Chapter 76 World Saving Part 3
Ash, Serena, Adaman, Irida, and Lian arrive at the Primeval Grotto, the place where Ash and Serena caught an alpha Probopass, they enter the cave and they notice some fossils lying on the ground and some stones which are glowing red.
"What a curious cave. I feel some extraordinary power here - as if the world itself was created in this very place." Irida says. "What do you think, Lian?"
Lian thinks for a while and says, "Taking into consideration my knowledge of ores, my skill at mining, and the strength of my Sliggoo's moves...I think you'd better leave any extraction work up to us, wouldn't you say?"
"Please do so, Lian." Serena replies.
But just before they can do so, they hear a voice that they really don't like to hear. "We're going to have to ask you to stop right there."
The Miss Fortunes are now in their way again as Ash and Serena groan, while Adaman and Irida roll their eyes. During their travels to capture Pokemon, they would either find one of them and have to be forced to battle them, even though they might drop a lot of Soft Sands and Big Nuggets on the way, Ash and Serena feel like they are just another Team Rocket.
"Oh, come on...We don't have any time to waste with you guys..." Adaman says.
"Look, you can carry on digging out that treasure you're after. And then you'll give it to us." Charm says.
"Like we will give it to you!" Ash says as Pikachu's cheeks are sparking.
"I don't know why you even look surprised. It's not as if you were hard to follow." Coin replies.
"That's because you guys keep stalking us." Irida mutters. "What we seek may be as precious as treasure, but this isn't about how valuable it is - we need it to restore this awful sky to normal!"
"Ugh. That earnest goody-two-shoes act of yours is what made me leave the Pearl Clan in the first place!" Coin says.
"Enough. I don't care why any of you ran off to play bandit. But I won't let you get in Lian's way." Adaman yells. "There are three of you and five of us. Let's go. I'll take care of Clover. Irida, you with Coin. Ash and Serena? You take Charm."
"Who are you to boss me around?" Irida rolls her eyes. "But fine, I'll listen to you this time."
Adaman sends out his Umbreon while Irida goes with Espeon, the two of them are now fighting Clover's Abomasnow and Coin's Toxicroak. As for Ash and Serena, they are facing Charm and she says, "I bring good luck to my sisters wherever I go - and ill luck to anyone who crosses our paths. I'm the eldest, and I'll be your unlucky Charm. Especially in this: the battle of a lifetime!"
"I wonder why do those villains like to say a lot of stupid things..." Ash mutters. "A true villain would just act before they talk..."
"I agree." Serena says as they go with Floatzel and Weavile to battle her Rhydon and Gengar. Ash says, "Serena, you and Weavile handle the Gengar. I'll handle Rhydon."
"Okay." Serena nods.
Ash's Floatzel goes with Aqua Jet to slam Rhydon, causing it to roar in pain. Rhydon goes with the Rock Slide, making it flinch a little, but Floatzel goes with the Ice Punch, knocking the Pokemon out with ease.
As for Gengar, Weavile gets hit by Hypnosis, causing it to get drowzy, but Weavile lands Icy Wind to make Gengar frostbitten, and then finishes with a Night Slash.
"Well, you are rather formidable..." Charm sighs, then they also notice how Adaman and Irida knock out all of their opponents' Pokemon. Adaman says, "Come on, Clover...Why not come back to the Diamond Clan? Times are changing. We're changing. And we could really use someone as strong as you are."
"Are you joking? I've got no interest in living back in that place, with all its stupid rules!" Clover yells back.
Coin adds, "Look. We'll let you keep your treasure this time. But you'd better do something about that sky."
"You are as strong as ever, Ash and Serena...Maybe you really can do something about that monstrous creature at the top of the mountain." Charm says. "But even if you do, the next time we meet, you won't escape without a beating! Remember that!"
Then they throw Smoke Bombs and leave without a trace, Adaman sighs, "Honestly, those three...What did they even come here for? Oh well. I'll heal up everyone's Pokemon."
While Adaman is healing up their Pokemon, Irida frowns, "The Coin that I remember never hesitated to help someone in need, even if she groused as she did so. I suspect they may have been...worried about us. Perhaps even wanting to help."
"Then they should've just said so! What a pain they are, hiding behind all that attitude..." Adaman mutters.
Lian says, "We should stop wasting more time." He has Sliggoo use Iron Head on the surface, causing some other rock formation on the surface to fall to the ground, revealing red stones. Lian also takes out his ax and starts mining.
"The movements...they sure look just like him." Ash says. "Clay, the Driftveil Gym Leader."
"I don't think I know who you are talking about, but I guess so." Serena says.
After Lian puts some stones into the bag, he says, "I was able to extract some of that "Origin Ore," or whatever it is you wish to call it. I suppose it had better go with you, Ash and Serena."
Ash takes a bag of some Origin Ore, and Adaman says, "That was surprisingly easy."
