[2 Days Later]

Bella didn't put herself in the position of being alone with Thomas again. She wasn't sure why she jumped into bed with the guy, she just knew that she wasn't ready for anything like that, and she had to focus. If she lost sight of the focus, then that meant she would fail in getting people out of here. She suited up in the main hut, twirling her machete in one hand when Thomas came in. She looked at him. "Are you sure you can run today?"

"Yeah. Minho isn't feeling well. He's feverish, which isn't uncommon around here when you work too much. Practically having to force him to stay here." Thomas said with a sigh.

Bella nodded. Minho didn't like getting sick, but he was overdoing it lately, and he's made himself dehydrated and with that, came a slight fever. "Alright. Section seven is where this thing came from." She picked up the cylindrical object and tossed it to Thomas and he caught it. "We're going to search the maze, see where this thing leads us."

"Sounds like a plan." He said with a nod and then looked at her. He wasn't stupid. He knew that she had been avoiding him since that night. "Bella…"

"Thomas." She said with a nod.

"About the other night…" he began.

Bella sighed. "Thomas, we're not going to talk about it. Especially not now." She said and then she made sure her pack was on her. "Let's get moving." She said and brushed past him, walking out of the hut, and jogged towards the entrance into the maze.

Thomas sighed, and put the object in his own pack, and followed Bella.

Jasper and Newt were at the wall when Bella and Thomas jogged up. "Sucks about the new rule, or I'd run with you." Jasper said to Bella.

Bella smiled. "Well, Thomas here is fast. We'll be alright. We might not even figure out where that thing goes." She pointed out. "Take care of Minho, and make him rest. I don't want him up and walking around when he needed to recuperate."

"Aye, aye." Newt said with a smile. "You guys be careful." He said as the wall started opening.

Bella knew that anytime she went into the maze, there was a chance of death, and so did all the runners. She looked to Thomas, who had a serious look on his face as he watched the entrance open. He was strong, and had some great leadership qualities about him. He was the spark that they all needed to keep going. After being there five years, you sort of lose steam after a while.

They jogged into the maze, silent as they ran. Bella knew this section well, despite section 1 being her primary section and 7 was Ben's.

The sun overhead was already hot even though it wasn't even halfway in the sky. Bella often wondered by it was so hot, but she never really voiced anything. Sweat beaded on their skin as they jogged at an even pace, searching the walls. So far, there were no new walls, like they had found in the other sections.

They looked in every corner of the maze, including dead ends, until they got to the blades. The blades were tall, reaching towards the sky, and were open right now. A noise sounded, like something was booting up, and Bella frowned, and took the object from Thomas's bag. It was beeping.

Thomas took it and turned it over in his hands, and studied it and then they started forward again, the beeping getting faster as they got close to something.

When they came to a wall, Bella frowned. "This doesn't make sense."

Suddenly the wall shifted, and slid open, and Thomas and Bella looked at each other, before walking forward into the dark alley like path.

The beeping got intense until they got to another wall, and it opened into darkness. They waited a moment, and then suddenly a red laser shot out, scanning Bella and Thomas. The rumbling of the walls made Thomas and Bella take a few steps back, and then the walls started closing again.

"Shit, we gotta move." Bella said as she sprinted with Thomas out of the ally. The blades were turning, and shutting. "We have to make it out of here or we'll be trapped in the blades!" She shouted.

Thomas sprinted alongside Bella, as the blades spun and closed, they had to dodge and weave to try and stay ahead. His lungs burned from the overexertion, and his legs quaked at how hard he was running, but he continued to push harder and harder, so he wouldn't get trapped.

Bella was ahead of him, leaping over the ground as it cracked and shifted. She glanced over at him, making sure he was still with her, as she sprinted hard. They managed to escape the blades, and they fell to their knees, panting hard from their run, while that part of the maze locked up. Sweat poured off them as they tried to catch their breath.

After a few long moments, Bella finally spoke. "That was new."

"Yeah. That must be where the grievers go in the morning." Thomas said, getting to his feet, and wiping the sweat from his brow.

Bella got to her feet to, looking around. "Yeah. Perhaps. Let's get back, tell the others what happened." She said and then they started a light jog even though their legs told them to stop.

Back in the Glade, Bella and Thomas went to Minho's hut, meeting Jasper and Newt there.

"We found where the grievers go to stay during the day." Bella said. "The blades are closed up, but tomorrow, section 1 will be open, and we can investigate it more."

Minho sat up in his cot. He was feeling a lot better after being forced to rest for a while. "So, we have to wait 9 more days to come around before we hit section 7 again."

