"Wake up, Katerina! Why are you still in bed?" Daphne called pulling at my bed sheets.

"Because it's Saturday!" I snapped trying to keep the sheets over my head. Daphne wasn't having it as she continued to try to pull them off, trying to get me out of bed.

"Katerina—"

"What?" I barked not having had the necessary amount of sleep to be cheerful. "What could you possibly want from me, on a Saturday, at..." I paused, looking around for a clock to tell the time.

"Six o'clock in the morning" Pansy answered me with a smile, enjoying my annoyed half asleep state. I turned to glare at Daphne.

"Six o'clock in the morning?!" I repeated pulling the sheets out of Daphne's hands and over my head. "For the love of Merlin is the sun even out?!"

"B-but the Goblet of Fire—we may have already missed some entries" Daphne whined shaking my bed knowing that if she let me I would fall back into sleep in a second's time.

"It's just someone putting a strip of parchment into a bowl of fire" I yawned trying to find the comfortable spot of the bed.

"How is it that you can make everything sound boring?" Pansy asked with a derisive laugh.

"It's a talent, now go away" I retorted through the sheets. Daphne sighed and sat on my bed which, I would like to point out, is basically the exact opposite of what I had requested.

"Come on! You are like the only person at Hogwarts who has a history with Viktor Krum; the Viktor Krum! I mean he's just..." Her voice drifted off and was replaced by silence. Since she hardly ever shut up I decided to remove the bed sheets just enough so I could check on her. Daphne sat on the edge of my bed looking at nothing in particular, daydreaming of something. So I shrugged and covered myself again.

"Just leave her" Pansy told Daphne as she walked over to her. Daphne snapped out of her daydream and stood up. I'm assuming by the movement of the bed since I was still trying to find that darn special spot of the bed. It's so hard to find once you've lost it. "Draco knows him too. You saw the way he greeted him at the table."

"You mean when he said 'hi'?" I asked her sarcastically, not able to help myself. Pansy threw a pillow at me in reply. I sat up to scowl at her. "Hey!"

"Oh good you're up" Daphne smiled taking advantage of the distraction to pull me out of bed. Before I knew it she had me standing several feet from my bed with my uniform in hand.

"I really hate you sometimes, did you know?" I told her as she gave me a grand smile.

"I'm sure you do. Now hurry up and get dressed so we can go see him. Quick before some other lucky girl finds him first and steals him away!" she called excitedly moving to look at herself in her vanity mirrors.

"She can't really steal him if he wasn't yours in the first place" Millicent mumbled from her bed. I laughed a little at Daphne's expression.

"Really, Millicent? The first thing I've heard you say all week and you go with that?" Daphne moaned looking up from her reflection. Millicent shrugged and rolled over in her bed. I smiled at her and lazily began putting on my clothes since Daphne wasn't going to let it go.

Once all three of us were dressed and at least partially awake we made our way out the dormitory and down to the common room. And by three I meant Pansy, Daphne, and me. Millicent had decided to stay behind since clearly I was the only one being forced to get up at this ungodly hour. Pansy came by choice; not mine of course. Down in the Slytherin common room I saw Theodore sitting on the couch and drowsily rubbing his eyes. Daphne led us towards him. When he saw us he stood to greet us but stopped mid-sentence to yawn.

"Is she making you go too?" I guessed as I myself yawned. Those things were annoyingly contagious.

"Yeah" he muttered as we started following Daphne to the door out of the common room. "I was partly hoping you would convince her otherwise but unfortunately I can see that didn't happen."

"I would have but who has the energy at six o'clock in the morning" I said the last part a little louder so she would hear me. Theo smiled down at me as we reached the Entrance Hall.

Daphne moved to sit casually against the wall. To my surprise there was a decent number of students who, like Daphne, really wanted to watch something as mundane as putting a slip of parchment into the Goblet of Fire. I didn't really see the point to it since only one person would be chosen from each of the three schools. I was sure the tournament itself would be enjoyable but even if I were old enough I wouldn't have participated in it. It seems way too dangerous for only a thousand galleons. I yawned one more time before walking and sitting down next to Daphne.

"So what about breakfast?" Pansy asked Daphne moving to sit on the other side of her. She shrugged in reply, still watching the door intently.

"Wait, you're saying you made me get up at six o'clock in the morning and you're not even feeding me?" I asked outraged. They laughed at my remark but I was serious. It was bad enough I was tired, I was not going to add hungry to that list. "One of you, go get me some breakfast"

"Yeah right" Pansy sneered at me. Daphne didn't even hear me as she got up to ask someone about Durmstrang. I turned to Theo and he sighed.

