Amanda was just looking at Liv, tears in her eyes. Liv holding the ring in her hand, anxiously awaiting Amanda's answer. She was really asking her to marry her. She wanted the forever, she wanted to be with just her. When Olivia looked at Amanda, who was gazing at her, she could see and feel the pure love the blonde woman had for her. The tears started falling down her eyes. "Liv... I... No one has ever kicked my ass more times than you. No one, aside from Fin, really cared deeply about me. About me and not what they could get out of me. You giving a damn about me actually impacted me in more ways than one. I appreciate how much you have supported me through the years, especially as we grew closer. I couldnt imagine being with someone else. You've given me more love and understanding than I've ever had. Well Fin has too, though I love him, his legs arent the ones I want tangled with mine at night. It's your legs I want tangled with mine. So I'm saying yes. Yes, Olivia Margaret Benson I will marry you."
After Amanda said yes, she got up and went over to the other side of the table where her now fiance was sitting. Taking the soft pale hand that now had the ring symbolizing forever on the her ring finger. This felt right, Olivia's nervousness had dissipated. She looked at her fiance, the most gorgeous woman in the room to her. This woman had just accepted what she was so afraid of. Yes Amanda wanted the forever, even though Liv was afraid of a future like that she bit the bullet and did what they needed to grow even more as a couple. Now they were legit promised to each other.
Olivia looked at her wife to be now and spoke softly "You know, you are going to have to guide me through all of this. I never thought I would be sitting here doing this. Never ever once thought that this was in the cards for me. But here I am and it's all because of you Miss Amanda Marie Rollins soon to be Mrs Amanda Marie Rollins-Benson. While I am still scared shitless and I am, the thought of losing you scared me more than marriage. I can't imagine my life being spent with anyone other than you."
Amanda looked at her, "I didn't want to lose you either. I also wanted us to grow, we love each other, and are committed to each other so why not? I didn't want to push you but I couldn't hold it in any longer. But now I'm engaged to the love of my life and now we have the time to plan a wedding. I don't want it too soon cause I want to enjoy this engagement and be able to show off my loving fiance. If you don't mind. Yes I'll keep it quiet at work cause I know how you are and how your privacy is everything but I wanna brag a lil too. Can I?"
Olivia smiled, "Since I love seeing you so happy I can let it slide and let you have your bragging moment. As long as you let me brag about how lucky I am that I get to be the one to love you."
Amanda smiled and blushed a bit. "I'll let you brag about anything you want to Liv. Anything. I don't know if I can express how much this means to me, how much it means that you want to show me off and that you love me. I'm speechless. Really."
She kept twirling the engagement ring and looking at it. It was her most treasured piece of jewelry she owned. "Liv, this ring is absolutely beautiful. I can't stop looking at it. I'm so over the moon happy it's unreal. I thank you for making me the happiest woman on the planet right now." Amanda reached over the table to take her now fiances hand in her own, gazing into her eyes, her heart finding total contentment.
