Hey guy hope everyone is doing well. Here's the next chapter. Just a reminder I don't really own anything is all make believe.
Chapter 28
Arizona stood in the middle of the bookstore, not entirely sure what she was looking for, something for Callie, she loved books, the weather and writing. Callie was working on her next book, but with The Coffee House taking up most if, not all their time, neither one had time to do the things they loved. Arizona had managed to squeeze in a little time to record a new album which was due out next week, just in time for Christmas. April had told her she thought it was the best one yet. In which Arizona just rolled her eyes and smiled. It wasn't that she didn't believe April, but she felt as if her heart wasn't in it anymore. She loved playing, and standing before a crowd, as they screamed out her name, and songs they wanted to hear, but it wasn't where she belonged, no she belonged in that coffee shop working beside the love of her life. As Arizona perused the bookstore, something caught her eye. She stopped, looking at the table that had books by various authors, she spotted one name, one name that she'd know anywhere. Smiling she reached over picking up the book, ran her finger across the name that was written in big bold letters The Day Everything Changed was written on the top with a picture of a sunset, Arizona thought for sure was taking at their beach house in LA, she recognized the rocks that weren't far from the house, she smiled as she read the authors name, Calliope Robbins. They hadn't had a chance to legally drop the Torres from their name, so Arizona was surprised that Callie had dropped it. Opening the book, she found the dedication.
This goes out to my wife Arizona, thank you for always standing by me, and believing in me, I know with you by my side I can do anything, and to my sister-in-law, Teddy, thank you for going behind my back and submitting this. And most importantly my dad, you are my hero, I love you all so much!
Callie
Arizona couldn't help but smile, as her eyes glistened with unshed tears, she pulled the book close to her hugging it. She must have looked like a crazy person, who on earth starts crying over a book. She was shaken out of her thoughts when she heard "can I help you find something" it was a young lady who worked there. Shaking her head, blinking back the tears Arizona faced the blonde next to her, clearing her throat "um, when did this come out?"
"this book? Um it came out today, what you see there is the only copies we have" she said picking up one of Callie's books "I guess the author is from here" Arizona couldn't help but chuckle to herself, either this chick wasn't into music or she hadn't taken a good look at her.
"well then" Arizona smiled as the girl looked up into Arizona's eyes, realization kicked in as to who she was talking too "oh my god" she said stepping back and laughing "I was going to ask if you knew the author, but I realize now I don't need to"
"no, no you don't" Arizona smiled "I know her pretty well"
"sorry I didn't realize who I was talking too" the blonde stated
"no problem, I kind of like it when people don't recognize me" Arizona smiled "so this came out today?"
"yup, fresh off the truck"
"she didn't tell me" Arizona said looking at the image on the front of the book
"maybe she didn't know, sometimes the authors aren't told exactly when the books will hit stores"
"well she did mention something about Christmas" Arizona smiled trying to remember what was said after Callie's last meeting with Mr. Karev. Shaking her head "thank you" she smiled
The girl smiled "is there something I can help you find?"
"um" Arizona said looking around "do you have any books on the weather?"
"of course," the girl smiled "follow me". Tucking Callie's book under her arm, she followed the girl to the other side of the store.

"look what I found" Arizona said almost slamming the book on the table, she was excited, meeting Teddy and Addy at The Coffee House.
"what is it?" Teddy asked
"take a close look" she said sliding the book towards her sister. Addy looked over Teddy's shoulder "when did it come out?"
"the girl said it came in today" Arizona smiled, turning her head seeing Callie behind the counter
"why didn't she tell us?" Teddy asked confused
"the girl said sometimes the authors don't know when they hit stores" Arizona went on to explain
"hmm" Teddy said turning around to look at Callie, who was busy making a drink for a waiting customer.
"this is awesome" Addy smiled taking the book from Arizona "can I read it?"
"there's more at the store" Arizona said pulling the book out of Addy's grip and held it close "this one is mine" she smiled "and it's time I go get it signed" she headed towards the counter.
"hey" Callie said looking up, she wasn't expecting to see Arizona in there today
"hi" Arizona smiled, the book was hidden behind her back "so, I have something for you"
"for me?" Callie looked up giving Arizona a confused look
"well it's more for me but" Arizona smiled as she moved her hands placing the book on the counter "will you sign this for me please Mrs. Robbins?"
"what" Callie said looking down, seeing the photograph she had chosen for the cover "where did you find this at?"
"the book store" Arizona said pointing "how come you didn't tell me it was coming out"
"I didn't know exactly when it was. Alex said something about being out before Christmas, but he never gave me an exact date"
"well, will you sign it for me please" Arizona asked picking up a pen and handing it to her. Callie shook her head rolling her eyes, with a smile "you're such a dork" reaching for the pen, she opened the cover and wrote something closing it, she looked Arizona in the eye "thank you have a great day" she smiled and turned away. Arizona laughed to herself reached for the book, turning around she opened it.

