***There's a picture/short comic/thing that goes with this chapter. I tried to put the link in the chapter and in the reviews in case you wanted to see it but it didn't want to let me so I posted it my author page thingy. So if you want to see it just click where it says Annybee by the title of the story and hopefully the link is there. Personally I think it's cute but that's my opinion… so yeah… ***

"Why am I the one that has to bring you here?" Draco complained as I dragged him to the south side of Diagon Alley.
"Because I wanted you to" I said simply, ignoring his tone. He had been upset since I told him my plan to go to my brother's wedding before heading to the Quidditch World Cup with the twins and their family. Draco insisted that there had to be another option but this one was the best I could think of. Besides, I wanted to go visit the boys, and the World Cup sounded like fun
"Why didn't you just bring that weasel with you, then? Oh right, he's too dirt poor to buy anything worth more than the dirt on your shoes" he scoffed happily looking at the shops we passed by. I sighed
"Draco –" I began but stopped suddenly, processing his words. "Wait, what do you mean that weasel? Don't you mean those?"
"Um…" he said not answering me at all
"Why only one?" I insisted
"Look, let's just get your stupid dress and get this over with" he mumbled and turned into Twilfitt and Tattings
"Fine" I rolled my eyes but let him walk me into the expensive shop. The school supplies list said that we would be in need of dress robes and I had to find something for the wedding too. Hermione had said that dress robes weren't too different than what Muggles wore on special occasions so as long as it didn't look too much like a cloak I would be fine
"What are you doing?" he asked as I put my hair up in messy bun
"If I wanted someone nagging me about my appearance I would have brought my mother" I told him shutting him up. "It's so that I don't have to keep fidgeting with it when I try on clothes"
"May I help you?" a somewhat older looking witch asked in way too friendly a tone. It was clearly fake. She walked over to us with a grand smile on her face. She had seen two high class kids with a lot of money in their pockets ready to do some shopping. All she saw us as were Galleons
"Hi" I answered in a friendly matter anyway. "We were actually looking for some dress robes"
"Of course, please follow me" she answered turning on her heels and leading us further into the shop
"We?" Draco whispered in my ear
"Yeah, I still owe you for the ones I ruined on Christmas." He made a sound like he remembered but didn't say anything about it. "Plus they're part of our supplies list for Hogwarts"
"Fine I'll get some, you just focus on not picking something too ghastly" he smirked as the woman began looking through the expensive robes. I hit him in the stomach and he chuckled
I dismissed the older witch stating that I would look for my new dress robes myself. She looked reluctant but thought better than to argue with me. The woman left with a nod and Draco and I began our search. I looked through the ones that looked like they would fit me taking in all the different shapes and colors. Usually had my robes were tailored, even the ones that were lose-fitted. But seeing as I had waited until the last minute to buy something for the wedding I didn't have time to wait. That and if my father found out about the fitting he'd start getting curious; I wasn't much of a shopper. Draco found his rather quickly, making the woman hold it for him while he waited for me to find mine. Guys have it so much easier.
"Just pick one already!" Draco grumbled after only a few minutes of looking
"Shut up, it's not that simple!"
"What's not simple? Here, get this one" he said pulling out a pretty, but long, dress. I frowned. "What?"
"It's too long, I'm short. And besides it wouldn't work for either occasion"
"Why not?" he whined but put the robes back from where he had found it
"It's not appropriate for a wedding and too casual to what I'm guessing we need them for at Hogwarts"
"You mean the Yule Ball" he stated as I nodded. Our fathers had informed us that the Triwizard Tournament would be held at Hogwarts this year, and that it was probably the reason we were required to bring dress robes. The Yule Ball was a traditional part of the Triwizard Tournament so we needed to be prepared
"Exactly. If it's being held at Hogwarts then I obviously need it to be nice not whatever that was that you showed me. Whereas you can just pull one out and it's somehow perfect" I grumbled. Boys have it way too easy. I kept looking and picked a few choices, making Draco hold the dresses for me. Once I had enough to choose from, and more than enough to annoy Draco, I led him to the changing area to hang for them me.
