Chapter 14
"wow" Teddy whispered as they walked into the building, Arizona shook her head
"ok stay here, I'll be right back" Arizona said as she walked away adjusting her bag on her shoulder.
"Arizona" Blake smiled as she walked into the dressing room.
"glad you're feeling better" Arizona said setting her bag down on her chair
"thanks" he smiled
"hey you're here, did you bring them?" Miley asked coming into the room.
"yeah, I made them wait by the door though" Arizona chuckled
"bring who?" Blake asked
"hey Arizona, I think I found something that belongs to you" Adam said as he made his way into the dressing room with Callie, Teddy and April in tow "why'd you leave them by the door?"
"I told them to wait there while I came in" Adam cut her off "well I felt sorry for them, so I brought them back"
"well with that thought, you guys already know my sister Teddy, this is her wife, and my manager April, and this beauty" Arizona paused walking next to Callie and putting her arm around her "is my wife Callie"
"Callie" Adam smiled as he walked up to her, pulling her into a hug "it's nice to finally meet you"
"y, you too" Callie stammered out as she let Adam hug her she was taken aback by him
"I'm Adam, obviously" he smiled
"I'm Blake" Blake said standing up holding out his hand to shake theirs "April you look familiar have we met before?"
"possibly, I've met a lot of singers over the years, I can't recall them all" April smiled
"what's your last name?" Blake asked still trying to figure out if he knew her or not
"Robbins" she smiled as the rest giggled
"your maiden last name" Blake rolled his eyes
"oh" April laughed "Kepner"
"April Kepner?" he said rolling the name around in his head "your dad wouldn't happen to be Frank Kepner, would it?"
"sure is" April smiled
"small world" Blake said
"go figure he knows someone from the south" Adam commented
"hey, he was in my band when I first started out" Blake said
"I remember that" April said, "he wasn't in it very long, as my mother got pregnant with my younger sister, she made him get a real job"
"a band is a real job" Adam said
"I know this, but my mother didn't think so" April smiled
"funny" Arizona said
"well let's get you guys some passes so they don't kick you out" Miley said as she nodded for the group to follow her.

Finally, in their chairs, with their backs turned towards the stage, Arizona was face to face with Callie. She couldn't help but smile, seeing her beautiful face. Taking a deep breath as the music started, a voice sounded through the speakers, watching Callie's reaction she smiled as Callie nodded, Arizona smiled, hitting her button, as her chair turned around, quickly followed by Miley, and Adam. Smiling Arizona looked over at her two co judges, as she moved her head to the beat. Once the song was done and Blake turned around "what's your name sweetheart"
"Addison Montgomery" the girl said
"where you from?" he asked
"Minneapolis, Minnesota" she said
"well, I personally think you were great" Miley spoke up
"good luck with this" Blake smiled, as Adam and Miley gave their input and reasons why she should pick their team. When it got to Arizona she smiled "Minneapolis huh?"
"mmhmm" Addison smiled
"I'm from Madison, Wisconsin" Arizona smiled
"this I know"
"so reason number 1 why you should pick me, we're from the same area" Arizona smiled "reason number 2 would be I was the first to turn around, number three would be my wife is sitting behind me, and well it'd be rather embarrassing if you were to go with someone else" Arizona laughed as Adam and Miley started in arguing Arizona's point.
"alright who do you pick" Blake asked as he sat back in his chair
"Um, Adam, I love you, and Miley I've followed you since your days on Hannah Montana"
"oh god" Miley laughed slapping her head
"but I'm gonna have to go with Arizona, because she's been in my shoes" Addison smiled
"yes, yes, yes" Arizona exclaimed "and with that my team is full" she said hitting her button. Jumping up and running up to Addison embracing her in a hug "you won't regret this" she said as she walked her off the stage. "ha-ha, my team is full first" Arizona said sticking her tongue out antagonizing the rest.
"I can't believe the newbie filled her team before anyone else" Blake mumbled as their chairs spun back around
"might have helped if you turned around idiot" Adam said
"might have helped if you turned around" Blake said mocking Adam
"shut up" Adam said tossing a book at Blake almost hitting Arizona in the face
"wow" she said looking at Miley
"yeah one-time Blake tossed something at Adam and it totally missed and hit me" Miley laughed. Arizona shook her head looking over at Callie. Who looked like she was having the time of her life.
With Arizona's team full, all she had to do was give her opinion on the rest of the singers for the day. She chimed in a few times when no one turned, just like she did with the first girl. Each time the chairs spun back around she had all she could do to not stare at Callie. With all the teams full at the end, the foursome left the stage and headed to the dressing room. Chatting about how they thought it went, there was a knock at the door. Arizona looked up, and smiled. "hi"
"hi" Callie said shyly as Teddy pushed her through the door. Arizona couldn't help but laugh, it reminded her of when she showed up at her show in Minneapolis.
"that was amazing thank you for letting us stay for it" Teddy said "and to witness that last of the blind auditions was" Teddy stopped "I can't even think of the right word" she laughed
"you're hopeless" Arizona smiled
"now comes the fun part" Miley said "she's going to be busy for a few weeks"
"right" Arizona said forgetting now she had to coach her team
"we'll meet with them on Monday, you better have your mentor here" Miley smiled, still wanting to know who Arizona picked. Arizona smiled looking at her wife, Callie was the only one who knew who it was, she knew if she told April or Teddy they'd blab.
"alright well" Arizona tossed a few things into her bag "we're out"
"wait" Miley said, "where you going?"
"um" Arizona said looking at her family "dinner then home to relax"
"well, would you mind if I join you?" Miley asked, "these guys are headed home for the weekend, and well, I"
"come on" April piped in nodding her head
"great" Miley smiled as she began putting her stuff in her bag
"we'll meet you outside, I'd like a smoke" Arizona smiled as she swung her bag over her shoulder and nodded for the group to follow her.
"I can't believe she wants to hang out with us" Teddy said as she reached in her pocket for the pack of cigarettes she had in there
"when did you start smoking?" Arizona asked confused, her sister always gave her shit for it, saying she was killing herself
"I don't know, I just did" Teddy said
"it won't last long" April said as she shook her head
"well give me one" Arizona reached over taking the pack out of Teddy's hand, offering it to Callie who nodded it away "I'll share yours" she smiled, Arizona nodded