All Arizona could do was smile, closing her eyes. She turned back around "Callie, can I see you in the office for a minute" Callie turned to Cristina and whispered something, then followed Arizona into the office. Once inside Arizona shut and locked the door, reaching for Callie, she pinned her against it, kissing her. Callie laughed pulling away "you want to do this here?"
"sure, why not, it is my office"
"our office" Callie corrected her "and as much as I would love to make love to you right now, I'm working, and your sister is out there waiting for you"
"ugh, always gotta be the adult" Arizona rolled her eyes
"someone has to" Callie smiled "someday we will, I promise" she leaned in kissing Arizona's nose "I'll be home by 5, you can have me then"
"it's a promise" Arizona smiled as Callie unlocked the door and made her way back out to the front.

"what was that about?" Teddy asked with a smile
"apparently nothing" Arizona sighed, looking at the counter "do you guys need anything?"
"I'll take another coffee" Addy smiled
"and you?" she asked looking at Teddy who had a look of trying to figure out why the earth was round
"no I'm good" Teddy smile, Arizona rolled her eyes and turned towards the counter.

"no office sex?" Cristina asked once Callie was back
"no, no office sex" Callie smirked 'although it was very tempting'
"I remember when Owen and I first got together we were fucking like bunnies everywhere we went" Cristina went on to explained all the places that they've done it. "one time was even at one of Arizona's concerts" she smiled
"what about my concert?" Arizona asked making her way to where they kept the cups
"nothing" Callie blushed not wanting to have this conversation right now
"I was just telling Callie about all the places my husband and I have had sex"
"and one time was at one of my concerts?" Arizona laughed
"yeah in Minneapolis, it was about a year ago, or something pretty recent" Cristina shrugged
"oh god" Callie said feeling her face turn beet red "Cristina please shut up"
"am I embarrassing you?" she laughed "I'm sorry"
"we haven't been that adventuress, but maybe someday I'll break her, we are still young" Arizona winked, finished pouring her coffee's and left
"please, please, please don't give her any ideas"
"I think she has her own "Cristina smiled looking up at Arizona talking to Teddy and Addy "when do they go on tour?"
"the first week in January, right after the holiday's" Callie said looking at Arizona who was laughing with Addy
"it'll be ok" Cristina reached up putting her arm around Callie "I'll keep you entertained while she's gone" Callie looked at her and smiled. Cristina was a few years younger than her, but seemed to have all her ducks in a row, well for the most part. She was crazy, in a fun way, and always tried to make the best out of any situation. Something Callie desperately needed in her life, besides Arizona that is. "thank you" Callie said, looking up she saw Arizona on her phone.

"you're coming here? Why?" Arizona laughed
"because it's been a while since I've seen you, and well" Miley paused whispering the last part "I miss you"
"you're too funny"
"sorry"
"when will you be here?"
"um, I ah" Arizona just happened to turn around seeing Miley walk through the door "really?" she said into the phone, "I'm hanging up now" she saw Miley nod and pull the phone away from her ear, making her way towards the group, "I was hoping I had the right place, once I was outside I knew it was, when I saw the poster in the window"