Jasper nodded. "Yeah. Seems like this might be the way out. You said a red beam shot out and scanned you?"

"Yeah, then everything started shutting down." Thomas said.

Gally stalked in then, his face still holding that same scowling look. "So, what did you do this time? Hmm? The box is coming back up."

Bella and Jasper looked at each other before rushing out of Minho's hut, and they rushed towards the box, and waited as it surfaced and opened. She looked inside to find a girl, more people gathered around, and the girl looked up, startled, sucking in a breath, and looking scared. It was the normal response to when someone came up in the box the first time.

"Hey, it's okay. We're not going to hurt you." Bella said, and then the girl's eyes latched on to hers.

"Bella…" The girl murmured, and then she passed out.

Bella frowned and straightened.

"Did she just say your name?" Thomas asked.

"She did." Bella said and looked over at Emmett and motioned for him to get her out of the box. She turned and walked away, Gally right on her tail now.

"She said your name. You know her or something?" Gally was itching to just be punched in the face.

Bella whirled and looked at him. "You know as much as I do. I have never seen her before. The only thing I can remember is my name and waking up here and that's been that way the last five years. I suggest you get out of my fucking face before you end up in the pit." She growled out at Gally. Her patience was thin when it came to Gally.

Gally glared at her, but he opted to walk away.

Bella went back to her hut, wanting to think a moment. She didn't understand how the girl knew her name. It wasn't like she was wearing a nametag. She took a breath, running her hands over her face. Her door opened and Thomas was there. She sighed. "Thomas I-"

"The girl. I know who she is."

"What?" Bella frowned.

"She was in my dream. Like you. I don't know her name, but her face." Thomas said quickly. "The word…Wicked is mentioned. Wicked is good."

Bella wasn't sure what this meant. Thomas was also an oddball. "Why are you getting flashes of memory and none of us are?"

"I don't know. I wish I knew and could remember." Thomas said, sighing.

"Don't tell anyone else that you get these flashes. Does it only happen in your dreams?"

Thomas shook his head. "Once in a while, the way you turn or say something…brings a flash."

"We're connected somehow." Bella murmured.

Thomas got a flash of him kissing her and her smiling up at him. He swallowed.

Bella studied him. "It happened again?"

"Yeah."

"What was it this time?"

"Us." Thomas said. "Bella, I think we were involved before…before the Glade. I'm not sure."

Bella looked away, feeling a pain in her heart. "I loved Alby, Thomas. I can't shut that off."

"I know. I don't want you to doo that. Bella…nothing makes sense right now. The only thing that matters is getting out of here so we can escape this prison." Thomas said, his voice passionate. He was close to Bella, looking down into her impossibly dark eyes.

Bella stared at him for a few moments before she pressed against him, her mouth seeking his. She reached over and latched the door, her mouth not moving from his, their tongues clashing together in a furious passion.

They started stripping fast, their hands eager to explore, but there was no time. He went to her cot with her, his cock finding her entrance dripping for him as he plunged inside, filling her up tight. He thrust fast and deep, shattering her inside, before she was clenching around him before busting open. She bit her lip to keep quiet, and then he was pushing faster and harder before he found himself emptying out inside her. He groaned quietly as the sweet taste of release washed over him. They took a moment before they pulled away, pulling their clothes on quickly.

Bella was dazed at how good she felt right now, but then the sinking feeling of Alby edged into her mind. She turned away from Thomas, composing herself, before she unlocked the door on her hut, and walked out.

Thomas sighed, running his hands over his face. He was getting whiplash from watching her leave so fast.

Jasper found her as she walked towards the rest of camp. "Hey." He said softly, stopping in front of her. "The girl is still sleeping. There were some more supplies and a note saying that she was the last one."

"What does that mean?" Bella asked, frowning.

"Well, I can only guess that it means that no more people are going to be sent up here to the Glade." Jasper said and shook his head. "Doesn't make sense. For over five years, we've been doing this. So, what has changed?"

Bella shook her head. "Alby died. We killed a griever, and we unlocked a hidden part of the maze. Not to mention new walls are showing up, and an entirely different section."

Jasper thought about it all. "It did all start with Thomas arriving. We would have never killed that griever if it wasn't for Thomas."

Bella looked around, and then grabbed Jasper's hand and hauled him away from people, going into the woods to the map room. When they were alone, she turned and looked at him. "No one knows about this."

Jasper raised a brow. "I know a lot, Bella. Remember I was best friends with Alby."

"Thomas has flashes of memories. Ones that have me in them, and the girl that just came up today." Bella said quickly and with a hushed voice.

