Hello everyone, this is something I wrote years ago that I have decided to turn into a fanfic. If you find any mistakes ie:names that don't make sense, I'm sorry it's hard to go through and make sure every name got changed correctly. Thanks again for reading and I hope you enjoy.

Arizona looked out over the screaming crowd, taking a deep breath, with a fake smile on her face she began her last song.

If I ever write the story of my life
Don't be surprised if you're where it begins
Girl, I'd have to dedicate every line on every page
To the memories we made, while you loved me

I was born the day you kissed me
And I died inside the night you left me
But I lived, oh how I lived

I'd start with chapter one, love innocent and young
As a morning sun on a new day
Even though I know the end, Well I'd do it all again
'Cause I got a lifetime in while you loved me

I was born the day you kissed me
And I died inside the night you left me
But I lived, oh how I lived
While you loved me

I was born the day you kissed me
And I died inside the night you left me
But I lived, oh how I lived
While you loved me

I was born the day you kissed me
And I died inside the night you left me
But I lived, oh how I lived
While you loved me

I was born the day you kissed me
And I died inside the night you left me
But I lived, oh how I lived

While you loved me

I was born the day you kissed me
And I died inside the night you left me
But I lived, oh how I lived

While you loved me

I was born the day you kissed me
And I died inside the night you left me
But I lived, oh how I lived

While you loved me

Opening her eyes, as she sang the last words, she looked out over the crowd, not focusing on anything it was just for show, fighting back the tears, she took a deep breath. "thank you all for coming out tonight" trying to keep the emotion out of her voice, she smiled and headed off the stage. She made her way to the dressing room, once inside she found the couch and plopped down, letting out a sigh. That last song she sang, also made her feel spent. Closing her eyes, getting lost in her thoughts, she didn't hear anyone enter the room.

"Arizona" the voice said softly

"what" she said annoyed

"are you alright?"

"yes April, I'm fine" she sighed, April always had a way of interrupting her thoughts

"you don't look fine" April said sitting down

sighing again "I am" turning her attention to a knock at the door

"excuse me, Miss Robbins"

"yes" Arizona said trying to keep the annoyance out of her voice, adding a fake smile

"there's someone here who says they know you" the security guard said.

"she's busy" April snapped, looking at the security guard

"who is it?" Arizona asked, shaking her head as she gave April another annoyed look

"she said her name is Callie, Callie Torres" the two women both looked at each other in shock at hearing the name.

"let her in please" April said as Arizona was too shocked to speak, and had lost all ability to do anything once the Latina goddess stepped into view. They hadn't set eyes on each other in two years.

"Arizona" Callie said with a half-smile.

"Calliope" Arizona said standing up "it's, it's so good to see you" the sight of the woman took her breath away.

"It's good to see you too Arizona" she replied shyly, not realizing that seeing Arizona again, in person, was going to make her react like this. She wasn't completely sure why she was there, there was something inside of her that told her she had to see Arizona again, it had been too long.

"can I get a large caramel latte" Arizona asked not paying much attention to the cashier

"anything else ma'am?"

"no, just the coffee, thank you"

"that'll be $4.25"

"here you go" Arizona said handing the cashier a 5 finally looking up and making eye contact, she lost all ability to speak.

"here's your change" the cashier stammered out, losing all ability to speak as she got lost in the blue eyes that were staring into hers.

"thank you" Arizona said reaching to take her change as their hands brushed, both feeling the electricity flow through their bodies. The cashier just smiled shyly and nodded. Then turned around to get the coffee. "thank you" Arizona smiled, turning around.

"what's that look for?" Arizona heard as she made her way to the table

"what look?"

"the look on your face, you look all flustered" Arizona's sister Teddy said

"no I don't" Arizona said glancing back at the counter where she had just been.

"ah" Teddy said following her gaze. "she's pretty hot"

"who is?"

"the cashier" Teddy giggled.

"hmm" Arizona hummed not really paying attention to the conversation, she was still too busy looking at the counter, or more importantly the person behind the counter. "wait what?"

