Hi everyone, here's a short chapter for you. Thanks for reading.
Chapter 3
Can you come into the office this afternoon? ~Ape
What time? ~Ari
Sometime this afternoon, doesn't matter when ~Ape
Alright see you later ~Ari
Later ~Ape
"dammit" Arizona groaned tossing her phone back on the side table
"what?" Callie asks rolling over placing her head on Arizona's chest.
"April wants me to meet her at the office later" she sighed
"why?"
"she didn't say" Arizona wrapped her arms around Callie.
"mm, I have to get up" Callie said trying to get free of Arizona's grip
"why"
"I have to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back" Callie said looking Arizona in the eye, leaning down for a quick kiss, then hopped out of the bed. Arizona watched as the sheet that had kept them warm throughout the night slid off Callie's body, revealing her breasts, a smile appeared on her face remembering her lips covering them just a few hours earlier. Lost in her thoughts she didn't hear Arizona come back into the room "what time do you have to meet April?"
"sometime this afternoon"
"hmm" Callie hummed climbing back into bed and laying her head back on Arizona's chest.

"I haven't heard from my sister in a while, you been keeping her busy?" Arizona asked as they walked into April's office, and got her answer by the blush on the woman's face. "never mind I have my answer, hey what's that on your neck?"
"huh, what?" April said frantically looking for the mirror that she kept in her desk drawer
"she's fucking with you" Callie laughed taking a seat on one of the chairs that were in front of the desk for visitors.
"bitch" April said throwing a pen at her.
"why am I here?" Arizona said sitting in the chair next to Callie
"oh yeah" April said looking down at the stack of papers on her not so tidy desk "here" she said handing Arizona a paper
"you want me to go back out on tour"
"I don't, I rather like being home" April said rolling her eyes
"if Arizona goes you have to go?" Callie asked confused, she wasn't sure how this whole thing worked
"yeah" April rolled her eyes sighing "unfortunately as her manager, I have to, and Brad thought since the last of your last tour was canceled"
"right" Arizona sighed "Teddy's gonna go insane"
"never mind Teddy, what about me?" Callie said not bothering to hide the fact that she was upset.
"it'll be fine baby" Arizona whispered reaching for Callie's hand, knowing what going on tour did to them last time, she gave her hand a tight squeeze.
"you can go with" April said looking at Callie, she saw the distress look in her eyes
"I can't, we went over this 2 years ago, nothing has changed on that aspect"
"sure it has" Arizona said gaining Callie's attention "a lot has changed, I know I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you. 2 years ago" Arizona paused, trying to find the right words that wouldn't make her fiancée go off the rails "I knew I was in love with you yes, no doubt about that, but it just feels different now"
"we'll talk about this later" Callie said pulling her hand away. Arizona looked up at April with a look that said 'oh shit I'm in trouble'
"well" April said clearing her throat "this is all I needed" Arizona nodded, and stood up holding her hand out for Callie, who ignored it and stood up on her own "I'll talk to you later" April said softly, Arizona nodded and followed Callie out of the office.
"you're really going to go back out on the road?" Callie asks once they were alone in the car
"I don't have a choice"
"yes, you do"
"what choice do I have? It's either I go on tour, or I quit"
"then quit" Callie spat out as she started the car and drove off in silence. Leaving Arizona sitting there lost in her thoughts. Arizona loved her job, she loved the feeling of standing up in front of a crowd of people all screaming her name, and yelling requests at her. She had at least 5 songs that hit the top 50 billboard list. Her fans loved her, but if Callie wasn't happy she didn't know what she could do. Could she sacrifice her career for love? She decided she'd try and reason with her "we aren't the same people we were 2 years ago" she said quietly looking out the window.
"I know we aren't, but"
"hey, I'm scared too. I know what this did to us last time" Arizona said looking over at Callie. "Calliope, what happened before, us being apart, I want none of that. I want you happy, and if quitting is what you want me to do then I'll quit"
There were a few moments of silence then a sigh "I don't want you to quit"
"we'll get through this, I promise, we'll talk every day and skype, video call, whatever you want"
"I need to let go of my insecurities if this relationship is ever going to work." Callie said not paying attention to what Arizona had just said. "we love each other and that's all that matters"
"yes, I love you and you love me, and that's all that matters" Arizona said realizing Callie hadn't heard a word she said so she just reached a hand over and placed it on her thigh "Calliope, I love you, always know that" Arizona saw Callie smile, that smile that she had fallen in love with all those years ago.

"dad, are you home" Callie called through the house
"in the kitchen"
"I'm gonna go upstairs and call Teddy" Arizona said leaning over to give Callie a kiss, as she nodded her ok. Callie watched Arizona climb the stairs, trying to hide the fact that she was upset she hadn't seen her dad much in the last few weeks.

