Here is another chapter. Thanks for reading.

Chapter 27

Arizona sighed, sitting in April's office with Addison, only half listening to what she was saying, her mind on the conversation that she and Callie had

xxxxxxxxx

"every got damn time we are in a good place this seems to happen" Callie said trying to keep her voice down, she didn't need Teddy and Addy hearing them fight, especially about this.

"you can come with" Arizona said not knowing what else to say

"really?" Callie looked at her

"well, I don't know what you want me to say"

"I want you to say you won't go, we have a business to run now"

"Calliope this is my career, you knew the possibility of me going out on tour again might come up"

"and this is my career" Callie said taking a deep breath to calm herself "you just got back" she whispered, trying hard to keep the tears from sneaking out of her eyes

"I'm not leaving tomorrow, or next week even, it's just a thought Brad had, nothing is set in stone yet" Callie looked up at her with tear-filled eyes, Arizona took a deep breath "how about I go on this one, and that's it? I'll be done, with the exception of helping Addison"

"you'd really quit?" Callie asked still looking at her, Arizona nodded "for you, yes, besides I'm sure once Addy gets out there I'll be a has been"

Callie sighed "I don't want you to quit"

"then what do you propose we do here?" Arizona asked looking at her "you don't want me to quit, but you don't want me to go on tour?"

"Arizona, you can't just quit, don't you have a contract"

"the contract was over a year ago" Arizona reached out for Callie, who pulled away sighing she said "that last tour I went on, the one where you and Teddy came to Minneapolis, was it"

"was it?" Callie asked confused

"they would like me to put out another album, but other than that, I have no obligations with them anymore"

"then why'd you throw a fit when April left"

"because she's my friend, and my manager, do you know how hard it is to find a good manager in this business? Someone who's not out to make a buck and steal from you?" Callie didn't say anything. Arizona closed her eyes, taking yet another deep breath "Callie I love you, you know you always come first" Callie looked at her "I was serious about quitting, at least the going on tour part, I'll go to April and tell her just that"

"Arizona" Callie said in a sigh "I just don't want you to leave me again, I just got you back"

"let Addy and I go talk to them and see what they have to say, besides this will be good for her" she said reaching out for her again, surprised at this time she didn't pull away. Arizona pulled her in close, feeling her start to sob into her chest.

xxxxxxxxx

Arizona was brought out of her thoughts by April's voice calling her name, she realized they must have asked her a question "what" she asked confused shaking her head

"I asked if you had any input on how the tour should go" April asked laughing

"sorry" Arizona cleared her throat "we need to talk about that"

"oh" April said looking into Arizona's blue orbs that held a hint of sadness "what's going on?"

"well" Arizona looked at Addison, sighing, she and Teddy had heard the fight, as much as they tried not to, it was like a train wreck you couldn't look away, or in this case tune it out. "Callie and I talked about it, if you want me to go on this tour" she paused sighing "it will be my last"

"your last, but Arizona"

"you didn't let me finish, it will be my last tour around the US. I will still put out albums, and do shows, but they have to be close to home, not being gone for a day or more" April looked at her stunned "we have a business to run now, and that and Callie have to be my first priorities, I have a family, I can't be traveling all over god knows where to put on shows for people who don't even know me"

"I, I understand" April said looking down, "I knew this was coming, every time the mention of you going on tour came up, Callie would" she stopped giving Arizona a sad smile.

"and of course I'm here to help you" she said looking at Addison "with anything you need"

"I have an idea" April said standing up "I'll be back" Arizona watched as she disappeared out of the room.

"I'm sorry I caused a fight with you and Callie" Addy whispered once April was gone

"you didn't cause the fight, I did, I knew she was going to react like she did, given our past" Arizona sighed

"I've never really heard the whole story, would you mind telling me sometime?"

"there's not much to tell, I got the record deal, she was fine with everything until they wanted me to go on tour, I asked her to come with me, she said no, so I left and didn't talk to her for 2 years" Arizona said looking down at her ring. "since we've gotten back together, I've tried to reassure her we aren't the same people, that's why we rushed the wedding"

"are you regretting it?"