"ha, caught ya" Teddy laughed "what's her name"

"what?" Arizona finally looked at her sister

"the girl behind the counter, that has you all flustered, what's her name?"

"oh eh, I, I don't know" she was confused

"isn't she wearing a name tag?" Teddy laughed, she'd never seen her sister like this before

"I didn't notice"

"oh, right you were too busy checking her out"

"something like that" Arizona sighed giving into her sister's antics.

"well we're about to find out" Teddy said nodding in the direction. When Arizona turned around she was met with a set of the most beautiful chocolate brown eyes she had ever seen.

"hi, I, eh, I wanted to come and introduce myself, I'm Callie" she said holding out her hand.

Arizona lost all ability to move let alone speak "her name is Arizona" Teddy said coming to the rescue of her sister, shaking Callie's hand "and I'm her amazing sister Teddy"

"hi Teddy" Callie smiled "Arizona, it's nice to meet you"

"eh, it's nice to meet you too" Arizona finally managed squeak out.

"so, um, this may sound kind of forward of me, but I'm done in a half hour, I was wondering if you'd like to have coffee with me" she asked, hoping they couldn't hear how nervous she was

"well, um" Arizona said pointing to her cup that was still full

"she'd love too" Teddy chimed in again, gaining a look from her sister.

"um" Callie cleared her throat, confused as to why Arizona wasn't answering

"I'd love to" Arizona finally squeaked out

"great, so I'll meet you right here in a half hour" Callie said raising an eyebrow

"yes" Arizona smiled

"ok" Callie smiled her shy smile "I have to get back" she nodded towards the counter

"ok" Arizona said not knowing what else to say, nor did she have the ability to say anything else, she just sat there and watched Callie walk back towards the counter.

"she's got a nice ass" Teddy said watching the woman walk back to the counter

"really?" Arizona said looking at her sister.

"hey someone had to say something" Teddy giggled "you were just sitting there like an idiot"

"shut up" Arizona said tossing a napkin at her.

"you have a date" Teddy sang, teasing her sister

"yeah, I guess I do" Arizona said letting it sink in, finally letting a smile appear on her face.

"what are you going to wear" Teddy asked, she was enjoying this power she had over her sister

"will you shut up"

"why? I'm having fun"

"you like that coffee you have there?" Arizona asked pointing to the cup that Teddy had between her hands.

"why yes I do thank you"

"you're going to be wearing it in a minute"

"oh, come on Zo, you know damn well if the roles were reversed you'd be having a hell of a lot more fun with it than I am"

"yeah, I'm just nervous, the last time I had a date was Julie, and everyone knows how well that worked out" Arizona giggled taking a sip of her coffee

"Arizona, Julie wasn't ready for a relationship, hell she couldn't even decide what she wanted" Teddy said giggling "she wasn't right for you, all of us could tell the moment you brought her home. Once you guys left mom and dad both made a comment about it"

"really? Why didn't anyone say anything to me?"

"you're an adult, you need to figure this shit out on your own, and honestly would you have listened?"

"no probably not" she laughed "but what was that?" Arizona asked pointing towards the counter with her thumb

"that was me helping you figure it out" Teddy smiled

"sounds like a contradiction if you ask me" she said giggling at her sister who was also her best friend.

"yeah well how else are you supposed to find Mrs. right? You obviously can't do it on your own" Teddy shrugged

"hmm, thanks" Arizona said glancing back at the counter

"besides, look at her?"

"I have, which is why I'm having trouble breathing, why would someone who looks like that want someone like me" Arizona asked sadly

"you don't see it do you?" Teddy reached across the table taking her sister's hand "you're an amazing person, Julie was just too dumb to see it, just relax you'll do just fine" "thanks sissy" Arizona looked up smiling at her sister.

"oh, looks like that's my cue to take off" Teddy winked picking up her cup that was still half full.

"stay until she gets over here" Arizona pleaded, causing Teddy to shake her head and put down her cup.

"you're that nervous?" Arizona nodded with a pleading look "ok calm down" Teddy smiled, trying hard not to laugh "it'll be ok, just have coffee, if you don't like her don't call her"

"it's that easy?"

