I'm just going to go ahead and post everything as I go through it. Which will mean there will be several chapters posted in a row so hopefully you all are reading them in order. Thanks everyone for reading.

Chapter 16

"Arizona" Callie whispered into the phone, Arizona could hear the emotions in her voice "there's been an accident"

"oh my god, what happened" Arizona asked, looking up at Miley who had a concerned look on her face, then motioned she'd be right back. "Callie, what's going on?" she asked she could hear Callie start to sob as Teddy's voice came over the line "Arizona, it's Carlos, he was on his way from the airport, and a drunk driver ran a red light" she stopped there

"say no more, I'm on my way"

"Arizona" Teddy called into the phone, trying to get her attention before she hung up

"yeah"

"they're taking him to Rochester" Teddy said

"Rochester Minnesota?" Arizona asked hoping it wasn't Rochester, New York, she didn't want to have to travel all the way across the country, she needed to be with her wife.

"yes" Teddy said

"ok, I'll fly into there, I'll call you when I know my flight plan"

"ok" Teddy sighed "I'm driving with her now, we'll see you soon"

"Teddy" Arizona said

"yeah"

"hug her for me, and don't let go"

"I'll take good care of her sissy, just hurry and get here" Teddy said

"can you put her back on quick?" Arizona heard the sobs on the other end "baby, I'm on my way, I love you"

"ok" was all Callie could get out, she was too much of a wreck to say anymore, but knowing Arizona was on her way made her feel a little better, she hung up the phone and tossed it in her lap.

"what's going on" Miley asked she had followed Arizona into the dressing room not trying to be nosey, but she felt as if she were a part of their family, or something having spent so much time with them

"um" Arizona said meeting her eyes "can you find Lexie?"

"yes" she said turning on her heals and disappearing, coming back a moment later with Lexie, and the producer

"Arizona, what's going on" she could see the distress look on her face

"my" Arizona paused to take a breath, she was having trouble keeping her emotions in check "my father in law was in a car accident, and I have to go home" she was starting to shake

"no way" Miley said walking up and putting her arm around Arizona

"Go" Lexie said "let us know how he's doing"

"thanks" Arizona said as she slid herself out of Miley's arms and started packing her bag

"Arizona, just leave it, it's not going anywhere" Miley said pulling the items out of Arizona's hands "just go, I'll pack it up and make sure it gets to your house"

"thank you" Arizona sighed "I just"

"I understand, go" Miley said pointing to the door. Arizona grabbed her jacket and left, in the car, Arizona was trying to find the number for the airline, when she got a call from Blake.

"Arizona, I heard what happened, and I'm sorry" he said

"thanks"

"here's what you're going to do" he paused making sure he had her attention "have your driver take you onto the tarmac, give them your name, and that I sent you"

"Blake, you don't have to" he cut her off "I know I don't but I'm doing it" he said hanging up on her. Arizona sat there staring at the phone as she explained to the driver what Blake just said. She didn't bother going home, she didn't have time to go across town just to get clothes. Looking at her phone again, she called Callie, but it went straight to voicemail. Hanging up she tried Teddy, sighing when Teddy's phone did the same. As panic started to set in, she scrolled through her phone finding April's number, and hit talk. "Arizona" April said

"I tried calling Callie, and Teddy, neither of them answered" Arizona said in a panic

"yeah they're on their way to Rochester"

"I know, but" Arizona said trying to keep her emotions in check "have you heard anything?"

"just that he's unconscious" April said sadly

Arizona was quiet for a moment "I'm on my way, pulling up to the airport now"

"good she needs you"

"I know" Arizona sighed "I didn't have time to run home, so I don't have anything"

"say no more, I'll go grab you both some clothes, I'll see you in a few hours" April said

"ok thanks" Arizona said "we're pulling up to the plane now, I'll see you in a few hours"

"plane what?" she asked confused

"I'll explain later"

"ok" April said as they hung up. Arizona hung up the phone as the driver pulled up next to the plane, Arizona saw the pilot standing outside the car as she climbed out.

"Arizona Robbins?" he asked

"yes" she nodded

"hop on in, we'll have you in Rochester in a few hours" he smiled as he nodded to the plane

"thank you" she gave him a half smile, it was all she could muster, as she climbed the stairs. She took her seat and sent Callie a text

On my way, I'll see you soon, I love you ~A she turned off her phone and clicked her seat belt as the plane taxied towards the run way.

