~Part 2:Goin' The Extra Mile~
"Wowzers!" Gai exclaimed, as he and his crew was led to the conference room of the Gigant Horse. "I can't believe we're actually in the enemy mother ship!"
"Silence." Insarn said, shushing the human.
"Anyway, can you tell me how you met Laila-san?" asked Gai.
Too many thoughts crisscrossed the Kartan's head. She needed to find a way around the whole situation without blowing Laila's cover. "I...um..."
Just then, Doc spoke up. "Lemme guess. When you first came to Earth, you and she fought and then you captured her, doing a buncha strange experiments on her, and then tried to brainwash her into becoming your loyal minion but she managed to escape and developed an intense hatred for you, and that soon developed into a symbiotic relationship, in which one can't continue on without the other, just like Marvelous and..."
"Shhhh!" said Luka, putting a finger to Doc's mouth.
"How'd you know?" said Insarn, deciding to go along with it.
"Well, they don't call me Doc for no reason." said the Veruvian.
As they arrived at the conference room, they found Warz Gill and Damaras waiting. The Chief Of Staff handed the six Gokaigers Letters Of Marque, and they all signed. "Remember, this alliance is only temporary, so once we win against the Neo Baranoia Empire, those letters will lose effect. Each of you will have a Zangyack officer assigned to you, for the time being." said the prince, in an I-can't-believe-I-really-have-to-do-this voice before shaking hands with Marvelous.
"Your Highness." Joe managed to squeeze out, repulsed by the fact that he once again had to work with the Zangyack. "May I choose the officer I wish to be partnered with?"
"Oh, you can!" said Warz.
"I choose Barizorg." Joe said. Although he would never again feel the camaraderie he once shared with Sid, he would have at least a pale imitation of it.
Warz almost wanted to tell him off on it, but swallowed down the feeling. "Request granted." he said.
And as if the prince's feelings affected Earth's weather, it began to rain even harder on the green planet.
"Don Dogoier, you will work with Insarn. Your inventing skills are on par with hers, so we can easily win this war with both of your brains combined." Warz told Doc, and said engineer flinched when the Kartan ambled over to him and stroked his cheek suggestively. Gai saw this and sent Insarn a death-glare, only to be brushed off.
The pink female Sgormin saw Ahim and Luka, then crushed the both of them in a bear hug, saying "Eep! They'we so cuuuuuuute! Can I keep them, Youw Highness? Pweeeeeeeease? Pwetty pwease? Pwetty pwease with sugaw on top and whipped cweam and those wittle chocowate spwinkles? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"Well, if you like them, I'll assign you to both of them." said Warz. "Now we only have two left..."
"I choose Basco." At those words, everyone turned to Marvelous.
"But Marvelous-san..." said Gai, a bit let down.
"You know why, Gai." replied the Shezaran, then addressed Warz. "Since we're both privateers for the Zangyack now, I believe this is the best time for us to get...reacquainted with each other, Your Nibs."
"I guess that leaves only me." said Gai, as he felt Damaras's eyes on him.
"Nuh-uh. Not a chance." said Warz, noticing it.
LATER...
"I have no idea how to feel about this." said Gai as he slumped next to Laila.
"Well, maybe I could be your partner(aibou)!" the half-Engine told him. "Besides, it would be better to have a Harbinger Of Justice as your partner than a Zangyack officer, right?"
"Right." replied the human.
Laila gave Gai's hair a ruffle, then excused herself before hiding behind a wall and sending a message to Warz. "Your Highness, I will be GokaiSilver's partner."
"Do as you wish." Warz said.
"Hey, everyone!" said Ahim. "The Ohrangers contacted us. Apparently they're just as mad about this whole Neo Baranoia situation."
So the pirates and Laila met up with the Ohrangers at the UAOH base. "I knew it!" exclaimed Yuji Mita, the former OhBlue. "We shouldn't have spared him when he was a baby..."
"The thing is, last time we saw him, he was in the good hands of Gunmazin." said Goro.
Just then, a transmission came in. "It's from Buldont II!" said Momo.
"It's been a long time, Ohrangers. And is that pirates I see?" said the Neo Baranoia Emperor as he appeared on a screen.
"You bastard!" Yuji yelled. "What did you do to Gunmazin?!"