"nice" Callie shook her head
"is that Miley Cyrus?" Cristina asked
Callie let out a chuckle "yes it is, she has some sort of weird fetish with Arizona"
"I wouldn't call it weird, she's kind of hot" Callie looked up at her "really?"
"look at her you don't think so?"
"no, not really" Callie rolled her eyes.
"but then again so is Arizona so"
"why are you talking about my wife"
"because I" Cristina laughed "I don't know, I don't know how this conversation even got started. Oh, look Meredith is here, time for you to go"
"yeah" Callie laughed "this conversation got out of hand"
"hello ladies" Meredith smiled tying her apron
"good you're here, Callie needs to go" Cristina said pushing Callie in the direction of the back room
"I don't need to go" Callie laughed "Cristina is just embarrassed because she let it slip she thinks Arizona is hot"
"wow, what did I walk into" Meredith laughed taking a look around seeing Arizona with Addy and Teddy and another woman, it took her a bit "dude is that Miley?"
"there it is" Callie laughed "yes"
"why is she here?"
"I have no idea, as far as I know she just showed up" Callie laughed untying her apron, folding it up "do you guys have this under control?"
"ah" Meredith looked around, "considering the only people in here is the owner, I think we can handle it" she winked
"well don't burn the place down" Callie laughed making her way around the counter

"what's that?" Miley asked spying Callie's book on the table
"it's a book" Arizona said "you open it and it has words in it" she picked up the book flipping the pages. "some people even learn things from them" her comment causes the table to erupt in laughter, Miley rolled her eyes "I see that, smart ass, what's it about?"
"a boy and his dog" Teddy laughed
"no really, I love books with pictures of the sunset on them, who wrote it" Miley asked picking it up reading the title "oh" she smiled looking up seeing Callie standing next to her "congrats"
"thanks, apparently it just came out" she shrugged her shoulders
"I've heard that happens, they never know the exact dates they'll hit stores" Miley smiled "can I read it?"
"if you get your own" Arizona reached up pulling the book out of her hand "this one is mine" everyone laughed at how childish Arizona was being "why are you here again?"
"I missed you" Miley smiled
"you missed my wife?" Callie asked
"who wouldn't?" Miley shrugged
"I don't" Teddy rolled her eyes laughing
"ah but you did and will when they go on tour" Miley smiled
"shhh" Arizona whispered, she was trying to keep the conversation far away from the tour, but she was surprised when Callie didn't flinch instead commented "let's face it, everyone misses Arizona when they aren't around her"
"and I wanted to see what everyone's plans were for New Years Eve" Miley smiled "but first, I'd love to try one of those amazing coffee's I've heard so much about"
"what would you like?" Callie asked
"caramel latte?" Miley smiled
"anyone else?" Callie looked around the table, everyone else shook their heads "alright be right back" they watched Callie walk away
"she seems different" Miley commented
"that's because you've never seen her in her natural habitat" Arizona laughed "but yeah she is different today, normally when the tour gets brought up she's quiet and" Arizona went silent
"so New Years Eve?" Miley asked
"oh" Arizona looked at Addy and Teddy "I'm not sure what's going on yet"
"I was thinking about throwing a party, any chance you'd come to LA?"
"oh, I don't know" Arizona looked around "with us running this place now, it's kind of hard for both of us to get time off"
"so shut it down for a week" Miley shrugged
"a week?" Arizona thought about all the business she'd lose in that week
"fine a few days" Miley smiled "come on Arizona, it wouldn't be a party without you"
"I'll talk to Callie"
"talk to me about what?" Callie asked handing Miley her drink, she nodded her thanks "I was thinking about having a New Years Eve party"
"oh" Callie said looking at Arizona "we um" she looked around
"I know that's why I said I'd have to talk to you" Arizona laughed to herself realizing she still had the book tucked against her.
"we'll talk about it later" Callie smiled "where are you staying?" she looked at Miley
"oh, um, I hadn't gotten that far yet" she laughed
"well" Callie cleared her throat "we have plenty of room if you want to stay at the house"
"sounds good to me" Miley smiled "lead the way"

"wow, I love this house" Miley smiled looking around
"my parents bought it after they got married" Callie said
"so you grew up here?"
"yup, and now it's ours" Callie smiled
"I'll show you to your room" Arizona nodded towards the stairs "the bathroom is there" she pointed to the door, "this is our room, Teddy's room is here" they walked a little farther down the hall "and here is where you'll be sleeping" Arizona opened the door. No one had been in the room since the day they cleaned it after Teddy decided she wanted Callie's old room.