"Where are you going?" I asked as he started to head back to the front of the shop. He frowned at me not understanding my question. "Stay here so you can tell me what you think"
"What?" he asked not expecting that at all
"Look, there's a chair right there. Sit and wait for me to come out." He looked like he wanted to refuse but knowing how stubborn I was he grunted and fell onto the seat. I smiled; I always got my way
The first couple of dresses weren't much to speak of. They had been mostly so that I had a reference. I didn't even bother showing them to Draco as I knew I wouldn't get them. He complained that I took too long and I reminded him that had said he wouldn't spend the whole time whining. But I sighed as I agreed; clothes shopping was a tedious task… Still, I reached for the next one feeling just a little better about this choice
"Hurry up" I heard Draco's voice complain for the hundredth time as I stepped out of the dressing room
"What do you think about this one?" I asked stepping onto a pedestal in front of several mirrors set up for different angles. He studied it for a few seconds before making a face
"Too pink." I walked back to the dressing room giving him a look before slipping the dress off. He was right but it annoyed me that he didn't even think of anything nice to say. Honestly, he'd been complaining for what felt to me as hours and he couldn't be bothered to say more than two words. I shook my head before stepping out with the next one
"What about this?" I asked as I showed him a dress that was clearly not fitted to me. It wasn't too off from my size but it felt weird to wear clothes not made especially for me. There was a difference between lose-fitted and too big and this was clearly too big
"Looks too big for you"
"I'm getting the Yule Ball robes tailored" I reminded him
"Were you thinking of wearing that to the Yule Ball?" he asked but it was rhetorical. He knew I wouldn't since I kept frowning at it. I gave him another look before trying again
"This one?"
"No"
"This?"
"Nope"
"Should I even ask?" He shook his head and with a frustrated sigh I walked back in to try one more, though by this point I was wondering why I was even trying
But this time, I was happy with what I saw. The dress was very close to my fit even without tailoring. Silk draped to the floor in a dark shade of green but not a dull one. It dragged a little but that would be fixed with some stitching and the proper shoes. It was sleeveless but had a cloak with a high collar that came up to wrap around my neck. There was beading, along what my mother called a natural waist, making it look like a sort of sparkling belt. I walked out to see how it looked in the mirrors rather than for Draco's opinion
"Don't even say anything! I actually like this one" I warned him as I saw his eyebrows raised a little. He leaned slightly forward but didn't comment on it. I went back to the pedestal turning, trying to get all angles and seeing what I would want fixed
"Do whatever you want" he finally said. I didn't know why he as being so grouchy today but I didn't bother asking. Either way I loved the dress
"So it's settled" I said and nodded to my reflection. "I think this would be good for the Yule Ball. Now all I need is one for the wedding…"
"Hurry up, I'm falling asleep over here" he teased but when I looked at him his face looked more thoughtful. Still I stuck out my tongue at him anyway before entering the dressing room to try on the next dress. At least I had found one
There were a couple of more misses before I found my wedding dress. Or rather my dress for the wedding. This dress was a one shoulder, pale yellow. It was shorter than what I usually wore dresses, a little above my knee, but it was very pretty. Like the green dress this one was a rather close fit which would be good if I decided on it. A sash wrapped around my waist and a small train fell from the back of the dress just under it. It was pretty. I stepped out one more time to show Draco my new finding. His eyes got a little bigger as I stepped into view.
"Deedee, what do you think?" I asked him after a few seconds of silence. He didn't answer; instead he kept staring at me.
"Well…" he said in a breathy tone. I looked to the reflection to see him still staring at me. When he noticed I was looking at him he leaned back a little but continued to stare. "I guess it's not that bad…"
"Good. I like it too" I smiled and went to put my plain robes back on. At least he was in a better mood now
When I came back out Draco took my two dresses from me and we walked to the sales woman who looked very happy to see us. I informed the woman what she would need to tailor on my green dress and paid for our robes but Draco didn't complain. Unlike George had last year Draco didn't insist on paying. I knew he hated that I did but he knew I would get upset if he fought me on it so I appreciated his silence. She set it aside and assured me that it would be taken care of. We left soon after that with the wedding dress robes tucked neatly away so it wouldn't catch anyone's eye. I fidgeted with the bag that held them a few times before Draco put an arm around me to stop me
"It'll be fine" Draco assured me squeezing my shoulder. I hoped it would be okay but who was to say. I was still a little resentful of the Muggle girl's attempt to steal my brother. Nikolai gave her nothing but praise every time he spoke of her but it still bothered me. I sighed and nodded and just hoped Draco was right
