Chapter 14: Assemble

While Anne and Sasha were fighting for their's and Marcy's lives, Amity was back in the Demon Realm with Eda and the others trying to make a portal to Amphibia. To say that their attempts were going well would be…

… A terrible lie…

For about the fifth time, Polly got a little too overeager to build the portal and put in a bit too much Pseudo Blood into the formula, resulting in the door exploding in their faces… again.

"Ok, I really love the destructive energy kid, but please let the pro's handle the portal making." Eda said.

"Agreed…" Raine said as they cleaned soot off of their glasses.

"Awwwww…" Polly groaned.

"Eda, she just wants to help." Amity tried to reason.

"She can help by getting ready. You really think that we aren't going to have to fight when we get there?" Eda asked.

"Yeah, no offense to Luz and that other girl, but I think they might be a bit in over their heads." King said.

"Hey, Luz beat Belos didn't she? I have full faith in her abilities!" Amity said with her arms crossed.

Eda just had a guilty look on her face.

"… Eda?"

"Listen Boots, I know you're not going to like this, but what Luz did to beat Belos… well… It's probably not gonna happen again." Eda explained.

"Yeah, she didn't really seem to like at all what she had to do that day, did she?" King asked.

Amity just sighed.

Eda and King were the only two people in the Boiling Isles to know exactly what Luz did that day.

Eda cause she was the one who fought along side Luz against Belos, and King because he just happened to walk in just before… whatever it was happened.

All that aside, for some reason, Luz made them swear to keep it a secret, even from Amity.

That date in Thai Go was the most that Amity had heard about what Luz did that day.

Seeing the sadness in Amity's eyes, Eda decided action was needed.

"Say Boots, why don't you take the kid and help her get ready?" Eda suggested.

"I dunno, we already have her a supply of explosive potions… what else can we do for her?" Amity asked.

"Well… I have an idea!" Sprig said suddenly.

"And that is…?" Amity asked.

Sprig then hopped onto her shoulder and whispered something.

"Hey… that's a good idea!" Amity said with a smile. "Come on Polly! We have some things to do!"

And with that, Amity left with Polly in tow, back to the Boonchuy's house to get some things.

"I think we should take a break Edalyn, overworking ourselves isn't going to help." Lilith suggested.

"Fair… ok! Let's take thirty people!" Eda said as she sat down in a nearby chair.

Though Hop Pop's glare seemed to keep her from relaxing.

"Uh… can I help you?" Eda asked.

"Oh yeah, I just wanted to know where you found… THIS!" Hop Pop said as he pulled out a familiar looking wallet.

"… Oh yeah! Forgot about that empty thing!" Eda said with a laugh.

While Hop Pop began scolding Eda, Sprig went up to Raine.

"So uh, Raine right?" Sprig asked.

"Uh, yes?"

"So, I was just wondering if you could help me with something."

"Oh? And what would that be?" Raine asked.

"Well…"

Present Day, back in Newtopia

Everyone stayed quiet and listened, trying to make out what that sound was.

Then, it got louder, and louder, and eventually, they were finally able to make out just what it was…

Not just one, but two violins.

That wasn't the important part, the important part was the song that they were playing, and it was a song that Anne recognized all too well.

"Uh… what is this?" Sasha asked.

Anne just smiled as she turned to her friends.

"Flight of the Moth."

At that moment, they saw something fly overhead.

It then began to descend to reveal two faces.

Sprig, who everyone in the group recognized, as well as Raine, a friend of Luz's.

The two of them continued to play, as they flew around the area, all while magic energy continued to flow out of them.

At that moment, another pair of familiar faces emerged from the rooftops and… well…

"EAT MAGIC BOMBS YOU BOZOS! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Polly shouted before chucking a bunch of explosive vials all over the place.

As crazy as that was, the thing that caught everyone's attention was what she was riding.

"Is that… Frobo?!" Anne asked.

"Looks like he got an upgrade! Is that… sludge?" Marcy asked.

Luz smiled at this.

"Abomination goo."

At that moment, a robot decided to try and get a sneak attack in on Luz, while she was distracted.

It was met by a swift stomp from a certain Harpy lady.

"Heya kiddo! Ya miss me?" Eda asked.

"Eda!" Luz said as she went over and hugged her mentor.

"Wait, THAT'S EDA?!" Anne asked.

"Nice to see you again kid." Eda said with a wink.

"Uh…"

"I'll explain the Harpy thing later, don't worry." Eda said.

Anne nodded, accepting that response.

"But wait… where's…?" Luz suddenly asked

At that moment, another robot decided to try and succeed where it's comrade failed… only to get a spike of Abomination goo through the chest from above.

Looking up, they saw the source.

"Stay away from my Luz!" Amity shouted, magic circles at the ready.

"There she is!" Luz shouted.

Andrias just looked on in shock.

"What is going on?!"

"The end of your reign."

Looking up, he saw Hunter, who fired a bolt of energy at Andrias' face, causing him to stumble backwards.

Unfortunately, before Hunter could continue his attack, several cloak-bots came and swiped at him, before a barrier was created.

Hunter then flew down and joined the group.

"Got a good hit on him, but that's all I could do." Hunter said.

"That's fine, good work!" Luz said.

"Sorry we took so long, making a portal here was trickier than I thought." Eda explained. "And when we pulled it off, we ended up in that Wartwood place. We thought we were gonna miss all the fun but… looks like we made it just in time."

"We thought that we would have to just wait until you got back, but then they came and…" Amity started.

"Wait… they?" Sasha and Grime both asked.

At that moment, a gigantic Narwhal Worm suddenly crashed through the front gate of the city, and demolished half the city as it made it's way over to the group.

