DARK
THE CAMERA PANS DOWNDOWN ON THE MOONLIT NIGHT.
ROAD.
It's quiet.
Momentary silence.
SUDDENLY THERE ARE THREE SUPER SONIC BOOMS, ALONG WITH THREE FLASHES OF LIGHT!
EXT. DELOREAN TIME MACHINE.
The Time Vehicle appears out of the Space Time Continuum.
It spins clockwise and comes to an immediate stop facing in the direction of 1920's Hill Valley.
The Gullwing door flips open.
EXT. EMMETT BROWN.
The young teenager steps out of the Delorean and looks to his surroundings. He begins to wonder
if Temporal Displacement occurred at all and he feels things haven't changed. he's only gone twelve
years into the past.
EMMETT
Did I make it?
(himself)
Am I back?
HEADLIGHTS THEN ABRUPTLY APPEAR BEHIND HIM AND SEEM TO GET CLOSER.
Emmett is still pre-occupied with his surroundings, to notice an oncoming vehicle.
EXT. 1921 FIAT 520.
The prohibition car is then heard honking it's horn and Emmett jumps out of the way.
The male driving car gets angry at the the Time Travelling, as it swerves around Emmett
and the Delorean.
MAN
Get out of the way, you stupid Turd!
Emmett is stunned by this, as the Fiat speeds off towards Hill Valley.
He composes himself and takes a deep breath.
EMMETT
I'm back.
(momentary pause)
That was Henry Stevens.
I am in 1925.
EXT. HILL VALLEY TIME SQUARE. 8:45 P.M.
EXT. HILL VALLEY COURTHOUSE.
EXT. CLOCKTOWER.
The clock is still running. The big hand moves to 8:46 P.M.
THE CAMERA MOVES DOWNWARD.
EXT. EMMETT BROWN.
He stares up at the iconic Hill Valley monument. Little does he know that in thirty years time, it will be struck by
lightening and never work again.
There are few Townfolk walking through town. Women wearing Bright Clothes, some in short Flapper fashion
and bobbed hairstyle, some wear massive hats. Few Men are smartly dressed in suits and Top Hats.
A few 1920's pass and park up. Cadillacs, Chrylers, Renault 6 etc.
EXT. FLOOZY BAR
Residents are seen heading into the local brewary, previously known as the Palace Saloon in the late 1880's.
Emmett looks up at the Clock Tower and syncronizes his watch, to the exact same time.
He realizes that a certain event, will happen in the Town Square shortly. An event he witnessed
at five years old, while sleep walking.
EMMETT
Twenty Nine Minutes to go.
A mere half hour, until I undertand what it's all about.
EXT. BROWN MANSION 1640 RIVERSIDE DRIVE. 9:55 P.M.
Residence of Edhardt Brown.
INT. BEDROOM.
A room with Scientific like toys on tables. Books stacked on shelves.
THE CAMERA PANS TO A MALE INFANT FAST ASLEEP
INT. YOUNG EMMETT
Boy about five years old.
Suddenly, the boy's eyes dart open and he jolts up in a catatonic like stare.
He's gets out of bed and slowly walks out of his room. The young boy appears
to be sleepwalking.
INT. DOWNSTAIRS HALLWAYS
Young Emmett walks down the staircase and to the Main Front Door.
He unlocks it and makes his way out into the cold Winter night.
EXT. NIGHT.
Young Emmett is seen walking down the Driveway and into the street.
CLOSE UP
Young Emmett is in a trance.
INT. BROWN MANSION.
INT. EDHARDT BROWN.
Formerly Von Braun.
A middle aged German-American. Emmett's father leaves his private quarters and makes his way up the staircase.
He enters his son's room and he freezes, with a sense of fear. Emmett is nowhere to be seen. He spins around and walks
marches quickly to the Bathroom.
EDHARDT
Emmett!
INT. BATHROOM
Dark.
Edhardt switches the light on. Emmett is not in there.
Edhardt has a fearful realization.
EDHARDT
Oh my God. Not again.
PART IV FOOTAGE
EXT. MILLERS GARAGE 9:06 P.M.
The building is in flames. An inferno set by Irving and Buford Tannen.
EXT. MARTY MCFLY SR
The foRty seven year Old of 2015 stands embracing his daughter following the rescue.
EXT. LINDA MCFLY.
Seventeen Years Old, also of 2015, is elated to be reunited with father, who was held captive.
Marty breathes a sigh of relief.
MARTY
You never get rid of me that easy.
Nobody messes with the Mcfly's.
Linda smiles, as she is happy her father is safe.
EXT. LORRAINE.
Forty Seven Year Old of 1985. Also rescued from the fire. She heard Marty's reference.
EXT. JULES BROWN
Doc Browns son, checks on William.
JULES
You alight Will?
EXT. WILLIAM MCFLY
Marty's Great Grandfather.
WILLIAM
I owe you a debt of gratitude Mr Brown.
EXT. DELOREAN TIME MACHINE.
Lorraine glances to the Time Vehicle. She soon has a realization.
LORRAINE
How did I not know?
(to herself)
It explains everything
Marty and Linda freeze - wondering what Lorraine possibly knows.
LINDA
Explains what Grand -
I mean Lorraine?
LORRAINE
That is exactly what I'm talking about.
(her attention turns to Marty)

