Chapter 6
Arizona jolted awake, looking around the room, her breathing heavy, she realized she was at home, being held captive by the love of her life, who had her head on Arizona's chest and an arm across her midsection. Taking a deep breath, she realized it was a dream that had woken her. Laying her head back on the pillow she stared up at the ceiling. Knowing it was early, the sun had just began showing itself in the sky. Looking over at the sleeping form half on top of her she felt the tears sting her eyes. She would be leaving for her tour the next day. Spending 2 and a half months away from Callie, made her sad, they hadn't spent a day apart since they had gotten back together, and Arizona knew it was going to tare Callie apart when she leaves. Looking down at Callie's hand the light caught the ring, bringing a smile to Arizona's face. She had nothing but love for the sleeping form curled around her. She felt Callie move and mumble something incoherent, she held her breath not to wake her, as she traced her finger over the ring. She looked up and was met with a pair of foggy chocolate brown eyes. "good morning" Arizona whispered leaning in for a kiss.
"morning beautiful" Callie replied mirroring the smile Arizona had on her face. Which quickly faded seeing the unshed tears in Arizona's eyes "baby what's wrong?"
"nothing" Arizona said almost in a whisper sighing
"Arizona" Callie said in her concerned voice "I think I know when something is bothering you" Arizona closed her eyes not wanting to answer the question, Callie moved into a position where she was leaning over Arizona and said again "Arizona"
Sighing and looking at the ceiling "I'm leaving tomorrow"
"this I know" Callie took Arizona's hand "you're the one who keeps telling me that it's going to be ok, what's with the change of heart?"
"I just" Arizona said turning to look at her wife "I'm going to miss you, we haven't spent more than a few hours apart since we" Arizona was cut off by Callie's finger on her lips "shh, don't say it. I'm going to miss you too" Callie didn't want the memories she was trying to put to the back of her mind to come to the front again. "I love you" Arizona rolled over on top of Callie
"I love you, too" Callie reached up pulling Arizona down to kiss her, the kiss quickly became heated as their tongues began fighting for control "I've had enough talking for right now"

"make it stop" Arizona said waking up a few hours later to her phone going off
"I would but it's yours" Callie said into Arizona's chest
"guh" Arizona reached over to the stand next to the bed grabbing her phone, which took a few tries in her not so awake state of mind. "really"
"what?"
"it's Teddy" Arizona said rolling her eyes as they heard Callie's phone go off and Arizona felt the cool air hit her naked chest which Callie was keeping warm
"that's funny"
"what is?"
"mines from April"
"what's she want?" Arizona asked confused, still not used to the fact that April and Callie had become close after their trip to Vegas
"us to get out of bed and meet them for lunch"
"that's what Teddy said too" Arizona said setting her phone back on the table, not replying to her sister and reaching for Callie to join her back in their little bubble of love.
"I am hungry" Callie said looking in Arizona's blue eyes
"you want to go meet them?"
"as much as I would love to spend all day in bed with you. I know there is stuff you need to do today, which involves putting clothes on"
"all I need to do today is spend it with you" Arizona leaned in for a kiss
"so let's get up and have lunch with them" Callie said as they heard Arizona's phone go off again.
Stop ignoring me for sex ~T
"you sure you want to meet her?" Arizona giggled
"why, what'd she say now" Callie said reaching for the phone and giggling "yeah let's go"
I'll call you after we shower ~A
Don't take too long. I need to see my sissy before she leaves for 3 months ~T
Arizona smiled shaking her head, then grabbed Callie's hand to help her out of bed.

"so where we going?" Arizona asked into the phone
"I don't know where are you taking us?" Teddy asked, as always she was always trying to get Arizona to pay for everything.
"really?" Arizona shook her head
"yeah really, you're the big rock star in the group"
"guh" Arizona rolled her eyes, moving the phone away from her mouth "where would you like to go?"
"how about that new Italian place downtown" Callie said as she pulled on her shirt
"did you hear that?" Arizona asked into the phone
"yup, we'll see you there in a half hour"
"ok bye" Arizona said pushing the end button, pushing her phone into her pocket her eyes caught Callie, she just stopped and stared
"what? Do I have deodorant on my shirt again?"
"no" Arizona shook her head smiling, taking a step closer
"toothpaste on my mouth?" she reached up wiping around her mouth
"nope" Arizona smiled
"then why are you looking at me like that?" Callie asked beginning to blush
"you are" Arizona wrapped her arms around Callie "you're just so damn beautiful, you take my breath away" Callie couldn't say anything she just looked up into Arizona's blue eyes that shined with all the love she had, Arizona leaned in for a kiss.

