Although there are many wonderful towns and cities in the Beria Region, Roseheart City is the largest and one of the busiest, most fascinating cities, being famous even in other regions.
The large amusement park and pleasure garden stand firm as the city's centerpiece while the grass type gym dominates the northeastern corner district. Not only is this the tourist district of Beria, it also holds the region's largest infrastructure, including the Roseheart Subway station, which allows ease of access between Beria, Unova and Johto.
In the amusement park, Dream, Stark, Zorba and Starlene all walked past the bumper cars and found themselves walking over to the carousel, where they happened to see a familiar face…Princess Pink.
"Zorba, look." Dream exclaimed, "It's the princess again."
"Maybe now we can ask her what she has to do with Team Gloom's plans." Zorba considered, taking his friend by the hand and heading towards the carousel.
They saw that Princess Pink was staring at the sparkling, elegant ride as the many plastic zoo animals of different breeds, sizes and colors twirled in circles and a circus-like tune of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" played as the animals bobbed up and down as if they were galloping with the music.
A stray balloon floated over to the princess, but she pushed it away, all while still gazing at the carousel with those reddish, cloudy eyes and slightly lowered eyelids, not looking away once. Her eerie calmness made our heroes feel a little uneasy.
"Umm…Princess Pink?" Said Zorba.
"Huh?" the princess shrieked, coming out of her trance-like state.
"Oh! Zorba and Dream." She giggled, "It's a pleasure to see you two again. I was just here in Roseheart City with my dear Sebastian to invite the gym leader to our wedding, but I had gotten distracted and came to the amusement park to take a break."
She turned back to the ride, "I just love the carousel. The vibrant colors of the various zoo animals racing around, the bright letter-box pink and yellow paint here and there…it's all somewhat reminiscent of a mirage of primary, secondary and tertiary colors in a color wheel."
Dream, Zorba and their Pokémon were speechless at what the Princess was saying.
"Would you care to ride with me?" Asked Princess Pink.
Seeing this as an opportunity to ask one of the two champions a few questions, Zorba piped up, "Certainly, we would be delighted."
Dream nodded in agreement as they began to board the ride with her on a reindeer, Zorba on a wolf and Princess Pink on a snow leopard which began to bob up and down as the carousel began to spin.
"Princess? May we ask you some questions?" Dream questioned.
"Oh, Certainly." The princess replied, "What's on your minds?"
Zorba was the one to ask first, "Do you know what you have to do with Team Gloom and their goals?"
"Do you really love Sebastian instead of Prince Sparkle? And if not, why did you say that he's the one you want to marry?" Inquired Dream.
"Oh, I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't know what this 'Team Gloom' is or who Prince Sparkle is, and I honestly don't know what goals this so-called 'Team Gloom has. All I know is that my sweet, kind and wonderful Sebastian Tulip, his associates and his two guards; Sunday and Chrystal are there to protect me and that makes me happy." Princess Pink explained, "In fact, on our wedding day, Sebastian is going to have every gym leader and elite four member in attendance."
As the carousel had come to a complete stop and the trio had climbed down from their plastic animals, that's when Sebastian himself had appeared!
"Well, well, my princess!" He said in that smooth, deep voice as he approached his fiancée and the two human-Eeveelutions, "What have we here?"
Princess Pink embraced Sebastian as she held out her hand to introduce the poke-humans, "Sebastian, I would like you to meet my acquaintances; Dream Beatrix, the human Misteon and Zorba, the human Drakeon."
"Interesting." Sebastian marveled, he gave the trainers and their Pokémon a good, long stare straight at them.
Dream, Zorba, Stark and Starlene all quivered in horror as their eyes met The leader of Team Gloom's and he gave them a deathly stare that should only be described as the punishment for the worst of crimes. Their voices faded down to whimpers as the effects of Sebastian's stare took ahold of them.
"I've heard about you two from my fellow grunts and my bodyguards, but I didn't think I'd ever see you in person." Sebastian chided. "Allow me to give you both a warning: If you should interfere with Team Gloom's plans or my marriage to the princess, there will be serious dire consequences in store for you. Do you understand?"
Stark growled, baring his teeth at the gentleman with the unkempt hair and long trench coat, but Sebastian glared at the Pokemon who shivered in fear and slowly began to take a few step backs.
"That's much better," Sebastian smiled, his own teeth being sharpened to a point. "Now come along now, Princess. We've got a lot of work to do!"
Princess Pink simply nodded with a small smile before taking her fiancé's had, being led out of the amusement park. Meanwhile, Dream and Zorba stood rooted on the spot with their mouths agape. Desperately, they both tried to process what had just happened.
After he and Dream checked into their rooms at the Pokemon center for the night and discussed their strategy for tomorrow's gym battle, the human-Drakeon found himself struggling to sleep. Lying on his back, he stared up at the ceiling.
"Man, today certainly was strange," Zorba muttered to himself. "Oh well… we'll be trying to get our third badge tomorrow. I need to try and get some sleep so we can head to Alfred's gym," he mumbled, letting out a loud yawn.
He rolled over onto his side and closed his eyes, letting his mind drift away as he fell into a deep slumber.
That's was when he began to have that certain dream again…
Zorba had once again found himself in the void where the scenery quickly enveloped into several colors that were constantly changing.
"Again? …It's that dream again." he thought.
Suddenly, a mysterious figure appeared in the distance. It appeared to be a young man who looked to be the same age as Princess Pink, he appeared to have shoulder-length strawberry blonde hair with a pair of grayish-blue eyes. He wore a white shirt under a bright red tunic and a red and purple cape with a pair of bluish-lavender jeans and brown wingtip shoes.
The man looked at Zorba with warmth in his eyes, his vibrant, calm voice echoing throughout the void of colors.
"That person…who could it be?" Zorba said to himself. The young man's voice still sounded too far away to hear, but the poke-human still managed to hear part of what he was saying.
"Huh? I'm hearing him better." He whispered in his head, carefully listening to what words he could make out, "What? …The legendary bird? True love?"
The young man began to fade away as Zorba tried to reach out for him. "W-Wait, come back! Please, tell me more!" Called Zorba.
But Dream's call of his name had already awoken him.
"Good morning, love." Said Dream, giving Zorba a small kiss on his cheek. "Are you ready to take on the grass type gym next?"
"Hmm? Oh, yeah, Dream. Just let me freshen up and I'll be right down for breakfast." Assured Zorba.
As his girlfriend gave him a wink upon exiting his room with Stark, Zorba's thoughts once again began to race with questions as he made his way to the bathroom to take a shower.