Callie and Teddy pulled to a stop in the hospital parking garage. Taking a deep breath, Teddy looked at her sister in law, not really knowing what to do, but she knew since Arizona wasn't there she was the next best thing. "he's going to be ok" she said softly reaching over and touching Callie's knee

"thanks for coming" Callie said meeting her eyes,

Teddy gave her a weak smile, "no problem, you're family, and family sticks together" she said, as Callie's phone went off with Arizona's ringtone.

"Arizona's on her way" she said sadly, Teddy squeezed her leg

"come on let's go find him" she took the key out of the ignition and opened the door. Teddy met Callie at the back of the car, as she put her arm around her. "its alright to cry you know"

"I know, I just can't" Callie sighed "I can't believe this is happening again"

"again?" Teddy asked confused, as she hit the button on the elevator

"yeah, my mom" Callie said looking at the floor

"your mom died in a car accident" Teddy asked she knew her mom was gone, but she didn't know how, and that was something she never asked. She always thought if Callie wanted to talk about it she would. Callie just nodded, as the elevator door opened, and they stepped in.

Arizona woke up breathing heavy, and soaked in sweat, feeling Callie move next to her. "Arizona, what's wrong?" she asked concerned

"nothing" Arizona breathed out, looking at her surroundings, seeing they were at her rented house in LA "just had a bad dream" 'I hope it was a dream'

"oh" Callie said moving so she could lay her head on Arizona's chest. "damn, are you sure you're ok?" she could feel Arizona's heart beating rapidly.

"yeah, it was just a dream" Arizona said still trying to get her breathing under control. "but if you don't mind I think I'm going to get up"

"ok" Callie said softly as she moved, watching Arizona climb out of bed. It was still dark, the sun barely making its presence known. Callie laid back on her pillow, sighing. She never knew what to do when Arizona was upset. She lay there for a few more minutes, then got up in search of Arizona. She found her sitting on the deck, looking out over the water. "hey" she said softly.

Arizona turned at the sound of her voice "what are you doing up?" she asked softly

"you need me" Callie said as she made her way over to her wife. Arizona moved so Callie could sit on her lap. Sighing deeply, Arizona placed a kiss on Callie's cheek. "what was the dream about?" she asked. Arizona sighed again and looked out over the water, she wasn't sure if she should tell Callie, but she knew if she didn't get it out, it would be stuck in her head all day. She sighed deeply, "your dad was in a car accident" she whispered, Callie looked at her, wide eyed "I'm sorry I didn't want to"

"no, don't be, I ah" Callie said as she climbed off Arizona's lap and sat next to her. "I, um, I never told you how my mom died" she looked at her

"no, that's something you or your dad have never told me, and I didn't feel it was my place to ask" Arizona said seeing the look on Callie's face, she reached for her hand

"it was a car accident; a drunk driver ran a red light. They rushed her to Rochester, but by the time they got there she was already comatose" Callie said sadly

"I'm sorry" Arizona said as she looked away from Callie and out over the water. Trying to let the dream go, but with what Callie had just revealed to her she knew she wouldn't be able to.

Seeing the look on Arizona's face, Callie knew the dream was going to bother her, she leaned over placed a kiss on Arizona's cheek "I'll get the coffee started before everyone else wakes up"

"ok" Arizona said forcing a smile, watching Callie disappear into the house. She sighed and looked out over the water.

Callie stopped in the doorway and looked back, "hey, what's going on" she heard Teddy whisper.

"nothing, go back to sleep" she said as she walked through the living room where Teddy and April were asleep on the pull-out couch.

"I'm awake now, what's going on" Teddy said following her into the kitchen

Callie sighed "nothing" as she busied herself filling the coffee pot, which would hopefully bring some life to the house. With Arizona upset, and Teddy and April still fighting, she didn't know what to do.

"if it's nothing then why is my sister sitting out on the deck staring off into space" Teddy asked reaching for a cup.

Callie looked up at her sister-in-law "you want to know, go ask, and take her this" she handed her a cup of coffee, nodding towards the door. Teddy looked at her, and nodded, taking the cup from Callie.

"oh, good there's coffee" Barbara said, making her way into the kitchen

"of course, there's coffee" Callie laughed, 'we are buying a coffee shop' she shook her head

"why is Arizona outside?"

"um" Callie said, this family was going to drive her insane, but she loved it. "she, um" luckily Callie was cut off by Daniel coming in, soon followed by April.

"morning everyone" April said reaching for a cup and sitting at the table

"morning" Callie replied looking down at her cup.

