Chapter 19

Callie woke up with the sun, it was Saturday morning. She groaned, only falling asleep a few hours ago, she wasn't ready to be awake yet. Sighing, she rolled over, wrapping her arms around Arizona. She was going to miss her, but it wasn't much longer, and she'd be home. Callie let a smile creep across her face, as she kissed Arizona's cheek. "mm, why are you awake" Arizona moaned

"I don't know, I wish I wasn't" Callie sighed

"well go back to sleep" Arizona whispered pulling her close

"if it were only that easy" she sighed, feeling Arizona breathe beneath her. She started tracing the outline of Arizona's stomach "you're making it hard for me to go back to sleep" Arizona smiled, with her eyes closed

"how do you know that wasn't my evil plan? Maybe I set my internal clock to wake up at this ungodly hour, to torture you?"

"I'd hope you didn't" Arizona said finally opening her eyes

"I didn't" Callie giggled

"well then" Arizona said, flipping them over so she was hovering over Callie, she paused, staring in those chocolate orbs "you're so beautiful" Callie just smiled, reaching out and pulling Arizona down into a heated kiss.

xxxxxxxxxxxx

"well that's one way to make me go back to sleep" Callie said, falling back onto the bed

"good" Arizona said still breathing heavy, as she rolled over laying her head on Callie's chest. "I love you" she let out in a sleepy tone

"I love you, too" Callie breathed out kissing the top of Arizona's head. As they both fell asleep.

xxxxxxxxxxx

They were woken a few hours later to something hitting the bedroom door "what the hell was that" Arizona asked as she almost fell out of bed

"my guess would be your mom" Callie said with her eyes still closed

"what time is it?"

"I don't know, you're the one who's up" Callie rolled over away from Arizona, looking at the clock "it's 8:15" Arizona groaned "how long until she's gone?"

"a couple more days" Callie said sadly "but remember when she leaves" she pulled Arizona toward her "so do I"

"yeah don't remind me of that" Arizona rolled over looking her wife in the eye "thank you for this morning" she smiled

"no, thank you" Callie said moving some hair out of Arizona's eyes "god I'm going to miss you"

"don't" Arizona said closing her eyes "don't start this not now, we have a fun day planned, or at least my mom thinks we do"

"I know, but I just can't help it"

"it's not much longer and I'll be home"

"not soon enough" Callie whispered, Arizona leaned down for a kiss when they heard a knock at the door "what?" Arizona called out

"oh, good you're awake, breakfast is ready" Barbara called from the other side of the door

"we'll be right out Barbara" Callie said "come on, I'm hungry, I worked up quite an appetite earlier" Arizona shook her head and smiled, following Callie's lead and getting out of bed. Finding her shorts in the corner of the room, she laughed to herself at how they got there. Finding her shirt, she slipped them both on, as Callie emerged from the bathroom. Arizona had to stop in her tracks, Callie hadn't bothered to put anything on, in her haste to get to the bathroom. "what"

"ah, nothing" Arizona said shaking her head to try and regain herself as she disappeared into the bathroom.

xxxxxxxx

"how did you sleep?" Barbara asked once they were both seated at the table, coffee cups in hand

"would have been better if someone wasn't banging shit around so early in the morning" Arizona groaned

"yeah sorry about that" Barbara chuckled

"you're not sorry, you're never sorry" Arizona said trying not to laugh, she knew how her mother was, she'd always been that way.

"hey you're lucky, she woke us up at 5" April smiled, Arizona tossed her mother a look as if to say 'you better not be waking me up at 5 A.M.'

"didn't want anyone to sleep the day away, we have a big day planned, Arizona, honey when will your friends be here?"