"I need to stop spending time with you two" he complained, pushing against the floor and wall to stand. "All you ever do is tell me to do things for you."

"Don't take it personally, I do that with everyone" I smiled. With a shake of his head Theo smiled back at me and walked away to get me some food.

"Well it looks like Durmstrang hasn't been here yet" Daphne said smiling to herself as she came to sit between Pansy and I again. "Maybe we'll be able to say hi to Krum after all. And then he'll say hi. And then he'll want to talk to me. And then we'll fall in love and get married on a cliff overlooking the ocean at sunset."

"Don't you think that's a big 'maybe'?" Pansy muttered giving her a look.

"Besides why would you want your wedding by an ocean?" I yawned again; I was not what someone would call a morning person. "You'd have to place several repellent charms just to ward off animals. Some weather ones too so there's no unexpected changes or a surprise storm. And with the sunset it would be way too dark in the reception, everyone will be tired—"

"Alright then what about a garden wedding?" Daphne interrupted with a thoughtful look on her face. "Those are always lovely too"

"Sure you just have to find one big enough for a proper entrance. And in the borderline of spring and winter the flowers look nice but it's still not far enough along to cause serious allergies or insect problems."

"What are you a wedding planner?" Pansy scoffed at me. No I wasn't but my mother liked to babble on about this sort of thing, so much so that a few things stuck with me. But instead of telling her that I just shrugged and buried my head in my arms. Maybe I could get a few minutes of light sleep…

"Here they come!" Daphne yelled loudly and started shaking me, ruining my plan. She stood up to get a better look. I looked up from my arms and saw Durmstrang students, what appeared to be all of them, moving towards the cup. Each had a slip of parchment in hand.

"What did I miss?" Theo asked walking back to us with our small breakfast. He gave me a plate of toasts and the glass of orange juice he was holding.

"Thanks. Nothing, they just got here" I answered taking a bite of a piece of toast. Pansy turned to grab a piece but paused before she could. She made a face at me making me want to return it. "What?"

"Why does she have juice and we don't?" Pansy whined rather loudly to Theodore.

"Because I'm special" I answers with a smile and took another bite of my piece of toast.

"Yeah, you're special alright" Pansy mumbled then turned back to glare at Theo sitting next to me.

"Because I'm not your house elf, I only have two hands, and out of the three of you I figured I would regret it the most if I didn't give the juice to her" Theo answered taking one of the toasts for himself. I smiled and purposely took a loud sip of my drink. Pansy rolled her eyes at me and turned back to the cup.

"Hush, he's coming!" Daphne called to us as Vik walked our way.

"Morning" I greeted taking another loud sip of my juice. From the corner of my eye I saw Pansy twitch because of it, making me smile. "So you're thinking of becoming the champion?"

"Hopefully yes" he answered with a nod. I finished with my piece of toast and reached for another.

"Want one?" I asked him, outstretching my new piece to him.

"No, thank you" he smiled politely. I shrugged and bit it.

"Well don't worry I'm sure you'll be the champion. Who could possibly beat you?" said Daphne happily leaning in close to him. Behind them I saw some girls who looked very jealous of Daphne's position.

"Shouldn't you be rooting for our school?" I asked looking back to her. Daphne gave me a look then turned back to Krum with a smile that looked too big to be real. "Just saying..."

"I know Katerina but I am sorry I do not think I know your names" Vik said turning to look at my little group just realizing that. Daphne looked overjoyed he thought to ask. I couldn't decide if that was funny or sad.

"Well let me introduce you then" I said realizing I should probably be standing up like Daphne, although maybe not so close. I didn't though; I was still too tired. "This is Theodore, that's Daphne, and... I'm sorry do I know you?"

"Funny" Pansy said with a fake smile.

"That's Pansy" I added not at all enthusiastic about it.

"It is very nice to meet you all" Vik said to them. Daphne giggled though I didn't find his words at all humorous. Behind him I saw some movement and realized it was the rest of Durmstrang. Vik noticed too. "Unfortunately I must go back to the ship"

"Already?" Daphne asked with a pout.

"Well have fun with that" I said with a wave. He smiled at me and nodded.

"Greet Malfoy for me" Vik called as he walked away with the rest of his school.

"See they do know each other" Pansy sneered at me. I rolled my eyes at her.

"I didn't say they didn't I just said he said hi. It's not my fault you misconstrue everything I say" I muttered and took one more purposely loud sip of my juice. She shrieked and took the last piece of toast. This upset all four of us.

