This chapter is basically Gokaiger Episode 28 with a twist and will have Basco as the main character, the first half being written from his perspective.

I'm doing this mainly because I didn't understand the point of the Kiaido character, they could just use Basco or just another Action Commander, yet they made a whole new character just for the sake of the plot.

Speaking of the plot, I might write a full Leyenaristic Gokaiger story sometime sooner or later, where I try and rewrite the ENTIRE SERIES, not just a few episodes.

On rare moments like this where he was allowed on the Gigant Horse, Basco Ta Jolokia would usually partake in his own kind of fun, like teasing Warz Gill and almost getting killed on it.

But right now, he wasn't in the mood. "So, I 'eard Mr. Tin Can got a replacement fer me..." he drawled, keeping up the "cool guy" facade as he took leisurely steps back and forth.

"Who are you calling "replacement"?" Kiaido snarled.

Barizorg shushed him, and told the privateer "I hired him because he's the strongest bounty hunter in the whole entire universe. Also, he actually defeated Captain Marvelous in battle before."

"Oh, yeah?" Basco said, before sauntering over to Barizorg and then he put an arm around him as he declared "Old man Damaras, did ya hear that? Mr. Tin Can 'ere got 'imself another lackey as if 'e's completely forgotten about me!"

The Chief Of Staff remained quiet, unwilling to put up with the kaijin's antics. He was the one who hired Basco, true, but that didn't mean he had to cover for him.

Later on, they were left alone in the corridors, Basco put his mouth close to Kiaido's helm and whispered threateningly:"Marvey-chan belongs to me. Don't ya dare off 'im."

Kiaido let out a low growl. "We'll see." he said, and left the place, to presumably get the Gokaigers.

"Oh, this be sure gettin' interestin'." said Basco as he followed the bounty hunter.

Surely enough, Kiaido intercepted the Gokaigers on their way home, and sure, Marvey-chan seemed to recognize him. It would be fine if it ended there, but something seemed...strange. As if the presence of Kiaido alone had somehow paralyzed Marvey-chan with fear. As if Kiaido...owned Marvey-chan.

But that phase didn't last long. Basco watched as his precious Shezaran and the other pirates Gokai Changed and began shooting at Kiaido, only for the bounty hunter to catch all of their bullets.

"Weak...so very weak." said Kiaido as he began attacking the Gokaigers, saying that if they were this way, he couldn't have fun. The pirates tried Gokai Changing into the Biomen and the Maskmen, but they still got their asses beat and Marvey-chan was especially struggling. What was worse, Kiaido seemed to get a boner from beating up Marvey-chan. Unable to stomach the sight, Basco placed five Ranger Keys in his special trumpet Rapparatta and brought the weapon/instrument to his lips but as he was about to toot it, something unexpected happened. Kiaido let the pirates go.

It took some time for Basco to recover. He decided to take a walk, still processing everything that had happened when he noticed Marvey-chan, Hime-chan and the Earth boy from a distance. They were up against a man on a motorcycle, who bested them like it was nothing and took their Mobirates away. All the while, the Earth boy looked puzzled as if he couldn't see the man on the motorcycle. "Don't you go looking for the Jetmen, right?" said the man, before walking away from them and towards the privateer.

"Hello!" said the man. "Or should I say "ollo"?"

"Well, ahoy to ya too." said Basco. "Me name's Basco Ta Jolokia. And ye're...?"

"Gai Yuuki." the man told him. "What's the matter with you? You look quite angry and confused." With that, he grabbed the brunette by the hand and hauled him off to a bench. "Here, you can tell me everything."

"I...I actually 'ave issues wi' that there bounty-hunting scurvy dog that there showed to the sky." Basco confessed. "Mr. Tin Can told me that there 'e once faced off wi' me Marvey-chan an' from what I've witnessed, 'e sure made 'im get a-scared of 'im, somethin' only I be allowed to do. It brings me satisfaction when I be Marvey-chan's only worthy opponent, the only one Marvey-chan's a-scared of." Basco confessed.

Gai Yuuki sighed. "Looks like you're really possessive of GokaiRed, Basco-kun!"

"Just...just promise me that there ya won't tell a soul." said the privateer.

"Don'tcha worry about that, Basco-kun. As long as you don't stick your nose into the Jetmen's business. All I can tell you is, if you have a contender for GokaiRed's hate, then get rid of him. I believe in you." Gai Yuuki replied, then got up and walked off, grumbling "No, Gai, pull yourself together, what the heck are you doing? Giving animosity advice to someone who's clearly a badun, and on top of that, telling him that I believe in him..."

The night was late. Marvelous was venting his frustration on the poor trees, when suddenly, the man from earlier showed up and asked Marvelous "Hey, whatcha doin' this late?"

"Gai Yuuki..." the Shezaran growled. "Give back our Mobirates!"

"Nevah." Yuuki replied. "I believe you know the reason. Right now, you're not fit to fight. You run around claiming that you're a hotshot pirate, when in reality, you're just a wimp. It's pretty pathetic when I think about it, Craptain Marvelous."

"Bullshit! I'm not a wimp!" Marvelous yelled, grabbing Yuuki by the collar.

"You're such a child." Yuuki said calmly. "You can't even accept your own weaknesses. Right now, you couldn't even use the Greater Power of the Jetmen." He then turned and walked away, Marvelous hot on his tail.

The captain found Yuuki in front of an unfamiliar place, and saw the man disappear before a memorial site. He read the letters on the headstone. "Gai Yuuki?" Yes, it was unmistakable. "What the juice?"