"I love this house" Barbara said as she looked around

"I do too" Callie said "I'm thinking about having Arizona buy it, if not this one, maybe one similar to it, then we can have a place to go for vacations"

"not like we'll have time for a vacation once we take over The Coffee House" Arizona said walking up behind Callie giving her a kiss on the cheek

"you ok?" Callie whispered

"I am, thank you" Arizona smiled

"well since everyone is up, I'll get a start on breakfast" April said standing up

"no dear, sit, I'll make breakfast" Barbara said pointing to the chair April had just stood up from.

"or we could get dressed and go out" Arizona smiled as she wrapped her arms around Callie.

"no, I'll cook we can go out for lunch" Barbara said

"don't forget we have to pick up my dad at 2" Callie whispered in Arizona's ear

"right, so how about we go out for dinner, Carlos will be here then, and we can plan the party" Arizona said

"you haven't planned it yet?" Teddy exclaimed

"ah no, sissy that's what you're for"

"Arizona honey, I was thinking while we are here why don't we celebrate your birthdays" Barbara said as she dug through the cupboards looking for pans.

"a birthday party?" Arizona asked making a face, not liking the idea

"yes" Barbara said as she busied herself making breakfast "we won't all be together for it"

"mom, I'll be" Arizona started to say but was cut off by Teddy "a birthday party sounds amazing, come on Arizona, we could go to Disney Land again"

"um" Arizona said looking at Callie

"besides it's killing 3 birds with one stone" Barbara said, Teddy's birthday was a week before Arizona's and Callie's was a few days after. Growing up Barbara always had their parties together like they were twins.

"I'm game" Callie smiled

"fine" Arizona said throwing her hands in the air, knowing whatever she had to say wouldn't matter if Callie was involved. "I'm going to shower" she added kissing Callie on the cheek. Callie, quickly turned on her heel and followed Arizona, quietly following her into the bathroom, and shutting the door. "what are you doing?" Arizona smiled

"getting cleaned up" Callie said bending down to turn on the water "wouldn't want to smell like sex all day" she smirked, Arizona didn't know what to say, she stepped closer to Callie taking her in her arms. "thank you" she whispered before kissing her

"for what?" Callie asked confused tilting her head

"being you, that dream totally fucked me up, you knew exactly what to do to snap me out of it"

"I didn't do anything"

"you did without knowing it" Arizona smiled placing her lips on Callie's. "and I love you for it"

"if you say so" Callie smiled "I love you too, now come on the water is getting cold" Arizona shook her head as she helped Callie undress.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"I love this house" Carlos said while Callie was giving him the tour.

"yeah so do I" Callie smiled "I love this view" she added as they were walking passed the patio door which led to the deck. "honey why is Arizona sitting out there looking lost?"

Callie's shoulders dropped "I'm not sure" she gave her dad a sad face and made her way out the door, Arizona was staring out over the water with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other. "hi" Callie whispered, sitting down in the chair next to Arizona.

"hi" Arizona gave her a sad smile

"my dad loves the house"

"yeah" Arizona said taking a drink

"the dream?" Callie asked already knowing the answer, Arizona nodded and sighed "it just seemed so real, and with having your dad here, it just" she stopped, setting her beer down on the table. Callie reached for her hand "I love you" Arizona finally looked into Callie's blue orbs, smiled "I love you too" leaning over, placing her lips on Callie's.

"sorry, I just" Teddy said taking a deep breath, and pointed towards the beach, as she quickly walked passed

"um" Arizona said pulling back "do you mind?" she nodded after Teddy

"no, go" Callie smiled sitting back in the chair "hopefully you can figure out what's going on with them"

"and fix it" Arizona said standing up, giving Callie a kiss and ran after her sister. When she caught up to her she just walked quietly next to her, until Teddy finally stopped, staring out over the water and sighed "Teddy, what's going on?"

Teddy turned and looked at her sister taking a deep breath "I'm not entirely sure" Arizona didn't know what to say so she stayed quiet hoping Teddy would add more "she's been acting like she's jealous lately"

"why?"

"I don't know, I haven't given her any reason to be jealous, you know I ran into Miranda Bailey the other day"

"oh?"

"yeah, the way April acted when I introduced them, I" Teddy stopped, she looked into Arizona's eyes "you know how I deal with jealousy"

"I know, but this is different" Arizona said "don't ruin this, over some petty arguments you've been having, you love her, and she loves you"

"then why is she acting like this" Teddy asked throwing her hands in the air

"I don't know, I haven't had much time to talk to her with being out here, but one thing I can tell you, is just remember she's older than us, you're going to have to show her in different ways she's the only one you want"

"didn't I prove that when I married her?"