"Hey those were mine!" I snapped at her.

"They were for everyone!" she snapped back.

"I never got a piece!" Daphne called just now noticing there had been food; "had" being the key word.

"I'm not going again" Theo stated looking ahead.

"Fine, I'll go, if it's soooo important to you all" I mumbled to them and stood up. I was doing it more because I was hungry than for them. As I stood I picked up the plate and took it with me to the Great Hall.

On the tables there were bits of breakfast here and there for people to eat. No one was inside though, except for a few of the professors. I guess the only people that thought of waking up early were doing it just to watch the champion entries. From the Slytherin table I got a stack of toasts and walked out. Back in the Entrance Hall I heard a laugh and saw the twins and one of their friends running down the stairs. They looked very satisfied with themselves.

"Hey" I called in greeting to them. George stopped in front of me and smiled widely. Clearly they hadn't been planning on doing that as the other two ran past me and had to walk back to meet us.

"What are you doing up at this hour?" George asked as the other two reached us. "You hate waking up early"

"Daphne wouldn't let me go back to sleep" I complained as I took a bite of a piece of toast. I saw George watching my mouth as I did so I moved the plate to him as an offer. "Want some?"

"Oh no, thanks" said George a little quickly. I shrugged and kept eating

"You're waking up early and giving us some of your toasts? Is this some sort of trickery?" Fred asked in a fake tone of suspicion. I giggled and shook my head

"No. And actually that one was for Pansy but you can have one of mine if you really want" I smiled.

"We probably shouldn't. Don't want to mess with the potion" he replied patting his stomach. Beside him I saw his friend Lee hit him gently on the side and give him a look.

"What potion?" I asked the question his friend was probably trying to avoid.

"An aging potion" George smirked at me.

"No" I frowned. "Please tell me you are not thinking of trying to get into the tournament"

"'Course we are" Fred said simply with a grin as his brother's faded a little next to him.

"Why not?" George asked me looking a tad concerned.

"It's incredibly dangerous and the prize doesn't seem worth it" I answered shaking my head.

"It's a thousand galleon prize" George emphasized.

"That's a lot of money to some people" Fred agreed.

"Maybe not to you" Lee mumbled next to him. I rolled my eyes at the three Gryffindors. How did they not understand the danger that the even held. It was that very danger that made the headmasters decide on an age limit in the first place.

"The point is you could get hurt" I scolded and bit my toast again. Fred smiled endearingly and patted my head making me frown a little more.

"We won't get—"

"Wait. Say that again" George interrupted stepping a little closer to me. I tilted my head a little not understanding.

"Say what again?" I asked

"That we'd get hurt" George answered. I giggled at his response

"If you heard me why are you asking—"

"You're worried about me—I mean us. You're worried about us" George said smiling down at me. I sighed and smiled back.

"Well of course I am. Or else I wouldn't care what happened to you. But I do care and I don't think you should do it" I said as George smiled happily at his brother about something. Fred smiled back but started shaking his head at his brother.

"We'll be fine" Fred said to me, taking a piece of toast after all. "Don't worry your pretty little head about it"

"Don't call me little" I complained. The twins laughed and I sighed. "Well you've obviously made up your mind so good luck I guess"

"Thank you" George smiled and took a piece of toast too. He put it between his teeth and, with a wave to me, moved to follow his brother and friend towards the Goblet of Fire. I returned the wave and walked back to my group with a smaller version of our breakfast.

"I don't want one if they touched it" Pansy announced as I reached them, looking at the stack of toasts with distaste.

"Good because I gave them your pieces" I replied and sat down next to Theodore. I placed the plate on my lap and reaching for my juice.

"Well I'm still hungry. I'll just… take one from the bottom" Daphne said reaching for the last piece in the stack. I gave her a look. "Just a precaution"

"A precaution to what?" I asked as she purposely avoided my gaze. Pansy smiled to herself.

"Do you even know what precaution means?" Theo mumbled to her not minding taking a piece from the top for himself. Daphne was still looking away but decided to answer him.

"Yes I do. But even if I didn't it wouldn't matter because I'm pretty"

"So that's you excuse?" Theo teased as I laughed. Daphne snapped her head back to us and narrowed her eyes at him.

"You've been spending too much time with Blaise" she complained still glaring at him. He smiled sweetly at her and took a bite of his toast.

"Maybe, but it beats spending time with people who make me do things all the time"

"Don't you love us?" pouted Daphne batting her eyelashes at him, having already gotten over the situation. He smiled at her, having noticed the same thing I had.