"so now comes the hard part" Miley said as they were waiting for the waitress to bring their food
"yeah I'm not looking forward to it" Arizona looked at Callie "but the thought of helping someone make it big makes it worth it" she smiled
"that feeling is amazing" Miley said as she went into more detail on how the next round would go, and how exhausting everything will be once it gets moving. "what I love the most, is at the end, seeing the look on the winner's face" they all smiled as the waitress brought their food.

"so what are your plans for the weekend" Miley asked, she was enjoying hanging out with the foursome
"um" Arizona said looking at Teddy "I was thinking Disney Land" she smiled
"yes" Teddy did a little victory dance in her chair
"ok" Arizona laughed
"what I asked if we could go there the first time we came here" Teddy protested
"ok, we'll go tomorrow" Arizona said looking at Callie and April
"I've never been there" Callie admitted
"even better" Arizona reached for her hand under the table.
"you'll love it" Miley smiled "I myself have had enough Disney shit to last a lifetime" they all laughed.

"I'm so excited I've never been to Disney Land" April said as they walked through the parking garage "I've been to Disney world, but not here" she smiled looking around. Arizona couldn't help but shake her head at her. They saw a couple other lesbian couples up ahead holding hands, Arizona reached down for Callie's hand. They'd never been in public like this, she smiled as she saw the smile on Callie's face, looking at Teddy who at the same time happen to reach for April's hand, they caught each other's eyes and smiled. Arizona nodded as Teddy's smile got bigger.
"where should we go first?" Arizona asked once inside the gate.
"space mountain" Teddy smiled and started jumping up and down like a kid. Arizona couldn't help but laugh "ok"

"I'm so beat" Callie said falling onto the bed once they got home.
"me too" Arizona said falling next to her.
"I had fun though" Callie rolled over, so she could look at Arizona. Moving some hair out of Arizona's eyes she softly said, "I love you"
"I love you too" Arizona smiled, leaning in and kissing her. "tomorrow, it's just me and you, whatever you want to do" Arizona moved so Callie could lay her head on her chest.
"what if I want to stay in bed all day" Callie giggled knowing that wouldn't happen
"whatever you want to do baby" Arizona kissed the top of her head.
Callie moved so she was looking at Arizona "how much longer will you be out here?" she asked sadly
"a few more months" Arizona said, Callie laid her head back on her chest
"that's too damn long" Arizona just stroked Callie's head and held her close. Both not needing anything more than to just be held by each other. Before they knew it they were both asleep. Callie woke up, groggy, not really sure what had happened, the room was pitch black, only the glow of Arizona's blinking phone. Trying to move, but she couldn't, Arizona had her held down, she smiled, a sad smile, knowing she would be headed home soon without the love of her life. She leaned in kissing Arizona, hoping it would make her move, she was in desperate need of the bathroom. One kiss didn't do it, so she went in, running her tongue along Arizona's bottom lip 'this usually works' Callie smiled when she saw Arizona's blue eyes pop open. She pulled back "good, can you let me up, I need to use the bathroom"
"what time is it?" Arizona mumbled as she moved
"not sure, check your phone it's blinking" Callie said as she made her way out of the room. Coming back into the room, she saw Arizona's face through the glow of her phone. "so what time is it?"
"four" Arizona giggled
"damn" Callie said sitting on the bed "explains why I woke up"
"mmhmm" Arizona said laying back down. Callie made her way towards her, laying her head on her chest. "sorry I fell asleep"
"don't be sorry, we had a long, fun day" Callie smiled
"we did" Arizona kissed the top of her head, "and now it's 4 am and we're wide awake"
"well I wouldn't say wide awake" Callie leaned up placing her lips on Arizona's "I know a way that will make us both fall fast to sleep" she whispered
"sounds promising" Arizona said moving so Callie was laying on the bed and she was hovering over her. Callie reached up brushing some hair out of Arizona's face, since it was dark, all she could make out was the outline, she wrapped her arms around her neck, pulling her down into a kiss.