"oh hell no" Arizona looked up into Addison's eyes "never in a million years would I regret marrying Calliope, I love her with everything I have" Addy nodded "I just wish the wedding would have been everything she wanted"

"it was everything she wanted" April said sitting down at her desk, Arizona didn't hear her come back in "I remember the day you got married, we talked about it. Your mom asked her about her dream wedding, and her answer was, her dream was to marry you, it didn't matter where, or when, or that she didn't have the perfect dress, Arizona she loves you, that is something the whole world can see" Arizona smiled looking up at her friend "I missed you"

"I missed you too" April smiled "Brad is on his way, we may have come up with a compromise to this situation" Arizona looked at Addy they both smiled "good"

"hello ladies" Brad smiled entering the office "I hear we have a dilemma"

"of course, we do, you know the situation" Arizona tried to laugh it off but couldn't

"well" he said making himself comfortable on the edge of April's desk "it seems Miss April here has come up with an idea" Arizona looked over at April confused

"you want to be there to help Addy, right?"

"yeah, of course"

"how about we manage her together? I'll take the tours, since I don't have anything holding me here, and you take her when she's here, you know more about how to deal with that side of the recording then I do"

"you know" Arizona said looking at Addy who smiled "I think that just might work" she found herself in a better mood after that.

"Callie did agree to let me go on this last tour" Arizona said "I told her it would be great for Addison's career, if she were to tour with me"

"ok" Brad said looking at April

"can I ask one thing though"

"anything" he smiled

"can you either keep it close to home, or make it so I can be home for a few days in between"

"I can do that" he smiled happy they came to an agreement that would work best for all involved. "alright I have some phone calls to make" he stuck out his hand "Addison welcome aboard" Addy shook his hand "Arizona, we'll get this all worked out, I'll be in touch" Arizona nodded watching Brad leave the office.

"wow" April said wiping the sweat off her forehead "I'm glad that worked out, I didn't want to see you quit"

"if it would have come down to it I would have"

"I know" April smiled

"by the way, my mom was wondering if you'd like to join us for dinner" Arizona said "I know it'd be awkward, but I told her I'd ask"

"you know" April said looking at Addy, who was squirming in her chair "I'd love to" she smiled

"great" Arizona said standing up "I will let her know, and get back to you on when"

"ok" April smiled a sad smile, as Arizona and Addy got up to leave. Arizona turned in the doorway to see April with her head in her hands, she nodded for Addy to go ahead, "I'll be out in a minute" Addy nodded and made her way to the exit "hey" Arizona said standing in the doorway April looked up at her, Arizona could see the unshed tears in her eyes "if it's too much I'll tell mom no"

"no, no" April sighed "I think it'd be good for me to see her again"

"why don't we have lunch tomorrow, meet me at The Coffee House at noon?"

"doesn't Teddy?"

"she's not working tomorrow, Callie and Cristina will be there, that'll give us a chance to really talk"

"ok" April smiled

"alright see you then" Arizona smiled turning on her heals making her way to the exit, giving Billie a quick wave as she passed.

Arizona sighed plopping down on the couch, she felt her phone go off, pulling it out she rolled her eyes at her mother's name being lit up on the screen. She didn't feel like talking to her, but she hit the answer button anyway "hi mom"

"hello dear" her mother replied "I was calling to remind you and Callie that the flight leaves at 8 on Friday"

"flight for what?" Arizona asked confused

"Auckland, New Zealand, don't you remember? We gave you and Callie the trip for your birthday"

"oh right, sorry, I've had a lot going on the last few days"

"it's ok dear, did you ask April about dinner?" Barbara asked

"I did, and although she said she'd come, I just don't think it's a good idea, at least right now"

"well" Barbara said "I suppose your right, but I'd love to see her again, her and I got so close"

"well" Arizona sighed "she's meeting me for lunch tomorrow at The Coffee House, you can come if you want"

"I think I have some meetings in the morning, what time?"

"noon"

"that should work" Barbara smiled "I'll see you then"

"alright thanks mom" Arizona smiled as they said their goodbyes, she hung up the phone breathing heavy, she had completely forgot about the trip. Thinking about it now, she was rather excited, spending time alone with Callie was just what they both needed. Sighing and laying down on the couch she must have drifted off to sleep, being woken up by Callie standing over her laughing. "what's so funny?"

"you were talking in your sleep"

"what did I say?"

"that you wanted to go on the tilt-a-whirl" Callie laughed

"what?" Arizona asked confused,

"I don't know it was your dream" Callie smiled, leaning down kissing her, Arizona sat up so Callie could sit down, rubbing her face with her hands "what time is it?"

"4:30"

"mmm" Arizona said leaning on Callie's shoulder

"where's everyone?"