"If it bothers you so much I'll just make Draco do things for me instead of you" I said turning back to the goblet. The twins were approaching it.

"Fine by me" Theo shrugged looking back too. He frowned a little when he saw Fred and George closing in on the cup. "I didn't know they were old enough to compete"

"They're not" I sighed shaking my head a little.

As I turned back I saw Fred slowly walking up to the edge of the age line. He rocked back and forth on his toes as if preparing to jump in. Then, with a deep breath, he carefully and somehow successfully stepped over the age line. I was actually impressed; it looked like it worked. George thought so too as he happily jumped in to join his brother.

Before anyone got too excited a loud sizzling noise sounded and both the twins were hurled out of the circle with great force. I hastily sat up to see if they were okay. It looked like a painful landing, having been thrown approximately ten feet away onto a cold stone floor. Before I could see the severity of their injuries there was a loud popping sound and both of the twins spawned identical looking long white beards.

Everyone in the entrance hall laughed, some with them some at them. But Fred and George were laughing too. That was one of the things I loved most about the twins. They never paid much mind to what others thought. They didn't worry about appearances or presentation. All they worried about was enjoying themselves and having a good time. This was why they were now openly laughing at their own idiocy along with a good portion of the Hogwarts students.

"I did warn you," an amused voice announced and Professor Dumbledore appeared out of the Great Hall to study Fred and George. "I suggest you both go up to Madam Pomfrey. She is already tending to Miss Fawcett, of Ravenclaw, and Mr. Summers, of Hufflepuff, both of whom decided to age themselves up a little too. Though I must say, neither of their beards is anything like as fine as yours."

The two made their way to the hospital wing as their friend Lee laughed and followed behind.

"Those two are real idiots. You really are perfect for each other" Pansy added with a look to me.

"What does that mean?" I asked a little confused. She gave me a smug looking smile and was about to answer but Theo interrupted her before she could.

"You tell her and Draco will be furious" Theo commented standing up. Pansy looked to think about that for a second and sighed, choosing not to add anything but a snide look. Theodore stretched out his hand offered it to me and helped me up

"Thanks" I said and he nodded in reply.

"So who's competing from Hogwarts?" Pansy asked as we walked into the Great Hall. I looked up at the Great Hall and its array of Halloween decorations. There were carved pumpkins around every corner of the place and bats flying back and forth across the enchanted ceiling.

"Well there have been a few rumors I heard but the one that I know for certain is some Hufflepuff kid named Diggory" Theodore answered her.

"Oh I've met him, I think" I mumbled. I was pretty sure I had met him at the World Cup. "He seems nice. I wouldn't call him a champion though"

"Cedric is really cute too" Daphne added with a slight twirl of her hair. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Not everything is about Iooks."

"Precisely, just look at you" Pansy sneered. She smiled smugly to no one in particular turning her head to the side to look at the decorations. I took out my wand, keeping it down at my side. With a flick of my wrist I made one of the bats from overhead fall off the enchanted ceiling and onto Pansy's head. She yelped a little in surprise but turned to glare at me as it flew back up to the ceiling. At which point another bat decided to fall on her head. Pansy swept her hair off her face and turned to glower at me again. "Hey!

"That second one wasn't me, I swear" I laughed taking a seat at the Slytherin table. Pansy leered at me but didn't say a word and sat too. Daphne giggled at our scene and sat next to me.

There were a few cheers from the Great Hall's entrance. There, a Gryffindor girl, who I was pretty sure I was supposed to know, walked in with a small crowd around her. They cheered as she smiled though looking a little embarrassed.

"I'm guessing she entered too" Theodore observed grabbing some milk from the table.

"From what I remember she's not so nice" I mumbled realizing she was one of the girls on the Gryffindor's Quidditch team. Last year she had been rather irritating when I accidentally walked into the Gryffindor practice while walking Lev.

"She's a Gryffindor, what did you expect?" Pansy mumbled looking away from her. I shrugged as she had a point but I wasn't going to let her know that.

We settled ourselves into the table and ate a proper breakfast. I did enjoy the toasts but it was better to have a wider selection. The rest of our little group came eventually but the Durmstrang lot didn't show again. My guess was that Karkaroff wanted to keep them from getting too distracted though part of me was left curious as to what exactly they ate for breakfast. Needless to say Daphne was disappointed

"Aww, but I wanted them to eat with us" Daphne pouted on the way out of the Great Hall.