"I had a thought" Teddy said walking into the living room one night
"oh god"
"just hear me out" Teddy smiled sitting on the arm of the chair "Callie's old room is bigger than the room I'm in now, and well if it were just me, I'd be fine with it, but"
"so you want to change rooms?" Arizona asked not looking away from the tv
"um, yeah if that's ok?"
"it's fine with me" Callie smiled looking at her sister in law, "it's not like we'll be using it"
"awesome" Teddy jumped up "I'm going to go work on it now"
"you have fun" Arizona smiled

"wow, it's nice" Miley said taking in her surroundings
"it's small" Arizona chuckled "it was Teddy's room for a bit, but she decided she wanted Callie's old room, so now it's our guest room, or Carlos's room when he comes to visit"
"how does he like Seattle?"
"he's loving it out there, he's met a lot of nice people, I even think he's dating someone" Arizona said in a hush tone "but Callie doesn't know that"
"nice" Miley smiled setting her bag on the bed "so what's there to do around here?"
"we normally just sit and relax" Arizona explained "with it being winter there's not much to do"
"right" she smiled "well lead the way to relaxation"

"ugh" Arizona said feeling her phone vibrate in her pocket she pulled it out "now what"
"who is it?" Callie asked
"I'll be right back" she said standing up answering the phone "hello"
"hi" the caller said
"hi"
"um, now I forgot why I was calling" April laughed
"nice"
"so um, well how are you?"
"I'm good" Arizona laughed she was now standing in the kitchen "how are you?"
"wonderful" Arizona could tell she wasn't telling the truth "oh yeah now I remember"
"ok"
"could you and Addison stop in tomorrow? We have some last-minute changes we need to go over"
"um" Arizona looked around trying to think if she had anything going on that she could put on hold for the day "I think we should be able to do that what time?"
"sometime in the morning, doesn't matter when"
"in the morning, huh?"
"yeah" April laughed "I'm catching a flight in the afternoon to go home for Christmas"
"ok, I'll let Addy know and we'll be there"
"thanks Zo" Arizona smiled she hadn't called her that in a while
"no problem, see you then"
"yup bye"

"who was that?" Callie asked as Arizona made her way back into the living room
"April" Arizona rolled her eyes
"oh" Addy sat up straighter "what did she want?"
"to meet with us tomorrow, apparently there's some last-minute things they want to go over"
"what time?"
"she didn't say just said it had to be in the morning she's going home for Christmas" Arizona said
"ok" Addy smiled making herself comfortable against Teddy
"oh, can I go with? I'd love to see how this studio is set up" Miley asked
"sure" Arizona laughed looking at Callie "it's getting late what should we do about dinner?"
"cereal is in the cupboard" Callie said not taking her attention from the tv
"we are not having cereal"
"I don't want to go anywhere, and I most definitely don't want to cook" Callie said finally looking at Arizona, she had a hard day at work and all she wanted to do was sit and veg out.
"we could order pizza" Teddy said
"ugh, no" Callie protested
"fine" Arizona threw her hands in the air and went back in the kitchen, where she started banging the cupboard doors.

"what the hell is her problem?" Teddy asked
"I don't know, she's never like this" Callie said looking at Miley, as she stood to make her way into the kitchen. "hey"
"what" Arizona barked not even looking at her.
"what's going on?" Callie asked in her sweet quiet voice. She saw Arizona take a deep breath, then turn around "nothing"
"Arizona" Callie reached out for her, pulling her in, she started to pull away but Callie held tighter
"I just" Arizona sighed "I don't want to go on tour"
"why?"
"I love being home, and with you every day, and with The Coffee House taking a lot of both of our time"
"I know" Callie kissed the top of her head "just do this last one, and that will be it, you said you guys made it so you won't be gone for long" Arizona was quiet "baby, we'll make it through this" she felt Arizona laugh "when did you become the rational one?"
"I don't know, I honestly never know what to say to you when you get like this"
"you're amazing" Arizona pulled back giving Callie a kiss, Callie smiled "I'm hungry, so lets either find something to cook, or go get something"
"I really don't want pizza" Callie said looking in Arizona's eyes
"and you don't want to go anywhere?"
"not really"
"alright" Arizona took a deep breath, reaching down for her hand taking her back in the living room "since nobody wants to cook, or wants pizza who wants to run with me to McDonalds?"
"I will" Miley said standing up.
"alright now everyone decides what they want, you got 5 minutes while I pee"