"not until at least 2" Arizona said looking at the clock it was now 8:45, the coffee waking her up, she realized it wasn't all that early and let her cold demeanor melt. As her mother set a plate of food in front of her "thanks mom" she smiled

"anytime honey"

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"mother, why is my band setting up on the beach?" Arizona asked standing in front of the patio door that led to the deck

"oh dammit they weren't supposed to start doing that until later" Barbara said quietly looking at April

"um" April said getting up from her spot at the table "I called them, I thought maybe" she stopped seeing the look on Arizona's face, and the fact that she was taking a deep breath to calm herself "they haven't seen you since your last tour, or was it the wedding?" she couldn't remember "they missed you" Arizona closed her eyes and took a deep breath to steady herself forced a smile on her face "ok" opening the door she stepped out. This was all too much so early in the morning. She loved her mother dearly, nothing would change that. Standing at the top of the stairs watching her boys put together the equipment, she lit her cigarette and took a long slow drag of it. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you, she made me promise not too" Arizona heard the soft voice behind her. Turning to look at the carrier of her heart she couldn't help but smile, "it's ok" she took Callie's hand and took a seat, pulling Callie down on her lap.

"she just wants it to be perfect, and April was right, they haven't seen you in a while they missed you" Callie said,

"I've missed them too, I've just been so busy being out here that" she no more than said the words when Bruce, her drummer made his way up the stairs looking for April.

"Arizona" he let out in the gayest voice possible

"hi Bruce" she smiled, he normally would have embraced her in a hug that would literally squeeze the air out of Arizona's lungs, thankfully Callie was on her lap so that wouldn't happen

"and the lovely Callie" he smiled "how I've missed you two"

"hi Bruce" Callie smiled shyly

"I'm looking for April" he smiled

"she's in the house, go on in, my mom is in there too" Arizona smiled as she took another puff off her smoke.

"don't be mad" Callie whispered

"I'm not mad, just a little" Arizona sighed

"overwhelmed" Callie finished for her. "I understand, but enjoy this, our lives are going to be very stressful in a few months" Arizona smiled wrapping her arms around Callie as best she could "you're right" she said kissing her cheek.

xxxxxxxxxxxx

The morning flew by, with preparations for the party, once Arizona was dressed she went and helped the band set up the rest of the equipment. Once they were done she stepped back and admired it all. Callie was right, she should enjoy this, once she was home, and the sale of The Coffee House was final, she wouldn't have anytime to think let alone have a party. Standing on the deck, looking out over the beach, where the makeshift stage was set up, Arizona smiled, hearing her sisters voice behind her "mom sure went all out this time"

"yeah she did" Arizona turned to look at her sister.

"don't be mad at her, she just wants this to be perfect" Teddy said touching her sisters shoulder

"I'm not, I was just overwhelmed with everything"

"good, now come on" Teddy said hearing the doorbell ring "your friends are here" Arizona smiled as the two turned around to make their way into the house as the door opened "you mean Callie's friend" Arizona whispered, seeing Miley walk through the door, the sisters shared a laugh. There was a crowd starting to form behind Miley, Blake, Adam, Addy, Jessie, and some other's Arizona had invited from the show. Arizona showed everyone to the back, where the band would be playing. As she grabbed herself a drink, she headed out looking for Callie.

"Arizona" Miley said meeting her at the bottom of the stairs

"hey what's up?"

"my dad will be here around" she paused to look at her phone "any minute now, how do you want to do this?"

"um" Arizona said looking around for her mom, "should we have her get the door? Or, wait hold on" she said as she nodded for Miley to follow her to the small group of her wife, sister and sister in law. "how do we want to handle this?"

"what do you mean?" Teddy asked confused, she'd obviously had a few drinks already

"um" Arizona said nodding towards Miley

"oh right" Teddy laughed

"how about we surprise her out here" April piped in "I'll get the door or whatever"

"sounds good" Arizona smiled

"you just make sure you have your phone ready recording, she's going to want to see it" April smiled "when is he getting here?"

"anytime now" Miley smiled as she got a text "he's out front"

"that's my cue, see y'all in a bit" April said making her way into the house.

"what's going on?" Teddy asked

"have another drink sissy" Arizona laughed

"don't mind if I do" Teddy smiled, Arizona stepped away from them with her phone in her hand hitting the record button when she saw April appear at the top of the steps. They made their way down the stairs, and over to the table where Barbara was sitting. Arizona not far behind them, her phone recording, she went around the table, so she was in front of her mother. April cleared her throat "Barbara"

"yes dear" just as she turned her head April stepped out of the way. No one will forget what happened next. Barbara almost fell out of her chair taking the table with her.