"make it stop" Arizona moaned pulling the pillow over her face
Laughing Callie rolled over "I would, but once again, it's yours"
"ugh" Arizona tossed the pillow and rolled over to look at her phone, then yelled "I hate you!" when they heard a laugh coming from the other side of the door, they couldn't help but laugh.
"we should get up" Callie said tossing the blankets back and rolling out of bed
"what happened to staying in bed all day"
"we can come back, if that's what you want to do, but I'm hungry, someone wore me out" Callie said reaching for her shorts and a t-shirt. As she slipped them on Arizona watched, and couldn't help but smile "stop looking at me"
"no"
"you make me feel self-conscience"
"no I don't" Arizona smiled
"yes, yes you do"
"I think you like it, but you're afraid to admit it"
"think what you want" Callie said "I'm going out there" she opened the door and the smell of fresh coffee, and bacon floated its way into the room. Arizona felt her stomach growl, realizing she too was starving. She kicked the blankets off and climbed out of bed, looking for her shorts, she realized Callie had put them on, smiling she went to the drawer and grabbed another pair, sliding them on with her shirt.
"well, look who finally decided to grace us with her presence" April said from the table
"yeah, yeah" Arizona said as she reached for a cup and poured some coffee
"you look wonderful, my dear, what's that called" April smiled
"lack of sleep because my annoying sister had to wake me up" Arizona said
"I wouldn't say it's lack of sleep" Callie started to say but the look from Arizona made her stop.
"I'm going for a smoke" she said reaching for her pack and lighter, making her way to the deck.
"hey sissy" Teddy said coming out
"hi" Arizona mumbled
"I'm sorry I woke you up"
"no you're not" Arizona looked at her sister
"you're right, I'm not" Teddy smiled "um, I think I'm going to head home with them tomorrow"
Feeling a little disappointed Arizona forced a smile "ok"
"is that ok?" Teddy asked, "I know you don't" Arizona cut her off "no I don't want to be here alone, but this is my thing, I can't ask you to stay with me"
"are you coming home for the 4th?"
"I was thinking about seeing if mom and dad wanted to come out here, think about it we can rent a boat or something, watch the fireworks from the water?"
"hmm" Teddy said nodding "that sounds like an idea"
"I'll call and ask them next week" Arizona smiled "really Teddy it's ok, go home and be with your wife, and take care of mine for me"
"I will sissy" Teddy said touching Arizona's leg. They gave each other a sad smile. "so what's the plan for today" Teddy asked trying to change the mood
"whatever Callie wants to do" Arizona said looking in the house seeing Callie and April in conversation at the table.
"oh right I suppose you two want to be alone today" Teddy said seeing her wife and sister in law engaging in conversation
"honestly" Arizona said looking at her sister "it's up to Callie, I do know I'm still exhausted from yesterday, so I'd like to take it easy, but"
"I got it" Teddy smiled a knowing smile, Arizona was all about making Callie happy.
"I'm going to go jump in the shower" Arizona said putting out her smoke and heading into the house. Callie looked up hearing Arizona walk in, as she stood and followed Arizona to the bathroom, not making any noise, scaring Arizona when she pushed her into the bathroom. "whoa" Arizona laughed
"sorry, I just figured this is what you were doing so I thought I'd join" Callie smiled pushing her up against the door, going in for her neck, she felt Arizona moan as she sucked on her pulse point.
"although I love this, I came in here to get cleaned up" Arizona smiled
"me too, but you told me, that we could do whatever I want to do today, and I want to start by fucking my wife in the shower" Callie whispered, the look on Arizona's face was priceless, it wasn't very often Callie was the assertive one, but Arizona loved it when she was.
"well, by all means, fuck me then" Arizona smiled as Callie reached down and tore off her shirt, tossing it on the floor. "but shouldn't we at least start the water?"
"mm" Callie said pulling back and turning to the tub starting the water. As Arizona finished undressing.