"I don't know, I was sleeping"

"right" Callie laughed

"by the way" Arizona yawned "my mom called, apparently our flight leaves at 8 Friday morning"

"flight for what?" Callie too had forgotten about the trip

"Auckland, New Zealand"

"oh shit, right I forgot" Callie laughed "I should call and remind Richard"

"probably" Arizona said feeling Callie move to get her phone out of her pocket, as she dialed Richard's number. "hey" she said into the phone "I was calling to remind you about that trip that Barbara talked to you about"

"yup, I got it wrote in my book" Richard said Callie could hear the smile in his voice

"good, because apparently we both forgot" she laughed

"I kind of figured that since neither one of you mentioned anything" he laughed "I got you covered, go have fun, and most importantly relax, I know Arizona has been stressed lately, just enjoy each other's company"

"thanks Richard" Callie smiled "I'll see you tomorrow"

"yes, you will" he said hanging up

"we're good, he was laughing at us because we forgot, he had it wrote down"

"that's good" Arizona smiled moving her head, her lips found Callie's neck, she moaned at the feeling, turning her head so their lips would meet. Arizona pushed her down on the couch, climbing on top of her. They were in the middle of a heavy make out session, when they heard a voice say "god, get a room"

"considering this is my house, every room is my room" Arizona looked up at her sister.

"yeah whatever" Teddy said making her way to the love seat and sitting down, more like plopping down "god, Callie I don't know how you do it, I'm beat"

"you'll get used to it" Callie smiled as she pushed Arizona off her.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"why the hell is the line so long?" Callie asked, they were in the airport trying to get through security

"I don't know, I thought we got here early enough" Arizona said looking around, pulling her Minnesota Twins hat down lower "god I hope no one recognizes me"

"why you love interacting with your fans"

"yeah not today" she adjusted her backpack on her shoulder and took Callie's hand with her free hand. Finally getting through security, they made it to the gate just in time for the plane to begin boarding "damn that was lucky" Arizona said reaching in her bag for the tickets, handing Callie hers. "wow they spared no expense"

"first class is the way to go" Arizona said shoving her bag under the seat in front of them. "just to forewarn you I'll probably pass out after takeoff"

"I figured, you've had a rough week" Callie said buckling her seat belt then reaching for Arizona's hand "did you and April come to an agreement?"

"oh yeah, we've both been so busy I forgot to tell you" Arizona said looking at Callie hoping she wouldn't freak out "it was decided that, if it's ok with you, I would go on that tour with Addison" Arizona stopped seeing Callie's facial expression change "they will keep it close to home, and I'll be home at least 2 nights a week"

Callie let out the breath she was holding "I guess that sounds fair enough"

"and when that's done, I'm going to be Addison's co-manager, April's going to take the tours, and I'll do what I can back home"

"now that's something I can live with" Callie smiled "how awkward is that going to be with April, Teddy and Addy?"

"I don't know" Arizona laughed "that's something they are going to have to work out for themselves, they are all adults after all" Arizona said turning her head to look out the window as the plane began to taxi to the runway.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

As predicted Arizona passed out shortly after the plane got in the air. Callie looked over, watching Arizona sleep, was something she treasured. It was the only time she could just stare at her wife without being caught or made fun of. Arizona mumbled something incoherent, Callie smiled, reaching for her hand, leaned her head on Arizona's shoulder, quickly falling asleep herself, not waking up until the pilot came over making the announcement that they would be landing soon. Turning to see Arizona still asleep, she smiled, and reached up to touch her face. "mm" Arizona said moving her head, soon Callie was looking into those pools of blue she loved so much. She couldn't help but smile, "we're about to land" she whispered

"I heard that" Arizona smiled moving in her seat, the seat belt was cutting into her stomach the way she was sitting.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

"are you hungry?" Arizona asked, as they made their way to the baggage claim

"a little, but I can wait"

"ok" Arizona smiled as she saw their suitcase being dropped off the chute, she reached for it and nodded to the door.