"Teddy, its not that easy" Arizona chuckled "trust me"

"you and Callie are good"

"we are" Arizona smiled "can you blame her for being jealous of Miranda though, she's um" Arizona cleared her throat, Teddy giggled "no I can't"

"I can have a talk with her if you want"

"couldn't hurt" Teddy said shaking her head, as she started walking, Arizona not far behind "so are you going to tell me why you've been out of it all day?"

Arizona stopped, looked down at the sand then out over the water "I had a dream last night, one that Carlos was in a car accident"

"ok?" Teddy couldn't understand what the problem was, Arizona had fucked up dreams all the time "he almost died, it just felt so real" Teddy reached over grabbing Arizona's hand "and when I told Callie about it, she finally told me how her mom died"

"car accident" Teddy said in a whisper

"yeah, a drunk driver ran a red light and" Arizona stopped "that's what happened in my dream, it was"

"you don't have to say no more, but just remember it was a dream. Carlos is sitting back at the house, with our parents, who are probably driving him nuts"

"mom for sure" Arizona laughed

"I think she has a crush on him"

"yeah let's not go there" Arizona laughed

"I got you to laugh"

"that you did sissy" Arizona said as she turned to Teddy grabbing her and hugging her "thank you"

"thank you" Teddy said "I love you sissy"

"I love you too" Arizona smiled "come on, let's go back to the house" she kept her arm around her and they walked, both smiling, it had been awhile since they were able to both be there for each other, like they did on this day. Walking into the house Teddy went into the kitchen to find something to drink. Arizona saw April on the couch going through her emails. "hey"

"hey" April said looking up from her computer

"can I talk to you" Arizona asked

"sure" April smiled, as Arizona nodded towards the deck "oh right" she said closing her laptop, and standing up. "is this about the new song?"

"ah no"

"Brad emailed me about it, sounded pretty excited to get you back in and record"

"yeah, but can we not talk shop right now" Arizona asked sitting down, watching April sit across from her, as she sighed "you want to know what's going on don't you?"

"I do" Arizona nodded

"well" April took a deep breath "I just feel like Teddy doesn't want to be with me anymore"

"what the hell would make you think that?"

"I'm 10 years older than you guys Arizona, why would someone as attractive as her want to be with me?"

"April" Arizona said sitting forward reaching out for her hand "I'm going to say this once" she paused making sure she had her attention "my sister loves you, you are the only one she wants. I've never seen her this happy"

"she's happy?" April spat out "coulda fooled me"

"well not lately" Arizona sighed "she wouldn't have married you if she didn't love you, so whatever this thing is you got going on inside your head, turn it off, she's not going anywhere and doesn't want anyone else" April sat there quietly absorbing what Arizona was saying "unless you're the one" April cut her off "no, no, she's all I've ever wanted" she took a deep breath looking out over the water. "I'll talk to her"

"right now" Arizona said

"right now" April said standing up "thank you"

"you're welcome, now go make my sissy smile again" Arizona smiled as she sat back in the chair noticing her beer and cigarettes were still on the table, pushing the bottle aside she reached for her smokes

"hi" Arizona smiled hearing that sweet voice "hi beautiful"

"good, you're in a better mood"

"I am, who would have thought that a good talk with my sister would help"

"I wouldn't know" Callie shrugged

"well you can have a good talk with my sister if you want" Arizona laughed pulling Callie down on her lap.

"you know what I meant" Callie giggled

"I do" Arizona kissed the top of Callie's head. They heard the door open and saw Teddy and April head down to the beach

"are they going to be ok?" Callie asked somberly

"I sure hope so, they just need to talk" Arizona said

"I know they do" Callie turned to face Arizona "my god you're beautiful" she said leaning in kissing her.

"you're not so bad yourself" Arizona smiled, as Callie hit her.

"I'm glad you're back to yourself"

"hope it stays that way" Arizona said leaning into Callie.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"hey sissy" Teddy said walking up onto the deck

"yeah" Arizona said looking up

"can you call us a car" Teddy asked before Arizona could ask why, April chimed in "we want to go stay at a hotel for a couple nights"

Arizona smiled, pulling out her phone "of course" she sent a quick text "Randy will be here in a half hour"

"thanks sissy" Teddy smiled as she went to make sure their bag was packed

"honey, are you sure you don't want some dinner before you leave?"

"no mom"

"we'll get something on our own, thanks Barbara" April smiled at her mother in law

"cars here" Arizona called out from the front door

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Arizona walked into the bedroom to find Callie sitting on the bed reading a letter. "hey, what are you doing?"

"just um" Callie said nervously "here" she handed the letter to Arizona, who read it

"oh my god baby, why didn't you tell me" Arizona exclaimed pulling Callie up and embracing her in a hug

"with everything going on, I forgot about it"

"did you call him?"