"oh my god" Arizona laughed as she heard "it's you" she was staring deadpan into Billy Ray's eyes.

"yes it's me" he laughed "my lovely daughter told me you were a big fan"

"I, um" was all Barbara could get out "way to go you made my mom, the big news anchor, speechless" Arizona said laughing

"Arizona Robbins, that's not funny" her father protested

"oh come on dad, look at her" Arizona said pointing to her mother, Daniel took a good look at the way his wife was acting, he hadn't seen her act like that in a long time, if ever. "ok" he smiled, in agreement with his daughter.

"you must be Arizona?" Billy Ray said looking across the table

Arizona turned her phone off and shoved it in her pocket "yes I am" she said making her way around the table reaching out her hand

"I've heard so much about you, Miley never shuts up, and where's your wife, Callie?"

"I'm right here" Callie smiled shyly

"well my dear, it's really good to meet you" he took her hand shaking it

"so, you do have a crush on my wife?" Arizona said looking at Miley who smiled "ok maybe a little bit"

"ha I knew it" Blake called out from behind her, Miley didn't know what to do or say she stood there feeling her face turn red.

"hey it's ok" Arizona leaned in "I know she's amazing, but remember she's taken" she elbowed her

"oh it's nothing like that, I just" Miley noticed all eyes were on her, she sighed giving in "I know she's happily married" everyone had been making such a big fuss over it, she just decided to go along with it for the sake of her sanity. Thinking maybe now they'd shut up about it, no she didn't have a crush on Callie, she just enjoyed spending time with her, and the rest of Arizona's family.

Callie didn't know how to take what was being said. Being the shy person, she turned into, in front of strangers, she excused herself and headed into the house. Arizona watched, confused, "hey I'll be back" she said heading after her wife. "hey" Arizona said as she caught up with Callie just inside the door "what's going on?"

"nothing, I, I have to go to the bathroom" Callie said brushing passed Arizona and headed towards their room. Leaving Arizona standing there looking lost, shaking her head she followed Callie, when she got to the bedroom door she saw Callie sitting on the bed. "nothing's wrong huh?" Arizona said entering the room and shutting the door. Callie looked at her with wide eyes "you know everyone was just messing around out there. I don't honestly think Miley has a crush on you, last I heard she was just starting to see someone" Callie just stared at Arizona, as she got closer "listen, I know how you get when you're the center of attention, especially from people you hardly know, but baby, you married someone famous, it's bound to happen"

"I know, it's just so"

"overwhelming?" Arizona finished for her, as Callie nodded "I get it, I feel that way too sometimes, but come on, this is our birthday party, yours, mine and Teddy's. Let's go out there and make fun of my mom for acting like a teenager" Arizona reached for Callie's hand. When she finally smiled and let Arizona pull her into her arms whispering "I love you"

"I love you, too" Callie smiled as she placed a kiss on Arizona's lips

xxxxxxxxxxxx

"how's everyone doing tonight?" a voice came over the speakers, Arizona turned to look, seeing Phil, her base player at the mic. She couldn't help but smile, "alright if we could possibly get Arizona, Teddy and Callie up here" he said. Callie looked at Arizona wide eyed

"come on" Arizona said taking her hand and pulling her

"but"

"come on" Arizona said looking in her eyes "I promise it'll be alright, and remember your dad is here" Callie closed her eyes saying a silent prayer that she wouldn't have a panic attack, and let Arizona pull her up to the make shift stage. "you're beautiful" Arizona whispered placing a kiss on her cheek.

"alright" Phil said "I know your birthdays aren't until next month, but we, the band wanted to give the three of you a little tribute" the band started playing a song that Arizona had told them she and Teddy used to sing to when they were teenagers.