"guys do it all the time, hell I've had it done to me far more times than I'd rather admit" Teddy smiled. "just relax sissy, everything will be fine" she added with a smile as Callie walked up to the table. "I'll talk to you later Arizona, Callie, it was good to meet you"

"bye "Arizona said not wanting her to leave

"it was good meeting you too" Callie said nervously as she sat down in the seat that Teddy had just vacated clearing her throat "so do you need more coffee?"

"um" Arizona picked up her cup "no actually it's still pretty full"

"ok" Callie nodded. They sat in awkward silence for a few minutes.

"alright so I'm not very good at this whole first meeting thing" Arizona finally broke the silence

"neither am I" Callie said letting out the breath she was holding.

"alright so we'll just get this over with I'm Arizona Robbins, I'm 22, a Leo, I love animals, my favorite color is purple, and I love to write music and sing. My dream is to someday become a musician"

"wow" Callie said not really sure how to take what Arizona had just said "well I'm Callie Torres, I am 20, also a Leo, I too love animals, my favorite color is also purple, my dream job is to become a meteorologist although I should have gone to college 2 years ago for that" she said giggling.

"nice"

"my second dream is to become an author"

"you like to write?" Arizona asked intrigued

"yeah, mostly short stories, but I'm working on a book"

"a book huh?" the blonde asked impressed

"mmhmm" Callie smiled moving in her chair to get more comfortable "what instruments do you play?"

"guitar, piano, a little on the drums, although I can't seem to get the hand movements right with the beat, and I sing"

"maybe you can play for me sometime"

"I'd like that, but I haven't played for anyone besides my family, to be honest I don't have many friends, my sister you just met, she's my best friend" Arizona admitted feeling a little pathetic

"there's nothing wrong with that" Callie smiled Arizona looked up, as they both got lost in each other's eyes, as the conversation began to flow easy from there.

"Arizona" Callie said trying to get her attention.

"hmm" she hummed, shaking her head trying to clear the image she had

"are you ok?" Callie asked moving closer, it was the closest the two had been in years, but it seemed like they were light years away from each other

"yeah, I, eh, I'm ok" Arizona said clearing her throat. "so, what brings you by?"

"honestly?" Callie looked directly into Arizona's eyes "I missed you"

"oh"

"Arizona honey, do you need anything" April asked pointing to the door

"no, I'm good thanks"

"honey huh?" Callie said looking down at the floor, trying to not let her emotions get the better of her.

"huh? Oh April? No, no, no, April is my manager, she just calls me honey because well, she's from the south and that's what they do" Arizona shrugged her shoulders.

"so, you're not seeing anyone?"

"not unless you count my shrink, who I'm supposed to be seeing on Monday" she shrugged

"you're seeing a shrink?"

"yeah" Arizona frowned not too proud of it "after things ended, I needed something, and after Teddy found me passed out on the bathroom floor of a hotel room she made me start seeing one. And with all this" she moved her hand around the room in emphasis "it can be a bit much"

"ah" Callie finally feeling herself relax, she didn't like the feeling of knowing that she was the reason Arizona was seeing a shrink

"come on in, have a seat" Arizona said motioning towards the couch. "I've missed you too" she added looking at the floor.

Callie needing some sort of contact, reached over touching Arizona's arm, and said softly "hey"

"do you want to get out of here?" Arizona asked finally looking her in the eye, trying hard not to lose control, but it was hard, she hadn't looked into those eyes in so long.

"I'd love to" Callie smiled her tone hopeful,

"we can go back to the hotel and talk" Arizona said standing up

"I like the sound of that"

"good" she said reaching her hand out to help Callie up, just like she had done a million times before. Feeling the sparks that had always been present between the two since the day they met when Callie took her hand, Arizona pulled her close. "it's really good to see you"

"yes, it is" Callie said barely audible, the smell of Arizona's shampoo mixed with the body spray she used, and the sweat. Her thoughts were instantly brought back to the day they met.

"I had a good time" Arizona said

"so did I" Callie smiled. "can I see you again?"