Jasper gaped at her shocked. "And you're just now telling me this?"

"He just…"She sighed and ran her hands over her face.

"You're sleeping with him." Jasper murmured, seeing the confliction roll over her face.

Bella frowned. "What?"

Jasper sighed. "Do you remember him at all?"

"No. I only remember my name and that's it. Thomas said that he's had flashes of us…being involved, and then there was a time…he told me about this before. He told me about a dream he had with me and another girl in it. He also said something about Wicked." Bella explained and crossed her arms. "What does this mean?"

Jasper frowned. "He said Wicked? You're sure?"

"Yeah. Why?"

Jasper seemed to be thinking now. "I didn't really understand it until now." He said and then he went to the map table and pulled the sheet off it. "The blades."

"What about them?"

"When section seven is open, I thought maybe the way they were facing…. was odd. Because they're so tall, we're not sure what it looks like from above, but I kept studying it, and it looks like the blades try to spell something." Jasper explained.

Bella looked at the map. "I don't know. I don't see it."

Jasper moved some of the wood shivs closer together, since the spacing wasn't exact, and then a 'w' formed.

"I'll be damned." Bella murmured.

Jasper moved more and it looked like it was spelling Wicked. "I thought maybe I was just seeing things, trying to look for clues, and maybe my eyes were just trying to make something up, but if Thomas mentioned Wicked, then the two definitely have to be connected."

"Right."

"Which begs the question. Why is it he is remembering you and the girl? Is it because when they sent him here, whatever they use to wipe our memories, didn't take hold on him as well?" Jasper was just theorizing. They all had theorized that the people that put them here wiped their memories.

There was a commotion from the center part of the Glade and Thomas was shouting. Bella and Jasper looked at each other, and then they rushed out, sprinting to the Glade finding Ben trying to kill Thomas. Jasper tackled Ben, taking him to the ground, and they saw the spidering veins that consumed his face. He was growling, and screaming, and then Jasper knocked him out with one punch, because Ben was strong right now.

Bella went to Thomas, helping him to his feet. She saw the busted lip, and he was panting, she brushed his hair out of his face. "Hey you good?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm good."

Bella nodded. "Rose, Emmett, Jake. Help get Ben to the med-hut. Rose, can you look him over please?"

Rosalie nodded. Rosalie was the soft spoken one and was really sweet natured for the most part. Her golden ringed hair was pulled back in a braid, and she went with Emmett and Jake as they carried Ben to the med hut so she could look him over.

"Bella, the girl is awake. She's asking for you and Thomas." Newt said in her ear when he trotted over.

Bella frowned, and then looked at Thomas. They both moved towards the hut that they put the girl in. She walked in, seeing the girl sitting up on the side of a cot. Her hair was long, dark like Bella's and it had a slight wave at the bottom, and it brushed just past her shoulders. Her eyes were dark brown like Bella's, and she looked scared. "I'm here. Thomas is here. Can you tell us how you know us?"

The girl looked around the hut. "Um. I remember who I am."

"Alright." Thomas said with a nod. "Who are you?"

"Teresa."

Bella blinked a few times, frowning, as an image popped into her head.

"Teresa, I don't like this." Bella said, staring at her friend. Her dark eyes were apprehensive, and she didn't like the idea of sending more people to a place like the Glade. "This isn't right. You know it."

Teresa looked around before she looked at Bella. "We have to do this. This is much larger than us."

"Thomas agrees with me. We're sending people to die Teresa. Doesn't that bother you?"

Thomas walked up, blowing out a breath. They were all hunkered by a stairway of some sort, the gray metal a dull color, as was most of the walls in this place. "Bella, baby, Esme is looking for you."

Bella looked at Thomas and then sighed. "What does my mother want now?" She said in a harsh whisper.

"Not sure." Thomas said.

Bella's eyes were wide, tears shining as she stared at Teresa as the memory hit her.

Thomas frowned looking at Bella. "Bella, bab- "he started and frowned, looking away, confusion hitting him.

Newt's hands came up to steady Bella as she swayed. "Hey. It's okay." He coaxed. "Tell me what's going on."

Bella shook her head. "Uh, I just…. had a memory." She murmured and her eyes met Thomas.

Newt looked at Teresa. "Do you know why you're here?"

Teresa shook her head. "No. I just remember my name, and then their faces and names. Why am I here? Where is here?"

Bella reached up and swiped the few tears that fell down her face. "The Glade and you are the last one to be sent up." She said and wondered if Teresa remembered anything else. But for now, she would have to figure out what was happening, and why.
