controls and can exponentially grow plants.

I couldn't be bothered to name the rest.

A/N: Second last chapter out! Only one more to go!

You guys already know why this is taking so long, so I won't say anything more about that. Lucky for you guys, I actually have this week off. That's why I'm going to duke out the last chapter within this time. I still have my internship and some assignments to worry about, but I'll try to finish by this week. I don't know when I can do it once the week is up, anyway.

Even though this chapter was interesting, writing it was a huge pain. Coming up with all those Stands was irritating. Honestly, this was the only way to go forward. Making a whole Stand Army is something that Wallace would do, without a doubt. More than half of the school's population died due to that induction, by the way.

I still don't know if I've proofread it enough times (even though I did it thrice), so I might end up modifying this chapter later. I hope I don't, though. I also thought that this chapter would take longer, seeing how many fights are happening in it. It's still a good 6.5k, so that's alright.

Review!

DeathlyJazzHands55 (IzuOchaShipper99): I won't talk about Wallace's death for obvious reasons. I just hope it's good once I finally show it.

Anyway, that's it for now! I'll see you all next chapter!