(Lorraine then has another realization and then has an astonished look on her face)

MARTY SR
Well..
Lorraine is still reeling from her experience in the Prohibition Eraand the realization of who Marty really is.
LORRAINE
Marty, you don't need to explain.
(clears her head)
I need a stiff drink.
William frown to Lorraine's outburst.
WILLIAM
Is she OK?
JULES
Hallucinations. Happens occasionally after smoke inhalation.
Lorraine wonders, who the mystery men are that saved their lives.
LORRAINE
By the way, who are you two guys?
MARTY SR
They're Doc's sons M- Mom.
Jules and Verne Brown.
EXT VERNE BROWN
Doc's youngest offspring.
VERNE
We have been to Ninteen -Eighty Five before by the way.
JULES
Well, that's not important right now.
Linda looks around the street. The sound of sirens can be heard. Jules acknowledges the sirens.
JULES
Here comes our rescue team.
VERNE
Yep. Buford and son will be behind bars together.
The Tannens are out of sight.
LINDA
Where are those assholes?
EXT. FORD COUPE.
The Tannens make their escape and are seen speed off down the road. The Browns and Mcfly's look annoyed.
CLOSE UP OF LINDA
LINDA
Perfect. Just perfect.
LORRAINE
Them Bastards won't be so perfect, after I'm done with them.
VERNE
Mrs Mcfly, calm yourself.
JULES
Don't worry. They can't outwit...
Jules turns around.
THE DELOREAN TIME MACHINE IS SEEN SPEEDING OFF!
Jules is caught off Guard by this abrupt act.
JULES
...The Delorean.
Everybody looks around to see who's missing out of everybody rescued. Marty has suddenly vanished from then scene.
Linda realizes, Marty has gone after Buford and Irving Tannen.
LINDA
Oh my God.
Dad.
EXT. POLICE CARS.
Authorities show up.
EXT. EDHARDT BROWN.
Rushes over to Jules.
EDHARDT
Oh, Mr Brown!
Jules acknowledges his desperate Grand Father.
JULES
Evening Gramp -
I mean Mr Brown
Edhardt rushes over and grips Jules arm tightly. Edhardt is out of breath.
EDHARDT
It's happened again.
JULES
What has?
EDHARDT
Emmett! He's sleep walking again!

CLOSE UP
Emmett is sleepwalking barefoot down the Dark Street and appears to be very cold and is shivering.
THE CAMERA PANS ABOVE EMMETT AND TO THE HILL VALLEY TOWN SQUARE OF WHICH THE COURTHOUSE/CLOCK TOWER
IS VISIBLE.
