Yeah, yeah, don't be too shocked, this isn't an update. What's more to update in this story, I'm finished with MCBA. I mean, sure, it's due for a rewrite now that I can see all the blaring flaws after getting a start to finish view. It's the same issue every author finds with their first drafts. That being said, I'll have to see if I can rewrite this sometime in the future, for the sake of improving the story.

Now, I'd recently started to watch Ranking of Kings, and I do have to say that not only is it one of the best series that I've watched, it's even better for me as a writer. Why? It's beyond inspiring. Not in the sense that the characters can lift you up, I mean that seeing how every character in the story serves an important, irreplaceable role in the story can change your perception on what a story can become. I've probably forgotten what actual books were like after watching so much anime, and this one reminded me of what a good story should be. Not tons of fanservice, not forgettable side characters. This series can tell you that even a shonen plot as simple as a deaf, mute and physically weak boy aspiring to be the strongest king in the world can become a masterpiece as long as all the pieces fit together. Also, I'm listening to Hadaka no Yuusha (Ranking of Kings OP 2) on loop while writing this; if you're not gonna watch the series, I at least recommend this song.

As such, I am inspired by that series. I am writing Re: Teyvat right now, and I am applying that inspiration into it. However, I've also got another story in the backburner. You guys may be excited to hear that it is a continuation to MCBA.

Please welcome MC's Bizarre Adventure Part 2. That being said... it isn't gonna be JoJo's with DDLC, nor will it retain the MCBA title. I'm done with the DDLC aspect, and I may introduce the MCBA cast as cameos, but I will be writing a completely different story, where JoJo's is paired with another story. Think of it like how a new season of JoJo's will always feature a new protag and cast. I'll be following a similar pattern, but not only changing the cast, but even the crossover anime. Now you may be asking, which anime will I be using for this second part to MCBA?

I'm sorry to say it, but it's going to be High School DxD.

Now, before I get hate in the reviews for ruining this series by combining it with an ecchi anime like DxD, I should state what I see in the series to make it so worthy of this position. Since MCBA is based in the real world, I can't just throw in an isekai from somewhere and bring the Stand magic into another world. I prefer otherworldly fantasies over other series, so I prefer the ones that I can't quite use. And while I did watch Bleach, I haven't given it as much thought as DxD. Maybe I will when I get the time.

Now, onto my personal view of DxD. I hate it. Simple as that, I absolutely hate High School DxD. I've watched the whole anime for some unknown reason (Yeah, we all know the reason), but from a literary standpoint, it is outright garbage. Almost every antagonist is incredibly shallow, enough to make me name my favorite antagonist in this series as Diodora. Yeah, the guy that orchestrated the ruin of Asia's Holy Maiden life. Why? Precisely that. Diodora was the only one given a semblance of existence outside of his arc, and even then, he's still shit. I call him my 'favorite' because he's just a little better than the others, even though he's still as shitty. Not even a single antagonist made it into my good books. Oh, Raynare is at the same level too, mainly because she's not just forgotten in the future of the series. Loki would have been good if it weren't for the fact that he was hardly ever shown on the screen. And who in the world is Cao Cao, I've already forgotten about him. And don't ask me about the manga, I haven't read it and I don't plan to. I only know about ones like Rizevim and Trihexa due to fanfics.

And let's not get started on the harem characters. Sure, every member of Issei's harem (and Kiba) have a somewhat good backstory. But even then, there are characters that were just ruined, absolutely destroyed because the creator wanted them to be in the harem. Xenovia is the best example of this. There's so much to her, a person that was thrust away from the only family that she knew and accepted, forced to separate from her foster mother and best friend, all because she was forcibly told a forbidden truth. And what's the next thing she does? She strips in a broom closet and asks for Issei's babies. I am not joking here, I'm dead serious. This is actually what happens after she, an exorcist for the church, willingly becomes a devil after being excommunicated. It may seem funny, but it's insulting to her character. There are so many characters that aren't given enough justice because they were forced into this harem by the creator.

Now, that was a long rant, but I know the question on your minds. Why the hell am I making this monstrosity the base for my sequel?

Read that question again, and you may get it.

No? Okay, here you go. I will be taking the base only. I will keep the same DxD cast, and Issei will be the protagonist. Rias, Sona, and their peerages will be there. I'm definitely not missing out on Asia, the literal best character in the series. There may even be a Harem, who knows? But things will be different. I will apply all the changes I can to the series to make it better from a literary standpoint. I will add more life to the characters and make them bigger than simple walls that the protagonist has to climb over.

And why DxD? The base is actually an incredible one. That's the only area where I have to show respect to the creator. A young perverted boy's eyes are thrust open to the existence of religious figure such as devils, angels, fallen angels and other religious figures and gods, and also finds that he's born with a special power that makes him of value in the Devil group that he joins. Oh, and he becomes a devil himself too. This plot is actually a very promising one, and it was ruined by being turned into a fucking hentai. Safe to say that I won't do that, not ever. Maybe I'll include a sex scene or two this time, but it'll be a novel experience for me, so I'll have to see. In any case, it will never become the forefront of the story. I'm even reducing Issei's perverted tendencies to manageable levels from the beginning. He's no longer going to go through that weird and stupid anime thing where peeping in a girl's bathroom, normally a genuine criminal offense, results in a slap on the wrist from authorities.

Moreover, the story of DxD actually fits very well with Araki's world; no offense to JoJo's at all. JoJo's uses pretty strong religious influences, while DxD is literally religious, even if it bastardizes ever religion in existence. They fit pretty snugly, and I've got some good suspense in mind already.

Oh, and let's not forget the Stands. This is technically MCBA Part 2, after all. The classic Stand Club (Literature Club) will not be in this series, so I'm sorry for those who loved those characters. Even the new entrants to the club, the ones that MC went back in time with in the final chapter, will not be there. As such, this will be something that can still be understood without having read MCBA, although it would be better to read it first before the next one.

Now, if you're wondering if you need to watch an anime as crappy and brain-numbing as DxD to read this sequel, be relieved to hear that I won't put you through that. I'll do what I can to explain the plot in the story. I will be starting from the beginning, unlike with MCBA.

And for once, aside from Ascension, I will be writing a story that doesn't feature time travel. It's good to branch out like this, so I don't get too used to one writing style. If I want to become a writer in the future, this is an essential.

In any case, I haven't written the first chapter yet, so just keep an eye out for when it comes out. If you don't want to keep looking into the DxD fanfiction page to check if my story come out, I recommend following me as an author instead of just the story to catch my updates.

I know that some of you will be disappointed that we won't see the Dokis anymore, but that's just how life goes. Sometimes we have to let go of the things that we love if we want to keep moving forward. Doki Doki Literature Club, as harsh as it is for me to say this, serves no more purpose in this series. If I remain stuck on that, I won't be able to go forward. I'll just circle around the same plot over and over again, and I don't want that for you or myself.

I pray that this next job of mine goes well.

Okay, I can't end this note with 'I'll see you next chapter!' anymore. 'Next Story' won't work either, that's already used for this one. So, what do I use... oh! It's simpler than I thought!

I'll see you in the Sequel!