"Oh, so you lot have no idea..." Buldont II chuckled. "All those years, I grew up believing myself to be Gunmazin's child. It wasn't until Acha and Kocha accidentally revealed my true name, and my parentage that I realized that I was the heir to the Machine Empire of Baranoia. So I trained, trained, and trained to reclaim the throne that could have been mine if you Ohrangers hadn't intervened. During my conquest through space, I discovered the leftovers of the former Baranoia Empire, and an AI named Akita. I reprogrammed him to fit my tastes and now he's the main controlling mechanism of my armada. Half my victories wouldn't have been possible without him. Goro turned to his nakamas, and the Gokaigers. "You heard that? Now, let's go to work."
"We can't fight as Ohrangers right now, but we'll do our best to support you." added Juri Nijo, the former OhYellow.
Suddenly, the door opened and a young UAOH officer burst in. "I believe I can help with that." he said.
"Mikio-kun!" exclaimed Goro.
Mikio smiled, addressing the Gokaigers. "I developed weapons for all of you, utilizing the Super Civilization's power. Here, follow me." So, the pirates followed Mikio to the UAOH's weapons cache. Waiting for them were six ancient-looking yet very futuristic weapons. "Marvelous-san, this is for you." said Mikio, handing the captain a silver whip-sword with a red handle.
"Sweet!" exclaimed Marvelous.
Mikio revealed a pair of rapiers. "Those are for Joe-san."
Joe picked up the rapiers. "Hmm. Light."
"And now...Luka-san!" Luka's weapon was a yellow hand-held cannon.
"Er...uh...great...thanks." The Novian scratched her head.
Doc tried the remaining three—a silver scythe, a pink gun that doubled as a bladed weapon, and a green crystal knife before settling on the knife. "I think this suits me."
"Try it out!" said Mikio with fireproof gloves on, holding up a thick slab of wood.
Doc scraped the tip of his knife against the slab, then suddenly, green flames erupted from the point, leaving nothing but ashes.
"Wow, Don-san, that's amazing!" Gai exclaimed.
"With this, you can deal quite the amount of damage." Mikio explained, then handed the gun to Ahim. "Same goes for you with this."
"Thank you, Mikio-san!" said Ahim.
"Well, I guess that leaves only me." said Gai as he took the scythe.
They all posed with their new weapons. "Alright, Chouriki Pirates is a-go!"
Outside, it was still raining. The Gokaigers received a message from Warz to meet their respective partners at specific locations, sans Gai since his partner Laila was already nearby.
The pirates scattered, leaving Gai and Laila. Joe met Barizorg at a dark alley. "I only assist you because my boss told me to." said the cyborg. "Whoever this Sid person is, I am not him."
"I don't care." Joe said. "To be able to fight by that person's side, even if it's for this once..."
Ahim and Luka were at a flower-filled park, waiting for their assigned officer to arrive. Then they saw the pink female Sgormin running over to them. "Hi, pwetty piwates! Sowwy fow the long wait!" she said.
"It's fine!" said Ahim as she patted the Sgormin's head. "By the way, are there more like you or...?"
"No." said the female Sgormin. "I was an accident. Natuwawwy, aww Sgowmin awe supposed to be boys since they were manufactuwed fwom a singwe stwand of DNA but fow some unknown weason, I was bown a giwl."
Luka contemplated the situation for a moment, then came to the conclusion that "Since you're unique, you need a name! What would be perfect? Marie? Thea? Lukana?"
"Jeanne." said Ahim. "I wish to call her Jeanne."
"That's a nice name!" Luka exclaimed. The female Sgormin seemed to like it too.
Doc and Insarn were having a little conversation at a coffee shop. The owner, a nice lady named Airi Nogami, seemed to tolerate the presence of two non-humans, claiming "she's been there". They both had no idea what she was talking about, but decided to continue on their talk nonetheless. "You're pretty cute." said Insarn, ruffling Doc's soft golden curls. "I believe you'll make quite the bed mate."
"Sorry, but I don't like women, not in that way." said Doc.
Insarn grinned. "I don't care."
Silently, Doc cursed Warz Gill for pairing him up with a pervert like Insarn. However, he wasn't faring any better than what Marvelous was experiencing.
Right now, the captain was in an observatory with Basco, regretting every second. The whole situation was a mistake. He had put his feelings before his feelings when he was aboard the Gigant Horse, hanging on to Warz's every word, and now, he was stuck with his worst enemy for the rest of the war.