With a list in hand Arizona drove down the road. "thanks for letting me stay, I hope I'm not in the way"
"no" Arizona sighed "you're not in the way, I'm just having some issues with things"
"going on tour?" Miley asked
"yeah, with everything going on around here, The Coffee House, Callie's book coming out, I just" Arizona stopped as she pulled up to a stop light
"The Coffee House seems to be doing good"
"it's doing amazing Richard told me he was surprised at how well the change in management went, granted we haven't changed anything, as of yet, but"
"hey don't sweat the tour, it'll be over before you know it" Arizona looked over smiling at her friend "why are you here?"
"like I said I missed you" Miley laughed "truth is I don't have very many friends, true friends, so I like to hold the ones I do have close, and y'all have come to be like family" Arizona didn't know what to say, luckily she didn't have to say anything as they pulled up outside the restaurant "god I haven't been to a Mc Donald's in years"
"well come on then" Arizona reached for the door handle and climbed out
"think anyone will recognize us?"
"it's inevitable" Arizona smiled holding the door open for her

"hey I have an idea" Miley said once they were all back in the living room again.
"oh god" Arizona smacked her head
"no, hear me out" she laughed "while I'm here why don't we put on a show at The Coffee House"
"that would be awesome" Callie said "with the three of you the place is bound to be packed"
"we'll have to have every hand on deck for that" Arizona looked at Callie "you think Meredith will mind working the weekend?" Meredith liked having her weekends off, was something Callie was trying to talk her out of. "I'll ask" Callie pulled out her phone typing a quick text.
"we'll set it up for Saturday, doesn't give us long to get advertisement out"
"leave that to me" Teddy said jumping up and leaving the room.

"wow" Miley said looking out at the crowd of people that packed The Coffee House
"I knew it'd be like this" Arizona smiled
"yeah, who wouldn't want to come out and see the three of us preform together" Addy smiled "although I'm a little nervous"
"why?" Arizona asked looking at her
"my mom is here, and as you know, I haven't had a chance to go home, so she has yet to meet Teddy"
"it'll be ok, look" Arizona nodded "isn't that your mom at the counter talking to Teddy right now?" Arizona remembered her mother from the blind auditions she got to meet all of her teams family.
"oh no!" Addy said slapping her forehead, "should I go out there and interduce them?"
"we got time go for it"
"come with me" she pleaded grabbing Arizona's hand, Arizona looked up seeing Miley laugh "go for it I have to make a phone call and go to the bathroom before we go on"
"alright let's go" Arizona said leading Addy out from the back room, behind the counter "hello Mrs. Montgomery" she said with a smile
"hi mom" Addy said shyly behind Arizona
"Addison why are you hiding"
"because, um" Addy came out from behind Arizona, walking over and putting her arm around Teddy "this is Teddy"
"oh I figured as much" she smiled "I'm in town until tomorrow afternoon with your brother, I'd like to have dinner with the two of you, and meet your parents Teddy, if that's alright"
"you can meet them right now" Arizona smiled looking up seeing Barbara and Daniel headed towards the counter. Arizona made her way around the counter, hugging her parents
"sure got a good turn out" Barbara said looking around
"there's no place to sit" Daniel mentioned
"there's a spot reserved for you guys up front" Callie said "your usual?"
"yes please" Barbara smiled
"mom, dad, this is Addison's mom" Arizona said "I'm sorry I don't know your first name"
"it's Catherine, but everyone calls me Cathy" she smiled reaching out to shake Barbara's hand, Barbara smiled "I'm Barbara and this is my husband Daniel" she elbowed Daniel "huh? Oh hello" he smiled "I'm sorry I've never seen this place this packed"
"it's been awhile" Arizona smiled, she saw Miley from the back waving at her "I guess that's our cue" she nodded towards Addy, "it was nice seeing you again, we'll catch up more after the show" she touched Cathy's arm, as she and Addy walked away.

