Final chapter ahoy!

This story was really fun to write! Will probably do more Supermarionation crossovers in the future so if you're interested in seeing more, let me know. Thanks for all your support! c:

Jeff had been over the moon when Virgil had relayed to him that Gordon was alive and well. After Thunderbird 2 had picked up the minisub and returned it to the safety of the Pod within the bulk of the larger aircraft, WASP had thanked International Rescue for their assistance in finding Stingray and Virgil had reported the news to his father just before he started making preparations to leave the accident zone.

The Tracy patriarch had been all the more excited when he discovered his previously missing son was desperate to talk to him after his harrowing rescue. However, after Gordon had finally made contact with the island via his portrait, Jeff could tell something was bothering him. His voice was tense and he looked haggard and anxious.

"Hey, Dad? We need to talk."

Jeff had listened intently as Gordon recounted the story of how he'd rescued the Stingray crew, along with his encounter with the mysterious and fantastical creatures living underwater who had nearly succeeded in killing him.

Jeff had been completely bewildered at first, believing Gordon wasn't thinking straight and that the blow to his head had caused him to think he was seeing things. However, Gordon appeared perfectly lucid whilst telling his story and wouldn't lie about something as serious as that, so Jeff was heavily inclined to believe him.

"I'm just glad you're alright after everything you've been through, son." he started, watching as his son took in a deep and shaky breath.

"Thanks Dad…"

"Was there something else you wanted to tell me?"

Gordon hated the fact his father could read him like an open book. "Y-Yeah, there is." he said slowly once gaining the courage to continue. "I left the name of one of the sailors I saved till last."

Jeff's heart skipped a beat. "Go on?"

"Troy Tempest."

Jeff blinked and looked directly at Gordon, a sudden blanket of stillness washing over him. "I see."

Gordon couldn't help but apologize. "I'm so sorry, Father. He recognized me immediately. I tried to convince him otherwise but I wasn't able to disguise Four during our escape and he put two and two together."

"Does anybody else know?"

"His co-pilot, George Sheridan, and his… um… mermaid friend, Marina. But s-she's mute, so shouldn't really be a problem…"

Jeff could see how just how hopeless Gordon was feeling about the situation. For one thing, his fourth son rarely stuttered and only did so when he was incredibly nervous or excited, and in Gordon's case feeling nervous was a rarity in itself, as he had grown to be a confident young man. Out of all of his sons, Gordon was the one who was most at ease with himself and knew who he was and what he was capable of. He rarely let his guard down.

"A mermaid, huh?"

After a few moments, Gordon blinked at the unexpected response. He was expecting a reprimand; not a question like that during an extremely damning breach of security. "Uh, yeah. A princess too, apparently."

"A mermaid princess?" Jeff pondered. "Seems the World Aquanaut Security Patrol is hiding a few of its own secrets."

"I guess so." came Gordon's wary response.

Jeff gave him a reassuring smile. "Well Gordon, all in all, it seems you were put in quite the unavoidable situation. Your kidnapping sparked a chain of events which ultimately led to Troy discovering… who we were, which couldn't be helped."

"I know…"

"That being said, I don't want you blaming yourself about it. We rescued the crew of that submarine and that's a big win in my book, regardless of what happened afterwards. At the end of the day, our job is to rescue people, and that is exactly what you did."

Gordon felt a surge of pride rushing through his aching body. "Thank you. But… I couldn't have done it without Troy's help. I know the sea is usually my territory, but… down there... Those- those creatures! I don't think I ever would have managed to escape without Troy. Without his friends. My friends..."

"I see."

Gordon made a desperate plea, "Listen Father, I know this goes against everything you- we stand for, but Troy told me he wouldn't say anything about what he saw. So did his crew. Obviously their word could still prove fatal, but Troy- I believe him. Troy was there for me and supported me through my accident recovery. He didn't even ask any questions when I eventually fell off the grid." he paused for a second before continuing. "I once trusted him with my life, Father. I think that must account for something."

Jeff considered Gordon's insinuation.

Gordon sighed, rubbing the worsening crimp in his neck. "What did you want us to do now? Drop them off and beg them not to say anything?"

"Actually, I'd like you to bring him here for a talk. Phones and Marina too."

Gordon was surprised. Yet another unexpected response. "You… want to talk to them?"

"I'd like to make them aware of a few things. Can you bring them back to the island?"

"To the island? Are you sure?"

"Yes. Keep them below decks so they can't see where they're going."

"O-Of course."

"Are they still with you?"