"No, you simply fail to recognize my skill. You ought to be praising my hard work! Honestly." Lian mutters.
"I knew we could count on you, Lian! No wonder Kleavor recognizes you as a worthy warden!" Irida cheers.
"Let's hurry back to Mr. Professor and show him what we got." Adaman says as they nod. "That Laventon's got sound judgment, plus the knowledge to space, despite his silly streak!"
Then they rush back to the Summit Camp and find Professor Laventon, after showing him the stone, he says, "So this is the "stone of creation's beginning"...The Origin Ore... Mhm, yes, one can certainly feel an imposing aura emanating from it...Could this be...the feeling of the very origin itself?"
"I've been meaning to ask since you brought that up, but...the origin of what exactly?" Adaman asks.
"Of everything, by the sound of it." Irida says.
"Exactly, my girl." Laventon says. "Now then, back we go to Jubilife Village!"
Everyone rushes back to the Galaxy Hall with the Carriages, and then they go to Laventon's lab and place the shattered Red Chain on the table. Adaman says, "All right, Mr. Professor. It's all in pieces now, but this is what's left of the Red Chain."
"Splendid! Even in pieces, I think we'll find it's still perfectly fit for purpose." Laventon says. "We're jolly lucky you had the foresight to pick up all these broken bits back at the temple!"
Akari turns to Ash and Serena, "Your turn. Next comes the stone of creation's beginning."
Ash puts the bag of the Origin Ore on the table, and Laventon says, "The fragments of the Red Chain, collected at great personal risk by the Diamond Clan...Then the stone of creation's beginning, which we only learned of thanks to the Pearl Clan...And now it is time for the Galaxy Team to play its part and turn these items into a proper vessel."
He turns to Akari and says, "Akari, my girl. You are one of our team's greatest craftspeople. Could I ask you to do the honors?"
Akari nods and says, "This is my true battlefield. Even if it may be safe indoors."
"This may take us some time. Perhaps the rest of you had the best wait outside while we work." Laventon says.
Ash and Serena nod as they all head outside. Then Ash and Serena decide to speak with Palkia again. Ash says, "Palkia. I want to ask you something. Serena and I have been thinking about your words, but we find something strange about it. If Dialga has gone mad because of the special power, why haven't you also gone mad?"
"What do you mean, chosen?" Palkia asks.
"I mean...the fact that you come to the same place as Dialga right now, you were also acting almost the same like Dialga before we used the Red Chain on you." Ash says. "So I want you to tell me the whole truth."
Palkia sighs and says, "What I said wasn't actually wrong, but I could also feel the same power trying to affect me. Maybe I also created those frenzy Noble Pokemon or Alpha Pokemon, just that I didn't know."
"Just great..." Serena says. Palkia says, "To tell you the truth, I want to save Dialga as well, even if it means using my full power."
"Full power? What do you mean by that?" Ash asks.
"Giratina wasn't the only one who has Origin Forme and Alter Forme. We also have our Alter Formes, and I know for sure Dialga would be into that state once we fight."
"Palkia's Alter form? I have never seen it before..." Serena says.
"Me neither." Ash says.
After Palkia goes to rest, Adaman mutters, "Come on, Mr. Professor...Wish they'd hurry it up in there..."
"I'm starting to suspect all your prattling about the value of time is a cover for your own impatience." Irida mutters.
"If sitting back and waiting actually solved things, I'd sit forever - because that'd be using time well, unlike this." Adaman says.
"We've done it, Ash and Serena! It's complete!" Laventon rushes towards them, and he says, "I dubbed it...the Origin Ball! If the message conveyed to our good clan leader can be believed, then this should allow you to catch the Pokemon that has appeared at the Temple of Sinnoh!"
As they look at the Origin Ball, Ash says, "I think this looks like Cherish Ball...but whatever..."
"These Poke Balls of yours are full of wonders." Irida says. "To think the fate of all Hisui could rest in something so tiny..."
"It's interesting how catching a pokemon in one of these things brings the two of you close together." Adaman adds.
"Not to mention, Palkia is willing to lend its own strength to us in this battle." Serena says. "This should be great."
"Now that's what I like to hear!" Adaman says. "The Pearl Clan's almighty Sinnoh - well, I guess I should just call it Palkia - is one fierce Pokemon!"
"Everything's ready now, Ash and Serena." Laventon says. "Take the Origin Ball, and hurry back to the Temple of Sinnoh together with Palkia!"
Ash and Serena nod as they quickly rush out of the Galaxy Hall along with the others, as they are trying to get to the Temple of Sinnoh to fight against Dialga.
I'll end the chapter right here, as you can see, Ash and Serena obtain the Origin Ball from Professor Laventon, and the next chapter will be the final chapter of World Saving. But this won't be the final chapter because we have yet to face the final boss. Because of the story, I want to change something from the games in the next chapter. And that is related to the Origin and Alter Forms of Dialga and Palkia. I hope you like this chapter.
