Hello~

So I just wanted to drop a little update, for those of you who might care.

Yes, I'm still alive. No, I don't plan on stopping the story anytime soon. I'm an adult person with adult chores, and a job, and I've been procrastinating since the age of 5. Meaning: I work slow. But I'm trying. Right now, for example, I'm finishing up editing the newest chapter so that should be up in a couple of days. Don't expect more than one chapter a month… but I'm trying! In my defense, it's almost always like a 15-20 page chapter, at least according to Google Docs.

But if I ever get REAL slow on an update, or seem like I've been MIA for a long time, feel free to either leave a review or shoot me a message. That usually sends me a notification email, which reminds my scattered brain that I even have a fanfiction I'm in the middle of writing, and it helps me pick it back up. Usually, when I release a chapter our of the blue it's because of some random person who did just that, so just something to keep in mind.

And just as a personal side note/ rant:

I constantly get messages claiming Katerina is a Mary Sue and, honestly, at this point I don't really care anymore. If she's a Mary Sue, I'm fine with that. Personally, I don't think she's perfect by any means. She's selfish, childish, arrogant, and there's plenty of people who don't like her, but sure. Don't really see what's so awful about a Mary Sue either, or why there's such a stigma around that kind of character, but I digress. I like Katerina, I like her character, I like the way I've written it, and I'm keeping it that way. Some of the early writing isn't great, obviously, but that's because I started this thing in middle school/ early high school (can't remember) and I was a shitty writer. I still kinda am, but less so now I would hope. And obviously she's part of all the major plot points, the point is to have the same story but from a Slytherin perspective. What would be the point of writing all seven years if all I was gonna mention was the Triwizard Tournament and the Second Wizarding War? Because that's literally all that would stand out to the average Hogwarts student.

Also, I know this probably doesn't apply to any of you since anyone who has this complaint long left 100+ chapters ago, but if you have any actual critique/criticism/general comment please don't write it anonymously. I would be more than happy to talk to you about why my writing is so terrible and why I've made the awful character choices that I've made because, believe it or not, it all ties together in the end… mostly. There's like one or two things that I don't remember why I wrote in but we'll worry about those later ~ Or if you just want to say hello, I'm good with that too. Contrary to internet stereotypes, I'm much friendlier online than I am in person :3

p.s. Lmao to the person who told me the whole story was ruined because Katerina decided to date George. Like, damn, all those years just wasted, huh. Lol you legitimately got a laugh out of me. Probably not the reaction you intended, but I appreciated it.