"oh, hell no" Arizona shook her head

"come on sissy, you did it in that lezbo bar we went to" Teddy said reaching for the mic, Arizona rolled her eyes and looked at Callie, who took a deep breath and shrugged her shoulders. Arizona reached for the other mic, with her free hand she reached for Callie's. Teddy started belting out the words, in her not so sober state, Arizona and Callie both had a hard time not laughing. Arizona had to save Teddy from not falling off the stage, as she got into the lyrics, jumping around. She looked out at the crowd, seeing the two team mates, she smiled, a closer looked told her something different. Addy, was staring longingly at the stage, following her gaze, Arizona quickly realized she was staring at her sister. Shaking her head to clear it and get back into the song, 'it's just because she's drunk and singing' she told herself 'I hope'. The three Robbins girls finished the song, or Teddy did, calling out to do another one, Arizona, with the help of Callie and April, pulled Teddy off the stage. "how about we get Arizona back up here?" Phil said into the mic. Rolling her eyes Arizona climbed back up.

"alright you got me" she smiled "what is it you wanted" she said into the mic

"well to sing with us, duh" Phil leaned forward saying into the mic. Arizona smiled, and nodded as the band started playing. Arizona smiled, it was one of her favorite songs and the band knew it. Well so far, her newest would be the one she loved most, but no one outside of her circle had heard it yet. Finding Callie in the crowd that had gathered, she was pretty sure most the people there weren't actually invited, she smiled, as her eyes met Callie's, she started singing.

When I am sitting in traffic some afternoon
Or bored to death in some waiting room
I am gonna close my eyes and picture you
Today

You keep brushing that hair back out of your eyes
And it just keeps falling and so do I
I am feeling like the luckiest girl alive
Today

And I don't know about tomorrow
Right now the whole world feels right
And the memory of a day like today
Can get you through the rest of your life

I know it won't always be like this
Life can change as quick as a kiss
It's not over yet and I already miss
Today

And I don't know about tomorrow
Right now the whole world is right
And the memory of a day like today
Can get you through the rest of your life

And as the seasons change and time goes by
When your hair is gray and so is mine
I know for sure that you're gonna be
Just as beautiful as you are to me
Today

Bring on tomorrow
I've got today
Bring on tomorrow
I've got today
Bring on tomorrow
Right now the whole world is right
Bring on tomorrow
Because the memory of a day like today
Can get your through the rest of your life

"you are so lucky" Addy whispered into Callie's ear.

Callie smiled "yes, I am" feeling all the love Arizona had for her in that song.

"thanks everyone, now I'm here to party not sing" Arizona said taking the mic "those of you who weren't actually invited to our party, welcome, there's drinks a whole lot of food, help yourself" she smiled placing the mic back on the stand, turned towards the band "take a break, get some food"

"thanks Zo" Phil said

"no thank you all for being here, I know it's far from home"

"nothing we wouldn't do for you" Bruce said as he wrapped her in a hug. She turned hopping down off the stage, as Callie flew to her arms.

"wow" Addy said looking at Miley

"I know it's sweet" Miley smiled "I want to find that someday"

"you will" Addy said, turning her head and saw Teddy "we all will, someday" Arizona turned around, just in time to see Addy looking at Teddy "hmm" she let out

"what?" Callie asked in confusion

"I don't really know, but look at the way Addison is looking at Teddy" Arizona whispered

"wow" Callie said seeing it right away, they saw Teddy kiss April, the look on April's face was nothing but annoyance. "is everything ok with them?"

"last I knew" Arizona said taking her wife's hand "come I need a drink"

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"alright everyone, as Mrs. Robbins, gets the cake ready to bring out" Phil said into the mic

"which Mrs. Robbins" Teddy called out almost falling over "you know there's three of them" she wanted everyone to know that she was married.