"I'd like that" Arizona smiled back at her, patting her coat pockets for the pen and notebook she always kept with her, finding it she pulled it out "here's my number, call me"

"oh I will" Callie winked.

"oh looks like that's my cue" Arizona said looking up and seeing Teddy standing just outside the coffee shop looking impatient

"guess we have been here for a while" Callie laughed looking at her phone and noticing it was after 7, she had gotten off work at 4 and they were getting ready to close for the night.

"yeah" Arizona smiled.

"how about I call you later" Callie said holding up the piece of paper Arizona had just given her

"I'd like that" Arizona said standing up reaching out her hand to help Callie up. Then pulled her in for a hug, whispering "I'll talk to you later"

"ok" Callie said as nothing else was coming out, she was too lost at the feeling of being in Arizona's arms. The smell of Arizona's shampoo and body spray engulfed her nose. It was a smell she knew she'd remember forever, as Arizona let her go, lightly touching her hand before she walked away. Callie stood there dumbfounded as she watched Arizona walk away.

"looks like someone had a good time" Meredith, one of Callie's coworkers and friend said smiling.

"I did, she's amazing"

"she's gotta be to get you to stay here 3 hours after your shift ended" Meredith said in a smart-ass tone.

"yeah" Callie sighed looking at her friend. "there's something about her"

"I can tell by the look on your face"

"I'm going to get going, I'll call you later" Callie said leaning down to pick up her purse

"you better I want to know more details" Meredith smirked not wanting to pry any farther in public. Callie smiled at her friend and headed towards the door

"so, here's the menu, pick whatever you'd like, I have to" Arizona said using her thumb to point to the bathroom. Callie just smiled a knowing smile. Taking a deep breath once the door was closed. Arizona looked in the mirror "come on pull yourself together, just because you haven't seen her in 2 years doesn't mean anything" she said to herself then took a deep breath splashed some water on her face and left the bathroom.

"come on Torres, you got this, you knew what you were getting into when you bought the ticket for the show" Callie said trying to give herself a pep talk. She knew deep in her heart that they were meant for each other. One heart not fully functioning without the other, and seeing the way Arizona preformed that last song, she knew without a doubt that the blonde was feeling the exact same way. Shaking her head as she heard the bathroom door open as Arizona appeared.

"did you figure out what you want?"

"what?" Callie looked up confused

"to eat, did you figure out what you want to eat?" Arizona asked again.

"oh yeah, I'll have the chef salad"

"French and blue cheese, right?" Arizona smiled

Callie didn't say anything just smiled back. Noticing the difference in Arizona's figure, she noticed she was thinner, in her blue eyes which were the insight to everything Arizona, had a dullness, that had never been there before. As Arizona picked up the phone to order their dinner, Callie watched her every move, like she had done so many times in the past. Arizona was just so damn sexy. As Arizona glanced in her direction Callie gave her a smile. Wondering again why she was there.

"so" Arizona set down the phone "you look good"

"thank you" Callie said giving her a shy smile. "you do too"

"Calliope" Arizona sighed using her full name "words can't express how good it is to see you" she couldn't understand why she was so nervous. This was the woman of her dreams, the one she wanted to marry, her twin flame, why was she finding it so hard to talk to her. It almost reminded her of the day they met, although rough at the beginning conversation flowed nicely as time went on. Getting even more nervous as Callie had gotten up from the chair and joined her on the couch, making sure there was plenty of room between them, but needing to be closer.

"it's good to see you too" Callie smiled "Arizona, I" she paused letting out a sigh "why is this so hard to say"

"what is it? Is everything ok?" Callie heard the concern in her voice, that she so had missed.