"you should talk to Brad about changing your name" April said, they had finished eating and were just sitting around talking, enjoying the company they had to offer
"why would I want to do that?" Arizona asked confused
"you're married now, and your name has changed"
"the reason we hyphenated it instead of changing it was, so she didn't have to change her name" Callie smiled
"oh, well I didn't know that" April said looking at Teddy who shrugged her shoulders as if to say she didn't know that either
"now you do" Arizona stuck her tongue out like she was a child. "anyway, did you bring the paperwork we need to go over for the tour"
"I did, however I left it in the car in my briefcase" April said looking at Teddy with a look of 'I told you I should have brought it in'
"well go get it, might as well do it now" Arizona smiled
"then you can write this off as a business lunch" Teddy smiled
"you know that's not a bad idea" April said pushing her chair back "excuse me" she added standing up, leaning over to give Teddy a kiss as she made her way towards the door
"always looking for a free meal" Arizona giggled reaching over for Callie's hand, her eye catching the ring she looked up into Callie's eyes and whispered "I love you" as Callie smiled a knowing smile and mouth it back.
"enough of that lovey dovey bullshit"
"you're just jealous" Arizona said kissing Callie's cheek
"nah" Teddy turned around to see if April was coming "I have something I want to talk to you about" she said in a serious tone
"what's that?"
"I um, well" she paused a minute to find her words "you were right"
"right about what?" Arizona asked confused
"about April, she" Teddy cleared her throat "she's perfect for me and I think that" she stopped not really sure if she was ready to admit what was coming next.
"you love her, don't you?" Arizona smiled
"um" Teddy said turning red
"are you blushing sissy poo?"
"shut it" Teddy tossed her napkin at her sister
"have you told her" Callie asked
"no, I'm scared to, the last time I told someone I loved them"
"you don't have to say anymore" Callie said knowing the story. The last serious relationship Teddy was in, was when she was 18, and the woman was 30, and had been her 10th grade English teacher. Teddy had fallen hard for her, and when she had admitted her feelings, she got scared and ran. "I'm sure it'll be alright"
"yeah, I can tell she feels the same way. Teddy she's waited how many years to finally get you, and now that she has you" Arizona paused looking up at the door seeing April walking back through it. "tell her tonight, before we leave tomorrow" Arizona said winking as April walked setting her briefcase on the table and opening it.
"alright business lunch here we go" she said taking out a stack of papers "this might get boring for you two, but bear with us" Teddy and Callie just smiled at each other
"I have to use the bathroom, Teddy you care to join me?" Callie said pushing her chair back. Wanting to talk to Teddy some more privately.
"sure" Teddy smiled pushing her chair back and leaning over to kiss April "I'll be back" as Callie did the same.

"so, you think I should tell her?" Teddy asked
"I do" Callie smiled, hoping that the two of them could have what her and Arizona had. "I think it will ease your mind, and give April some peace of mind knowing that you're not going to wander off on her while she's gone"
"wander off huh?" Teddy giggled
"well, I couldn't think of any other way to phrase it" Callie said looking in the bathroom mirror smiling.
"some writer you are" Teddy smiled looking in the mirror, she saw Callie shrug her shoulders, and smile "so they are leaving tomorrow, do you want to have dinner Friday night with me?"
"um" Callie said mentally going through her work schedule in her head "I have to work until 5 but I'm free after that"
"sounds great, how about I come by the house after you get done with work and we'll figure something out"
"you don't want to be alone do you?"
"no" Teddy said rolling her eyes "mom and dad are going to New York for some conference thing"
"why don't you come stay with me, we can stay up late and watch chick flicks"
"sweet there's this new one that came out but I can't get April to watch it with me"
"she's not into chick flicks?"
"she is, but this one, I think she's afraid of"
"which one is it?"
"you'll see, I'll stop by the video store and meet you at your house at 6"
"and I'll pick up some pizzas on my way home"
"we should get back out there" Teddy nodded towards the door
"I really do have to pee" Callie smiled, heading into a stall

