Chapter 32 Post Crimson Mirelands Part 4

After arriving at Ursa's Ring, they find both Teddiursa and Ursaring in the area, and Serena asks, "Strange, why can't we see any Ursaluna around?"

"If you want an Ursaluna, you'll have to wait until the full moon." Adaman says. "Lucky for you, tonight is a full moon."

"Just great, we have to wait until it is night time." Ash mutters.

Serena is now having the Noble Ursaluna find the Peat Block on the ground, and they find it. Serena says, "So this is the Peat Block..."

"I wonder if we can find some more so I can send it to Lillie to research about it." Ash whispers to Serena.

"Maybe one day." Serena says.

After getting back to the Diamond Settlement, Adaman decides to bring them to Lake Valor. Serena asks, "Lake Valor, you said that this is where you attended Wallace Cup back in Sinnoh, right?"

"Yeah, Wallace asks me to attend the cup since he is interested in Buizel. As you can see, I have attended a lot of Pokemon Contests." Ash says.

"What are Pokemon Contests?" Adaman asks, and Ash replies, "They are much like Pokemon Battles, but instead of trying to defeat our opponent, people want to see the beauty and coordinating from both humans and Pokemon."

"I can't believe such a thing happens in the future..." Adaman says, "You know, now I'm curious if I can see the future that you mentioned."

"I'm not sure about that...we might be able to contact our families with Arc Phone, but we don't know how to get back to the future..." Serena frowns.

"That sure is a shame..." Adaman says.

They find Onix on the road and they decide to finish their research tasks, Ash says, "Another problem is that we don't have any Metal Coat around here..."

"We can't evolve Onix into Steelix...just great." Serena adds.

"And is that a Togetic in the air?" Serena asks as they notice the Pokemon in the air, Adaman asks, "Well that is a problem, how are you two going to research that Togetic if he is high in the air?"

"It's a good thing we have this." Ash takes out a Feather Ball and throws it, and much to Adaman's surprise, it captures the Togetic. "What was that Poke Ball?"

"It's called Feather Ball. We used it with Sky Tumblestones." Serena says.

After getting back to Jubilife Village, Ash, Serena, and Adaman are now at the Request board. Both Ash and Serena are surprised as Ash says, "Wow, there are four requests we need to do..."

"Let's all read it at once." Serena says. "Morel the mushroom hunter is curious about the mushroom growing on Parasect's back. Please assist him in investigating!"

"The next one...It seems that Pesselle, the captain of the Medical Corps, intends to make some medicine using Croagunk's poison. Find out what help she needs!"

"Here's the third one. Ren from the Security Corps is trying to think of battle strategies to use with his Pachirisu. Talk to the chap, and see what he needs!"

"And the last one. There's a Sudowoodo at the Bogbound Camp that seems to be feeling rather poorly. Odo, one of the chaps from the village, is doing his best to treat it, but he could use a bit of help!"

"Sounds like all four of them are pretty tough for you." Adaman says.

"Yeah, let's do the Parasect one first, I still remember this Morel guy. He was the one who gave us the recipe of Mushroom Cakes." Ash says.

Before leaving the Galaxy Hall, they also find a boy named Zeke who is panicking. "There you are! You're the ones, right? The ones they've all been talking about - the Survey Corps kids that've been exploring the Crimson Mirelands!"

"That's us?" Ash asks. "Is there something the matter?"

"My younger sister Wanda is in the Security Corps, you see, and she went to the mirelands, too- but she never made it back! You managed to track down that Arezu woman in those boggy mirelands, right? So could you find my sister Wanda, too?"

"Sure, we can help you with that. But do you have anything Ursaluna can smell?" Serena asks.

"You planning on using a Pokemon to find her? Hmm. Would her favorite kerchief maybe help?"

Ursaluna sniffs at the handkerchief and nods, and Zeke says, "I'm counting on you! Please find Wanda wherever in the mirelands she's ended up!"

"We will." Ash says as they leave the hall.

They find Morel at the second house right to the middle bridge, he says, "It seems some of my fellow mushroom enthusiasts are looking into a fungus that sprouts from the back of a certain Pokemon. Parasect is its name, I think. If you manage to catch one, I'd love to take it off your hands and do some research on my own. As a mushroom-foraging veteran for 20 years, I aim to keep my finger on the beating pulse of all fungal fact-finding endeavors, after all."

"Good thing we have another one." Ash says as he hands over the Pokemon.

"Mother of all fungi...Now this is a sizable shroom! I've never seen its like - not even back in Galar! This is a lovely mushroom and all, but where's the Parasect you promised me? You can't be saying...this mushroom is actually..."

"Parasect itself." Serena ends his words, and the Parasect just stands up and turns around. "The mushroom! I-it turned around! Er, no...no, you're saying this thing is a Pokemon, not a mushroom. And yet...Call it a forager's intuition, but 20 long years of picking tells me something is amiss... Yes, I'm sure of it. This thing that turned to look at me just now...It's definitely a mushroom!"

Ash, Serena, and Adaman just look at Morel with confusion, and he says, "Ha! Had you for a minute there! Please forgive my shroom humor...but could you imagine? To think - a Pokemon that's really just a mushroom! Such a thing is the stuff of fiction...right?"

Then he gives them 5 Candy Truffle as thank-you gifts, then they go to do the next mission, which they are heading back to the Galaxy Hall.

After finding Pesselle, she says, "Ah, you two are here for my request about Croagunk? A member of the Diamond Clan told me that they make medicine by diluting Croagunk's poison! Medicine made from Croagunk's poison can apparently relieve pain in the lower back. I'd love to have some to give Buck. The poor gentleman's bedridden from back pain. I know how to make the medicine, so all I need is some help getting my hands on Croagunk poison."

"This sounds like what Brock would do." Ash says as he takes out the Pokeball of Croagunk for Pesselle.

"So this is Croagunk! Got a charming little face, hasn't it?" Pesselle asks.

"And a tough Poison Jab which Brock has to endure a few times..." Ash thinks.

"I need a smidgen of your poison, please, Croagunk. Would you be so kind?" Pesselle asks, and Croagunk nods as the woman start to take the poison.

"Thanks very much! Now to whip up that medicine..." They also see how the medicine is made, Adaman says, "So this is how the Galaxy Team makes medicine...it sure is interesting."

"I know." Serena says.

"There we have it! This ought to be super effective." Pesselle says as she shows the medicine. "Pokemon come to our aid in surprising ways sometimes, don't they? I bet we'd be able to help an even greater range of people and Pokemon if we could set up some kind of...aid facility where Pokemon worked side by side with us."

"There are in the future, actually, we called it Pokemon Centers." Serena says to Adaman, who nods.

"Of course, we'll need to learn much more about Pokemon if that's ever to happen. I'm starting to think the Survey Corps' work will help us in ways people aren't even aware of." Pesselle is cut off by Buck, who is yelling, "Pesseeelle! My poor back! It's screamin'!"

"One moment! I've got a medicine that ought to be a great help." Pesselle yells back before turning back to them. "It looks like we'll have Buck up on his feet again thanks to you and Croagunk!"

They get 3 Full Heals and 3 Exp. Candy S as rewards, and then they go out to the Crimson Mirelands for the next request.

The only things left for the Crimson Mirelands are the Space-time distortions, Unown locations, Wisp locations, and the requests, I hope you like this chapter.