"hey dork" Arizona said into the phone
"hi" the somber voice said Arizona could tell there was something up with her normally hyper sister
"you talk to April?"
"yeah" was all she could get out of her sister
"you know Callie's feeling the same way, right?"
"she's probably freaking out"
"yeah" Arizona sighed looking in the mirror "you know we won't be gone forever, and odds are that we'll have a few shows around here so we can come home"
"still doesn't make it any easier" Teddy sighed
"I know, hey I need you to do me a favor" Arizona said quietly
"what"
"can you keep Callie sane while I'm gone?"
"we can keep each other sane" Teddy said Arizona could hear her finally perk up.
"you forgot she'd still be here didn't you"
"I did" Teddy said with a chuckle. "I'll keep your wife entertained; you make sure my girlfriend doesn't mess around on me while you guys are out there"
"Oh trust me that won't happen, she's totally in love with you"
"what?"
"I said to much" Arizona giggled
"oh you're still on the phone" Callie said coming into the room sitting on the bed, putting her head in her hands
"Teds, I have to go I'll call you later" Arizona said pushing the end button and tossing her phone on the dresser "baby what's wrong"
"nothing" Callie said shaking her head
"Calliope, I know when something is bothering you, so tell me"
Taking a deep breath "my dad just told me he's moving to Seattle"
"wow" Arizona didn't know what to say, she knew how close Callie and her dad were, especially after her mom had passed. She knelt, so she was eye level with Callie. "when?"
"within the next few months" Callie said looking up at Arizona, right into her blue eyes "I can't take it right now, with the news of you leaving, and then him moving. What else is going to happen?" she said laying her head down on Arizona's chest.
"hey, why don't we go to Vegas and get married" Arizona said stroking her hair.
"seriously?" Callie said in a tone that let Arizona know she wasn't finding it funny
"or we could do it here?" Arizona said "whatever you prefer"
"Arizona, we can't" Callie started to say but was cut off by Arizona "we can" she paused taking Callie's face in her hands looking directly into her eyes "we can do anything we want to do"
"I have so many plans I wanted to do for the wedding" she said pulling away and sitting on the bed.
"so, we'll have another one here, baby" Arizona sat next to her on the bed, trying to get Callie to look at her again. She wasn't sure she knew what she was saying, she knew she wanted to marry the Latina, but was now the right time, quickly shaking those thoughts away, 'no time like the present' she thought to herself smiling "let's go this weekend, your dad, my parents, and of course Teddy"
"and April" Callie said sniffling
"you think Teddy would go without her?" Arizona giggled wiping a stray tear off Callie's face
"no" Callie said finally smiling
"come, let's go talk to dad, and then we'll call everyone else and make the arrangements" Arizona stood up holding her hand out like she always did to help Callie up. As she pulled her close saying "I love you" kissing her. Callie smiled leaning into the kiss.

"maybe it'd be easier if we just had dinner with everyone and told them all at once" Arizona suggested as they were walking down the stairs.
"yeah that does sound better. Then we aren't repeating ourselves"
"right" Arizona said pulling out her phone "you go talk to your dad and I'll call my parentals" she leaned in for a kiss as Callie smiled walking into the living room where she found her dad sitting on the couch.
"hi dad"
"hi honey" he said not turning from the television, Callie walked over to the couch without saying anything and sat down. "uh oh what's wrong" he said turning off the tv knowing his daughter needed his full attention.
"I don't want to bother you while you're watching a game"
"Calliope, honey, it's ok, tell me what's bothering you?"
"well, Arizona and I were wondering if you'd have dinner with us and her family tonight"
"oh" Carlos said he'd only met Barbara and Daniel once before, it was at a party they had for Arizona after she had gotten the record deal.
"if it'd be too uncomfortable for you, you don't have to, we just"
"we have some news we'd like to share with everyone at once" Arizona said cutting Callie off knowing she was having trouble with her emotions. "my parents are making the arrangements"
Carlos looked at his daughter then at the keeper of his daughter's heart with a smile "I'd love too, what time?"
"seven sound good?"
"sounds great" he smiled
"thanks daddy" Callie said giving him a hug.
"I love you Calliope" he said kissing the top of her head.
"love you too daddy"

"if you don't mind I have a limo coming for us" Arizona said walking into the living room where she found Carlos standing next to the fireplace staring at the same family picture Arizona had looked at the first time she was there.
"I don't mind at all" he said turning around sighing heavily "Arizona can I have a few words with you?"
"sure" Arizona said nervously, she knew this would be coming
"I, eh, I just want to say thank you"
"for?"
"for bringing hope back into this house" he said turning around "after Lucia died, I lost it, I threw myself in my work, working as much as I could, staying away. Which I know hurt Calliope, when she told me she met you. All those years ago, I was shocked, she hadn't ever mentioned a girl to me before. When I met you, the way you took care of her, how quickly the two of you became close, when she told me you told her you loved her, it took everything I had to not start to cry. When you left" he paused, trying to get his emotions in check "Calliope's wasn't the only heart you broke. When she had told, me she was going to see you that night. To be honest I was a little skeptical at first, not knowing what was going to happen, but at the same time I too wanted some answers, you didn't just leave her you left me too" he paused looking up at Arizona with a smile "but when she didn't come home that night, I knew you two had gotten back together, when she brought you home, I saw how much you two love each other and just how much you two belong together. Love like the two of yours, it only comes along once in a lifetime, take it by the reins and never let go. That's what Lucia and I had" he paused a smile spread across his face. Arizona could only guess he was thinking about his wife "Arizona, you are an amazing person and I'd be honored to call you my daughter"
"you know what we are wanting to tell everyone don't you?"
"I figured it was coming, and now with the news of me moving and you going out on tour again"
"yeah" Arizona said looking down feeling guilty for leaving again especially after what he had just confessed.
Closing the gap between them Carlos reached out and wrapped Arizona in his arms "I've always considered you my daughter, you have my blessing"
"thank you" Arizona said into his chest as she felt tears sting her eyes
