Notes: Interconnected drabble things set in the 6th episode. Sort of a character study of Naota, I guess. Sometimes you just have to go for what you want.

"Will you give all this up… and come with me?"

In Haruka's embrace, it was an easy decision to make.

"Where are your eyebrows," Amarao wanted to know. "I thought I told you not to trust that woman! How much trouble do you have to get in before you wise up!"

So what? Naota turned without a word and walked back to the waiting alien. Sometimes it felt good to make wrong decision - one you knew was wrong - but made anyway because it felt so right.

When Haruka enfolded Ta-kun in her arms… it was the only decision he wanted to make.

Naota pulled himself bodily from the robot, glowing like an ember, the mark of Atomsk on his brow.

"Don't try to keep me from what I want!" Haruka, enraged, with teeth that looked like they belonged more on a shark than in any human mouth. And still beautiful. "I show no mercy, even to you, Ta-kun!" With all the power of the Pirate Lord at his command, disarming Haruka was an easy thing.

Amarao's cries to finish her went unheeded.

Sometimes you just have to go for what you want.

"Aishteru."

Naota smiled.