"I knew it...he was dead after all." said a familiar voice, another Gai he knew. He was followed by Joe, Ahim, Luka and Doc, all of them saying stuff like "No way" and "I can't believe it" and "That's impossible".

"These must be from the other Jetmen!" Gai exclaimed, looking at the gifts laid out in front of the headstone. "I guess they visit here every day. I think I know why Yuuki-san doesn't want us to get in contact with the other Jetmen. He must have loved them all very much and they must have loved him back. He wanted to protect them from being involved in all this, since after so long, they finally were able to enjoy a normal life!"

Hearing Gai's words, Marvelous seemed to have a realization.

Gai Yuuki, as a specter, stood in front of Kiaido and the Gormin that he had brought right under a road bridge. "Oh, so you've come to amuse me as well?" asked the bounty hunter.

"You betcha." replied the specter. "I guarantee, you're gonna have so much fun that you're gonna cry."

"I don't care who you are, as long as you're strong." said Kiaido.

Yuuki defiantly faced the charging Gormin, as he began fighting them, actually putting up a good fight. He then turned into Black Condor and took down all the Gormin, and was about to face Kiaido when he was stopped by a familiar "Ahoy!"

"Basco-kun?!" Yuuki said, surprised.

"Let me take it from 'ere." said the privateer. "I took yer words to me heart an' decided to take 'im down."

"Alright!" said Yuuki, and vanished, presumably to find the Gokaigers.

Basco drew his enchanted sword, Caliblade, and told Kiaido "I do not exactly know what 'appened after I left the Red Pirates, but we both seem very busy so let's cut out the middle-man an' get this here o'er with quickly."

"So be it then. Amuse me." Kiaido said, drawing his own sword. They crossed steel, metallic sounds resonating throughout the place, both of them moving like quicksilver. However, Basco was no match for the enhancements Insarn gave Kiaido, and got beaten down.

"You do not know how to take things seriously, do you? You're too weak for my own good. I'm starting to doubt the Zangyack's reasons for hiring you." Kiaido sneered.

"Excuse me, what did ya just say?" Basco asked, spitting out a mouthful of green blood. "Ye be in fer a world o' trouble as we speak. That there before been just foreplay, an' now? I be fixin' to hit ya wi' everythin' I got. I'll show ya me true self, which I 'aven't shown anyone up until now."

A red aura engulfed the privateer, and when the haze lifted, the beautiful brown-haired youth was gone, in his place stood a terrifying, monstrous being covered in red armor that was somehow reminiscent of a classic iteration of a pirate, but at the same time, nuanced enough to be identified as an Acheronian Kaijin.

Why do I feel so unsettled? Kiaido thought, but another part of him was further agitated at the fact that he actually got to fight an Acheronian Kaijin, despite knowing that doing it was basically suicide.

And the fight was on.

No, was it even a fight anymore? Kiaido was bewildered at how fast Basco moved, just like a streak of living lightning, dodging all his attacks and dealing fatal wounds at each strike. Nothing Kiaido did seemed to affect Basco. The bounty hunter was unable to feel any "fun" from this whole ordeal anymore, all he felt was fear.

Something's wrong. I fought lots of opponents before, hulking masses of men, specialists in martial arts, and those with powerful weapons. And I always won. There was no one in the universe who could take on me and win. I was special, the strongest bounty hunter in the whole entire universe, he thought.

But what am I experiencing right now? It's as if I'm trapped in a nightmare. I can't believe this is happening to me, it's like I'm fighting air. I'm in a lone struggle. He's a wall, and an insurmountable one at that.

Is this the true power of an Acheronian Kaijin?

Basco seemed to smile. "So long, matey." he said, then raised Caliblade, the sword glowing red.

A scream filled the air.

The Gokaigers arrived at the road bridge, led by a resurgent Marvelous who had conquered his own fears, expecting Kiaido to be there. But all they saw of Kiaido was his mutilated corpse, his blood all over the place. His limp hand was held by a humanoid monster clad in pirate-like armor, holding a sword covered in blood.

"Who the heck are you?!" Marvelous yelled.

"Aw, Marvey-chan, be I that unrecognizable to ya? I'm a bit disappointed." said the monster.

"Marvey-chan?" said the other five, while Marvelous went wide-eyed. There was only ever one person in the universe that called him Marvey-chan.

"Basco..." said the red captain, realization hitting him like an asteroid.

"Aye, 'tis me, luv. This here be the real me. The reason why even AkaRed been afraid o' me. Did y'all think I earned that three million Zagin bounty by just cookin' on the Galleon?" said the kaijin.

"Why...why did you kill Kiaido?" Joe asked, a bit scared.

"Oh, the reason's simple. 'E dared to lay 'is filthy hands on what's mine." Basco chuckled.

"No matter. We'll take you down!" said Marvelous, as he and the others sans Gai pulled out their Jetman Ranger Keys.

"Gokai Change!"

"Je~tman!"

In heaven, Gai Yuuki and the goddess who gave him a chance watched the mayhem unfold from beneath. "Ouch. Basco-kun sure needs to take it easy." said Yuuki.

"Aw, what can we say? He's a badun." said the goddess, then revealed a set of cards. "Straight Flush. Looks like I win this time."

"Sorry, because mine is a Royal Straight Flush!" said Yuuki, revealing his own set of cards. "Y'know, I didn't expect a deity to be this bad at card games."

The Goddess smiled. "I just wanted to hear you play the saxophone one more time. If you would mind...?"

And Yuuki complied, his mellow sounds accompanying the battle down below while the Gokaigers, as the Jetmen, were getting their butts kicked.