"the elder Mrs. Robbins" Phil said, as he tried not to laugh "Arizona, can we have you come up here please"

"oh come on" Arizona said rolling her eyes

"please" Phil begged into the mic

Sighing heavily, Arizona climbed back up on the stage "this is supposed to be my party I don't really want to"

"calm down" Phil said "we just wanted to give you this" he added handing Arizona a card.

xxxxxxxxxxxx

"Arizona" she heard a voice say from behind her. She was standing by the stage in a conversation with Miley about the show. She stiffened as she heard a voice she will never forget. Turning around, she saw a face she hadn't seen in a long time. "Julie" she whispered, she couldn't get any more out. Julie was Arizona's ex-girlfriend, the one that before Callie, in Arizona's mind she was the one that got away, at the time. When they broke up, it took everything Teddy had to get her out of her funk, until that day in The Coffee House, when Callie approached them.

"hi" Julie smiled "it's been a while"

"yeah" Arizona said fidgeting

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"who's that?" Callie asked turning to Teddy

"who's who?" Teddy said turning to see who Arizona was talking to "shit" she sobered up instantly "um" she wasn't sure how to explain it, or even if she wanted to "that's, um" she cleared her throat "that's Julie" Callie's eyes went wide as she watched her wife talk to her ex-lover.

"I didn't mean to barge in, I was taking a walk down the beach and saw a party, not knowing who it was until I heard your name being called" she smiled "I hope that's alright, I wanted to stop and say hi"

"it's, it's fine" Arizona said still fidgeting, she reached for Callie who was standing there next to her staring "this is my" she stuttered over saying it, catching herself "this is my wife Callie"

"wife?" Julie said confused "oh right, I read you got married" Arizona gave her a weak smiled as Julie reached out her hand "Callie was it?" Callie nodded "it's good to meet you, I'm Julie, an old friend of Arizona's"

"I know who you are" Callie almost hissed, she felt Teddy's hand on her back, trying to calm her down. As Teddy made her presents known.

"Teddy, it's so good to see you again"

"too bad I don't feel the same" Teddy said in a harsh tone, Arizona had to hold back a laugh. "why are you here?" Teddy asked the question she knew everyone wanted the answer to.

"just stopped by to say hi" Julie could feel that all eyes were on her "and now that I did, I'll be on my way"

"damn right you will" Teddy said standing next to her sister, almost puffing out her chest.

"Arizona, I live around here" Julie said taking out a piece of paper writing something on it and handing it to Arizona "get a hold of me, I'd love to catch up"

Arizona was still reeling from everything that was going on, she took the paper from her and smiled a weak smiled, as Julie turned on her heels and left.

"why the hell was she here" Callie asked through gritted teeth

"I" Arizona took a deep breath "I have no idea"

"Callie, she hasn't seen or heard from her in almost 8 years, no one has, you have no reason to" Teddy started but Callie cut her off "I have a reason to be whatever I want to be, she's my wife"

"yes, I am your wife, and I introduced you as such"

"girls, don't fight" April pleaded

"we aren't fighting" Callie said turning on her heels and heading into the house. Arizona watched as Callie headed for the house. Sighing Arizona caught eyes with her mom, who nodded and headed after Callie. Following her to the bedroom she softly knocked on the door "Callie honey, can I come in?"

"go away Barbara" Callie said through sobs

"honey, I'm sorry but I'm not going away" Barbara said reaching for the door knob turning it entering the room. She saw Callie sitting on the bed with her head in her hands. Barbara took a deep breath, she'd never seen Callie like this, she hadn't seen anyone like this in years. She walked over, sitting next to Callie on the bed, put her arm around her and softly whispered "she loves you"

"why did"

"Callie, I don't know why Julie showed up out of nowhere, but I guarantee you Arizona hasn't talked to her in years, since way before she met you" Callie took a deep breath, as Barbara went on "listen, Julie maybe Arizona's past, but you my dear, you are her present and future, if those years apart didn't tell you anything, they have told the rest of us that you two were meant for each other. I have to be honest, I seen you a few times that first year, you were a shell of the person you are right now, as was Arizona. If I could go back and change everything I would, but I can't, all I can do is help fix the problems that arise right now" Barbara stopped as she heard a noise at the door, figuring it'd be Arizona, but it wasn't.

