Overused
When Sokka awoke, he was disoriented. The ground beneath him was rocking back and forth, and he didn't recognize his surroundings at all. He was vaguely aware of the chains bound on his wrists and ankles, more interested in the voices outside his cell.
"What part of 'the girl with the Avatar' don't you understand!" A voice demanded, and Sokka realized the voice belonged to none other than Prince Zuko.
"W-well, your highness, it was late at night… we couldn't all see that well, and when we saw a figure near the river, we captured her- er, him." Sokka was appalled. They couldn't figure out he was a man? Glaring at the door, he listened to the rest of the conversation.
"You have one more chance to capture the girl," The voice he distinguished as Zuko sneered. "But he certainly screamed like one."
Outraged, Sokka stood up and faced the door as he heard keys jingle, signaling that someone was unlocking the cell door.
Trying to look as threatening as possible, Sokka puffed out his chest and attempted to bore holes in the door with his eyes. The heavy iron door creaked in protest as Zuko pushed against it.
He nearly laughed at the sight in front of him. The water peasant was trying to intimidate him?
Without a word, Zuko strode over to where the feeble looking peasant stood and swiftly unlocked his shackles.
"Off my ship," The prince commanded to Sokka, who was gaping at Zuko.
'He doesn't think I'm a threat! I'll show him!' Issuing a war cry, the water 'warrior' rushed the exiled prince with his fist raised, intending to teach him a lesson.
Not four seconds later, Sokka found himself flat on his back.
"I need the water tribe girl," Zuko sneered, "Not some wanna-be."
"Why do you need my sister!" The water boy demanded, ignoring the stab the prince took at him.
Zuko looked at Sokka like he grew a second head.
"Obviously to put us into ridiculously embarrassing situations, with the help of my uncle, we'll fall in love, have me become Fire Lord, then get married and have one waterbender child, and one firebender child, with occasional angst scattered throughout the overused plotline."
Sokka stood with his jaw hanging. Zuko narrowed his eyes.
"What? Don't you read fanfiction?"