"I did, I have an appointment with him on Monday" Callie smiled

"I'm so proud of you" Arizona said pulling back so she could look in Callie's eyes.

"thanks" Callie said shyly

"and they're going to be too" she said letting Callie go and heading to the door

"Arizona, no, wait" Callie pleaded but Arizona didn't hear she was already in the kitchen handing the letter to Carlos.

"Calliope" Carlos said looking up at his only daughter "is this?"

"yeah" Callie looked down at the floor

"I'm so proud of you" he said handing the letter to Barbara, who squealed with delight reading the letter, then handed it to Daniel.

"Callie, this is amazing news. I'm so proud of you, as I am with all my girls" Daniel said standing up walking around the table giving Callie a hug "all 4 of my girls" he smiled. Arizona couldn't help but smile at the fact that he considered Callie and April his girls also.

"well I think this calls for" Barbara said looking at Daniel, who nodded. Barbara disappeared from the kitchen coming back a few minutes later, handing Arizona an envelope.

"what is this" Arizona asked turning the item in her hands over, examining it.

"just open it" Barbara said rolling her eyes, Callie ripped it out of Arizona's hand and tore it open. "wow!"

"what is it?" Arizona asked looking over Callie's shoulder, as she skimmed the paper Callie was holding "mom" she looked up

"just accept it" Barbara smiled "we thought after being apart for 6 months you two needed some time together, and don't worry I've already talked to Richard, he was more than happy to let you take the time off" Callie looked up at Barbara, feeling the tears fill her eyes, she wrapped her in her arms and whispered "thank you"

"it's my pleasure dear"

"I have something too" Carlos said disappearing, coming back a moment later with an envelope. "here" he said handing it to Callie

"dad you didn't"

"just open it" he nodded to the envelope that she was holding. Callie sighed as she tore it open, reading the letter that was inside, as Arizona read it over her shoulder. "I thought it was about time I do this, now it's officially yours" Carlos smiled "I'll clear my stuff out and you can decorate it anyway you want"

"you don't have to do that" Arizona said as she wrapped her arms around Callie

"fine, at least let me clean out my room so you guys can have the master"

"fine" Callie sighed knowing saying anymore would result in them arguing and coming back to this anyway.

"alright enough of this, who's ready to eat?" Barbara said as she pulled the dish she'd been preparing out of the oven.

xxxxxxxxxx

"I can't believe he signed the house over to us" Callie said as they were getting ready for bed.

"I can, it's your dad" Arizona smiled

"yeah but" Callie said looking down at the two envelopes that were sitting on the dresser. Arizona walked up behind her, wrapping her arms around Callie's waist, Callie smiled, leaning back into her. "and your parents with the trip"

"yeah I had a feeling something was coming from them" Arizona smiled kissing Callie's neck in the right spot, Callie moved her head so Arizona had better access. Callie turned around in Arizona's arms, looking into her eyes, as blue met chocolate brown, they both felt the love that each held for the other. Callie reached up, caressing Arizona's cheek with her thumb, they both smiled until Arizona whispered "I love you Calliope Torres-Robbins"

Callie smiled "I love you Arizona Torres-Robbins" she sighed and leaned into Arizona's chest.

"come on, let's go to bed" Arizona said making her way to the bed, climbing in, Callie rested her head on Arizona's chest, listening to her heart beat, after a few moments Callie whispered "you awake?"

"yup" Arizona said kissing the top of Callie's head

"there's something I've been wanting to talk to you about" Callie said not sure how to bring up the topic

"what's that?"

"well, I was thinking that our last name is too long, I mean hyphenating it was a great idea, but come on, you don't even use my last name"

"you're right" Arizona chuckled "where are you going with this?"

"how about we drop the Torres" Callie blurted out

"so just be Robbins?"

"mmhmm" Callie said moving so she was hovering over Arizona

"what about your dad?"

"if I were straight and got married I would have changed my last name, not hyphenate it, so I'm sure he'll be cool with it"

"well" Arizona said reaching up moving a stray hair out of Callie's face "if that's what you want to do, we'll do it when I get home"

"you really are the greatest" Callie smiled leaning down, placing her lips on Arizona's "now let me show you" she pressed her body into Arizona's as the kiss deepened.

As I've said before in my original version I have Teddy and Arizona as twins, I can't remember if the topic of when their birthdays are has come up, but I chose to have them all be close together although Callie is a few years younger than both Arizona and Teddy. Hope that clears up any confusion about that. Thanks for reading.