Gordon slid his hand through his hair. "Yeah. They're in the loading bay using the radio. Troy's just communicating with the WASP rescue team and Marineville. WASP's ships are towing Stingray back home and we were going to drop the trio off as soon as they were ready."

"Inform Troy and Marineville that Thunderbird 2 will be taking him and his crew to the hospital for a standard examination per our emergency protocols."

"Hospital?"

"That's right. Then tell Virgil to set a course back to the island."

Gordon blinked, practically stunned. "Y-Yes sir! Shall I tell them where they're going?"

"No."

"Alrighty then."

"And Gordon?"

"Yeah?"

"Just so you know, I'm incredibly proud of you. The past twenty-four hours have clearly been a struggle and I'm pleased you came out of it unscathed." Jeff found himself smiling at his shell-shocked son. "I love you. Don't ever forget that."

For the first time since Troy had discovered his identity, Gordon let loose his trademark grin. "I love you too, Dad."

Troy adjusted his collar and cleared his throat as he stood to attention in front of the familiar billionaire's immaculate desk. He was flanked by Phones, who was copying his stance, and Marina, whose curious green eyes were darting about the oriental decor adorning yet contrasting the seemingly modern lounge.

"Well Troy, I'm glad to see you and your crew made it out okay."

Troy shook himself out of his reverie and nodded, making eye contact with the older man. "Thank you, Mr Tracy. But I'm sure we should be thanking you instead."

"Troy's right, sir. If it wasn't for your son, we wouldn't be here right now. He saved our lives." Phones put in, Marina nodding in agreement.

"Well, it's what we do." Jeff paused briefly. "And on that note, I'd like to extend an offer to yourselves."

"An offer?" Troy's interest was piqued.

"Allow me to explain…"

In the hallway, four of the five Tracy brothers were crouched behind the metal grill door, trying to overhear their father's conversation with the island's guests.

Alan groaned as Virgil's weight pressed the side of his head harder against the door, his ear beginning to throb at the pressure being laid on him. He winced as he strained to hear what his father was saying.

"Why's he talkin' so quiet?" Gordon whispered loudly from his place above Scott's right shoulder.

"Shush!" Scott murmured back. "Do you want him to know we're eavesdropping?"

"I still don't know why he didn't want us to be in there with him." Virgil quietly pointed out. "If this is the end of International Rescue, wouldn't he want us there too?"

"Trust Gordon to be the one to ruin us." Alan complained, earning himself a light elbow is the face.

"Oi, monkey-mouth, if I hadn't been kidnapped by fish people then none of this would've happened!"

"Fish people he says. Still not buying that."

"Says the one crying over the radio for me to be alright."

"You heard that?" came Alan's somewhat sheepish reply.

"It was just a guess."

"Idiot."

"Crybaby."

"Guys, shut up! I think they've finished talking." Scott cut in. "I can't hear anything…"

"Ahem."

The brothers looked up to see their father's bemused face peering down at them through the grill gaps. The door suddenly opened in surprise and the brothers spilled out into the lounge.

"They never change, do they?" Troy chuckled as Phones and Marina laughed beside him.

Scott, Virgil, Gordon and Alan stood up, embarrassed at being caught out. Their embarrassment turned into alarm when they realized their father had come to a decision.

"So, Father. Um… what's going to happen to us now?" Scott spoke for all of his brothers. "Has International Rescue's cover been blown for good?"

"No. It has in fact, gained three new allies."

"It's- it's what?"

Jeff smiled. "Meet International Rescue's newest agents - 64, 65, and 66; the Marineville division. Or as you already know them- Troy, Phones, and Marina."

"Can never get rid of me now, Gordon." Troy grinned, turning his head towards the said Tracy. "Being as you saved our lives and all, and the fact I'm such a gosh darn awesome friend, your organization's secrecy will be maintained, and in return, the knowledge you acquired of the Aquaphibians and Sargassians and every other undersea race in existence will also remain a secret."

"We're under strict orders not to tell Commander Shore and any other Marineville personnel about what really happened down there with you. It was a routine rescue until we all got knocked out by the Sargassians'- well- gas. Then when we came to, you rescued us without even making physical contact."

"Well I'll be-"

Jeff placed his arm around Gordon's shoulder, using his hand to prop his son's mouth shut. "Tired, I bet. Why not take a relaxing swim in the pool before heading to bed, hm?"

Gordon blanched and gave his Dad a nervous grin. "You know what? I think I'll give that one a pass. I'm probably just gonna stay up for a while and watch that Titanic documentary John set up for me."

"Nautical through and through, eh, Gords?" Troy laughed.

Gordon grinned and winked at his friend, giving him a hearty salute. "Aye aye, Captain!"