"You mean you wanted Krum to eat with us" Blaise corrected. I smiled as she rolled her eyes at him.

"So what if I did? I barely got to talk to him when he stopped by this morning" Daphne continued to pout at her lack of an engagement with Vik.

"Speaking of which, why didn't you ask us to come?" Draco asked her annoyed. She shrugged at him and smiled.

"Well I asked Blaise and he said no and I knew you would just complain the whole time" Daphne answered simply.

"I was just complaining the whole time and you still made me go" I grumbled crossing my arms.

"I told you, so we could talk to Victor Krum. Do you really think he was going to talk to us without you there?"

"Shame you missed it, though" Theo commented to Draco as I continued to stare at Daphne. "The Weasley twins tried to cross the age line and ended up getting thrown onto the stone floor. They're in the hospital wing right now."

"You made me miss that?!" Draco yelled at Daphne.

"No one forced you to sleep so late" she replied and flipped her hair for, what she liked to refer to as, dramatic effect. "If you wanted to come you could have. It was really funny though"

"It really was" I agreed with a giggled. Draco turned to look down at me with a slightly confused look.

"You're not mad they laughed?" Draco said with a slight tone of mocking. I shook my head

"Nah ah. I told those two not to try to get in. It was their fault that happened. Besides they weren't seriously hurt and I kind of laughed too" I smiled.

"You still could've told me" he frowned at me. It's not like it was my idea to come so why was he blaming me? He was such a child sometimes.

"Tell you what, next time I'll drag you out of bed myself, okay?" I said and patted his head. Blaise moved to whisper something into Daphne's ear making her laugh out loud. It made me curious. "What?"

"Nothing" answered Daphne at the same time Blaise was moving to tell Theo the same thing he had told her. I'm assuming since he also laughed audibly.

"Shut up!" Draco snapped turning to the dungeon. I sighed but followed him down, turning frowning at the three for not telling me. Blaise laughed again looking at Draco. I hated it when they didn't tell me things.

"So where are we going?" I asked as we reached enough distance between them and us.

"I'm going to my room" Draco grunted not turning back to look at me. I walked a little faster and stepped in front of him. He paused on the step before mine.

"Want to go to the room instead?" I asked looking up at him. I already had enough distance between our heights and the steps weren't helping me with that. He sighed and nodded. Draco and I walked down the rest of the stairs and turned into my special room. After casting the spell to create the passage we stepped through the doorway and into the room.

"Do you know what they were saying?" I asked as I took my seat on my armchair.

"I can guess" Draco mumbled looking around the room. He came to lean against my desk like he had the day before. Draco made a face as he stared at the wall. His guess was better than I could do and I wondered what they had been talking about. And why he always got so bothered by it.

"You can be really sensitive, did you know?"

"Shut up!" Draco snapped at me.

"See" I smiled at his reaction. He frowned at me but I continued to smile. With a sigh he shook his head and moved to sit on the arm of my chair. Draco leaned down to smile sweetly at me.

"You're incredibly aggravating sometimes, did you know?" he teased and patted my head. I giggled a little and stuck out my tongue

"That may be true—"

"It is true" he interrupted with an arrogant smile.

"But you love me, admit it" I insisted taking his hand from my head and into mine. He looked at it resting on my lap for a few seconds then looked back up to me with a small smile. It technically wasn't a yes but I knew that's what he meant. "I love you too."

"You are a great idiot" Draco said a little quietly.

"I am great aren't I" I replied with a smile. He laughed at me and nodded.

"So," Draco began pulling his hand away from mine to stand up, "since I missed it, I think it's only fair for me to create a sort of... reenactment of the whole 'thrown against the floor'—"

"You are not getting in a fight with Fred and George" I interrupted standing up too. He didn't look surprised by my answer

"How about just one of them?" he tried to compromise, though there was something strange in his tone. I moved to step closer

"No" I answered as and tapped his forehead in a scolding manner. Draco rolled his eyes but smiled at me.

"You are such a killjoy"

"I love you too"

I changed my mind I'm not numbering down the chapters. I would but I'm afraid of messing with the reviews and maybe confuse people who are a little behind; I really don't want to do that. Besides the fact that it'll seriously bother me I'm pretty sure you can only review once per chapter and I don't want to restrict you all on that. Anyway sorry about the little mix up and that this chapter took so long. In my defense though this is longer than my usual chapters. Well, hope you enjoyed it and have a good day today (or tomorrow, or whenever, I'm not saying those have to be bad or anything) Okay, bye \(^-^)/