"so with that, I think we are done" April said putting the papers back into her briefcase "the bus will be in front of the studio at noon, be there by then"
"by noon?" Teddy asked walking up "you mean I have to get up early"
"you don't, we do" Arizona said rolling her eyes "well if we are done here I'm going to take my wife home and spend the rest of the day with just her"
"we're done here" April smiled "thanks for having lunch with us, I know you wanted to stay in bed all day" she added winking
"exactly my plan when we get home" Arizona grabbed Callie's hand "do you have this" she added nodding to the bill
"yup, we did business so therefore the business will take care of it"
"awesome, see you tomorrow"
"bye sissy, love you" Teddy said walking up behind April and placing a kiss on her cheek "I say we take their lead and stay in bed the rest of the day"
"mm, sounds like a plan to me" April said kissing Teddy as Arizona shook her head and walked away.

"it's going to be a long 3 months" Callie said as they pulled up outside the record studio
"we'll be in Chicago in 3 weeks, I'll see you then" Arizona said looking at her wife
"that's 3 weeks longer than I want to be away from you" Callie was making that sad puppy dog face that she knew Arizona could never deny
"come here" Arizona placed a soft kiss on Callie's lips, "I love you" she said letting the kiss deepen, knowing that's what Callie needed right now as Callie's hands started to wander Arizona pulled back "baby, we don't have time for this, look April's already looking for me"
"guh" Callie said undoing her seat belt and taking the keys out of the ignition "at least I'll have Teddy to keep me company"
"yeah there you go" Arizona smiled as they linked hands and headed towards the gathering of people outside the bus.
"She's going to come stay with me" Callie said nonchalantly as they walked
"now that's an amazing idea I don't know why I didn't think of that"
"yeah" Callie said to herself as the band members came and circled around them congratulating them on their wedding. Most of them hadn't seen Arizona since that last concert.
"Callie, my love, it's so good to see you, thank you so much for making my lovely Arizona smile again" Bruce, the drummer had her in a bear hug. He was what people call 'flaming gay' "I wish I could have been there"
"we are having a reception for everyone to come to once we get back from the tour" Arizona said coming to Callie's rescue, pulling her out of Bruce's grip. "now if you don't mind, I'd like to spend some time with my wife before I leave her for 3 months" Arizona smiled.
"I was just telling her how good it was to see her" he said letting go with a smile.
"that's great" Arizona said pulling Callie away "Teddy's over here, she looks like she's about to burst into tears any moment"
"poor girl" Callie said tightening her grip on Arizona's hand "do you think she told her?"
"I hope she did, if not I think it's going to be a long tour for all of us" Arizona giggled Callie smiled in agreement. As they got closer they seen Teddy wrap April in her arms.

"I'm going to miss you so much" April said
"I know me too" Teddy said kissing her
"thank you for last night, it was" April stopped mid-sentence to look in Teddy's eyes "completely amazing" she smiled and leaned in for a kiss
"anything for you" Teddy said in just above a whisper "I love you"
"what?" April said pulling back
"you heard me" Teddy said turning away she could feel her face turn as red as the sign on the bus which had Arizona's name on it.
"really? You love me?" April exclaimed
"so much for a private conversation" Arizona said walking up "I'm glad you told her, but I thought you'd do it in private not standing in front of my tour bus, with a ton of people around"
"yeah you know me, always gotta be the center of attention" Teddy smiled
"yeah" Arizona shook her head "well are you going to say it back or are we just going to go the next 3 months with you saying, 'I should have said it back'" Arizona giggled
April turned Teddy's head, so they were facing each other "I love you, too" she said looking directly into Teddy's blue eyes then placed a soft kiss on her lips.
"now that that is settled" Arizona giggled looking at Callie with a smile. Hoping that her sister and friend had found what she found all those years ago
"it's time to go" April said looking up and seeing the bus driver step onto the bus. Teddy grabbed April for one more goodbye kiss. As Callie, holding back the tears, caressed Arizona's face with her thumb and whispered "I love you"
"I love you too" Arizona pulled back to look in Callie's eyes "you'll be in good hands with Teddy", she said kissing her one more time "I love you"
"I love you too, Zo" Callie said as the tears broke the flood gate. Arizona stepped away, as Callie made her way to Teddy, and they watched as April and Arizona boarded the tour bus to send them to the other side of the country, away from their little world. The two girls stood there and watched as the bus pulled away headed towards the interstate. Teddy wrapped her arm around Callie hoping that would ease the emptiness they were both feeling. "come, let's go get some lunch" Teddy said pulling Callie towards the parking lot.