"I love you" Callie blurted out

"I love you too" the words flowed out of her mouth before she even had a chance to think about it

"wait there's more" Callie said looking Arizona directly into those blue eyes she fell hard for all those years ago, sighing "I" she paused again "fuck it" she said standing up reaching into her pocket. "I know we have a lot to talk about and we'll get to it" she said getting down on one knee "Arizona Marie Robbins, will you marry me?" After what seemed like forever of silence Arizona looked up meeting Callie's eyes in a sad tone said "Calliope, I" she ran her hand through her long blonde hair "I love you, I have no doubt about that, but I don't think I'm ready to marry you"

"oh" she heard the disappointment in Callie's voice and went on to say "you didn't let me finish. How about we just enjoy each other's company, and see where it goes"

"you don't want to be with me anymore?" Callie said trying hard to hold back the tears.

"oh baby, no, it's not that" Arizona said moving forward, so she was inches from her face, taking her face in her hands "I so want to say yes, but we have been apart for a long time"

"two years isn't that long"

"baby, listen to me please" Arizona said softly "Calliope, I love you, I have never stopped. You are all I ever think about"

"why won't you marry me then"

"because it's too soon" Arizona said trying hard to get the Latina to understand her reasoning behind the denial "here, how about I take this" Arizona said taking the ring and putting it on her left hand, surprised that it was the right size "I'll wear it as a promise ring, as a promise when we are BOTH ready, we will get married" making sure to put emphasis on the word both. Callie didn't say anything just looked into Arizona's eyes and nodded as the flood gates opened and tears came rushing. Arizona reached out and pulled her close. "I never meant to hurt you, I hope you know that. I love you Calliope" Callie sniffled and moved her head, so she could look at the woman who held her heart, she saw Arizona lean in placing a soft kiss on her lips. Feeling the same electricity, they felt the first time they kissed, all those years ago,

"hello" Arizona said with a smile, not knowing the number that just showed up on her phone, but knowing who it had to be, since she hadn't given her number to anyone else recently.

"hi" the nervous voice on the other end said. "sorry, I couldn't wait any longer to talk to you" it was an hour after they said their goodbyes at The Coffee House.

"good" Arizona said hoping Callie could hear the smile in her voice

"when can I see you again?" Callie asked in a hopeful tone "sorry to be so blunt"

"no, it's ok, I was just mentally trying to figure that out"

"how about dinner?"

"tonight?"

"or tomorrow, seeing it's already past 8" she giggled

"well "Arizona said walking into her bedroom, so she could have this conversation in private "I think I'd like that" as a smile appeared on her face "but tonight" she said quietly

"good, how about I pick you up in a half hour" Callie said as she looked in the mirror that was above her dresser, and smiled

"sounds good, you'll need my address" Arizona said rattling off her address.

"great I'll see you soon" Arizona could hear the smile in her voice

"see you soon" Arizona smiled pressing the end button.

"what was that?" Teddy said inviting herself into Arizona's room and plopped down on the bed "or more importantly who was that"

"Callie"

"got another date?"

"hmm" Arizona hummed she was in a daze

"wow"

"what?"

"two dates in one day? She must really be something"

"yeah"

"you going to sleep with her?"

"what?" Arizona said finally coming out of her daze looking at her sister

"ha got you out of it" Teddy laughed "I don't care if you sleep with her or not just wanted you back to reality"

"I don't know Teddy, I just met her, how can"

"how can you be feeling like you're in love already?"

"exactly"

"well, sissy poo, it's like this, you meet someone, and you just know"

"you believe that?"

"I do" Teddy smiled standing up "I'll let you get ready, we'll talk about this later"

"ok" Arizona said confused

"I think I'm outside" Callie's voice came through the phone

"I see you" Arizona said looking out the window

"should I come to the door?"

"unless you want Teddy to embarrass us both I wouldn't" Arizona laughed "I'll be out in a minute"

"sounds good"

Arizona finished grabbing her things and headed out the door, as she approached the car she saw Callie leaning against it. "you didn't tell me you are rich"

"I'm not, my parents both have good jobs" Arizona said rather embarrassed

"hmm" Callie smiled opening the car door, so Arizona could climb in.

"thank you" Callie just smiled as she shut the door. "alright here goes nothing" Arizona said to herself while taking a deep breath.

"I know it's getting late, but I don't think I'm ready to let you go yet" Callie said as they were walking back to the car from the restaurant.