"Welcome everyone" Arizona said into the mic, hoping to get the crowd to settle down. "Callie and I want to welcome you to The Coffee House, now under new management" she cleared her throat "we have a treat for you tonight, is everyone ready?" she heard the crowd holler "yes" "alright" she smiled stepping back from the mic, as Addy and Miley stepped out. Arizona started strumming. They round through the set list they put together, after the 5th song Addy and Miley stepped back "this one is off my new album, which should be coming out soon" Arizona smiled, looking down at her guitar she cleared her throat "this is for you baby"
Walking along beneath the lights of that miracle mile,

As Arizona sang she looked up seeing Callie standing behind the counter in tears, Cristina was next to her with her arms around her. She smiled, as she finished the song, locking eyes with Callie. Once Arizona was done, she stepped back and Addy stepped forward "hello everyone" she said nervously into the mic took a deep breath, looking at Arizona, she started singing

"did she write that for you?" Cristina asked
"I would assume so, we um, we haven't said it" Teddy looked at Callie "outside of that slip up" Teddy shrugged
"guess you have some talking to do tonight" Callie smiled looking up, she stood stalk still forcing a smile "hi April"
"hi Callie" April smiled
"oh that's April" Cristina said, Callie rolled her eyes as she saw Teddy and April make eye contact. She whispered "come on" as she pulled Cristina away

"well this should be interesting" Arizona smiled moving towards the mic "alright guys we're going to take a break, we'll be back in 15" Arizona set her guitar down and made her way off the stage, Addy not far behind her "April, I'm glad you made it" she said hoping to pull her attention off Teddy and on to her. "but aren't you supposed to be in Georgia?"
"plans got changed, I'm not leaving until Monday now, and I'm here because I'm both of your managers and there's no place I'd rather be" April smiled
"my parents are in front if you want to join them" Arizona smiled
"thank you, I just might do that" April smiled "from what I've seen y'all are doing an amazing job"
"thanks" Addy smiled shyly
"April can I get you anything?" Callie asked
"a bottle of water would be amazing" she smiled, there was silence until Callie handed April the water "thanks dear" she smiled and nodded heading towards the table Daniel, Barbara and Cathy were sitting at.
"that was" Teddy said clearing her throat and sighing.
"it was only weird because you made it weird" Cristina said, Arizona couldn't help but laugh "she's right" Arizona looked at her sister "you were the one to make that awkward not her"
"whatever" Teddy said turning around, almost running into Callie who had 3 bottles of water she handed to Arizona, who passed them out to Addy and Miley, smiled "thanks baby" then nodded for them to get back on stage.

"what's wrong?" Callie asked
"my ex is here, how is that not" Teddy said taking a deep breath
"Teddy, she didn't come to see you"
"no she came to see my girlfriend" Teddy huffed "I need a smoke"
"just make it quick" Callie said turning on the boss switch

"we want to thank everyone for coming, and remind you, the albums come out next week, and beginning in January, Addison and I will be touring" Arizona paused for the crowd to hoop and holler, "we have one last song for you tonight, if you watched the show, Addy and I have done it before" she smiled, Arizona started strumming and went into the words of Nothing But a Good Time, just as they did it on The Voice.

"why do you have to make everything so, ugh, I can't even think of the right word" Addy said once they were inside the house
"I, ah" Teddy looked down "I don't know"
"Addy, there's things about Teddy that you are going to learn now that we are home, some of them good, some bad, like you saw tonight" Arizona said
"I didn't mean to" Teddy looked at Arizona "was I mean?"
"no" Arizona said putting her hand on her back "but you weren't nice either"
"to be fair, this is the first time I've seen her since she left LA, it just kind of threw me through a loop, I wasn't expecting"
"how could you not expect her to be there? She's our fucking manager" Addy tossed her phone on the coffee table
"I'm going to let you two" Arizona whispered making herself scarce
"what's going on in there?" Callie asked setting a can of coke on the counter for Miley
"their first fight" Arizona looked back
"over April?" Miley asked
"yeah" Arizona gave a half smile
"well I think everything went great, and we made a good profit tonight" Callie smiled "we'll know more when you do the books tomorrow"
"right, work" Arizona sighed
"if you need any help?" Miley smiled she was in town for another 2 days.
"nah, I got it, you can hang out with Addy, hopefully she'll calm down by then" Arizona laughed still hearing Addy going off in the living room