"mom can I try?" Teddy asked closing her eyes to try and sober herself up a little more, Barbara nodded, as Teddy made her way into the room. Getting down so she was eye level with Callie "now listen here" she said taking Callie's head in her hands "she hasn't had any communication with that dumb bitch since way before she met you. From the moment you came over and introduced yourself to us, Arizona's world was all about you. Don't let 5 minutes of that dumb bitch ruin everything you and Arizona have spent the last 5 years making"

"Theodora" Barbara scolded at Teddy's choice of words

"sorry mom, but it's true"

"I know, but I felt I had to say something" Barbara giggled. Callie couldn't help but let a small giggle escape. This family really was going to be the death of her.

"now buck up buttercup, we have a party to finish, mom hasn't even brought out the cake"

Callie sat there for a bit contemplating what her next move would be. She nodded, and gave Teddy a small smile "good, I'll see you outside" she said leaving the room.

"Barbara," Callie whispered softly, Barbara looked at her, with a loving tone "when we get back home would you mind having one of those mother daughter talks with me? One that you give Teddy and Arizona?"

"I'd love too, honey" Barbara smiled as she pulled Callie into a tight hug, kissing the top of her head "after all you are one of my daughters"

xxxxxxxxxxx

"what that hell was that about?" Miley asked

"that was my" Arizona paused "my old girlfriend"

"oh" Miley said looking back in the direction Julie had went "is she single" Arizona glared at her "whoa, tough crowd" Arizona looked away sighing "hey I'm just trying to lighten the mood"

"I know thank you"

"is Callie going to be alright"

"I don't know" Arizona said sighing. "I haven't seen or heard from Julie since we broke up, honestly I don't even think about her and I haven't in years"

"well I for one think Callie's better looking" Miley said

"thanks" Arizona gave her a half smile.

"Arizona" April said nodding to the deck where Callie was standing, Arizona nodded and headed towards the stairs. Callie stood at the top looking down upon her wife, Arizona didn't say anything, just stood there staring at Callie, who snapped out of it, flying down the stairs and into Arizona's arms. "I'm sorry" she said before kissing her. Arizona pulled back taking Callie's head in her hands "I love you, and only you"

"I know" Callie smiled kissing her again

"we'll talk later, but right now, let's enjoy this party"

"sounds good to me" Callie said leaning her head on Arizona's shoulder, Arizona kissed the top of her head and led her back to the party. Everyone quickly forgetting what just happened.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The sun had just disappeared beneath the horizon, the sky turned dark, as a few stars made their way to brighten the sky. The band was in full swing, Arizona thought even more people had shown up. She laughed as she said as much to Callie. Looking around Callie didn't know any of the faces she now saw being dimly lit by the small tekke torches that lit up the beach. Finding Barbara, Callie couldn't help but smile, seeing Billy Ray Cyrus standing next to her.

"I just wanted to say good night and thank you for an, um, rather eventful evening" he smiled

"oh" Barbara said still in shock at meeting her crush

"thank you for coming, I know it meant a lot to my wife" Daniel said reaching out his hand to shake Billy Ray's

"no problem, it was my pleasure" he smiled taking Daniel's hand.

Callie got Arizona's attention "it looks like Miley's dad is getting ready to leave"

"I should go say goodbye" Arizona smiled "you coming"

Callie not wanting to be away from Arizona, and she hadn't been far since the escapade that happen earlier in the evening, nodded and followed Arizona to where her parents were.

"it was good to meet you all" Billy Ray said again, turning and almost running into Arizona "and you" he pulled her into a hug "I'm so glad to finally meet the both of you, I should have mentioned earlier Miley does nothing but talk about the two of you"

"dad" Miley said from behind him, he smiled "I'll see you at your house" he smiled nodding to his daughter. As she rolled her eyes. Everyone in the small group smiled and waved goodbye.