~cue ominous Western duel music~
"Just because I'm here with you, don't make the assumption that I still love you." said Marvelous, trying his best to appear unfazed as he and Basco eyed each other from the opposite sides of a pit that contained a spinning top.
"I know ya do, Marvey-chan." grinned the brunette, walking over to Marvelous's side, then taking his hand. "E'er since yer machine companion snatched ya away at the Stella Maris, I wanted a continuation. So...shall we dance?"
"Hmph." Marvelous snorted. "Like I'm gonna willingly do that with you."
"Yer mouth says no but yer body says otherwise..." Basco said suggestively, one hand snaking around the raven-haired youth's waist. "C'mon, I know ya enjoyed it. Also, remember our time when we were both in the same team? Ye an' I used to dance whenever we felt like it."
Marvelous blushed. "Okay, fine." he wheezed out.
And that was how they ended up inside a planetarium, watching a small corner of the universe unfold before their very eyes, with some magic sprinkled in. Stars, planets, galaxies. The two pirates floated into the projected sea of stars, then landed on a white nebula reminiscent of a cloudy surface, their hands linking together, feet retracing old steps. This time, it was far from the whirlwind of passion that had happened aboard the Stella Maris, more like the old, quiet, blissful moments during the time of the Red Pirates.

Joe was spread-eagled on a bed, a purple-and-blue shadow looming over him. "You've been such a naughty boy." purred a female voice. "I heard rumors that you and your Sid-senpai were perhaps more than friends...?"
As the shadow slowly climbed on top of him, a smile crept over Joe's lips. The shape was unmistakable. This was a Paleyan Kaijin, a species known for their militaristic nature. And still, Joe could recognize her anywhere, even if she was mingled within a buncha similar female kaijins from Paleya. This was General Zura Chirclatia, his superior, his lover, his one and only mistress, with a capital M.
"You really thought I would do anything that would upset my general? No matter what they say, I'm a straight man who loves women. Rumors are just rumors." Joe said, smirking.
"That's the Lieutenant Gibken I know." Zura smirked, lowering herself onto his member and beginning to move on his rhythm on top of him, her glorious large breasts bouncing up and down as they loved and loved again, Zura's sweet moans and Joe's grunts reverberating throughout the room.
The young lieutenant was so deep in his ecstasy, he did not notice the shadowy hands creeping around his throat. "Zura?"
The Paleyan Kaijin's expression turned sinister. "I'm sorry, Joe. You're perfect, both as a paramour and a toy, but as a soldier...you need practice."

"Another nightmare?" asked Ahim as she entered.
"Before the day she left for that hazardous military operation, we had a falling out." said Joe. "After her, I became afraid of love, and lost my trust in all women. Of course, you and Luka are exceptions."
"Oh, so that's why you tried to avoid Laila-san like the plague!" Ahim exclaimed.
"That, and she was being such a creep." Joe said, nodding.
"Afraid of love..." Ahim muttered.
Suddenly, Joe's Mobirates began ringing. He picked it up, and Doc's voice came from the other side. "Hey! Great news. After hours of work, Insarn and I finally made something that can disable the Neo Baranoia AI!"
"That's great!" exclaimed Joe. "What's it called?"
"The Glutton Virus."
"Buldont II's biggest mistake was revealing the existence of the AI," Doc said, while informing his nakamas and their designated partners about the "Glutton Virus" as they all gathered aboard the Galleon.
"Hey, everyone, we've got a transmission incoming!" Navi said as she flew in, and the Galleon's main screen came on, revealing Damaras's face. The Mechanian began informing everyone about today's plan.
"The Neo Baranoia Flagship looks like this." said Damaras, showing everyone the holographic image of what was basically a flying palace. "Ishihara, Ikari, your roles are to assist Gibken and Barizorg in clearing the path for Dogoier and Insarn to get to the AI chamber and plug the Glutton Virus in. Millfy, Princess De Famille, you and your Sgormin will divert the security from their posts so the others can get in more easily. Basco, Marvelous, your roles are to assassinate Buldont II himself."
Everyone nodded. For this one occasion, long-time enemies joined forces to eliminate a bigger threat.
As everyone prepared for the upcoming battle, Laila felt her thoughts wander elsewhere.

My headcanon is that while Acheronians are like Klingons but without the whole honor code, Paleyans are more like Andorians.
Also, I'd think of the same (voice) actor for Laila and Zura (i.e, Yuria Haga) except that Laila uses "ore" and Zura uses "watakushi" when they're referring to themselves.