"did you have a good shower?" Teddy smirked, she could see Arizona's face turn red. "wow"
"what?" Arizona asked annoyed
"I don't think I've ever seen you turn red before" Teddy joked "or it's been awhile"
"yeah" Arizona said walking passed her to the kitchen.
"has Callie decided what you're doing today?" Teddy asked following Arizona into the kitchen.
"no" Arizona said reaching for her cup to fill it with coffee
"ok" Teddy said knowing with the fact that Arizona was giving her one-word answers meant she was annoyed with her, sighing she left the room.
"what's up?" Callie asked
"oh, like typical Teddy fashion I annoyed Arizona" Teddy sighed "sometimes I feel like I can't do anything right"
"oh I'm sure she's fine, just give her a few minutes" Callie smiled "she's probably just upset because we are all leaving tomorrow"
"yeah" Teddy said feeling a little guilty leaving Arizona, but she was getting a little home sick, having April here made it better but she was ready to go home.
"alright so what's the plan?" Arizona asked walking into the living room where she found everyone sitting around watching a movie.
"well" Callie said looking at the other two "would you guys mind if Arizona and I spent the day alone?"
"nope, not at all" April smiled "I've been dying to take another walk on the beach"
"ok" Callie smiled standing up reaching for Arizona's hand, pulling her out on the deck.
"what do you want to do?" Arizona asked as Callie pulled her in, kissing her.
"I'm not entirely sure" she smiled, she didn't have anything in mind she just knew she wanted to spend the day alone with her wife. Pulling back, she took a look at the beach "how about we start with a walk on the beach"
"sounds good" Arizona smiled, the way the sun reflected in Callie's eyes, there was no way she was saying no to anything Callie had to offer. She linked hands with Callie and led her down the stairs to the beach. Walking a good ways from the house they stopped. Arizona wrapped her arms around Callie's back, they were lost in the moment looking out over the water. Arizona felt Callie sigh "what's wrong"
"nothing just that I'm going to miss you" Callie turned her head to look at her.
"me too" Arizona said looking into her eyes, which held a hint of sadness. Arizona squeezed Callie tighter, kissing her cheek. They stood there both silent, enjoying being in each other's arms. Until Arizona felt Callie's stomach growl "hungry?" she laughed
"I guess I am"
"alright let's go back to the house" Arizona released her, as she grabbed her hand
"maybe they want to have dinner with us" Callie smiled
"I knew we'd end up with them" Arizona chuckled
"they are family"
"that they are" Arizona smiled "and I love my sister"
"I love her too" Callie smiled, thinking about how dull the last month was without Teddy.

"back so soon?" April asked putting the book down she was reading
"who reads those anymore?" Arizona asked
"I do" April smiled "guess I'm old school"
"got the old part right" Arizona laughed.
"thanks I'll remember that" April winked "so why you back?"
"Callie's hungry" Arizona said sitting down on the chair
"and I had to pee" Callie said sitting down on Arizona's lap "do you guys want to have dinner?"
"um" April said looking around for Teddy "I'm not sure what she's doing, or what she has planned"
"where is she?" Arizona asked, confused as to why her sister had disappeared
"I have no idea" April smiled
"hmm" Arizona said motioning for Callie to get off her, so she could find Teddy.