"wow it's gorgeous here" Callie commented as they stepped outside

"of course" Arizona laughed seeing a guy standing outside a car with a sign reading their names

"they spared no expense" Callie laughed

"guess not" Arizona laughed pulling Callie towards the car, handing the suitcase to the guy as they climbed in. Pulling up outside the hotel they were in awe of the beauty it entitled. Inside was no different, beautiful paintings on the wall, the grand moldings looked as if they were hand carved from some old person. Arizona laughed to herself thinking about that. She was horrible at explaining things, Callie's told her that on more than one occasion. After checking in they went to the room. "my god this bed is so soft" Callie said sitting down. "come see"

Looking at her, Arizona's heart swelled "baby, if I come over there we aren't going to be getting out of it anytime soon"

"so" Callie smiled her sly smile reaching for Arizona's hand almost falling off the bed in the process. Finally giving in, Arizona let Callie pull her down, as she was hovering on top of her. Getting lost in the chocolate brown orbs she whispered "I love you" moving a strand of hair off Callie's face, Callie smiled "I love you too" as they crashed together, making love to each other slowly, taking their time, savoring one another. After all they were on no time limit, with nowhere to be for the next 5 days. After making love several times, they both passed out in sheer exhaustion, waking up a couple hours later to Arizona's phone going off with a text from Barbara

I hope you two are enjoying your well-deserved honeymoon, take care and have fun love mom.

"nice" Arizona smiled reading the text once her eyes adjusted to the darkness that enveloped the room now that the sun had set.

"what's that" Callie asked moving so she was laying on Arizona's chest

"my mom" Arizona held the phone, so Callie could read it "she loves you" Callie smiled moving, so she was looking at Arizona, her face only being lit by the light of the phone.

"I know" Arizona smiled "she loves you just as much"

"mm" Callie said laying her head back down, Arizona typed out a quick reply of thanks and love you too, then tossed her phone back on the night stand, wrapped her arms around Callie, both drifting off to sleep, not to be awaken again until the sun shined through the windows, neither one of them had thought to close the curtains, and the room faced the east. Groaning Callie rolled off Arizona, and over to the window. "wow" she was in awe of the view from their room, they weren't far from the beach, maybe a few blocks to her left, to her right she could see the mountains. "baby you should see this view"

"I can, and it's beautiful" Arizona said looking at Callie who was standing at the window naked

"not me you idiot, the view outside" Callie laughed

"oh" Arizona swung her legs over the side of the bed, making her way to the window, standing behind Callie she wrapped her arms around her from behind. "damn, you were right"

"let's get dressed, find some food" Callie no more than said the word and her stomach started to growl "then go sightseeing"

"sounds amazing to me" Arizona kissed her pulling her towards the bathroom.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The week went by too quick, the next thing they knew they were on a plane heading home. Pulling up outside the house, Teddy came running out to meet them. "thank god you're back"

"I see the house is still standing" Arizona joked

"I made sure she didn't burn it down, you know making toast or something" Addy smiled from the door way

"hey, I can cook" Teddy protested, Arizona shook her head and smiled, the time away was nice, but she missed the craziness of her sister.

"don't make any plans for Friday, April wants us at the studio bright and early" Addy said following Arizona into the house

"why us? Doesn't she just need you?" Arizona was confused, Addy was the one who needed to go in and record, not her

"apparently, Brad listened to that song of yours that we sang together again, and decided that it sounded amazing with our voices and wants to redo it for your album"

"great" Arizona rolled her eyes, "guess I better dust off my notebook, I got an album to make"

"me too" Addy smiled "I was thinking after our meeting on Friday I'd head home for the weekend"

"Teddy going too"

"I believe so, I can't see her staying here without me"

"just promise me you won't come back married" Arizona laughed, although she wasn't entirely joking remembering how April and Teddy disappeared for a weekend and ended up married

"no worries there, I'm not ready for that"

"good" Arizona smiled "I'm going to go get freshened up, it was a long flight"

"ok, I was going to start dinner"

"thank god a home cooked meal, I'm so tired of restaurant food" Callie said reaching for the suitcase that Arizona was still holding and heading up the stairs, Arizona wasn't too far behind her, still carrying her carry on.

"do you happened to know where I put my notebook" Arizona asked looking around the room, in the short time she'd been back from LA they moved rooms and went on vacation. She hadn't had much time to organize everything.

"um" Callie looked around the room, walking over to the night stand on Arizona's side of the bed, opening the drawer "it's right here" she pulled it out and held it up

"thanks baby" Callie smiled at her tossing the notebook on the bed

"I can't wait to hear the songs"

"I actually can't wait either, especially Lucky, I can't believe they want Addy and I to do it together, Adam was supposed to"

"with the fact that you wrote it maybe they just want it to be more you"

"maybe" Arizona smiled "I'm going to jump in the shower, are you joining me?"

"of course" Callie smiled walking towards the bathroom taking off her shirt as she walked, tossing it on the floor. Arizona smiled, following her and the motions.

They forgot about the trip, and apparently so did I lol I know there wasn't much said about it but I forgot where I was going with it. Hope you enjoyed it anyway.