"it is late" Arizona said stopping next to the car "I, I'm not ready for you to let me go yet"

"Arizona" Callie said reaching out her hand to touch Arizona's "I, god why is this so hard to say"

"what?" Arizona asked confused

"god, we just met" Callie smiled

"I think I know what you are saying, and I completely understand" Arizona said pulling her hand away from Callie's only to grab her and pull her in for a hug.

"how about we go back to my place and watch a movie?" Callie said pulling back to watch Arizona's facial expression

"I'd like that"

Callie smiled and opened the door, so Arizona could get in. "so, what do your parents do?" Callie asked as she put the car in gear, merging out onto the street.

"my mom is the morning anchor on channel 7 news and my dad produces the show" Jamie said trying to keep the embarrassment out of her voice "what about yours?"

"my dad is a pilot, so he's not home much" Callie said focusing on the road mentally preparing herself for the next question

"what about your mom" Arizona asked curiously, she saw Callie visibly take a deep breath stopped at a red light she looked over at her.

"my mom passed away just over a year ago," Callie said trying to keep the emotions under control.

"I'm sorry" Arizona said reaching out and placing her hand on her thigh

"it's ok, it's just still hard to talk about"

"we don't have to talk about it, but know if you ever want to, I'm here for you" Arizona said giving Callie's thigh a slight squeeze. She saw the smile appear on her face, and her fear of ruining the evening was diverted, both feeling the electricity of Arizona's touch, they gave each other a small smile, as the car pulled to a stop in the driveway of Callie's house.

"my dad is out of town, like always" Callie said rolling her eyes. "since mom died, he's never home" she trailed off shaking her head. "you ready?"

"mmhmm" Arizona nodded with a smile. Callie walked around the car and opened the door. "always the gentleman "Arizona said giggling.

"yeah that's me" Callie said reaching for her hand not even thinking about it, Arizona took it as they walked. Stepping into the house, it was a cozy little house tucked on the outskirts of town, 3 bedrooms, what Arizona thought to be a tiny kitchen. Well, anything was tiny compared to what she had at home. "would you like something to drink?"

"sure" Arizona said looking around the living room she noticed a family picture taken on the beach.

"that was taken when we were on vacation in Hawaii about five years back" Callie said coming up behind her. Arizona stood back and smiled as Callie handed her a can of coke, she nodded her thank you. "I don't know what kind of movies you like, I personally like chick flicks, guess I'm girly at heart" Callie giggled

"yeah me too" Arizona smiled looking Callie over, realizing just than exactly how beautiful she was, especially when she smiled.

"come have a seat" Callie said pointing to the couch, as she sat down and made herself comfortable, Arizona sat down beside her, not too close but still close enough to feel the heat from Callie's body. "hmm, I don't know what to watch, I've seen these all a million times"

"just pick something, or we could just listen to music and talk"

"I like that option" Callie said flipping the tv off and turning on the radio. "so" she added sitting back on the couch, realizing how close they were.

"so" Arizona said turning her head to look at Callie, "you're beautiful"

"thank you, so are you" Callie reached over to move a strand of hair behind Arizona's ear. As they both leaned in, their lips meeting, for their first kiss. Both feeling the electricity of each other's touch flow through their bodies. Adjusting herself, so she was in a better position, she felt Arizona's tongue slide across her bottom lip asking for entrance. She opened her mouth granting it access, when their tongues touch, the feeling of a powerful jolt of electricity flow through their bodies. Callie slowly pushed Arizona back so her back was on the couch, then slowly lay down on top of her, not once losing control of the kiss, that was quickly turning heated, as they fought for control, Callie felt Arizona's hand slide down her back and find the hem of her shirt. Pulling away, as the need to breathe swept over her she whispered "Arizona, we just met"

"Callie, I'm not ready for that either" Arizona whispered, looking into those brown eyes, she smiled, as their lips met again.

Well there's the first chapter, should I continue? What do you think? Are you curious as to what's in store? I'm not because I know the ending but let me know. I had a hard time trying to figure out who should be who, but I think this worked out.