Arizona found Teddy sitting in her room with her headphones on, standing in the doorway, she just watched her sister. Feeling guilty for the way she acted earlier, sometimes Teddy didn't know when to quit, a trait she no doubt got from their father. Sighing, she knocked on the door, as Teddy looked up taking off her headphones. "hi" Arizona whispered, Teddy just gave her a sad smile. "I'm sorry" she said in the same quiet tone as she made her way into the room. Teddy just looked down at whatever it was she was reading. "Teddy"
"what" she finally said
"I said I was sorry" Arizona said softly
"you're always sorry" Teddy said looking up into her eyes "I know that I" Arizona cut her off "no you're not, I have loved the last month having you here with me" Teddy just stared at her "my problem is, you guys are all going home tomorrow, leaving me here, alone"
"oh poor you, you get to be on tv and live on the beach" Teddy said not caring that she knew she was hurting Arizona's feelings. "it's always been about you; mom and dad always chose whatever you had going on over whatever I had going on"
"that's not true" Arizona said trying and failing at remembering a time when it was about Teddy.
"oh yeah? Name one time, when it was about me?" Teddy said closing her laptop forcefully, tossing it to the side, along with her headphones.
"I don't want to fight" Arizona said shutting the door, knowing it was going to come to that and the others didn't need to hear.
"even when I got married, I, we didn't want to tell anyone because we didn't want to take away from what you and Callie had going on" Teddy stopped feeling the tears sting her eyes "Arizona I love you, you're my sister, but sometimes" she turned her head, so Arizona wouldn't see the tears that started to break through the flood gates.
"I'm sorry you feel that way" was all Arizona could say. Realizing everything Teddy was saying was true, since they were kids, she was on top of the world when Teddy, even being adopted, got whatever their parents had left. She turned to open the door and leave, as she was reaching for the doorknob she heard "it's not really about that, it's just" Teddy started to say but couldn't get any more out, as Arizona turned around looking at her sister, taking a deep breath Teddy went on "I'm just so damn proud of you, Arizona, you have no idea. I know I can be a pain in the ass and get on your nerves, but isn't that what sisters are supposed to do"
"so you're in here all alone, because you're proud of me?" Arizona asked confused
"well" Teddy let out a laugh "yeah"
"come here" Arizona said opening her arms, as Teddy almost ran into them "you realize I have all of this because of you"
"how so?"
"remember when mom and dad wanted me to start taking those lessons?"
"yeah"
"I was so pissed at them, I didn't want to waste my time learning how to play the piano from some washed up old music teacher, but you talked me into it" Arizona paused "and then when I got the record deal, who was the one that told me I could do it?"
"Callie"
"yeah, but who's the one I listened too?"
"Callie again"
"no, it was you" Arizona said pulling back so she could look her in the eye "you're my big sissy, I've always looked to you for whatever advice I needed. Most importantly, who was the only one I would let into my head after Callie and I split up?" Arizona saw a smile start to form on Teddy's face. "exactly, now I'm sorry I was being a bitch to you earlier"
"I'm sorry too" Teddy said as they hugged
"now come on let's go have dinner" Arizona nodded towards the door
"I thought you wanted to be alone?"
"really you thought that would happen? I think Callie is more obsessed with you then she is with me" Arizona giggled
"I am pretty awesome" Teddy laughed
"yeah you are" Arizona said rolling her eyes and leaving the room

"did you find her?" April asked when she heard Arizona come back into the room
"I did" Arizona said looking at Callie
"everything alright?" Callie knew that look
"yup, everything is fine" Teddy said coming in behind Arizona "come on let's go I'm starving, oh by the way, sissy, you're paying"
"yup there's my sissy poo" Arizona smiled reaching her hand out to help Callie up.

"good morning" April sang as Arizona made her way into the kitchen
"hi" Arizona smiled a sad smile
"breakfast is almost ready" she smiled
"you didn't have to cook, you're leaving in a few hours" Arizona said taking a drink of her coffee
"I know, but I felt like you needed it" April smiled "so um" she cleared her throat "Teddy told me about what happened"
"yeah, I'm an ass" Arizona said setting her cup down on the table, to pull out the chair
"I wouldn't say you're an ass, Teddy can get quite" she stopped there, when Arizona gave her an understanding smile. "just remember she's your sister, you two are bound to get on each other's nerves" April smiled reaching down for Arizona's hand, giving it a light squeeze, then headed back towards the stove. Arizona sat there staring at her cup lost in her thoughts until April set down a plate in front of her. "here eat, who knows when you'll get your next home cooked meal"
"I cook" Arizona protested
"mac and cheese doesn't count" April smiled
Arizona looked up at her with a smile "thanks"
"anytime hun, now you sit and enjoy that" April said tapping on the plate as Callie stumbled her way into the room. Giving Arizona a kiss on the cheek and sat down in a chair.
"coffee?" April laughed
"you'd make a good mom" Callie said in a giggle
"she would" Arizona agreed digging into her food, both of them not seeing the smile on April's face as she turned around to get Callie her coffee.

"well I have to go" Arizona said noticing the car pulling up, as she pulled Callie in close "I love you" she kissed her
"I love you too" Callie whispered sadly
"let me know when you land, and I'll call you later" Arizona said stealing another kiss
"I will" Callie said forcing a smile, as she watched Arizona shut the door and head towards the car.
"you'll see her soon" April said walking up behind Callie
"not soon enough" Callie said turning to look at April unshed tears in her eyes "I can't stand being away from her, I know she's doing this for me but"
"I understand, come on" April put her arm around her ushering her into the kitchen.