"… Really good thing the whole city was evacuated when the castle took off…" Yunan said.

When the worm stopped, a giant crowd began hopping off of it's back.

"Sup Grimothy." Beatrix said smugly.

"… Hello Beatrix." Grime groaned out.

"Anne!"

Looking over, Anne saw Hop Pop running towards her.

"Hop Pop!" Anne shouted as she went and gave the old frog a hug.

At that moment, Sprig and Polly landed nearby, before they went over and gave Anne a hug.

"It's so good to see you guys again… and look!" Anne said as she gestured to Marcy.

The three frogs just looked at her in shock, before smiling widely.

"MARCY!" Polly shouted before tackling the girl.

Sprig and Hop Pop quickly joined her and gave Marcy a hug.

"Oh you guys…" Marcy said as she hugged them back.

While they were doing that, Anne looked around at the crowd that had arrived.

A lot of them had already gotten to work, fighting off the robots that previously had them surrounded, but she recognized a lot of them.

Frogs from Wartwood, newts from Newtopia, even toads from Toad Tower.

Then, there were the witches. There weren't many of them, but they all seemed powerful.

One she noticed was a girl in glasses, who seemed to have complete control over plants.

"YEAH! YOU GO WILLOW!" Luz cheered as the girl destroyed a crowd of robots with thorny vines, before giving Luz a small wave.

There as a shorter one… all over the place.

There were a pair of taller ones, who bared a bit of a resemblance to Amity.

Of course, there was Hunter and Eda, but also a long haired lanky one who… strangely reminded her of Eda.

The backpack on her back that was shaped like a small house with some kind of… owl tube… yeah, that was VERY unnerving to Anne.

Then, there were the monster… things.

They all looked a bit like Frobo's updated look.

Except for one, which looked like it was transforming into a multitude of different creatures.

"What are you all doing here?!" Sasha asked Beatrix.

"Well, after Grime here blew off my invitation, I was honestly just gonna leave you two alone… but…" Beatrix stared.

"But…"

"We managed to get through to her."

They looked to the source of the new voice to see…

"Percy! Braddock!" Sasha shouted as she went and hugged the two toads.

"After we saw what happened to the castle, we knew you guys were in trouble." Percy explained. "And when Beatrix said that they were going to just leave you alone… well…"

"I gave her a piece of my mind!" Braddock said proudly.

"She really gave me an earful and well… I reconsidered." Beatrix said.

"And the worm?" Grime asked.

"Turns out it was just cranky from us waking it up from it's nap." Percy explained. "He's actually a big sweetheart!"

"Well then… didn't see that coming." Grime said as he scratched his head.

"Wait a minute…" Luz said before looking all around. "Where's…?"

At that moment, a few robots broke through and were charging at the group…

"WEH!"

Before they were all blown to pieces by a wave of sound.

"Sup peasants!" King said, looking quite smug.

At that very moment though, from the instant that all three of them laid their eyes on him, Anne, Sasha and Marcy all had stars in their eyes.

"OH HOW CUTE!" They all shouted, though Anne accidentally slipped into speaking Thai for some reason.

"Why is it that EVERY HUMAN says that?!" King shouted. "I am not cute! I am intimidating!"

"Anyways…You kids get in there and show that giant lizard what you're made of." Eda said as she patted Luz on the back. "We'll take care of things out here!"

"Right, let's go!" Anne said.

"Wait, hold on." Sprig suddenly said before hopping off.

Eventually, he found his way to Ivy.

"… Hey…" Sprig said.

"… Hey…"

"We're uh… gonna go in and beat the King." Sprig said.

"Right, good luck." Ivy said with a smile.

Then, Sprig did something bold.

And gave Ivy a big kiss.

When they separated, they were both red.

"AAAAAAWWWWWWWWW!" They heard Anne, Marcy and Luz gush in the distance.

"Ivy… I…"

"Go. Save the world. Then, we're going on a date! Got it?" Ivy said with a smile.

Sprig smiled at this and nodded, before hopping back to the group.

"You good?" Anne asked.

"Yeah, let's go finish this." Sprig said as he began hopping towards the castle.

"Ok… Amity! Let's go!" Luz called up.

Amity then flew down to the group, before everyone started running inside.

Though, they noticed someone was missing.

Turning around, they saw Yunan standing her ground.

"Yunan?" Marcy asked.

"I'll hold the line, you all go on ahead." Yunan declared. "No robot shall get past me."

"But…"

"If robots manage to get past the group, it'll make your jobs that much more difficult, and I cannot allow that Marcy." Yunan said.

"Yunan…"

"You called me your friend before Marcy… and yet I could do nothing to help you… now, it is time for me to make up for that failure." Yunan said with a smile.

"… Ok… stay safe." Marcy said.

And with that, the group went inside.

As the group was running, Anne started talking.

"So, I gotta ask dude, what is with the new violin?" Anne asked Sprig.

"Eda's friend Raine gave it to me! It's magic!" Sprig said as he played a note.

"They were against it at first, but we figured that it would be a good way to apologize for Hooty eating him…" Amity groaned out.

"I'm sorry, WHAT?!" Anne asked.

"Yeah… Should of expected that." Luz said with a laugh.

"You seriously have really bad luck when it comes to getting eaten…" Marcy said with a laugh.

"Tell me about it…" Sprig groaned out.

At this point, the group entered a new room, and it became abundantly clear.

They were not getting to Andrias without a fight.

End of Chapter 14

First of all, yes, Raine is alive and well! As I mentioned at the beginning: Everything from The Owl House perspective worked out for them in the end. Everyone survived, Raine was saved, everyone got a happy ending. As such, Raine is here!