Barbara walked up to Miley, pulling her in for a hug "thank you so much"

"it's no problem, Mrs. Robbins, he was in town, and I know he had fun"

"did someone say fun?" they heard Blake say from behind them

"not your kind of fun" Miley rolled her eyes

"why is your dad leaving?" Blake asked

"he's got an early flight tomorrow" Miley said

"oh, well I have an idea if you two are up for it" he said looking at Miley and Arizona

"um, that depends on what it is" Arizona smiled

"well Adam and I were over there talking" he said pointing towards the stage where Adam was now talking to Phil "we thought it'd be cool for the four of us to sing something together"

"like what?" Miley said

"come on" Blake nodded with a smile "you'll know it once it starts"

Arizona looked at Miley, both smiling "what the hell" they followed Blake to the stage as they all took their respectful places, the band started playing. Arizona nodded her acceptance, as Adam started with the lyrics "Just a small town girl"

Arizona came in next, "Livin' in a lonely world"

Next came Miley "She took the midnight train Goin' anywhere"
Blake took the last part, as it totally didn't fit him, but they went with it, both girls holding back a chuckle as to how the song was playing out. "Just a city boy Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train Goin' anywhere"

Arizona stepped out front and belted out "A singer in a smokey room"
Miley smiled following her lead "The smell of wine and cheap perfume"
Adam followed suit "For a smile they can share the night"
All four of them came together for the "It goes on and on, and on, and on

Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching
In the night
Streetlight people
Livin' just to find emotion
Hidin' somewhere in the night"

They let Blake take the next part "Workin' hard to get my fill"
Adam came in with "Everybody wants a thrill"
Miley belted out "Payin' anything to roll the dice"
Arizona smiled "Just one more time"
they all came in again "Some will win
Some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on, and on, and on

Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching
In the night
Streetlight people
Livin' just to find emotion
Hidin' somewhere in the night"

The crowd was amazed, seeing four of the top selling artist sing a song so popular by a band of a different time. "wow we should go on tour with that" Adam smiled

"yeah not for me" Blake smiled "but that was fun, we should do it for the show"

"maybe" Adam smiled, looking at Arizona "the four of us do have to preform together, you know, that right?"

"yeah, let's do it, we can count that as a rehearsal" Miley smiled

"I'm in, as long as I get to start, I'm sorry but it sounded funny having Adam sing the first verse" Arizona laughed

"she's right" Blake laughed "but we'll talk about it later, right now it's getting late and I'm old"

"thanks for coming Blake" Arizona smiled

"anytime" he smiled "happy birthday"

"my birthday isn't until next month" Arizona rolled her eyes "my mom just wanted to throw a party because the three of us wouldn't be together for it"

"the three of you?" Blake asked confused

Arizona nodded "Teddy and I will be here, unless she decides to go home, and Callie" she took a deep breath "Callie will be at home"

"what's Callie have to do with it?" Blake asked still confused

"oh" Arizona laughed "Callie's birthday is 5 days after mine"

"ah ok" Blake smiled "I'll see you on Monday" Arizona smiled turning around to find the rest of her family. She saw Callie talking to Miley, she couldn't help but laugh, and Teddy was talking to Addy, watching the two of them a little closely "hmm" she said to herself.

"will you stop hitting on my wife" Arizona smiled, Miley jumped back "I, I wasn't"

"I know I'm just fucking with you"

"oh" Miley let out the breath she was holding.

"hit on her all you want, just remember, she goes home with me" Arizona smiled, Miley wasn't quite sure on how to take it. She found there was something about Callie that intrigued her. She forced a smile on her face, trying to force the feeling she had in the pit of her stomach, away. "I think I'm going to head out"

"so soon?" Callie asked

"yeah, I have a few things I need to get done tomorrow and I don't want to sleep all day"

"I'd prefer to sleep all day" Arizona looked at Callie with a wink, both of them feeling a little tipsy

"you do that then" Miley smiled, as she leaned in giving Arizona a hug "I had a lot of fun, happy birthday"

"thanks" Arizona smiled, she watched Miley turn towards Callie, and noticed there was some awkwardness going on, Miley looked up at Arizona who nodded, holding back a laugh, she watched as Miley went to hug Callie, whispering something in her ear. When she pulled back she looked at Arizona "will you tell Teddy for me?"

"I'm sure you'll see her soon enough" Arizona smiled

"alright" Miley nodded "good night"

"good night" Arizona said wrapping her arms around Callie
